Hotel Corpus Christi bayfront.... Disgusting!02/09/2018 11:09
Reviews of Bayfront Inn Corpus Christi 2*
Loved it! Beach was nice, saw some jellyfish.
We absolutely loved this beach. And then birds are fun around there. Just make sure dont have food just waving around🤣 Its the perfect setting for a fun day at the Beach!
Lt was beautiful and people were enjoying the water.
We had a great stay at the Radisson! Beautiful view.
Nice beach and we will be back soon.
Front desk said the pool is being renovated and said it would be ready by the evening. Never happened! The room was very hot and the ac they replaced was still broken. Owner is extremely cheap. Just out to make his money.
Horrible place to stay! First, one of the elevators wouldn’t work but closed us inside! Then the room! The sink was NOT attached to the wall! Phone didn’t work, Not kid friendly at all, no bath tub! Had to pay $10.00 to park in their garage, got up next morning and our truck had been broken into. The whole place was filthy! The coffee was good though!
They charge $10 plus tax for parking fee. This is a very old hotel a little bit better than average motel 6. Beds are clean. Today Saturday August 25 with special price room charge of $105 for double queen beds non smoking for 2 people plus parking fee and taxes you will end up paying $131.58 for one night stay. Over all not a bad place to stay one night. There is only a coffee shop in the hotel, no restaurant. Continental breakfast is very basic.
Very awful experience overall. Restroom very out dated. No water pressure in the shower. Toilet is right up against the wall you have to sit side ways to use it. Don’t leave anything important in your car/truck. All of our fishing equipment was stolen overnight even the drinks we had still in the ice chest. The only plus to it all would be that the door staff was extremely friendly always ready to open the door and help you to your car.
Room itself was lacking. It had no vanity in the bathroom, only a small, unpainted wooden shelf. Entire hotel was a bit outdated and in disrepair. Continental breakfast was very basic. The service, on the other hand, was outstanding. Extremely polite from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Downtown CC. Walking distance to the beach. Great view of the ocean.
My son loves Bayfront hotel, we come here very often to enjoy the beach and the marina.
Disgusting. Went on spring break it was the cheapest beachfront hotel ($120/night) the pics SEEMED okay. The hotel was old and raggedy. There was green water in the pool with algae. Go to the room there was black mold in the tub and on the ceiling. The door wouldn't even close. We tried to get a different hotel but all were booked (spring break) we asked for a betterroku. That one was better… the door closed and there wasnt mold. But still nasty. Paint was peaking I. The tub. I was afraid to shower while staying there let alone eat the breakfast they offered… which consisted of store bought pantry items btw. I showered at a gym and just went ate out for breakfast. We tried to go to the room as little as possible. Thanks Expedia lol for the deceitful pics.
Make sure you are prepared for a 5 pm check in. (with 11 am check out) They should of had more desk staff on for the long line that formed. The desk staff was very nice for what they were going through. Odd amount of air fresheners posted above the 1st floor elevator rooms. If you’re lucky enough to get 2nd floor room the parking garage is accessible from same level. Pool was very disappointing (judging by green tint) seems to be. Problem with equipment— — algae build up. Beds and bedding seem to have been upgraded lately and were very nice, however you may want to bring your own towels if you like soft ones. Maintenance of building is as described by others. Much older building and looks like may have been something really incredible in its day. All things said O won’t be returning, we were really expecting to be able to use the pool and couldn’t.
Pictures of property and rooms are extremely deceiving. Parking was very tight and not enough parking spaces. Had to park away from the "free" parking advertised. Pool could only be utilized if you had a wrist band which had to be given at the desk right before you swim. Only 1 old washer and dryer on the whole property, which are not free, but advertised as amenities. Washer and dryer are located outside of the building open to the public. Girls at the front desk not friendly at all. "Breakfast" hours are not accommodating for the majority 6a. M. — 9a. M. Only and could only sit about 5 people. ONLY plus, was the location.
Rooms were available with 3 beds at a good price. The building seems older because things have not not been properly maintained. The beds were clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was very basic and had cereal, toast, and packaged pasteries.
Always read the fine print. I did not do this and these people charge my card at the time of making the reservation. When I called the next day to cancel this transaction, they tell me they're a non refund hotel. To refund something, there has to be a transaction. I gave them money, they gave me nothing. This is a cancellation! Never the less, I'm out of 117 dollars. Thank you for nothing! I never heard of this and I work in the hotel business with Marriott. The worse experience I have ever had. If this is how you handle business in the beginning, I will never give you a chance to make this even worse.
There’s no Wi-Fi, Pay to Park $10/night Plus tax. Staff was nice, they didn’t tell me there would be an up charge to move me to a room that didn’t smell like mold though. The second room was not too much better smell wise but it wasn’t overbearing like the first room. Only one of the elevators works, we took the stairs the whole weekend because to be quite honest the elevator that was working seemed like something out of silent hill (rickety and needs to be serviced) the breakfast was pretty good (cereal, toast, OJ). The pool is on the second floor and needs to be cleaned. The front desk staff proclaimed that the second elevator had been out of order for quite some time. We woke up to two cockroaches in our bathroom. It’s definitely a two star hotel.
For the price … You get what you paid for. Staff is friendly and very helpful to handicapped people. A value. Other people that give this hotel bad reviews are wrong. They are expecting the Waldorf Astoria at a low price. I am very happy with this hotel on my many stays there.
My family and I have had the worst stay at this so called hotel. For starters the parking was $10 per night, and all while parking at your own risk in the very own parking garage of the hotel (what kind of hotel does not provide assurance of your car not getting stolen or broken in to?! ). Secondly, the lobby was not up to par with the pictures online. It was very torn and worn out as if it has not been furnished in decades. Rooms were very dingy and not comfortable what-so-ever. Mattresses along with the pillows were harder than a rock. Bathroom was immediately discovered with roaches. At night the hotel seems like something out of a horror movie, elevators were, so we were forced to use employee elevator which lead us to the utility area and the look of the areas were very eerie. Breakfast: Garbage. Overall the stay was terrible do not recommend, go stay at the Omni or the Holiday Inn across the street.
The WORSE experience EVER. Things that were spoken to us were not true. German roaches, water bugs broken ac elevator not going up to our floor. Mold everywhere. Erika Delgado threaten to call the police on us and treated us like dirt. We are currently waiting for police to show up. Dont forget the mold and broken pool… breakfast toast, bagel, or cereal… please feel free to reach out to me I will give you every reason NOT to book this terrible place.
Honestly I can't even rate this hotel. They don't have cribs, bath chairs for people that are disabled. The showers were disgusting, no hot water at all… I'm very disappointed. The pictures show a whole different story … it was hot as hell inside. The one thing I enjoyed was the cafe. Wi-Fi don't work. They gave my 1 year old head lice. We've been itching and we got bites on our bodies and there's roaches. The staff don't care, and very very rude.
This evaluation is prior to arrival. I am being charged 30 days in advance for a reservation that was booked as pay on arrival. I am being told that this policy was just updated in the past few days and it is subject to my reservation even though it was booked 2 months ago. I did not receive a call to advise me of this "policy" change, my card was just charged. When trying to resolve this matter I was placed on hold for what was suppose to be a "quick moment" and turned into 20 minutes and could have been longer if I didn't hang up. I will not be staying at this hotel. It is very unprofessional to charge someone a month in advance without so much as a phone call to advise of new policy changes.
Stayed one night payed for two, wouldn't refund me the second night due to their own health violations. Absolutely disgusting.
Not a great place to stay. For $130 a night I expect a little better. Ninth floor room with elevator that will only go to even numbered floors to start (they did get this fixed eventually). The carpeting is dirty and torn (looks like it's from the 70s), very nasty. The lobby furniture was dingy and torn. The "breakfast" was a bagel or cold cereal, not at all what I expect for a hotel. The tiny pillows on the not very comfortable mattress. I could go on but needless to say I won't be back or recommend to anyone. Only plus: front desk staff at check-in was very pleasant.
Was planning on staying here but after looking at all these reviews, THERE IS NO WAY IM EVER GOING THERE. The worst part is about 2 years ago they had help from hotel impossible and yet, these problems have still not been solved. They just brought them back and that is unacceptable. After watching the show I thought, maybe this would be a good place cause the hotel went from a nasty smelling place to a pretty decent area. However, IM SHOCKED and SO SURPRISED to see that no one NO ONE such as the manager is addressing these re-occurring problems. I'm very disappointed in this hotel. If I could give this review no stars, then I would.
I was referred by a friend that stays here often. I was very impressed with the efforts of the staff to do everything they could to make my stay pleasant. I will definitely stay here any time I am in the area. The location is great for business as well as tourism — close to everything. The breakfast was great and again, I can't say enough about the staff!
Currently staying here at hotel Corpus Christi bay front. First off let me start with the arrival. I drove up to the entrance way being completely flooded because a pipe busted. Had to VERY cautiously walk into the lobby where it was flooded even more. I must state I’m 9 months pregnant in sandals. Only saw one “caution” sign, which was inside the lobby by the elevators. I check in and was told that the water wasn’t working. I am here for work related reasons with my spouse and his employees. They were not able to shower till 720pm because the water was off. They work all day outside so of course they smell and felt gross. I may also add that while I was laying in the bed under the comforter I felt something tickle my leg. To my surprise it was a damn roach. There was also roaches on my fruit cup that I had just opened up 5 minutes prior and 3 roaches in the restroom on the wall and on the toilet. I called front desk to speak to a manager or general manager I was told neither are in or available. They offered to simply change my room. For the amount we paid for this hotel a night (about $170) the service and atmosphere was horrible. I would not recommend this place at all. Also forgot to mention when we checked in there was long beard hair or other type of course hair in both sinks and around the toilet and inside the bath tub as well.
Cockroaches, smelly rooms, ugly decore, NO business center, unhelpful bad attitude having staff. Never making the mistake of staying here again.
Nasty hotel. Don’t stay here. I travel often and rarely have problems with hotels but this one is gross. Very dirty and outdated. Didn’t even want to sleep in the bed, sheets didn’t look clean, bathroom had stains everywhere. Just all around gross.
Nice people at the front desk. The refrigerator and the microwave didn't work. And the heater didn't work either. It's an ok place to stay at for a couple of nights.
Total teardown! The roof has multiple layers peeling off. It’s a shame because the location is superb.
I love this place. Staff is so nice, rooms are big and the dining area is beautiful. Clearly this place has a historic feel to it that is warm and enjoyable. I'll go back again for sure.
We stayed in room 714, it was gross. The curtains did not close all the way so I hope Corpus enjoyed the show. The room is in serious need of a deep cleaning and my husband's life was threatened twice by panhandlers roaming the property. I've been in the hotel business twenty years and this is run down and unacceptable.
Hotel is old, don't expect much. The view is good of the harbor. 10$ for parking too. Nice staff. Time to build a new one.
Worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel establishment. Not only was the customer service horrible, I walk into my room and there was rats in my room. Not just 1 but 3 huge rats! And once I asked them for my refund because I would not be sleeping their they told me to get off their property. I’ve given my business in the past but never again.
Asked for ground floor room, got 3rd floor and "upgraded" to 2nd floor. Tv did not work in the first room so got moved to room next door. Bathroom floor was very slick, no coffee pot in room, and half the lamps had no bulbs in them.
It is well situated along Ocean Drive road, not difficult to locate. Their services is good. It is just a place of shelter, so have plans to procure your meals and other necessities that will make your stay memorable. The cost is very reasonable for individuals who need a low-cost shelter this may be your first alternative.
Lone traveller, not driving Location: Good, near the bay, about 15 minutes walk from greyhound bus station. Room: Old hotel with old furniture. Everything that can rust rusted. Housekeeping probably did their job but a major renovation is due. Tables are a bit sticky but don't exactly feel dirty which I don't understand why. No doorway light. Spacious enough, but I can't find a good spot to open my luggage due to the overall poor lighting in room. Suspiciously unclean though no smell is detected — flies in room, reception area and dining area. My room faces the northeast; can see some part of the sea but not sunrise, rooms that faces the sea will be able to see the sunrise. Breakfast: Nothing much. Just cereals, instant oats and bagels.
Room smelled like mildew when we walked in Cockroachs started to scatter from the comforter on bed. Roaches every where got a refund and ran.
Hotel had great view and friendly staff. Adrian from the coffee shop was phenomenal and made us feel welcomed.
Better than sleeping in the truck but not by much. Door locks look like made in the 70s. Who uses a punch card for locks any more. Place needs a major overhaul to get even a 2 star rating in my book. Never will stay there again.
I have never been to a worse place to stay in my life. The clerk's are all so rude and there are no vending machines in the entire building. The air conditioning unit had black mold growing in it. I had to threaten to bring the media in to look at the mood for them to even move me to a different room. I would stay in Kandahar again before ever returning here.
You get what you pay for, so if you DON'T want air conditioning, clean carpets, proper plumbing, lamps that work, unbroken locks, or all around maintenance of walls, tiles, and ceiling (with no fans), then this is the place for you. Just 2 beds, towels, and the smell of urine on the way to your room. This is not an exageration, this was mine and my husband's experience. So if you're really needing to save money and just looking for a roof over your head, then go for it. Otherwise, spend the extra 50 to 60 bucks on a nicer hotel. It's worth it.
Overpriced for the quality of the rooms and hotel in general. Unpainted walls, obvious roof repairs needed, dirty floors and bathrooms, roaches found in bathroom. I am very glad to have brought my own pillow cases and sheets it was the only way I could mentally lay on the bed. I do not recommend this hotel.
For a hotel of $85, 000 is lousy! It has No sea view! The view is to some very ugly buildings! The room is not bad for the price, the elevator was damaged and I touched on the 9th floor (up and down the service elevator) horrible! Pesimoooo Breakfast! You'd better say it doesn't include breakfast! Only cereal with milk and bread with Jelly and cream cheese. Very bad!

This fence. Of. Celina's statue in memory of Celina my ídola of Chicano music.
This hotel us not clean. The room was not clean. The beds are uncomfortable. The key cards malfunction. The pool is not clean. The parking area had people smoking near the no smoking signs. The elevators malfunction. The free breakfast is cereal toast milk and juice. The parking is ridiculous. The price is too high for the quality of the accommodations.
Beautiful Hotel with panoramic view to the Festival.
Hotel is full of roaches very un clean. Staff is extremely rude… Won't even let u ask questions… I asked for a manager she told me there was no manager for me to talk to… this is the worst hotel ever all I wanted was to talk to a manager so may be we could figure things out but all I got was rudeness and same things he trained that young guy she works with… It was so messed up I devote my time in changing this or get that place shut down now if they were corgal I would have looked past it but the rudeness and unprofessional aspects were under real. I wouldn't doubt they have bed bug's. Because the roaches ran freely it was disgusting.
The most disgusting hotel by far. I did not sleep because I had to keep watch for the infestation of roaches and spiders. They were not willing to give a refund. I left after the first night and paid for another hotel. It was so bad I could not put up with it and had to throw my money away there plus spend more for a real accommodating hotel. My brother booked it and after doing research we realized they were on the show hotel impossible. Guess what, it is still IMPOSSIBLE. Don't waste your money unless you wanted to sleep with roaches crawling all over you.
The 1st room I was in had an AC unit full of black mold. At one the, it appears to have been a great hotel. The beds are like sleeping on a brick floor. The night clerk is a smart butt with an attitude, rude. I try to be positive and do mean what I say. The elevator has taken me down when I was trying to go up. Just frustrating as a hotel.
Worst hotel I ever stayed. They didn't even have towels in the room I was assigned. Took 20 minutes to get someone to bring me towels. The Wi-Fi is very weak. The breakfast is a joke. The parking is not free. Reception was not professional at all. Do not stay in this hotel, you better off at motel 6.
If I could give this place another star I'd be lying. I walked in place looks great nice ppl at the counter very friendly. Get to the room. Then all the truth is revealed! Walk in beds are presentable. Close the door… O wait the door doesn't even shut unless you slam it shut.
My bf & I had reservations for 2 nights aug 4&5 this place is horrible & disgusting the first room they gave us door would not open so they moved us to a 2nd room omg! room smelled dirty roach shells on counters blood on back of the door dirty sock on the floor bed looked dirty walls very dirty we had to run to walmart to get our own bed sheets 2 cans of Lysol 1 st night was horrible we couldn't do a 2nd night in this place checked out to look for a better place jut couldn't stay here another minute ask for a refund for the 2 nd night he S aid I would see it in a couple of days back in my card ugh never received it so I called the manger he said there was no record of us leaving early ughhhhhh pissed I was yes I spoke my mind about this ugly ass place after 15 min of arguing w/ him I finally received my $$$ back PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IT S UNSAFE! hopefully hurricane Harvey will blow this place down!
Very bad experience at this hotel… we came May 5, 2017 and had to be moved because the a. C. Broke in our first room… then we found hair in our beds in the second room so they gave us a voucher for a free stay for any inconvenience… so we came back 08/19/17… We found rouches on our bed and fridge. By this time we try looking for another hotel but everything was booked. So we go complain and they moved us rooms. We had water leaking in the roof and sink area… Horrible experience. They are over charging on top of all that, this place sucks!
Good location with a good staff. They have a towel policy and you can't ask for extra pillows and blankets. Room is average but fridge didn't work. Breakfast was cereal and bagels. The Irish Pub on first floor is good. Overall was a good hotel at a great price.
I can't believe the health dept hasn't shut this place down. Mold and mildew was everywhere. Totally gross! We lasted about 5 mins. Left in a hurry after realizing aftr 5 minz our skin was sticky!
-5☆ / lowest rate available One word to describe that place. Abanded rat hole… All the other bad comments are true. Hurry up To visit that place before social health close it.
This by far is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at! Only water that worked in our room was the cold water! We had no hot water for showers at all! They're breakfast was horrible and the smell in our room was awful! It smelled. Like mildew. We had a guy come up to us outside and tell to make sure we locked everything up because there was a lot of thieves down there! They charge for parking in an area that is not even safe to park in! Their room service was awful! Never will stay there again and I would not recommend it to anyone EVER! I heard guests talking about roaches though I myself never saw them I know they were there GROSS!
This place is not worth the money. The overall look of the hotel is unpleasing and there is even a $10 charge for parking in a structure where I was worried about parking my car for fear it would get broken into. The parking structure did not feel safe and it was not well lighted. I don't usually post ratings on websites but this place was bad. The only good thing I can say about this place is that I slept well because the bed was comfortable. The hotel and the room somewhat were not estheically pleasing. If the things I mentioned don't bother you, then this is the hotel for you. Have a good trip.
I can't believe I booked this place for 3 nights. I feel sad and hurt that I brought my kids to experience a grand weekend and didn't get what was expected. The whole place needs a face lift, the room smelled of mildew, the whole room needs an upgrade to 2017. After reading reviews last night I will not swim in the pool. My husband woke up early today and thought he would surprise me with breakfast… But instead I woke up to him cursing the breakfast and saying it wasn't worth a beeeep. When asked what it was, my husband said it was toast and cereal and bad coffee. The lock to our room wouldn't open, you had to play with the card and the lock for about 5 mins. Paint on the doors were falling off in chunks with rust and sharp edges. There was no refrigerator, microwave or coffee pot in the room. Compared to other reviews I didn't see no roaches or lice. The stairwells did smell like urine. And from what my husband stated most of the other rooms he walked by and windows were open he said the beds weren't made. Didn't have a problem with wet or sticky carpet compared to other reviews. We were on the 3rd floor and wished we had a bayfront view. Oh and I can't forget the room numbers were all over the place and not in order. How did this place pass inspection? I guess someone is getting reported to the City of Corpus and the Better Business Bureau.
It's an older hotel, but they were updating the rooms. It was clean. The staff friendly. The continental breakfast was very basic and it ended at 9 am. And they meant 9 am! Close to the beach and marina. Parking was $10 a day in the parking garage. I thought paying for parking was unusual. I seen absolutely NO bugs of any kind in the rooms or building! Overall we enjoyed our stay in Corpus Christi.
I love that it's close to the Bay area. The best part is that it's pet friendly. I ain't thrilled about the parking charge considering how condensed that area is and it took FOREVER to get an elevator. The air in our room is too small for that big room. The beds were comfy and the ability to have refrigerator and microwave in the room was great. The ice machine didn't work.
This place is extremely horrible! beware. Stinks like mildew, roaches in room, carpet wet, sheets wet, very very very rude and racists, stains on sheets that looked like blood and bed had bed bugs and hair on it which is completely unacceptable, I went to complain to the guy at the front desk. He was helpful somewhat and was willing to move us. He even showed me the room, but he had to get it approved by his manager first… while waiting for the manager he walked in the door and yelled at me and said how come I didn't complain sooner… total disrespectful. Started saying he could just give me $25.00 back after paying $102.00 for the night. I was not going to be disrespected. He said what do you want me to do? we have no other rooms available. I said what about the room that your employee showed me, then he turned around and at his && began to yell at him and said why did he show me a room. I was very persistent about getting my money at that point since I felt totally disrespected by the manager. He even threw the money at me as he was refunding me. The entire time this manager was talking to me he was yelling and pointing his fingers towards me. I told him I was going to definetely take the time to write a review about them, he said we don't care … look at all the reviews we have, we don't care. I will never ever ever stay at this hotel again! I would rather stay at the beach or pay the extra money to stay elsewhere than waste my time at this place.
This is a rough deal but I needed an affordable motel in the immediate area, and was glad to have the room. The clerk was efficient; and showed me the room prior to any paperwork (that tells you something). The bed and bed linens, and bathroom were clean and comfortable. No pests present. AC and cable TV worked. There was a strong stench of mold.
Beautiful 1st class hotel that I will visit again when I go to Corpus Christi. The hotel was clean, friendly service and wonderful scenic views and had comfortable beds!
Absolutely loved this hotel! It was a great experience with my family on the 15th floor. Great service and very generous workers! We stayed from friday the 8th to tuesday the 12th. I absolutely love it here.
My family and I stayed here for 1 night. We found the $99 deal on Groupon. Nice people, they were very helpful. We had a two queen bed room, but they were more twin sized. The beds were far from comfy, they are spring mattresses. The room was nice, although the shower and sink drains were clogged, it took a long time for the water to go down which is gross, also the water flow was so slow! The cooler fridge kept our drinks nice and cold. The room had good space. The ac was weird, but it was confortable. It sucks they charge you for Wi-Fi. There werent any chairs out on the balcony and we had a good view of the ocean. We brought along my 15 month old and she found a pill of some kind and she found moist absorbing beads. Good thing I caught her in time before she swallowed anything! But I can't be mad at the hotel, because it's not like they are a daycare lol toddlers will find anything. The main reason I gave it 3 stars was the beds. I couldn't get any sleep. I'm glad we paid 99 bucks for the room, because it's supposed to be 599 a night which I do not think it is close to being worth that much.
I enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean. They did a movie and popcorn thing for kids at night at the pool. The pool bar was good. The coffee shop was a nice addition. Our room was clean. The staff was very helpful. Actually, the wind blue over a table and knocked my sweet tea mojito over. Within seconds the bar tender brought me a new drink and they fixed the table for the wind conditions all without me needing to point it out or complain. The fitness room was also nice. The beach near the hotEl was clean and not crowded. The Texas aquarium was wOrth checking out also.
3rd floor for Police Conference, bathrooms were clean, bar was friendly and courteous. Food was very good but a little over priced. Elevators ran really slow. Gym and pool were good. Room was clean cool.
Would give it 0 star if it were possible. Room was in major deteriorating conditions. Mold all over bathroom, mold odor unbareable the whole stay. Damaged interior and exterior. Staff was not friendly nor helpful. I wish I could figure out how to upload photos to show how bad this place is.
Checked in, and upon arrival the room was still littered with trash from the previous guest. Additionally, one of the light fixtures in the bathroom vanity did not work, not did the TV.
This place is disgusting. Huge and baby roaches everywhere man at the front desk refused to give us another room just horrible customer service! NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE.
Ever pull into a parking lot and think "I've made a terrible mistake"? You will if you book here! Only good thing about it is the location. I should have ponied up the extra $50 and booked next door.
They had a room in a pinch. Neat looking place. It's old it definitely looks it's age. If you are looking for fancy and luxury you might want to go elsewhere but we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!
It's a cool looking hotel inside. The room I got had a nice view of the docks, it had a smell though. We had a 2 bedroom. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was just bread, cereal, and juice and when they say till 9am they mean 9 am, that's really the only thing I didn't like. Outdoor pool, it wasn't that great really cold. Parking seemed sketchy, but they have really good security. There's a cafe open 24 hours connected, would recommend the hotel!
It served is purpose for what you pay for it. It was clean, slight smell to the room (probably from the age). I would recommend bringing your own towels, unless you wanna dry off with a luffa. The beds were ok, and the pillows the same. I would stay there again in a pinch. Overall it was ok.
Bad location and to long of wait for room. You have to pay for parking each day. After pre payment and payment of parking we decided it wasn't even worth staying at!
This plays is so dutry and nasty perfect plays for homeless ppl the have weard ppl henging out on parking not good plays at all really dirty you be better at motel 6 nat safe and don't keep yours stuff in the. Room the are not respansible. If something happens to it Hahah stay o way.
Yes, it's something out of the 70s-80s. Yes, it could use an update. But, our room was clean and it was reasonably priced for the area. The breakfast was not bad (i. E. Danishes, cereal, etc. ). It's really a cost-benefit thing here. You get what you pay for here.
THIEVES! I paid for my stay through Expedia and now they are charging my personal account AGAIN for a two night stay on the card that I had to pay for PARKING with. When I call to get it taken off, YOLANDA was smartmouth and yelling about their stupidity. Seriously this place needs new workers.
Musty smell. Toilet side is right against the wall. Feces stains. By door. Shower is in disrepair. Bad TV and internet reception. Non refundable once booked. Must pay for parking.
If you really want to stay here, you may need to get a lawyer. The place is a scam. From the outside it looks nice The lobby is beautiful You are thinking this is going to be a nice place. When you get to your room, it is trash. There were bugs and mildew stains from a leak on the ceiling. The bathroom door was all tore up and the tub was not cleaned. They put me another room just as terrible and told me I was being accommodated. So, it is an accommodation to not have bugs and mildew in the room. I couldn't leave the hotel because they said they had a no refund policy… I was supposed to stay 3 days. Their policy (which I ended up reading) actually says they will charge you for the first night, not the entire stay. Yet, I was told they would charge me my entire stay, and when I left early, they did. They charged me $467.00 for a one night stay where the room was $113.00 and they refuse to credit the account. Stole my money. Room service also stole my tablet. The woman who cleaned the room took the tablet and all she had to say was "I never saw it" and they never looked into it. The place is complete trash. Don't give your money to them. — low standard, trashy, and a complete scam. — you would be much happier at the super 8 down the street.
Just don't… I could have sworn I saw dried up blood on my pillow, my grandma saw a roach, and don't be fooled by the cafe downstairs. They only sell food on the weekends. The pool was disgusting don't let your kids anywhere near it. I swear there was a sh*t stain on the ceiling. I hope they get shutdown.
Hated it, the a/c didn't work in the room we told them about it we ask for a fan and didn't get one it was so hot, not clean, burn marks all in the bathroom, pool was dirty. When we checking out and was telling them about my stay they looked at us crazy. We would not stay here again.
Nothing at all the place was horrific when we checked out the manager was asleep on the coach the room smelt like mold and sewage the showers didn't drain properly and one night there was lotion all over our bed (I hope it was lotion) and the maids just covered it up other rooms had holes in the doors.
All the reviews are true. Its a terrible hotel. But I will add my disappointments to the list. At 2:30 am the fire alarm goes off and wakes the entire hotel up. It was a false alarm. The laundrey facility has no detergent and neither does the front desk who recommended I try a bar of soap. Right now I am sitting in the corridor looking at an emtpy liquor bottle, bones from a half eaten piece of chicken, and a pair of disgusting cowboy boots with the toes cut out. Oh and I kept getting bit by something in my room.
If you want an honest, recent review about this place then take 2 minutes to read this. We arrived 6/26/15 and will be leaving 6/29/15. Honestly this place wasn't that bad. There were some things that had me questioning our stay. The location was kinda ghetto. You had people near and around the hotel that would ask me for my change. But hobos and drug addicts are found almost anywhere. Looking on Google maps it showed the hotel right by the beach. Which it is. But don't think your gonna walk to the beach to play in the sand. You're planted right by the docks which was kinda disappointing because I was thinking we would be able to walk to the beach, but the Sandy areas were about 2 miles away. Still not far but not a walking distance with a 2 year old. I was kinda caught off guard when we walked into our hotel room to not find a fridge or a microwave so bring ice chests and a burner. I never had the opportunity to try the breakfast here so I can't speak for that. You have to pay for parking which was another surprise. Our toilet has a pretty severe leak and our bathroom door wouldn't shut because the top hinge was missing. The pool was decent. Staff for the most part was nice despite the ex con looking towel dudes who didn't even have the decency to respond when you tried making conversation. One of the elevators was broken which meant taking the stairs or waiting 15 minutes to catch the elevator.
I would give this hotel 0 stars the place smells like moldy butthole the staff is special I think the pay by the hour hotel would be better.
I would not recommend the place to my worst enemy! It's full of mold! The rooms are not clean! AND the smell is rancid! Most pathetic place ever.
Do not set your hopes too high. Hotel staff VERY polite and courteous. Problems I had: Fridge and microwave are an added and almost expected bonus but I was made to pay extra for a room that had these now a day given appliances. They wanted to charge me $40 a day extra but then brought it down to $20 a day. So an extra $160 that I feel I should be refunded. Especially after finding a whole storage area containing nothing more than around 30 fridges and microwave combinations just sitting there. Secondly you have to pay for parking. Stop nickel and diming! Get to the level of customer satisfaction first that allows for paid parking. Bathroom, mainly shower was Gross. Maid service NEVER remembered rto replenish coffee or styro cups. I had to go each day to find and ask for coffee and cups. Hotel registration tines are shared with on site coffee shop. I once left a used towel on registration desk and found it STILL there 8 hours later. Even though I had the DND card on door we were interrupted twice. Staff didn't even have our correct check out date handy. COCKROACHES! Yes lots of establishments have them BUT they seem to be doing something about it. The manager, who I know has gone through quite a lot according to Hotel Impossible, seems to have given up. Saw her 3 times and never with a smile. Good Luck to your future. It COULD be a great hotel. John.
Old snd crappy. Poor service and no room to sit or eat for the morning breakfast. Should have slept in the beach. Literally.
Worst Hotel Ever! Manager was less than helpful very unprofessional. Rooms smell, stains on wall restrooms dirty after 30 minutes I found another hotel up the road across the bridge that had rooms. Thank you Radisson you saved me. I asked the manager to a credit she refused called my travel agency, after talking with the manager she still refused mentioned I stayed in the room for over an hour as the reason she could not provide a refund.
So we booked the hotel a month in advance and we get there and they won't let us check in until 3pm. So we had to drive around with all our luggage in the car for 3 hours. We go back at 3 and they tell us the room isn't ready? We had to wait another hour and a half for the room. So we had to check in at 4:30 already aggravated with the situation the receptionist tells us we have to pay for parking. They should have at least given us free parking for the hour and a half delay. But of course they didn't. And the breakfast was complete joke. Never going back there again.
First of all, I should have read the reviews. This place has gone to s#! t. I use to love staying here. It USE TO be nice but, now management has let this place go down the toilet. Not only were they to happy to take my reservation and charge me but! They wouldn't even let me check in till 3 p. M. They did NOT refund me my money so I could go else where but instead, they were all to happy to send me (literally) out in the rain and wait till 3 p. M to check in. I am NOT kidding. Thunder stoming out side and I could not get a room unless I wanted to pay by the hour till check in time.
I have attempted to resolve a no show credit with the Hotel management at the Corpus Bayfront Hotel since middle of Feb. 2015 and it is now April 6, 2015 and I still have no resolution. I have contacted Holiday Inn priority club help line and they are unable to resolve the issue. I under no circumstances would recommend that business travel be booked at this hotel; they are very unfriendly if you have to cancel reservation.
The hotel lobby was almost as cold as it was outside. The rooms were cold all night and the inadequate heater/ac unit did not help much. Went to use the restroom and a big roach crawled out to say hi. The lock on the bathroom didn't work, The water was cold as hell, the front door was cracked. The blow-dryer didn't work. The sheets were dirty. Picked up the phone to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. The beds appeared to be on homemade frames and the cheap blankets didn't help much. The TV in the room was from ancient times. If you stay here don't turn on a black-light anywhere near the bed I did and it looked like 3 fat crackheads had a MMA fight! If it was $50 a night I would give it 1 1/4 stars but I was charged $90. The morning breakfast was a joke (toast, bagels and some cereal? ). I liked the pub connected to it and that's why It got a star from me at all. If you want somewhere to smoke some meth or bang some heroin this is your hotel. It may be fun to do a haunted hotel investigation but otherwise this place is useless. It really needs a hotel makeover or a book of matches. This was even the official hotel for the MMA fighters! Shameful accommodations. All the 5 star reviews are fake and I would read all of the 1 and 2 star reviews and then not go here.
What a nightmare! We were put into the Presidential Suite — what a joke! It had broken down furniture, a smell that could be only described as Urine, old style TVs with very, very few channels. It was absolutely horrible. Stay away from this place. It was so bad, we had prepaid for 2 nights, yet checked out after one night — chalking it up to one big mistake. Don't you all make the same. A real dump.
Worst Hotel I've ever been to, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, First of all, you have to pay for your parking, then you get in the hotel and it's HOT everywhere it's H*O*T, Then we got in to our room and it was SO HOT in there too, turned on the AC and it did not cool done till 3 hours, then there was bugs in the shower it was all dirty and yellow and when my husband went to look for his watch he thought he lost he found someone else's sandals right by the bed, (this room wasn't cleaned at all) THEN there was a hug hair ball by our other bed, this place is disgusting i'm not even kidding you, and it smells so bad. Im so glad I brought my Scentsy Plug in! Never again will I come to this hotel EVER AGAIN.
Do not go here. I strongly urge you to NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. This was by far, the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. When I checked in, I asked for an additional room key since I was given one and I had booked for 2 adults, double bed. The man became very angry and told me that I couldn't have another key and if I don't like it then I can leave their hotel. It seems the owner, husband and wife were manning the front desk. I told him that I was on a work trip and that the other person would need a key. The woman got up and cut me off and told me I could leave, or pay $10 for an extra room key. They were the rudest, most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. I left to the room very unhappy. I get to the room and from here things only get worse. The room smelled of mold, very badly. The air conditioner sounds like a sewing machine was being assaulted by a blender. I sat in the chair, and it literally fell to pieces beneath me (and I am not a heavy person). There was no hot water. Zero. I took a freezing cold shower in a bathroom that looked like it had not been cleaned for years. The grout was BLACK, and the tub was peeling. The toilet was not screwed on and swiveled when you sat on it. The worst thing of all. All of the walls were covered in fuzzy black little balls of MOLD. There was mold EVERYWHERE. I started looking at the walls more closely and saw that they ALL had mold growing on them. There was a crack in the wall that was black. With mold.
We booked this hotel online through Expedia because of the location. It was an awful experience. The hotel is old and dirty, smelled like mold, the carpet was really dirty. The bathroom light wasn’t working, I tried to call the hall but the phone was disconnected. We have to wait 30min for the “manager” to arrive. He didn’t like we had the door open to ventilate the room; he wanted to put a bedside lamp to provide light to the bathroom. At the end they changed the room; the “new” one as filthy as the first one and smelled the same, the TV control didn’t work and part of the walls plastening were broken, the air conditioner unit made so much noise. It was late night to begin looking for a different hotel. In the morning we preferred to go to a restaurant to have breakfast than risk to have the continental breakfast they offer. When we check out I asked for a receipt but they didn’t want to give us any. What we paid was TOO MUCH for what we received.
WORST HOTEL EVER! PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE! Horrible staff, very unclean hotel, hotel equipment does not work! Found old rotten banana under bed. Toilet ran all day! HUGE WAD OF HAIR IN BATHTUB! Hotel room door key didn't work. Went down twice to complain. Took over 2 hours for someone to come up to let us in door. A police officer in CC told us that the hotel was on the travel channel as the worst hotel in CC. I looked it up and sure enough it is! "The hotel is understaffed, filthy and smells terrible. " — travel channel this hotel should be shut down.
Just to start I don't right reviews, but this place just really pissed me off! Rented a bay view room for 2 nights for $171.00 a night, let's start by saying the hotel has no A/C, the hotel stinks like old dirty feet. Our room which has a bay view window the curtains have to be closed otherwise the room a/c can not cool the room. Our door keys quit working every time we used them. There was not enough plugins for all the appliances in the room for instance the alarm clock, a lamp, the coffee pot, microwave and fridge and only 1 outlet so you could only use 1 item at a time. With the way they take care of the hotel I was certainly not going in to the pool! Anyone can just walk into the hotel at anytime there is no door key locks on any of the outside doors. They told me their parking garage was secure because the had a security officer, we'll lets say we went to the Irish pub next door at about 6pm the security guard was sitting in the bar he was still sitting there when we left at 12:30am. The parking garage was all tore up. They told us our room was recently renovated, the only thing I seen that was replaced was the TV, we did not even have cable! I will NEVER go back, and from this day fourth I will encourage any I meet NOT to stay there.
Not much to look at but service very good. You seat yourself then your server brings you a menu. Got our drinks. Our food was good and seasoned well. I will be back Thanks.
This was the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in. I WILL NEVER stay here again. I thought that the price was reasonable so I booked it. The pictures online DO NOT accurately depict what you get. I was with a group of 12 and everyone had a horrible experience. The rooms were filthy. There was rust, mold, and dust within clear view. I couldn't walk barefoot in my room because the carpets were so disgusting. Six of us ended up very ill after our stay there. We thought the nightmare was over after we returned home, but 6 days after we left The Bayfront Inn, we were slammed with a $1800 charge on what was supposed to be $350. This hotel was vile and they are crooks. Stay away.
If I could I wouldn't even give it any stars. The worse hotel ever! Don't stay here. We upgraded from their standard room to their new and improve room but it was still nasty. I mean nasty mold in the bathroom and smell that I cannot explain. We stuck it out for a night but left and paid for other hotel; there are no refunds. The poor staff had to deal with a lot of people complaining about the condition of the room and the bugs including bed bugs. Just awful. Some of the staff looked embarrassed to work there. Please don’t waste your money.
All the reviews about this place are true. PLEASE DO NOT STAY there especially with your children. They gave me the wrong room number and the master key to the whole hotel complex! So I went to the room and got settled in and I hear someone trying to get in the room so I looked outside and told the lady you have the wrong room. Soon the owner I was assuming came and gave me the third degree about how I was not supposed to be there and such. I told him this is the key you all gave me which was a regular key attached to a key chain. I told him I want to go to the room I reserved so he took me over to the other room he says its better here in this room we only give out this room to people who check in after midnight. The beds were dirty the room smelled like smoke (even though it was a non smoking room) and the shower curtain was moldy, they only gave me 2 towels, there where holes in the walls, the electric outlets were broken, the hotel was very outdated, furniture, tv. All the other hotels in the area where sold out now I know why. I paid $180 for the night. I had never seen anything like it I could not believe my eyes. The walls are paper thin I could hear the people come in and out all night and people partying down stairs. I didnt feel safe there especially with my child and who knows who could have came into my room with them giving out the master key to anyone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take my advice and do not stay there.
I went for a girls weekend in Corpus. To begin with check in is at 5. Seriously? Then we still had to wait nearly an hour after that to check in because they only had 1 dryer and they didnt have the towels ready. Who cares? Give us the room and we will get the towels later! The girl at the front desk was rude and sarcastic. Check in was a nightmare of chaos. The only plus, was an employee named Andrew. Even in the midst of all the chaos of mad and frustrated people, he remained polite and helpful. Come to find out that it was his first day! He behaved alot better than the other ones. Once we finally got into our room, it wasnt looking much better. It had a really musty smell to it. The pool was a milky green color! I was shocked to see kids swimming in it! Im certainly not that brave. All in all, if you have a ton of patience and you dont really care what your room looks like, this is the place for you. If you plan on spending any significant amount of time in your room. Then dont do it. Btw, the only reason they are recieving a good for service, is because of Andrew.
