I am in the middle of buying and selling my home and getting a new one and this place was the only dog friendly hotel and I would definitely recommend it to somebody especially if you have dogs…
I myself I'm going to give it a five-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐rating
going on being there on my second week and it feels like home Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was so nice and very clean. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

The staff was super rude they would get mad if you asked a simple question. The rooms were super dirty, like if they never clean. Mostly all staff members smelled like weed. I would not recommend at all!

I do not recommend this hotel, it is horrible and will be made known to as many people as I can reach. A lot of noise late at night, and not a care from the people that run it. Do not stay here. I will do everything I can to get this hotel under new management.

They is very respectful and most of all clean and nice motel rooms the staff is very helpful.

Beds are hard as rocks. The floor was more comfortable.

This hotel was transitioning to a new brand and seemed to be making improvements to its rooms. The bed was firm, but comfortable. Our room had a small balcony, which was nice for getting fresh air. The shower had great water pressure. The breakfast was outstanding! Real scrambled eggs, not powdered, biscuits & gravy, tortillas and cheese, along with the usual continental breakfast findings. The staff was also very friendly.

Spacious and clean rooms and friendly staff. Very nice location to relax with a neat pool and hot tub. Most importantly very pet friendly place to stay.

Much nicer than what I expected. The room was updated. It appeared to have several convenient amenities (business center, continental breakfast, workout room, laundry room). AC could have been stronger. Overall, exceeded my expectations.

This is my go to hotel when I come home for the weekends the staff is very friendly and makes sure your stay is enjoyable. Room is very clean and the beds are so so comfortable. They have frash coffee in the morning along with breakfast No complaints.

This hotel just puts on a front. It isn’t clean. Didn’t have any towels or linens. The bedding wasn’t clean. Doesn’t have a good bed. Stayed in a suite, the only thing that this hotel has that is good is a balcony that looks out on the lake. The dirty ness of the room wasn’t worth the view. The price is to high. Especially due to the lack of care that they put into taking care of the place. Would not recommend anyone going there. Don’t waste your money. Find another hotel!

Real cute when the front desk lady argues with you about how often you change the sheets at your own home. My home doesn't matter when i'm staying in this hotel I want my damn room cleaned up. PERIOD! And I sure don't need the "host" of this place to say anything except "I'm so sorry, we will make sure it's up to your standards tomorrow"… So we're clear, I was nice and polite when I called that front desk and there are ZERO reasons for the same respect not to be returned. 5/4/18 6:30pm.

I love there rooms. Stayed here 2 times and loved it. Always nice people working here. Rooms are big and always clean. Will definitely be staying here again.

I stay at this hotel every week for work and this morning I was woke up at 2am by what I researched to be is bed bugs I got one in a cup called front desk to have owner who lives in the building meet me I took a shower of course and got to front desk to find out the owner refuses to come down so therefore they lost a customer. Also come to find out they already know about the problem and have had several complaints and still have not resolved the problem.

This place has been a blessing for my family. After the house was destroyed by fire, my family was directed to America's best for temporary housing. They were so nice and assisted promptly. And have accommodated our family of 5 plus a dog. I will be sure to recommend them to friend and family. A special thanks to the receptionist and managers for your kindness.

This is a La Quinta that has been re-branded under new ownership. The ladies at the front desk are courteous and helpful. The hotel does allow pets. The hotel is close to the lake and there is ample parking. They serve breakfast in the morning. The room prices are fair. The rooms are clean but the hot water takes a long time to flow.

Great place to spend the night. Nice rooms. Very clean.

Amazing staff. Management went above and beyond to accommodate my family in an emergency situation. Very friendly. Rooms were spacious. Well lit parking lot. Breakfast was nice.

Due to unexpected circumstances I've had to stay for a month. The owner and staff have bent over backwards to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend staying here. Did I mention they accept pets?

Front desk was very helpful! And the room was clean and presentable. The breakfast was weak, but I'm glad they had something. I don't like hotels that have nothing for breakfast. I would recommend it and would use it again.

Decent place to stay. Breakfast is lacking, but coffee is good. Front door motion sensor was broken so had to pull doors open manually. Stayed two nights. Second time staying there and I will more than likely stay there again.

We have had to stay in 3 area motels while we had major work done to our house. LaQuinta was clean, comfortable, fair price and the staff was very friendly.

It was ok. Internet was lacking speed compared to advertised free high speed internet.

Rooms were clean, hot tub was nice. Nearby restaurants were great, especially Boondock's.

Lady at the front desk was extremely nice. The beds were pretty hard, but besides that it's a decent place to stay. Pretty nice movie theatre across the street and a good sea food restaurant in front.

Very poor customer service. Clerk seemed to be on her cell phone a lot. We also were not given the type of room we originally booked. When we got into our first room, it smelled horribly of moth balls. Then we discovered what looked like blood stains on the comforter. Also, the AC was not functioning properly AND the toilet was very loose. The clerk tried bringing us a new comforter (all crumpled up), but it was just as bad as the first. So they switched our room (still not to the one we'd booked). This one smelled better but once again there were stains on the comforter. The phone in this room was also missing buttons and there was trash behind furniture that never got cleaned from the previous visitors. Also, the toilet paper holder wouldn't shut so the paper kept falling off. During the night we lost power due to a bad thunder and lightning storm but fortunately it came back on 3 hours later. On our last night, after getting back to our room, we discovered that the maid didn't leave any toilet paper. I had to yell downstairs to the front desk to ask for some because we couldn't do it from the phone. The only reason I gave two stars are because thankfully the beds were comfortable.

I know there isn't many hotels in Gun Barrel, but if you can find another place to stay please do, The Wi-Fi is terrible, it does not stay connected and when it does, it sucks. The room we stayed in was dirty, the beds were terribly hard, most of the light fixtures didn't work. Housekeeping did not clean the room the next day, and after we got back from an event it was still dirty. The curtains were duct taped. The free breakfast was something out of a cheap gas station. Some of the staff was friendly, others were highly unprofessional and lacked social skills. If you can find another hotel, please do. As my expectations weren't that high because of the location, this wasn't the route to go.

Staff very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and the housekeepers clean the rooms well. This is NOT a 5 star hotel nor is it a 1or a dump. It is a good place to stay for a night or 2. The beds sleep well. It is in a nice location near plenty of eating places of all genres. The pool is nice and clean but NOT a big pool but it works if you need to escape the Texas heat. I would stay here again when in Gun Barrel City…

Hotel staff was friendly, rooms were cleans and had no issues.

This was my 2nd visit to this location, the 1st visit was great, not this time! I booked a suite and checked in no problems. When I got to the room I walked in and turned the light switch on at the door and… nothing! No lights came on, so I called to the front desk, the same girl that had checked me in answered and I explained the lights were not working. She says. Oh yeah, we sent someone to replace the light bulbs but that wasn't the problem we have to call an electrician because we have a wiring problem. I'm thinking to myself, why did this lady just tell me that the room she put me in has an electrical wiring problem? She then says "is that ok with you? " I asked how was I supposed to see in the dark? She replied the lamps work fine. And I'm sure at this point she can tell I'm aggravated so she says well we can "try" to offer you a discount. I just replied ok whatever and hung up. I should have hung up and called head quarters then like I planned on and relocated to the next town. But I decided to stay and not use the light switch and use the lamps because I would only be there at night. As I am unpacking I realized it's cold so I walk over to the thermostat and turn on the heat and… nothing again! I called back to the desk and a guy answered, I told him I needed someone to come get the heat working. He was polite and came up right then. He walks to the thermostat and proceeds to tell me that the problem is because I have it set at 68 and it's 66 degrees in the room.

People here are very helpful and nice. Beds are good. I like mine really soft but my husband and kids like theirs firm. Very clean and loved the view from our balcony. Best of all the rate was the lowest we found with such a nice place. Lower then comfort inn and suits.

This was one of the worst experiences I ever had at a hotel, to start off the walls are so paper thin you can hear a person sneeze in the next room, the night front desk person was never AT the desk the phone would ring and ring… we went to eat and brought back a doggie bag put it in the fridge to wake up the next morning to a horrible smell… the fridge doesn't work ruined all of our food… then we leave for the day and come back the housekeepers only gave us one clean towel and one clean wash cloth! there were 7 of us in that room! just an awful experience I would not recommend this place to any one. If like us coming in for the first weekend trades days in canton stay at another place… awful.

Nice hotel, clean rooms. They need more food on their continental breakfast than just cereal, oatmeal or waffles. Price of the room could be cheaper than $100 a night especially when someone stays there longer than 2 nights.
