My clients have been charged in full for a pre-paid holiday, in spite of hotel staff assuring us on several occasions that the hotel supplier would be charged and not our clients. Will, the General Manager, has been avoiding calls all day from our hotel partners. From reading other comments, I believe this is the norm.
12 hours later and we are still chasing a refund for a payment that should never have been taken.
I would not recommend booking this hotel.

The hotel staff was friendly, but I felt like the room was very mediocre. Our room felt dated and unclean (we found random hairs in our bed and bathroom). The room was super humid too, so the bed had that damp feeling. The location is good, it’s about a 15 to 20 minute drive to north Austin and close to food/shopping.

The good: Front desk was very cool. Changed my room with no problems. The Bad: Non-lobby floors are horrible. The hallways smell like old wet mildew-laced sheets mixed with a hint of Marlboro smoke. I had to get my room changed because the odor was too unbearable to sleep. The second room was only slightly better. The bathroom had a slight roach problem. We made sure to spend the least amount of time at the hotel. There is no way I would ever want to stay here again.

The cleaning staff was awesome. The rooms were nice. But not as great of a hotel as the others around it.

Dont stay! The General manager Will was no help at all double charged me and hotel made false promises! Also a worker of the hotel complained to me about black ants in the beds. Because she was a guest the night before with her family. They will RIP you off! 200$ for one nights stay! And no that was not a security deposit.

Stayed here while my Dad had open heart surgery. Paid $165 for the night and when we got in the room the TV didn't work. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone up, 30 min later I called the desk again and they said sorry we don't have anyone until tomorrow. I found that unexceptionable and they sent someone up. He fooled around and fixed it and told us it was unplugged, his attitude was that we put him out. We knew that not to be true because we checked that prior to calling them. In the morning went down for breakfast and was told that unless we were members breakfast was not free. I've never heard of such a thing, at that price you think they could afford some eggs. Will never go back. Such a bad experience for a stressful time we were going thru.

Very very bad experience at this location. AC did not work and found a large patch of human hair at the head of the fold out bed. Most disgusting experience I have ever experienced.

If I could give a 2.5 Star I would. There are pros and cons but more cons. The pros are there’s always parking, great location and the lobby area is always well clean and the staff in the lobby are super friendly. The con is the room cleaning service, don’t judge a book by its cover, the lobby looks so clean you can eat off the floor and smells clean. The rooms however, are not the greatest. We stayed 5 nights and two of the days we were there they did NOT clean the room until we had to ask. I’ve traveled a lot and frequent plenty of hotels. The Holiday Inn always seems to have this issue. Never have I had this problems with Hilton and Marriott brand hotels. Overall not terrible but definitely better out there.

Had an issue with booking online, my fault, but the front desk lady was fabulous and helping me with getting it squared away. The extra effort I always get from IHG hotels is always appreciated and why I stay 100% of the time with them!

I have stayed at this hotel for the past few years whenever I'm passing through, and I love it every time.

Nice hotel with an indoor swimming pool. A small gym with three cardio machines, free weights heavy enough for someone who does not do much gym but not so much for someone who wants to keep their form training with heavyweight. Light breakfast Nothing from another world simply fruit yogurt coffee scrambled egg and sausages with burgers and for someone who doesn't want to make heavy breakfast there are serials with milk and rich orange juice (I don't think it's natural it's too sweet) The elevator is Quite slow but considering that they are only 4 floors it does not take so long.

Sub standard holiday inn. Bed seemed clean with white whashable blankets. The staff breif but nice. The entire hotel smelled wierd. Carpets are dark and dingy. The furniture is showing it's age and the rooms are in need of a renovation. There is no hot tub despite the picture on the website.

Great location off of I35. It was close to the Premium Outlets and various eateries. Highly recommend this for staying in Round Rock!

Today, my 20 year old daughter made reservations at this hotel and, as required, she entered her date of birth in completing the online reservation. A confirmation email was sent to her and no mention was made of her age. (I have the email and can provide it as evidence. ) Fast forward to 11:30 p. M… she and her best friend arrive to check in their room and are informed by hotel employee, Jonas, that because they are not 21, they cannot check in. He did not offer to call another hotel to assist in finding other accommodations, nor did he consider that he was sending two young women out at almost midnight with no place to stay in the Austin area during the week of SXSW. Thankfully, I was 20 minutes down the road with my debate team and could come check them in. I spoke with Jonas as well ad the manager via telephone phone and receive no assistance. 300, 000 people are trafficked in Texas alone every year, yet this hotel chain failed to consider the danger of caring for its customers' safety. I shutter thinking what could have happened to these young women if they had been unable to reach me tonight and were left with nowhere to stay in a locale that is booked to the brim. At 20 and 18, my daughter and her friend are old enough to judge a UIL State Cross-Examination Debate Tournament, marry, buy homes, finance cars, designate themselves as organ donors and join the military, but they are not old enough to check in the Round Rock Holiday Inn Express? This is just bad policy.

Good price of rooms, very good Internet and good customer service.

I enjoyed my stay for the night I was there. Nice little Keurig coffee maker in the room was a nice touch. I thought about giving 3 stars for the pooling water as I showered. They need to fix that.

Great venue for company meetings. The conference room was perfect size for our 60 people that came.

Absolutely not. My husband and I are local but decided to take a ‘stay-cation’ for a few days for Valentine’s Day. The establishment is nice enough but they have charged my card an additional $400. We paid through Priceline and I have 2 additional transactions on my account from Holiday inn themselves. When I called them about the issue I got William on the phone and he was rude from the get. He said we smoked in the room so we were being charged a smoking fee and that the bathtub stopper was broken. We certainly didn’t smoke in the room, it’s I’m sure on camera every time we went to their outside designated smoking area. It’s as if they knew we were smokers and thought they could get away with charging us. When I asked what proof he had he said there was ash by the window. Also, false. The bathtub stopper? The NONEXISTENT one? When I went to take a bath I had to use a rag to stop the drain but didn’t think much of it, some hotels don’t even have a tub just a shower so I went about my business. Just to find out that my lack of bringing that to their attention made me subject to another $150 fee. When I asked for proof of that he said he didn’t need it. I told him I would be disputing the transactions on my account and he said ‘you won’t get your money back’. I’m appalled and sickened. We kept to ourselves, stayed quiet. Didn’t cause any problems and for this? I wish I had smoked in the room. At least I’d be getting my money worth. I’m contacting the bank today.

Booked through Hotwire as it was a last minute stay while I was in town for work. The drain in the tub was very slow, the decor was not updated, you couldn’t turn on the light in the bathroom without the fan coming in and I was woke up at 5am when they emptied the dumpsters outside. I have no idea if they have breakfast because I wasn’t informed about it when I checked in and when I left at 6:30am I didn’t see any food out. The hotel was quiet and clean however. It’s close to several eating options as well.

The hotel is very nice with updated amenities. The rooms are very spacious and the staff were all pleasant. The free breakfast was really nice but took an hour to receive.

Terrible place to stay at lady at counter seems like she doesn’t know what she is doing. We were just going to be in Austin one day didn’t even spend the night and got charged for two days would have been nice to know before we chose this location.

Stayed here for 4 days/3 nights in January 2017. The hotel is fresh and new, only about 5 months old. The rooms were very nice — included a mini fridge, microwave, a Keurig, large flat screen tv, desk, small sitting area with table, closet and drawers. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. The window had a nice black out shade for sleeping. The bathroom was well lit and the full length mirror was positioned well to use. I took advantage of the free breakfast each morning. They had a good selection of items including hot items (eggs, sausage, bacon, gravy, biscuits), cereals, ready to make pancakes, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juice. The woman in charge of the breakfast was very helpful and welcoming every morning. I did not use any of the other facilities at the property — business center, fitness room, pool, but all looked nice and well maintained. I had hoped that there was a hot tub, as I had read on one website that they had one, but they did not. The location of the hotel was perfect for my needs and it was easy on and off the highway. I would definitely stay here again.

There's plenty of parking and the place is really clean. It's a bit warm and the beds are quite firm. Wi-Fi is free. It's in a great area with a ton of cool places to eat and just a short drive to Austin. Breakfast isn't included but there is a mini restaurant you can buy food at.

Check in was super fast and easy. Staff was ready and anticipating our arrival. Staff was friendly and gave us great recommendations.

Location is convenient and quiet. Rooms are showing age and leak air from the AC units. Shower heads are sometimes all over the place. Service is great but restaurant is much worse than San Marcos Holiday Inn.

The location was easy in and easy out. The room was a large room. Had a phone in the bathroom always a guys dream! It was a great room for the price and would definitely stay again.

I always choose to stay here when visiting Austin. It's a great location with a friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are always impeccable and well maintained.

Overall decent stay. The shower was not without its issues. First the water was coming out the sides of the showerhead and then the drain was backing up and I didn't know if I was standing in a pool of my own filth or someone else's (Gross).

I booked with priceline, daily rate was really good for what you get, room was clean, internet is decent (4Mbps), HD channels, staff is very courteous, breakfast is good (scramble eggs, sausage, bread, juice, apples, etc). I recommend the place is you get a good deal.

If you want to have a nice event at this hotel with good service then this place is not for you. My family held an event at this holiday inn. It's not expensive to hold an event here, so if you're looking for an affordable venue this is a good place for that. The problem my family and I experienced was when we came to set up decorations for our event. We paid them to set up chairs, tables, linens, etc by the way. We were told that all the tables and linens, etc would be set up by 4pm and when we arrived at 4:15pm absolutely NOTHING was set up. The entire hall was the same from the previous event earlier that day. They did not have enough staff members to set up the hall in time, so my family and I began moving chairs (from the previous event that day), setting up tables, VACUUMING (the entire hall). We had one of the staff members helping with this and then the other staff members put the silverware on the tables. Then of course we did the decorations we had planned to do anyways. Our event was starting at 7pm and we needed to go home at 5:15pm to get ready. We basically did most of the setting up and left around 5:30pm — — — we had 6 family members including me so we miraculously did the set up and decorations in an hour and 15 minutes. Keep in mind, we live 30 minutes away so we got home around 6pm, got ready really fast, and then rushed back to the hotel. I was very disappointed with how the event coordinator at this hotel took care of this situation.

This hotel is beautiful. Well could be beautiful if they finished building it. The only reason I gave them a 1 is because of how blissfully I slept in the bed. And because there is no 0. My parents called to book a nice room and sure the room was nice but that was the only thing not really wrong with the hotel. Even though the room had no fridge or microwave. Could've been the room itself maybe but we were on the second floor. The person never once said anything over the phone about being under renovation. You can smell the paint fumes when you walk in. They were still building the pools! Never once they said this as we were setting it up. The breakfast lied, saying kids stay eat free 12 and under. A parent has to order there own breakfast before any kids can eat free. The way they are running this hotel is complicated and it annoys me very much. I will NOT be staying here ever again or at least not this one and maybe not any other Holiday Inns. Maybe they should open thier mouths and stop lieing.

The hotel is located next to the sport events center, so its just too convenient if that's what your in Round Rock for. It's also across the interstate from the outlet mall. The room was clean. The lobby had a bar with microbrew tap beer. The food was average/good. Service was excellent (in all areas). Due to the high volume of sport events and shopping, the hotel was pretty noisy. I wore earplugs and still heard people shuffling through on a Saturday night until 2 am, but once they got into their rooms, there was no more noise. I have to say the positives outweighed that one negative and I had a pretty nice time.

We had the pleasure of hosting our first annual youth programs development fundraiser at the Holiday Inn. Ms. Brown-Green, Catering Manager was more than accommodating. The staff for all shifts from the front desk to the kitchen were gracious and cooperative. Everyone went above and beyond our expectations. We were most especially pleased that full length white table cover linens along with fresh water and ice were included in our facility rental rate. I strongly encourage any organization or person planning an event in or around Austin, TX to contact Ms. Green and the staff of the Holiday Inn North, Round Rock, TX 78681. Thank you so much. When we checked in we walked into our room and that room had roaches. We had to ask to be moved to another room. They happily gave us another room. Other than that the room was nice but a little too small. The man at the front desk was nice and courteous.

Ever hear the saying 'don't judge a book by it's cover'? Well that's the case in regards to this hotel-it's new, it's nice on the outside and in the lobby when you enter, but I stayed there two nights ago, and was extremely disapppointed. After traveling 3 1/2 hours to get there, we just wanted to get in, relax, get in the hottub, and maybe have a drink at the bar. We got in the room and the pictures were missing from the walls which I thought was strange. I saw numerous gnats in the bathroom and apparently they were coming from the sink drain which was covered in mold. We decided to go to the pool/hottub area and the first thing I noticed was the used towel bin was overflowing onto the floor as if they hadn't picked them up in days, but it got much worse-there were bandaids, globs of toilet paper, chewed gum, and other garbage surrounding the pool. The water in the pool was way too hot for an indoor pool and sort of cloudy looking. The worst part was the hottub didn't even work! Neither looked like they were maintained. Later that night we decided to go get a drink at the bar which was WAY overpriced-$25 for two beers and two shots. You could of went and picked up a case at the Rudy's nearby for that price, which we should've.

Excellent prices for really nice and spacious rooms! Really polite staff, a nice bar inside with reasonable prices, and breakfast also is reasonably priced, for room service or in dining. The food is also really yummy! I really enjoyed my short stay, wish I could stay longer, but will be coming back again.
