Great time at the Inn! The staff was more than accommodating and helpful. Will stay here again!

We loved this charming hotel. The beds were comfortable and the grounds were so nice. We enjoyed sitting down by the river in the evening. We definitely plan to go back!

We cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place! Owner/Chef Pam and her staff go above and beyond to provide an incredible experience start to finish. The customer service is top notch. The restaurant is beautiful, extremely clean, intimate and right on the Paluxy river. The views from inside as well as the patio are so stunning! Full bar and sensational menu. Then there’s the food. The FOOD y’all! Soooo gooood! We had the carmelized onion dip and chips for an appetizer and were basically licking the bowl clean. The pistachio pesto and smoked corn and chicken salad were unlike anything we’d had before. The combination of flavors were spot on. Then we enjoyed the ahi tuna and peach glazed salmon with broccolini and whipped potatoes. I’m literally salivating at remembering these dishes. They were perfectly cooked, portioned, so delicious and gorgeously presented. The chocolate cake and peanut butter cheesecake… words can’t even describe. We were celebrating our anniversary and they really went the extra mile at making it so special for us. We cannot wait to come back and bring the kids too! The green space next to Snyder’s is absolutely perfect for kids to run and play and their kids menu is amazing! Family friendly fine dining. They even have an event space too! Whether you are staying at the Inn or just popping in for a meal this place is a MUST do in Glen Rose! Thank you Snyder’s Tavern for such a fabulous experience.

What a quaint, historical and romantic get-a-way. Pam and her staff were amazing. From splashing around in the river, the drinks at the full bar, the lovely dinner, and the peaceful full nights rest…we had an amazing time!

Rooms need renovated for sure. I think they are having financial issues. Dinner was fantastic, but breakfast was not. They seemed to be out of alot of things. Liquor, creamer. Our mushroom omelet had nothing in but mushroom, not even any cheese. Lots of room for improvement. Will not be returning.

We had dinner on the patio and our meals were seasoned well and so very tasty. Very good live music tonight, too.

The food and drinks are always delicious at Snyder's Tavern. We were showing off the venue where we will be getting married to the best man this weekend. He loved it as much as we do. I think he was happiest most over his bacon swiss grilled cheese. I totally forgot to take food shots but it was all so perfect. My kids love coming here.

We just went to kayak but the staff was wonderful and we had such a great time.

This is the cutest place! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday to have dinner. Due to the covid closures I called to make sure the restaurant was open. The incredibly friendly owner said she would open the kitchen for just us since I had called a couple days in advance! She asked what kind of main dish and dessert we liked so they could plan a meal for us. When we arrived on his birthday, she sat us inside the open concept dining room with views of the beautiful trees and river. They planned a 3 course meal with salad (delicious homemade balsamic dressing), steak with mashed potatoes, and a dessert to die for (pistachio ice cream)!
We had ordered a bottle of wine with our meal. When we were finished she let us know we were welcome to sit outside in some of the chairs placed down by the river! Overall the food was delicious, owner beyond welcoming, and relaxing quaint scenery to enjoy! If you get the chance to visit this place it is a must! Thank you so much for the remarkable night! We can’t wait to visit again!

We had the “curbside pickup” bourbon pecan chicken, potatoes and salad last night and it was wonderful! Easy process, great price and fabulous food. Looking forward to trying another meal soon!

Pam and her staff were very accommodating! My daughter and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. The was breakfast amazing and loved that it was animal friendly. The organic Cotten sheets and feather topper was so comfy!

We booked a family get together with 12 of us (to get away from Dallas) the weekend before Christmas, and it was perfect! We had a lot of space, great food and comfortable beds! We will definitely be back in the summer when we can enjoy the river more. Such a peaceful location and kind owner!

We want to thank Pam and Ryman for their hospitality and making our stay, at the Inn On The River, special. My husband and I had the privilege of staying in this lovely place for our anniversary. Pam, the talented, lady that runs the Inn, truly made us feel welcome. We recommend this inn, if you are looking for a place to get away and reconnect with what is important the ones you love.

This was by far the most romantic getaway for my wife and I. We had such a great time. Michael and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and readily available to accommodate any need we desired. We will be back often and I would strongly recommend this for anyone looking to get away for while.

One of the most relaxing stays I have had in a while! Everything is gorgeous, service was top notch and the gourmet breakfast was divine! We loved sitting and visiting out by the river, walking to the square for lots of Great Shopping, great Lunch at Storybook, great Wine at Bull Lion Wine Bar and a Yummy Dinner at Riverside Grill!
We didnt want to leave and I will definitely be back ASAP!

What a wonderful Place. It is just beautiful and in s perfect location. The rooms and the grounds are beautiful. The owners Mike & Lori are so nice and very accommodating. The breakfast is cooked by a chef and wonderful. I highly recommend this place and plan to always stay there.

We had a wonderful 1 year anniversary here. Just beautiful. At 1st we were concerned about no TV, but we didn't miss it at all. Spent time at the pool just visiting with other people. Lots of board games, croquet, bean bag toss. Take the time to sit by the river and just enjoy not using your phone.

Stayed at Inn on the River for 2 days for a work retreat. The serene setting allowed our team to tackle some very challenging work. Mike and his team provide premiere customer service. Be sure to bring your appetite.

Mike and Lori are great. We had a great time and the meals are outstanding! We can't wait to go back. In the Game of Life this is a must for everyone looking to relax and enjoy one of the best towns in Texas. You miss out if you don't stay here.

My husband and I booked a last minute New Years Eve weekend get away… we just so happened to luck upon the last room at The Inn. Honestly… before arriving we were a little nervous to what it would be like as we had never been before and we were booking the room in blind faith with a hope and a prayer.
It was wonderful!
Very clean and nice rooms.
The grounds were gorgeous with beautiful trees that were hundreds of years old. A nice outside fire pit overlooking the river. The food was delicious… they personally serve you a nice, warm, homemade breakfast as opposed to a muffin, fruit and coffee bar that a lot of places offer.
The owners were super friendly people that went above and beyond to make your stay special and as comfortable as possible.
As we pulled out of the drive to make our way home … we both said we wanted to make this an annual getaway!
We will be back… thank you for a much needed weekend. Looking forward to many more.

Spectacular place! We loved it. Beautiful old place (has a Texas Historical Marker) that is beautifully furnished. The gourmet breakfast was amazing. Wonderful host. This is the best B&B I have experienced in years.

We spent the weekend at this lovely place for our 30th anniversary. It is so peaceful and quiet, a place to relax and unwind. The room was beautiful, and the surroundings even more beautiful. I highly recommend this gem on the river.

Great place. Bed and Breakfast with a dash of hotel and very attentive staff/owners. The breakfast is really good and the rooms are also very nice. Lot of history in the place and photos to look at. Easy access to the river if you want to get in and they also have a swimming pool.

The restaurant at Inn on the River is a real find. It's the only real "Date Night" restaurant in Glen Rose with white table clothes and flowers on the tables.
Chef Lupe is inspired. Last night we had, as an appetizer, shrimp with home made Thousand Island Sauce. It sounded "ok" at best. But it was incredible. The shrimp were grilled perfectly, and the sauce? That wasn't like an thousand island sauce I've had (except perhaps the color). It was so good that we asked for an extra bowl of it to dip our bread (homemade) into.
And her Apricot Empenadas are worth a trip.
Even if you're not visiting Glen Rose, if you're anywhere in the area — it's worth trying to get reservations for Friday or Saturday night. It's the best meal in the area.

It's Great food… a little pricey though. Haven't stayed there since new ownership.

My wife and I wanted a quite and comfy little get-away for our 32nd anniversary weekend and a place to go motorcycle riding and I couldn't be more happy with this choice! This hotel is a nice blissful nostalgic piece of history and well cared for. Beautiful scenery and like a step into the past. It is a historical Texas landmark and was founded early 20th century as a health sanitarium for restful healing along the tranquil Paluxy river. With the fabulous gourmet breakfasts and 'reservation only' gourmet dinners, and original small size rooms appointed nicely and the very nice and friendly staff, I couldn't ask for more. This is not a modern style hotel with great spacious rooms and TV's, so it's not for everyone… but rather a great place of historical memories of life gone by and a great place to relax outside your rooms in comfortable shared spaces in elegant beauty. I will definitely be back to get away from the city life of DFW for occasional refreshment. (plus it's beautiful countryside to ride your motorcycles! )

I don’t even know where to begin this review other than by saying that Mike and Lori at the Inn on the River helped make our wedding absolutely perfect! The Inn itself was a great setting for the wedding; we had the ceremony in their huge party tent under the amazing ‘Singing Trees’ with the river as the backdrop. Then we moved into their conference center for dinner and reception and everyone had an absolute blast. All of our guests got to stay on site which was another definite perk. But all of that pales in comparison to Mike, Lori, and the rest of the staff at the Inn. From start to finish they did everything in their power to make our day perfect. They really took it upon themselves to go above and beyond. Lupe, the chef, blew us out of the water with the meal she prepared for us all (seriously go just have dinner there, it’s worth the trip). All of the wait staff and grounds staff were as nice as can be and did a fantastic job all weekend to make all of us feel completely welcome. We’re already looking forward to another trip down to Glen Rose to see Mike and Lori and can’t thank them enough for helping us plan the perfect wedding weekend.

I stayed at the Inn on the River in Glen Rose, TX in March 2017 for my brother's wedding. Our families and friends rented out the entire inn, and it was a fabulous spot for an intimate wedding weekend. The owners, Mike and Lori, were easy to communicate with and incredibly helpful. My brother constantly talked about how easy the whole planning process was (they didn't use a wedding planner) because of Mike and Lori's knowledge and efforts. They even helped organize a babysitter for my baby during the wedding reception! The scenery and buildings are gorgeous and there were multiple possible spots for the actual ceremony and reception, depending on weather. They had the wedding ceremony outside under huge oak trees (using a large white tent as well), and the reception was in a conference room in a building separate from the hotel itself. We all played lawn games on the well-kept back lawn, and enjoyed walking around the property. The Adirondack chairs set up overlooking the river were a favorite among many of us! The rooms were pretty and clean, as was the entire hotel. The food was delicious and all of the staff were attentive. The hotel is in a great location on one of the "main" streets in Glen Rose, easy walking distance from boutiques and restaurants. I would definitely stay at the inn again in the future and will highly recommend it to my friends who might be in the area! Mike and Lori have created a peaceful, beautiful oasis in Glen Rose.

This place is absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend for anyone who is wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are plenty of things to do around the town as well and then it feels like you are coming home at night. Delicious breakfast and a lovely gourmet dinner make this B&B the best! I can not compliment the owners enough! They are wonderful people that make you feel special every time!
