Review of Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Floresville, an IHG Hotel 2*

Worst HI Express that I have ever stayed at. The breakfast hostess had a horrible cough that sounded like the flu but she continued to serve, the plastic ware is all put in the receptacles with the mouth side up so your fork, spoon and knife has been touched on the mouth portion by every guest that eats with them and I believe that this is a health code violation. The housekeeping staff was late everyday to clean rooms (most days after 5pm). I had to talk to them 3 times (01/22-24) to not let the door slam against the room security lock as it woke me twice and caused a loud disturbance as I was on the phone on a business call once. The last time I asked them to stop (01/24) the housekeeper responded with a very rude "hmm" after I asked her to please stop. Rudeness does not fly well with me and is absolutely unnecessary when people are trying to rest or work late in the day. Other problems experienced were: -Internet not working one day but crammed and slow most afternoons. -Breakfast is horrible but I don't have high expectations anyhow. -Carpet was dirty when I checked in. -One night there was a major disturbance upstairs that woke me but one in my company called and complained and he said it continued for at least an hour afterwards. -Water tastes terrible, need a softener or filter for the coffee and such. -Pillows too soft or too firm and a dip in the middle of the bed. Good points: -Desk staff was very professional -Place smelled good -Close to everything you need.
