Reviews of Hilton Dallas-Park Cities 4*
The carpet is nasty. Our comforter on the bed was dirty. We waited 30 mins for help to get the AIR ON. Let me. Remind you it's 100 degrees outside. My husband had to walk down stairs. The room are very outdated. For the same price ther eis much better hotels!
Great location, great people, wish the restaurant was open on Sundays:)
The property is nice but the valet service is terrible. We were in town for a HUGE Volleyball tournament last weekend. They had ONE POOR VALET guy trying to service at least 15 people at one point. I felt sorry for him. I cannot believe management would not staff more drivers for an event of this size or at least step in and help the guy when needed. I finally suggested on one morning that we all just take our own keys and get our own cars so we would not be late to the Convention Center for our games! VERY POOR PLANNING ON MANAGEMENTS PART! The restaurant also only had ONE SERVER Attending to at least 20 people. We had to wait 15 minutes before even being ACKNOWLEDGED. I can’t imagine why they would not plan ahead for an event that sold out their hotel!
Our home when we come to Dallas. always a pleasant stay. Staff is very accommodating, location is prime.
Room was large enough for 3 females.
Great location, staff is super helpful.
I love everything about this hotel! I was impressed by the cleanliness and I slept comfortably — best sleep I’ve had in a long time.
I booked two double queen rooms and they said they could only do a king with a rolling bed, this would not work for us. The check in girl had to go clean them for us and it was her first day. When we arrived that night the rooms had not been cleaned. Also they were outdated and there was no microwave. Don't recommend and won't be staying there again.
Upon checking in, the receptionist, Holly, interrupted our check in to assist another guest. When we got to our room it was dirty. It had dust and a previous guest’s card holder in it. We were told we would have the best view, which was a brick wall. The restaurant, bar and room service were supposed to be open, but they weren’t. When we checked out the receptionist argued with us about our complaints.
Even in the Pandemic they go above and beyond! I had a screw fall out of my reading glasses and I asked the front desk if they happened to have an eyeglass repair kit? … and they did! Not only did they have the kit, but they repaired it for me! They were incredible! Thank you Gang!
Very clean, great service.
Great location close to Love Field. Very accommodating staff. Good food!
Recently renovated. Great ambiance. Modern Western decore… great staff. Wonderful location.
Beautiful boutique hotel! Very personalized service & attentive staff. Delicious food in the restaurant & great restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Highly recommend when visiting Dallas!
Subtle attractive hotel in a convenient location. Rooms are spacious and the staff is courteous, helpful and provide great customer service with a smile. The restaurant/bar is cozy and inviting. The blue crab mac and cheese is delectable!
Restaurant captains for breakfast run poorly train the wait staff. Service is good, when you can get it.
Very nice hotel… rooftop pool deck!
Great team at this Hilton property. Great corporate meeting and event space. Great Chef on property!
Very disappointing on first impression. Booked a king bed, all sold out, had to get double bed, connecting room door would not lock, maintenance asked what I was doing that I did not want any one in my room, no Wi-Fi, no restaurant, overpriced breakfast, construction work in room next door all afternoon, water turned off from 10:00 to 3:00, gym closed. This is only day one. I can’t wait to see what else I have to deal with for the next three nights.
Beautiful Hotel. Construction didn't hinder too much. Nice room and great staff.
I will definitely stay here again. However, if I attend another conference here, I hope it is after the renovation, so I can have access to the gym. No gym is always tough for me.
The Dallas Park Cities Hilton is a classic example of a chain retrofit in an old building. While the finishes are relatively new, the old underlying bones of the building are still there. Weird intermittent noises from the HVAC equipment, old elevators, varying water pressure; that sort of thing. They only have valet parking, or so you will be told even though there is a parking garage in the building with access directly from the lobby. The pool, fitness center, and lobby restaurant were under construction during my stay, with jack-hammering in the lobby starting at 7:30AM. Stayed for two nights on business, and they overcharged me for the room rate upon check out. While the helpful front desk staff fixed this issue, the fact that it happened in the first place added to a less than enjoyable experience at this hotel.
I didn't stay overnight but attended a bachelorette party there and we had a blast. There were several rooms rented and all were very nice. We ate in the bar area. The food was good.
Great place loved Lamonika at Starbucks. Also loved Pedro who broke into my safe and rescued my laptop, he was well trained and made me aware of Hilton’s brand promise, thank you Hilton for letting me meet these great people. Sarah at the front desk is an exceptional manager made me feel welcomed and has a great smile.
Wow is all I can say. The people at this hotel in a hidden place are all extraordinary. From the fron desk to valet we have nice people. The restaurant staff need some help in wooing people. The rooms are ok, the pool is on the roof and it’s cozy. The maintenance people are friendly and thanked us and made us aware of the brand standard, what other hotel maintenance staff does that? You have to valet but it’s understandable. The area has great places to eat at since the food at the restaurant is nothing to write home about, I have eaten better TV dinners then what they served us. I do love this hotel compared to any other hotel in the area.
Nice hotel, great atmosphere, and location. Great selection of restaurants within walking distance. That said, the executive lounge was quite disappointing. It was little more than a small room across from the elevators on the 10th floor. On the plus side they had an “executive lounge”, but there is little effort put into it. Breakfast in the lounge was weak as well, had to beg for a glass of milk. The other odd thing is the shower curtain bar is a bit high, and it can be a challenging making sure it stays on the inside of the tub to avoid flooding the floor with water. It’s workable, but shows a lack of attention to detail Staff is pleasant and helpful, no complaints there. A good option not far from the airport, but there is room for improvement.
Very nice hotel, not many activities in the neighborhood for those who cannot talk distance beyond 1-2 blocks.
Most things were good. The faucet was difficult to shut off and just spun around and around. The temp in the shower fluctuated wildly from scorching to cold and back again even if you left the controls alone. The room was cool and although you could turn up the thermostat it never would warm up so I had to use the crazy shower on pure hot to warm up the room. Other than those issues it was fine.
Its a very clasic style hotel. Expect Quick response to any issue and a price according the quality of the hotel.
Amazing staff, hospitality and atmosphere! I stay here for business and each time is fantastic.
It's suitable for business a little far from downtown.
Nice hotel. I would opt for a better location with better restaurants and bars near by next time in Dallas.
The Hilton did a great job hosting my friends and family that came in town for my brother's wedding this weekend. The rooms were clean and well furnished. The bar was spacious and comfortable. And the staff was very accommodating and thoughtful. I was impressed by some of the steps they took to go above and beyond to make the weekend special for my brother and my family. Thanks!
Was there for the bar. Great drinks and a great bartender. Not my first time. Nice little get away from the crazier bars in dallas.
Pretty place. Too many problems with housekeeping staff and wait staff in the restaurant. Every day there was a problem. Hilton should not allow this kind of problem.
The hotel was nice however the TV in our room did not work well. It kept losing picture and audio.
Beautiful hotel! GM is very friendly and passionate about his hotel.
This is the worst hotel ever. Terrible security. I had people using their key to get in my 2 rooms multiple times, even after I got new keys. I checked out on Sunday and they are still charging my card with other people charges. I've brought it to their attention and they say it's fixed but on Wednesday I am still seeing charges that are not mine. I just called again and the desk transferred me to Accounting at 7:00 pm. Obviously, they are not there. I'm shocked at the poor level of client experience and it persists.
My wife and I have a first anniversary today and we originally checked into the Sheraton across the highway and was beyond disappointed! We canceled our reservation and went to the Hilton last moment and was greeted by Tamera, we explained our situation and she worked hard to make sure we got taken care of! Tamera teamed up with Jamie and found us a Suite for my wife and I! Couldn’t be more blessed, now our anniversary wasn’t a disaster Tamera and Jamie made our anniversary 10x better. Thank you so much!
Absolutely beautiful hotel and customer service went above and beyond for us! It's my husband and I's first wedding anniversary and we checked into an other hotel and it was absolutely horrible. We canceled and drove around and found the Hilton and explained what happened and they not only gave us a room, but upgraded us to a suit. Thank y'all so much for making our first anniversary special.
Our organization recently hosted a meeting for our outside customers at the Hilton Dallas/Park Cities. I have quite a bit of experience in event planning and working with offsite locations; and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and attention that I received from all members at the Hilton Dallas/Park Cities. Their service soared high above other venues! I highly recommend using the Hilton Dallas/Park Cities for your next event.
Fantastic customer service in the rooms were phenomenal. I love the upstairs lounge and enjoyed a beer and a game there while working.
Great service from staff! Had an emergency requiring me to leave the hotel & I left all my items at the hotel, they packed up everything for me & had it in the lobby when I returned days later to pick up!
Facilities were fantastic. Very nice place to hold a meeting. Staff was hospitable and courteous.
The Hilton staff was wonderful as always. Even though an Executive Room was not available on the proper floor, they made up for it with several extras I wasn't expecting. And the bar staff was great. Bravo!
Had a group of people stay here for a weekend. The room was what you'd expect from a Hilton; clean and comfortable. Location left something to be desired but it's mostly a non-issue because of the ease of access to main roadways (i. E. North Tollway and Northwest Highway) that can easily take you to places like North Park Mall or Uptown. On the whole, service was good; a situation arose that should have been handled better by the staff but it was remedied the next morning. The hotel itself seems to be popular with University Park/Highland Park locals and was very quiet during our stay. Overall, the Hilton Dallas/Park Cities is a good hotel that is well appointed and comfortable.
My stay was so so, I likely won't be back. Rooms had a wet carpet smell, similar to mold. When I asked to move to another room the woman at the front desk was very accommodating and moved me right away. The second room had a little bit of the moldy smell as well but it was tolerable. The smells seeks to be coming from the air vents. The front desk was pleasant but didn't go over and beyond for much of anything. Location wise it's convenient for walking to and fro in downtown Dallas. I was honestly expecting more from the Hilton.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around… This is the nicest, quietest hotel I've stayed at in a long time. It was sold out, and I rarely ever saw or heard anyone else. The rooms are beautiful and exactly as pictured on their website. The hotel grounds are gorgeous with lakes, ducks, trails, and flowers. I also felt very safe there; when I arrived late one evening, a security guard watched as I made my way into the hotel. I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed the spa, fitness center, whirlpool, and pool. The halls even smell amazing! I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Upon arrival, the hotel had 50+ kids running throughout the lobby. A bar mitzvah was being held in the ballroom and was completely out of control. The kids were running up and down the elevator, halls, lobby, & BAR! Two out of three in our group were literally run down by children in the lobby while leaving the restroom. The restaurant Grain was closed due to an earlier event, but the website never mentioned it. The bar was so loud due to its proximity to the ballroom, that the server had to put his face next to yours to hear our order. To make matters worse, the beds had permanent valleys in center of mattress. The noise from the children running did not cease till well after 11pm. This hotel had no control of the event nor its guests. We were compensated only $50 off our stay which is insulting! This maybe an affluent area, but not worth the abuse!
Had a one night stay here while on a recent business trip. Easily the largest room I have stayed in while in TX. Very good service. Very good room quality (comfort and cleanliness). Very good location as it is a short walk (albeit down a steep hill) to the financial district. I will be staying here regularly for these visits going forward.
Really nice hotel. We were using it for their conference rooms to work with my team before a project pitch. The staff was very attentive and made sure we were fully cared for.
It's been several years since I was last at the Park Cities Hilton. The lobby and ballroom are nicely spruced up since I last attended. Parking for this event was also gratis which was a nice perk.
I paid extra to stay on the executive floor as part of a wedding party. My room was not ready until over an hour after check in time. The woman at the desk who told me my room was not ready and that she did not know when it would be ready was flat out rude. I did not receive new towels after housekeeping had cleaned the room. There was no sense of urgency to fix any problems, including a broken toilet handle which then required manually flushing the toilet by pulling the chain inside the toilet. All of the above caused more unneeded stress during an already stressful event. I will not stay at a Hilton again.
Comfortable, great location. Recommend.
For a hotel of this price, location, and class, it was disappointing in so many ways. I stayed here while on a business trip, and I found that while the lobby, restaurant and public areas were quite nice with good quality and pleasing service, the rooms were far less comfortable than you would expect. For one thing, the furnishings were quite sparse, almost austere in the rooms. But the worst part was the noise. I could have been sleeping in the hallway judging by the volume of noise that came into the room — I could hear every word of every conversation that took place between people in the hallway, every entrance in and out of rooms, and even babies and children crying/laughing/yelling from a nearby room. Needless to say, that prevented me from sleeping until everyone else in the hotel had quieted down, which was past midnight. Less than satisfying for a night's sleep when on a busy and early morning schedule. In addition, there was a large amount of dust and trash (some old tags or something) under the bed, when they changed the linens on the second day there was a large dark stain on the new linen, and the water was extremely hot and hard to regulate in the bathroom. The beds were really not all that comfortable either, and the pillows were very uncomfortable. I've stayed in budget hotels that offered a better night's sleep than this place.
Holiday party was hosted here. Staff was very friendly. Beautiful place! Excellent experience.
Christmas party. Beautiful hotel, friendly and attentive staff. Amazing experience.
Pros; Rooms, Location, Grain Restaurant, Overall Atmosphere, Hotel Service, Banquet Furnishings Cons; Banquet Food, Banquet Service, Mandatory Valet First off, the hotel was beautiful. The hotel and location were the main selling points for my wife and I for our wedding reception venue and for our guests who booked rooms. Ann, the coordinator, was also a great selling point, very attentive and friendly even during our misunderstandings at the beginning with the weekend room rates. The guests were really impressed by the overall atmosphere and details. The fireplace and bar area became the intentional backdrop for a lot of the guests' photos. Our room was perfect and the chocolate strawberries were a nice touch. The reception furnishings and decor were perfect. During the reception a few issues came up, but were promptly fixed. However, the room would get very hot during dancing and many guests complained about it and stayed in the lounge area. Breakfast buffet was delicious, the lunches and dinners we shared with family and friends at the Grain were delicious.
When I booked my room I had not known that this hotel forbids concealed handgun licensees from carrying sidearms into the hotel. The hotel management has posted a sign at the entrances of the hotel with the required language from Texas Penal Code § 30.06. So they have decided that their hotel should be a "gun-free zone" or what I call "victim-disarmament zone. " It's their hotel, and since I respect private property right, I think it proper that property owners have the freedom to include or exclude anyone from their property for any reason, or for no reason. Likewise I have the free to take my business elsewhere, which is what I will do the next time that I visit Dallas.
