Not a good stay at this IHG hotel. Dirty dishes in the drawer. Filthy floors. Had to ask for broom to sweep floor. The lady brought the room and stared she was not housekeeper. I swept floor myself. Asked for vacuum and the front desk lady did vacuum floor and stated it was dirty by listening to everything running through the vacuum. Checked out and never could get a cart. Had to make 4 trips to pack the vehicle. Not once did I ever see someone using a cart. They had 2 when we checked in.
Talked to manager when checking out and was basically called a liar about the filth because she had no proof.

One of the friendly place I have stayed at Rosemary help me check and was very kind and funny. Made my check in experience very easy. Also the room are amazing and very clean. They are also Trucker friendly plenty of room in a big dirt parking lot and I will definitely stay at this location each time I come down here.

Nice clean rooms. Rooms have a kitchenette. So dont expect breakfast. I do like that you can borrow certain items, like a slow cooker, movies and such. Has two elevators, so no long waiting time.

I stayed more of 1.5 years in this hotel, service is great, every Wednesday Idalia (Manager) prepare a Manager Special Meal for guest, room cleaned every day I missed the pillows.

My company paid for me the stay here for one week. They have no complimentary breakfast the coffee was cold and the room was not as clean it is it could be the staff is unfriendly they only offer cookies for breakfast because they say they have a full kitchen set up. I didn't have any cooking oil and assar they had any cooking oil and they do not have any for purchase you would think that they would have the basics available for their guest but they don't the parking is horrible the slots are too small and one of the work trucks hit my car.

We came in to stay for the Wild Hog Cook-off. The hotel is very clean, has a great layout, and the beds are very comfortable. We had an amazing sleep here! The kitchen comes stocked with dishes, popcorn, coffee and even an ice maker in the fridge! If you plan to come for business, there is a great desk layout as well. While the bathroom was very clean, it smelled very strongly of smoke (possibly from a previous guest). I'd definitely stay here again though!

It is very nice. They keep it pretty clean considering they have a few oil field companies staying there. The rooms are nice clean and the staff is friendly. Kid and pet friendly place as well.

It was as good of an experience as hurricane Harvey evacuation could be probably.

It's very clean unlike the one in Kenedy where they clean your room every three days.

I evacuated to this hotel when Harvey hit as I’m from Port Aransas. As an employee of another hotel I used my employee rate to get this room. I specifically chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and had the lowest pet deposit, $25 if your stay is 1-6 days, and $50 if your stay goes over 7 days (that’s on their website) but upon arriving the Thursday before Harvey, after packing what I could and praying the rest didn’t get blown away, I was told their site was inaccurate and that it was $25 for small dogs (quantified as a dog you could carry through the lobby) and anything larger was considered a large dog and that would be $50 PLUS a $25 incidental hold. Now, I originally only made my reservation 3 days, but due to the damages my island town received I made another reservation for three more nights. Everything was decent for the most part, save the housekeepers walking around in spaghetti strap tank tops and leggings, a front desk agent that would excuse herself to go eat when there are guests at the counter. After we left, it turns out my sister left something hanging in the closest. I faxed over a shipping label after talking to the desk and finding out they had found my left items. The next night I called to make sure someone had seen it and to also talk about refunding the pet deposit. I wouldn’t have asked, but since I am an employee of an IHG property, like this one, I was able to see where IHG told all of their hotels to waive pet deposits due to the hurricanes.

We had a nice room, we're able to bring our cat too.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, it's very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly, I loved talking to the lady at the front desk she's amazing and funny and the best part about this hotel, is that I got to bring my English bulldog! I'll definitely come back thank you again Candlewood staff keep up the good work!

Decent place but could be cleaner.

The staff is by far the best I've been around. I have been to many different hotels across the country. I have stayed here many times over the past few months and every time the experience is great. The staff really do go above and beyond to make this Hotel the best. I made a bone head move and left my Yeti Cup during my last stay. When I returned for this stay I approached the front desk and said "this is a long shot" and asked if my cup had been turned in. They couldn't f…ind it at the time, but they were busy. I received a call this morning asking me to come to the front desk. I get down there and there it is… My Yeti. Big thanks to the staff! So I'm sitting here waiting on Pizza Hut to open so I can treat them all to lunch. Not just because I got my Yeti back, but because this is an Oilfield town they have to put up with a lot dealing with us Oilfield Hands, and they do it with smiles and the will to help out when ever they can. Thanks Candlewood Cotulla, Texas!

Very friendly staff! Stayed for a couple weeks and they made it feel like home! I will definitely be recommending this location to everyone I know and be coming back again!
