Low-end hotel with high-end name. I was waiting on the front desk behind a large military group for over 20 minutes. Management seemed to come out and just stand around useless. Nobody apologized for the inconvenience, no one said "I'll be right with y'all, " "Thank you for your patience, " nothing. I believe the GM came out, stared blankly at the screen, looked at all the guests waiting (about 15), then just walked to the back without a word to front desk agents or waiting guests. Most reputable hotels at least apologize, offer waters or coffee, or offer to take luggage, something. There was also an older woman from sales speaking with the bellman and military guys. She was rude to the bellman and guests and seemed like everyone was wasting her time. It definitely was interesting to watch while waiting in line. If you're looking for a hotel worth the price or with competent, hospitable management, go elsewhere.

Courteous front desk very helpful! Very convenient location. Breakfast was awesome! Beds are very comfortable! Would recommend!

Absolutely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff was extremely unhelpful in maintaining a relaxing and peaceful environment. Their security allowed children to run up and down hallways screaming and slamming doors until midnight. The pool was complete chaos. It was obvious they have no security plans or measures in place to deal with a full hotel. The rooms were super old and dated. It’s apparent they are trying to renovate, but it’s really just a mess everywhere. This is the second poor experience I’ve had with Crowne Plaza hotels and I won’t be staying at a third.

A great hotel in the heart of silicon Valley. A perfect spot to stay at while visiting the biggest tech companies in the world. If you have your family in tow the hotel provides enough to keep them busy while you work. A shopping mall close by ensures that you can pickup gifts or essentials as needed.

The room was good, but the hotel itself was under renovations. With all the construction going on they should ha e just shut down till renovations were done. Just too much needed to be done while guests were staying for the weekend.

Disappointing. Been watching it go down hill for several years now. Gets crummier and crummier each time. They keep saying improving, etc. But I am waiting to see something. Anything! Maybe it will be nice once its done. But till then, I may stay somewhere else. And I am Spire Elite status, and saying this. That hurts!

Expectations were not as advertised. The hotel is currently under construction. Aside from the esthetics of construction, the lights in the bathroom did not work and the floors in the room were dirty. However, the hospitality was great and the staff were eager to correct the problems. The location is nicely placed 3 miles from the airport. I will consider this hotel again if not under construction.

Would not recommend staying here. Rooms smelled musty and like cat urine. The pool is the only thing that looks decent. Wanted to charge a ridiculous amount per night. NOTHING LIKE THE PI TURES ON THE WEBSITE! The only good thing about the place was the manager, after a long talking with, agreed to cancel without charging us. Didn't even stay the night, was getting a headache from the smell in the room.

Sorry but Crowne Plaza is usually a pretty nice hotel but this one was depressing. It is under renovation (March 2018) so that means it should get better but that wasn't mentioned on the reservation site. From the front view it looks abandoned, rooms are dark and dated (I even had an upgraded room). Overpowering smells of air freshener and carpet cleaner (or something to cover up other smells). Dining room is temporarily in a conference room space. Halls are clearly construction zones. Staff was friendly and helpful. I say pass on this until they are finished… there is a reason it is cheap right now. (I'm comparing this to Crowne Plaza in Aberdeen, Scotland that I was in for a few weeks last month and that place is nearly perfect. )

I don't know what some of these are complaining about. My wife and I stayed 3 nights and they were great. Staff was friendly and helpful, housekeeping came by everyday which is becoming more and more rare these days. And the beds were comfortable. The renovations are what they are, its not as convenient of course, but their setup really isn't bad and they are making it the best they can with what they got (which isn't much at the moment. Id stay here again for sure and there's no way you could beat the price.

Not only were the people at the front desk rude, they refused to help or directly answer our questions. Secondly, I take full blame for this one but I accidentally left a bag with some very important items. I called the hotel operator who then directed me to housekeeping, they never answered so I was forced to leave a message. I never got a call back so I called hotel operator again after a couple of hours. They told me that I had to speak with housekeeping and I mentioned that I had already called. At this point I'm feeling hopeless and thinking that this is dragging too many days. I just think I'll need to go and replace all my stuff. This hotel doesn't seem to care that I just want an answer. Also, this hotel is under construction, I found this out the day before our arrival, the deadline to cancel, of course. I couldn't go elsewhere so stayed here. During my stay, I was interrupted by maintenance twice to do work in my room. WTH! Would not recommend this place to anyone, EVER.

Extremely good experience. Got to the hotel late and was missing my razor and toothbrush, with important meeting in the morning. Hotel employee volunteered to go get a replacement for me. So kind and very appreciated. Thanks so much for making my trip so much better.

The hotel it's is clean and well kept. No complaints Even with the hotel under renovation. The staff is 5 stars! They went the extra mile to make this one of the best experiences I have ever had while checking in and staying in a hotel. Every staff member I passed made sure to ask if I was OK or if I needed any anything to make my stay more enjoyable. I'm espespecia thankful to the young man at the front desk for his magnmagnifi customer service going above and beyond. He is a hero in my book. I will be visiting San Antonio one to two time a month until October. After a 20 hr drive from GA this is the only place I want to stay. Thank you again to the staffs for all your help.

The construction that is currently going on (for about another month) makes the hotel look run down. The temporary lobby is tiny. The room was nice, comfy bed and a descent view. Very friendly staff.

Booked on Priceline for a very good rate. Great location, very convenient to great dining and shopping. The hotel is going through a total renovation. Hotel is totally smoke free. Our room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Linens and pillows were new and in good condition. Wallpaper needs repairs on some seams. Tub had some rough spots. Staff very friendly. Staying here with my son and it is fine for a reasonable rate. Probably would make another choice if traveling with my wife.

There are construction going on. Other then that, hotel is beautiful, staff are nice. Although its cold there.

Enjoyed my time at the Crowne Plaza. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Especially enjoyed the bartender. He was really funny and engaging.

Every time we come here it's something different. I travel to this area at least 10 times a year and if this wasn't close to where I work I wouldn't come here. Always over charging me on either my room or the deposit. It takes around 3 months to get my deposit back. Then why would you put someone on a floor that has all this in the hallway? So unprofessional and not hospitable. A different manager almost every visit. Maybe one day they will get on the right track.

Haunted AF. We stayed here in 2015. The room was really nice and we were pleasantly pleased with everything until morning. I was getting ready in the bathroom and my boyfriend walked in & stood behind me so I started asking him about breakfast when I turned and realized I was completely alone. A bit freaked out I reluctantly chose to brush it off and got out of the bathroom as quick as I could. My boyfriend later told me, when away from the hotel eating breakfast, how he had a very eerie experience at the hotel. I asked what he meant and he said when he was getting ready in the bathroom he felt / saw someone in the corner behind him but chose not to look towards it. I remembered him coming out of the bathroom quickly and saying “we need to go”. When I asked why he just started grabbing his things and packing. We basically both had a very strong presence experience in the bathroom without even telling each other about it and both claimed it felt like a woman who definitely didn’t want us in there. The room looked/felt like it wasn’t originally a room… more like an area the hotel realized they could make into a room. It was a single queen or king bed room, but I forget what floor we were on though. Beware of the woman haunting the jacuzzi.

Beautiful rooms. Great service. Even though they're remodeling, amenities and services stayed the same. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything to make your stay pleasant. Great hotel.

Our basketball team had a pleasant time at this location. It was close enough to the gyms and Spurs arena we visited. We had Luby's next door to us. The pool was fun and refreshing and the staff was very nice, too.

Fast check-in, friendly staff, room was adequately sized and was clean. My only concerns were the cramped parking lot making it difficult to navigate and the water fixture in the lobby that has fish in it that have almost no room to move. Overall, this is a good hotel to stay and is in a close location to many of the places to go in San Antonio.

Super noisy on the rooms on the side of the Highway. I asked to move to the other side and lucky they had rooms available. Slightly rundown too.

Great location, Nice size, good size shower. Greatly loved the microwave and refrigerator. They provide coffee maker and enough to make yourself a cup. Got queen size beds and was very comfortable. They provided extra pillows, Ironing board, and a Iron. Good size TV with cable provided. In the lobby, snacks were available at a extra cost. Trolley was provided and will stay again. Greatly appreciate the stay.

Hotel was nice & clean. I was good with it. The shower pressure was good also (which is important to me). The reason I went with 3 stars is the shower drain was nasty & should have been replaced.

As for me & my family… we will NOT be taking off our shoes inside the room. Purchased toilet seat liners. And showers will wait til we check into the next hotel tomorrow. Enough dust in the room to create art master pieces. AC is disgustingly nasty & smells. Maybe their are cleaner/nicer rooms in this hotel but NOT the room we were assigned for sure. PS look under your sheets & behind mattress before you lay your head down. Ugh!

The staff was so nice. The place was clean and it was very comfortable. We loved it!

Checked in and was promptly informed of the elevators in the hotel were down. Had to resort to using the staff elevator to get to my room. A minor inconvenience, sure, but far from an excellent first impression. The room we reserved is small and simple, and the bathroom could certainly go for an update. Disappointingly low rent. Outdoor pool and courtyard are low-rent for a Crown Plaza and in need of updating as well. However, I'll give a 3-star review as I only gave $90 pre-tax for the room, which for a holiday weekend in San Antonio is good value.

Great location! Good price for a mini luxury vacay! Staff was nice! Lubys within walking distance! Winning! Only downer ;when I had to modify my reservation from King to 2 Queens… I had to shell out another $25?! The hotel wasn't even packed. Although it was great room; not sure I liked the "poke your eyes out fee" to get 2 queens. With the place being 40% full.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around… Service was great as we checked in and out on an overnight trip. Rooms were clean and welcoming. Beds were decent but could have been more comfortable, but I understand that it depends on individual preferences. Right off the highway so it's easy to get going wherever and it's only a couple miles to the airport and shopping and restaurants are close by too.

The room was neat and the room service was great. The food provided for my stay was well prepared and there was a good variety of food too. All in all the hotel was good and I slept comfortably.

When you get there, the outside looks nice. You walk into the lobby, and it is gorgeous. They have a sitting area that is rather large, a full restaurant, and bar. We ate breakfast there one morning and it was very good. I didn't go swimming, but what little I saw, it seemed okay, a little small though. The guy at the desk seemed very nice and friendly. He gave us our room key for a room with double queen beds. As we were stepping out of the elevator on the 5th floor, we see a group of kids running up and down the hallway, unsupervised. Then we looked around and found a bunch of water damage on the doors, walls, and carpet. It was obvious that the damage had been there for a while, but we went on ahead to our room. At first glance, it looked decent, but rather small. They crammed 2 queen beds into 1 small room with a dresser, desk and chair, 1 night stand, another small table, and a fabric accent chair. I have stayed at lower star hotels and motels that had larger rooms then this place. We turned on the A/C and it didn't work. I called downstairs to let them know, and the guy told us someone would be up to our room to help us move. We waited 15 minutes and nothing. Fortunately, my husband is an HV/AC technician, so he decided to look at the A/C to see if he could fix it. He managed to get it fixed, and I called downstairs to let them know. The guy told me that he had JUST sent someone up to move us, but would recall them. By now, it had been well over 20 minutes.

The service was nice and the rooms were clean. Having free Wi-Fi was also nice, too. However, the rooms walls were pretty thin so I could easily hear my neighbors and the room could get easily humid. Also, upon getting to my hotel room, the fridge smelled bad and was slightly moldy. Other than that though, it was a nice hotel.

Fourth was a careless puco. The staff was nice.

Stayed here for a local event being held in the ballroom on property and got a group rate. When checking in, needed a luggage trolley, but due to a large rush checking in at that time, none were available. They only had 2 trolleys for the entire hotel. What? Our room and the second floor hallway walls needed cleaning. The walls were filthy with dirty prints or stains. Our bathtub needed refinishing. The walls were super thin. The bed was hard and the pillows too flat. We went for breakfast, that we thought was included, only to be told it wasn't because we had the discounted group rate. We (2 adults, 3 kids under 10) reluctantly got food from the disappointing buffet, only to find out we could have ordered from the menu for less expensive options. When we complained, they did refund one of the adult Buffet charges, luckily the kids under 10 eat free. However, my normally voracious eaters left much of the food on their plates due to the poor quality and taste. The coffee was poor quality also. Overall, I do not feel this lived up to a 4 star rating and we would stay elsewhere in the future.

The rooms are old and entered the direct sound of the highway to the room. I woke up every time you passed an ambulance or police.

I only booked at this hotel because I bid off of Priceline. Which that is another story to complain about. It Is nice, but for the price it's ridiculous the other fee's you have to pay! $30.00 a night for parking, $10 a night for Wi-Fi, not even the good Wi-Fi, that is $14. A $50 deposit. It is no where Near the attractions! When we enter our room, no remote! The room was DIRTY! They must have the lazy house keepers, because there was candy wrappers and used tissue all over the floor! It made me thinks what else was half fast clean? The only good thing that was nice about the room, was the bed and extra towels. No trash bags in trash cans, and We got woke up so early from the lady down stairs asking if I can come down, so she can give us more info about returning and fun packages… umm. No woman its 8 am I am on my small vacation, the last thing I want to do, is talk to you and give yall more of my money. I will never stay here again.

Great stay. Good breakfast buffet, though little pricy. Good room service. Very bear to most attractions.

Never been more offended in my entire life. Was not served in the bar they accused us of being over served. That is the first time that that it has ever happened in my entire life. The rooms are dated. Our sink doesn't drain. Room service comes too early. The buffet is over priced. The bar staff is super rude. I'd would stay anywhere else but this place. I will never stay at a wyndham property again in my entire life. The fall for the resort trap either. They will have you go on a high pressure tour to sell you an expensive time share property. Wyndham is a joke. Never have been so offended during this weekend stay in my entire life. I'd advise you to stay anywhere else but here!

The staff were aming the best I've experienced. Great decor and water feature (do the goldfish get more than that 2" of water though? ). They are in the midst of changing ownership so it's missing some TLC with cleaning standards and maintenance. For example, flickering lights, wallpaper peeling or bubbled out, paint chipped in bath, chunks out of tub needing repair, slow flow toilet. Has great potential though so I hope new owners give it some love. Shuttle very convenient.
