We had an excellent stay here. Don't let the small front view full you. It is a nice place to stay while visiting the area. We stayed in the back. Our room was very clean which means the most to me. Our sheets were soft and smelled good like at home. Large, with room to walk around. Bathroom may be small for some but all we needed. The owner was very nice and made sure our accommodations suited us. Would recommend to LMU families looking for a nice place to stay while in town.

Just what you need. While front part is older with smaller rooms, back part is newer with larger rooms. Rooms were meticulously clean and in good order. Fridge, microwave, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, iron, and ironing board were available in my room. Ice machine easily accessible. Lots of shops, restaurants, and attractions within minutes of here. The staff and owner were so friendly! It was a pleasure to stay and I had had a great nights sleep.

Older place, but clean. Only complaint is that there was no sound barrier and the highway was very loud at night.

Patrick the owner is very nice. He did show me the different size rooms they have. All the rooms are clean and have Wi-Fi.

Great find in roadside lodging near Cumberland Gap Harry and his family are some of the nicest folks you'd ever hope to meet and have been running the Tazewell Motor Lodge in Tazewell, TN since day-one. This is a rare find in the form of a great old-school motor court. It's clean, comfortable and quaint with all of the basic comforts and enough modern, including a large wall mounted flat panel and excellent Wi-Fi, to make for a great stay. You park right outside your door and get a for-real key to your room. Harry has a mentality of cheerful gratefulness to the community and to his customers that makes you want to pull up a chair and sit for awhile. There's a little noise from the highway out front, but it wasn't that heavily traveled and wasn't a problem for me. There are rooms available on the back side away from the highway as well.

Stayed with them several times nice rooms clean rooms if I didnt have a home here to stay in thats where I would be.

Modest, but very clean and the staff are incredibly courteous and helpful!

We were greeted by the owner, super nice. Quaint old school motor lodge, but did have upgraded amenities, like flat screen tv, with cable and not just 8-9 channels. Clean and comfortable.

I attended a convention here and the management was great. Beautiful location and no complaints. It isn't the Ritz but who needs the Ritz?. Friendliness is what matters.

The staff is really wonderful and welcoming. We got in late around 1am for an overnight stay. We were in the area for a graduate school interview the next morning in the area. The Motor Lodge, itself, is just a few minutes passed town, it's right off the highway so you can hear cars passing by, but other than that it is very quiet. They don't allow locals within 50 miles to stay unless it's due to an emergency which is nice because you know there won't be any parties and such going on. There is no smoking in any of the rooms so you don't have to worry about any of the rooms smelling like stale smoke. The gentleman at the desk upgraded us from a single queen bed to a king room for no extra cost since they had the space available. The room was extremely clean, fresh smelling, clean linen and towels, great water pressure, had a mini fridge and a microwave, anything a bigger more expensive hotel might have they also had. When I checked out the morning desk man asked if I wanted any coffee or if I needed anything else. Also, the overnight desk man, again was extremely nice. He gave us great directions for our trip to the campus the next morning. I believe it's a family owned place which adds to its personable atmosphere. Literally the only negative thing I can say about this place is that there were only 2 pillows and they were a bit flat and hard. Other than that, I have nothing but praise to give for this place. I would highly recommend it for an overnight or extended stay.

Room was small but had the essentials. Was not impressed when there was no shampoo or conditioner. Called the front desk and they brought 3 half empty containers that had already been used… worked for what we needed though.

Clean, cheap, and friendly? What more do you want? The staff, particularly Patrick, were very welcoming and recommended this awesome pizza joint to me and my friend. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I do have to take off one star because the Wi-Fi was spotty at times and there was no free shampoo, so bring your own. Otherwise this place was awesome, if you are staying in Tazewell you should really think about staying here!

I recently spent a night here and I am on the road a lot. This is probably the friendliest (Best Owners Ever) and cleanest place I have seen. It may not be new but it has all you need and most of all its quiet safe and a great value. I would stay here again.

Bad smell in the parking lot. Hard to get a refund for one night.

I've always found the rooms to be very clean and the staff to be very kind and helpful. Excellent location. Excellent room rates. I would recommend TML to anyone who needs a nice quiet place to stay while in Tennessee. You won't be disappointed.

Accidentally came across this lodge and sure glad we did. Many hotels were booked due to the July 4th holiday weekend when we found this place. Extremely clean! The owners were amazing, They were very accommodating and gave us tons of information we needed about the area, where to dine, etc. Free Wi-Fi. Fantastic location. Great price for a very nice place to sleep! If ever in the area again, will definitely book a room here.

Service was great and the rooms were very clean for a older hotel! For the price you can't beat it. My family of 8 shared a couple rooms and were all very pleased! Real close to the lake and located near several restaurants, fast food, and grocery stores. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We needed to go to a visitation, and funeral in Tazewell, My husband was unable to travel two days in a row, so we decided to stay in the area. We got a room at the Tazewell Motor lodge, and was very satisfied with the room. The room was clean and reasonable priced. Pat at the desk was one of the nicest people you will ever hope to meet. If I am in the area and need a room, I will be staying here, if they have a room available.

Rooms are great for the price. The receptionist was courteous and even upgraded our room for about $10 more. Microwave, refrigerator, HDTV. All-in-all a great little place for the coin.
