Desperate stop post 11:00pm headed for KY. I'll be the first to admit, at the price quoted, I was expecting a dump. I WAS WRONG! I was greeted with a smile and wonderful service. The room and linen were very clean. This was excellent value for the price of admission. Four stars because a five star would be considered down town Philly, Atlanta or Miami Beach. For this area, definitely a good value. I was VERY satisfied with the service and room provided. I would take this road less traveled, knowing I would have a good room like this to stay in.

That's was AWESOME place to take the LOVE of my LIFE I would definitely be back if ever I came back to TENNESSEE.

Comfortable beds, respectable staff and amenities, microwave and mini fridge in rooms. Vending machines available as well. Bathrooms could use extra towels, washcloths, soap, shampoo, etc. Decent enough for a highwayside motel.

Overall great place to stay. Particularly in this area. Hotel is clean and lots of new improvements. Rooms are very well updated. Staff is responsive and courteous. They re-opened their breakfast for us when we came in late our first morning.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. It looked like my room had been recently renovated. The front desk was polite and concerned that we got what we needed. I was there for only one night, but I will stay here again next time I visit my friends.

Everything was great. The view was amazing could see the mountains from our room. Prices were very reasonable. Only thing room smelled s bit smoky and we got the smoke free room. But still would go back.

Keep driving. White sheets and towels are nasty, yellowish, not enough shampoo, or cups, no coffee whatsoever. Went to office, was not allowed a cup of coffee till morning. The breakfast is worthless. Not a welcoming establishment at all! PS: I saw no live bugs, but I looked for them as it was just plain creepy.

Clean, quiet basic Motor Lodge. We stayed after a day at Fall Creek Falls and had a comfortable night.

Remote wouldn't turn TV up and down. They didn't give me the password to the Internet or a receipt. Nice rooms and quiet.

Friendly people and clean rooms. Beds a little worn but still a comfortable quiet place to stay at on your travels. I will be making reservations again here on my next trip to Sparta.

Awesome place to spend the night! The staff is very friendly and helpful with all of our needs. If you need a nice clean place to stay that won’t break the bank, Royal Inn is the spot!

Basic hotel. Stayed in the executive/king suite and wasnt that impressed but the room was spacious yet over priced.

Clean and inexpensive, friendly staff.

Room was infested with bugs both live and dead on walls ceilings and heater. Hair dryer didn't work unless you held the on button in the entire time. Jetted tub was dirty with a used bar of soap in the bottom of it and hair sticking out of the water intake cover. Toilet didn't flush without holding the handle down. Breakfast consisted of mini donuts and frozen waffles. Definitely not worth the price paid and will not stay again or recommend to anyone. Only upside was pets allowed for a $10 fee.

Great place to, they allow pets with a $10 daily pet fee. Stayed fairly quite despite being next to 111 hwy. Its close to pretty much everywhere in sparta. Very good choice if staying for a couple of days.

Super comfy beds. Nice sized flat-screen t. V. No coffee maker in room but there was coffee in the lobby each morning. No continental breakfast.

Lots and lots of cockroaches. When I took pictures of them and showed the manager he wouldn't do anything about it.

We stay at the Royal Inn whenever we come to Sparta! It's close to our friends and relatives! Very convenient! Each time I see little improvements to make our stay more enjoyable!

I called to get a room for two nights and the lady was very rude she she started yelling at me because I mentioned the online rate. It is the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for any one to stay at. Customer services is horrible.

Not the fanciest place but is clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is good.

Easy to find off the highway with the most comfortable beds I've ever found in a hotel chain! Room was very clean and well-stocked. Breakfast starts at 6:30am.

Nice big rooms. Clean. Helping staff. Big parking. No noise even if near to the highway.

We spent four nights there and really enjoyed it. The pool was perfect for the kids a little small but they didnt care. Everyone seemed very friendly for the most part. Restaurants were close to the hotel so is walmart, dollar General, and other small businesses.

The owner was extremely creepy and rude. He kept staring at me and my young nieces while we were at the pool. He creeped us out so bad, we refused to leave the room after spending 20 minutes at the pool. They charged us $5 for 2 hrs per niece to swim and then we get to have him throwing us nasty looks and creeping us out.

BedBug Central Having stayed at this place, I must now have my entire home fumigated. Although I showered in the morning, bedbugs followed my home in my clothing and in my luggage. Please beware!

Very nice place to stay. Would have gave 5star but the bed was a little to hard for my back, other than that it's a very friendly and nice place to stay. I will check in here again when I come back this way.

Looks like a very nice and well maintained Hotel and my next trip to Sparta, TN I will try to stay there if there is not enough room at my Grandmothers house!

I decided to stay at what I thought would be a decent hotel. I walked into the lobby and the Indian man at the desk threw a pen and paper down toward me and said to fill it out. No pleasant greetings or anything, and as if that wasn't bad enough he couldn't seem to get the price of the room set to one specific number. He quoted me $45 and I was charged $50. Now the room was actually very clean and the maid was incredibly nice and friendly and took care of any requests I had throughout the day. Now I had planned on staying two nights until I had overheard a conversation in the next room that I found VERY offensive between the man that was at the front desk and the maid. He was speaking to the young maid in an extremely disrespectful way; yelling, belittling, scornful, and very rude. After hearing the way he was speaking to his employee (after I seen how hard this young lady was working and how polite she was to me) I no longer wanted to stay at this hotel anymore. I can see that he treats his employees with disrespect just as he treated me upon my arrival. Customer Service is obviously not a part of a pleasant stay at the Royal INN in Sparta, TN. I would rather spend the extra gas and money on a hotel in the next county and know that guests and employees are both equally respected.
