Room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for a couple of days. No towels were in the bathroom, when I asked the front desk, I was told they couldn't do anything to help since the cleaning lady was not there. They didn't have a key to the closet, they acted like it was funny and like I was bugging them, while they looked at there smartphones the whole time. They handed me 2 washcloths? The room smelled like cigarette smoke even though I had non smoking room. Fruit flies were present. Water in shower would be hot then turn cold all of a sudden. Some left sock and strewn across floor in bathroom. Will never stay here again no matterthe price.

Nice rooms, nice houskeeping staff, nice front desk staff. The Manager Crystal not nice at all. That's the only reason for three stars. I'm changing my review because I found out that I can't get a room there anymore for smoking marijuana which I'm allergic to and don't do. Also because there were a lot of complaints that I was never told about, probably because I'm so quite. But as I talk to counsel I will continue to update. Still upset at how rude the manager was and rooms weren't clean.

If I could rate it 0 I would Fraudulent, liars and thieves. Stole 600 worth of my mail and lied about it. Manager "Crystal" claimed she was gonna take care of it and refund me the money for my "lost" packages which were sent here and I never received. She didn't do anything she said she would do and now it's in corporates hands. Detective investigating the case and I have to pursue a lawsuit. Most shady disgusting place I've ever stayed. Bugs in bathroom and the walls. Someone checked out of our room and no one ever cleaned it after. There were used towels strewn everywhere with what appeared to be a black person's curly pubic hairs all over them and dark hairs on pillow that weren't mine. I didn't even want to sleep in the bed Bc I knew it was dirty and stains all over. It was like something out of a horror movie. I called down stairs and told them and they blew me off. I went downstairs and asked for clean towels and sheets since this is supposedly a motel 6 guarantee and they refused and said "we don't have any". What kind of hotel doesn't have access to any towels or sheets? There were at least three other people down stairs giving the same story that their towels, sheets and room were dirty. We were told to go buy towels and we'd be reimbursed! Lol That's ridiculous Just like you'd pay me for the mail you stole of mine almost a month ago, right? I have stayed at motel 6 before and this definitely wasn't normal.

The location was easy to find. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, if a bit slow checking us in. However, the rooms were terrible. I got two rooms and in one the air conditioner was falling off the wall, it was non-smoking yet it smelled horrendously like smoke. The other room was much worse: no hot water in the shower, stains on the sheets and pillows, the floors hadn't been vacuumed in at least a month, smoke smell in non-smoke room, missing lightbulb in one light, the drawers were falling out of the dresser, there was mold inside the shower stall and outside of it. I heard other guests also complaining about the lack of cleanliness and smoke smell also. All in all, I thought Motel 6 was better than this and I will never be staying at a Motel 6 again. I didn't expect a five star hotel or even a hotel at all. However, I did expect to at the very least have clean sheets and a vacuumed room.

Three of us stayed there for one night.   One towel was given to us for the room.   I was told by the front desk no more could be given because housekeeping locks them up and they won't be back until 9 AM the next day… after we were checking out.   No alarm clock or phone in the room.   The  floor in the bathroom was pealing up and looked dirty.   There was a cockroach in the bathroom that scurried out.   Carpeting appeared to have bloodstains… dear God I hope it wasnt. There was garbage in the dresser drawers. The dresser itself was broken and beat up at the bottom.   The mattress was bad, and the mattress pad was dirty.   The fire alarm on the ceiling looked broken.   The room reared of smoke… BAD.   the front desk didn't really have any reasons as to why all of these issues were happening.   This definately did not look this bad online.   We have all concluded that this very hotel was the worst hotel that we each have stayed.   We ended up purchasing sheets to be placed on top of the bedding for fear of any other "bugs" that might be in those two beds.   Many neighbors that were in town for the event that we were at had similar experiences.

Well the room looked clean but the bathroom was horrible. The shower had so much black mold and the toilet was dirty. The outside lights were not working so unless you had a flashlight you could not see to get down the stairs. There are no microwave, fridge, or flat screen tvs in the room the only amenity offered is coffee or ice. The staff was not rude but when asked any question at all they did not have a clue how to answer it. There we're people slamming doors all night and the heat in our room was broken. We had a horrible stay all the way around. Unless some serious improvements are done I will not stay here again it was just horrible. The only thing I liked at all about this place is they have really good washers and dryers for their guest laundry.

I know what I'm getting with Motel 6, hopefully a clean place to get off the road, get some sleep, get up and get back on the road. Spartanburg Motel 6 met this criteria, but the mattress may have been the worst mattress in any hotel I ever stayed in. I could feel every spring. On a good note, the front desk was very polite and prompt.

Where there begin! 1: AC had no vent cover, looked rusted/ dirty. 2: Box spring filthy desperately needs replaced not covered. 3: Shower head way too low and I'm only 5.4 4: In shower the hot was cold and the cold burnt the skin. Health hazard that could have been a child. 5: 1st night found stink bug no problem must have just got in BUT 2nd night found more. Needs an exterminator 6: Overall room smelled. 7: should have had pool closed for season on website! It was 80 degrees outside and pool was closed. I paid more for the pool then non pool hotel and couldn't use CORPORATE YOU NEED TO LOOK INTO THIS PLACE. It's ruining your company name. I will be sharing this on other social media.

We decided to leave a day early for our vacation and stay in Spartanburg on our way to Tennessee to try to avoid hurricane Irma evacuation traffic. Motel 5 was inexpensive. The rooms and TVs were old. One room didn't have any toilet paper. Another was supposed to be non smoking but obviously wasn't. The light over the vanity in one room didn't work. The one shining light was the front desk clerk. It was a crazy night with lots of evacuees checking in and he was calm and collected. Very professional. I wish I could remember his name because he was truly an asset to this hotel.

If it weren't for necessity, I wouldn't have brought my family to this hotel. We evacuated from Florida during Hurricane Irma and I didn't expect to see very much hotel availability. We arrived at night and the Front Desk staff person was pretty nice. He expressed that the only available room was a smoking room. The smoking I could've withstood but that was not how this room smelled. It was an overwhelming mixture of funk and musty odors and an overbearing scent of what may have been used to TRY to clean it. It had a bed in which I was stuck by the springs through the mattress and the sheets were full of stains. The bathroom shower was missing parts of the floor and we didn't even use it. The furniture smelled moldy and looked to have water damage. We were supposed to stay 2 days but I checked out after the first night.

Wonderful stay! Room was immaculate. Staff was fabulous! Highly recommend a stay here. We based here during our time to go view the 2017 solar eclipse. We may go back just because, lol. Thanks for your hospitality!

The location was good, and we felt lucky to get a room just after the big solar eclipse that lots of folks came into town for. The price was also very good. I think we learned why the price was so good after we got there. There was only one person to check people in, and he seemed overwhelmed. At one point, we were asked to step outside of the office while he locked the front door and went to take care of something (? ). But he came back a couple of minutes after and got the job done. The room itself was passable, and that's about the best thing I can say about it. There was a smell of mildew. I didn't trust the looks of the bedspreads. The sheets at the foot of the bed had what looked like blood stains that never washed out. The bathroom was "clean, " but is really run down. The shower head was mounted about five feet from the floor, and we had to duck down to get our hair wet and to wash our faces. I'm only 5'9", so I can imagine what a pain this would be for anybody who is "tall. " There is no soap dish in the shower, so you just have to either hold your soap the whole time or put it down on the shower floor. Really weird. There was only one set of towels in the bathroom, though we had two people. I walked back to the office and stood in line for about ten minutes to ask for another set of towels. It was getting late, and I was too tired to drive another eight hours home. So we stayed. And we slept.

I think this place is awesome. Stacy the head housekeeper is VERY friendly and works hard to make sure the guests are serviced and happy. Krystal the manager is very nice and helpful. :) this is deff THE PLACE TO STAY! Room smelled so good and very clean. 5 stars all day!

There was a cigarette butt laying on what they call a headboard, shower floor had grit and grime on the floor, room smelled horrible. The Air condition leaked on floor. Did I mention stray animals running around and its behind an old ran down vacant dirty book store. Warning — do not stay here. Worst experience of my life! Next day cancelled reservation and went to another hotel!

DO NOT STAY HERE, Motel 6 should remove their franchise name from this drug house / brothel. They have this place advertised with the pictures of when it was first built. The outside has roof leaks that contain mold. The rooms reek of smoke and funk. Our floor had blood drops on it. They are more convicts housed here than a jail house.

This hotel experience was absolutely horrible. When we arrived (My wife, 5 yo son and I) we first encountered a very unprofessional employee (who declined to give her name for this review). She smelled like a box of cigarettes and we later found out she charged our credit card $40 extra without our knowledge. When we went to complain we dealt with Jacob (we later found out his name was JOHN) who completely disregarded our concerns and then, Attempted to have us check out at 12 midnight only promising a one day refund. We drove over 7 hours so checking out a midnight was not an option. This room smelled musty, the toilet water was yellow. Prositutes were soliciting although children were present. Trash was cluttered outside the rooms. This was an all around bad hotel. I would suggest going to ANY hotel before this one. We will never return. We would actually rank this hotel with no stars. They only get one star due to the kind employee that assisted when we were leaving! We would like to thank the young lady who ran behind us to give us JOHNs real name because he gave a false one. Bed very uncomfortable. Room small for the price. No atm on premises. Cleanliness could be improved.

I am a professional driver, and normally stay at Motel 6 for the low prices. This location is cheap for a reason (at least for my experience in room 105). The mattress is old, uncomfortable with compressed springs giving it a lumpy feeling. The TV is a small, old box with a horrible picture, and the cable/satellite channels are poor and limited. I am very easy to please when it comes to hotels, and to say I'm not pleased with this location is an understatement. The staff were fast and friendly at check in though.

We stayed there for a week and although we requested a room change at least 4 separate times throughout the week, they somehow always had nothing available even though they told us to come back at 3 (the time the rooms are done being cleaned), there were still no rooms open. This was strange considering we could walk around the hotel and see at least a dozen empty rooms. The staff was not even remotely friendly — a smile was hard to come by. The regular cable has only 30 channels. The Wi-Fi costs $5/day for us to watch Netflix and $3 for slower internet. However, it was $5 per device per day. We could not connect our phones to the same Wi-Fi we were streaming our TV off of. Completely ridiculous. The people staying at the hotel were super sketchy. When the sun goes down, the creeps come out. I was afraid to leave my room at night because of all the drug deals going on. The only good thing at this hotel was the housekeeping. Every day I had the happiest and nicest women coming to clean my room. One day I asked for a new bath mat. The lady told me that she was waiting for them in the wash and later on when I got back to my room, there was a plastic bag on my door with a bath mat and a note saying how she was sorry it had taken so long and wishing me a good night. Motel 6 was definitely not even worth what we paid for the room. We won't be staying here again.

Cum… staines all over smells like ashtraye beware… don't spend your money.

Place was amazing, staff was great. They helped my family with any of their needs and answered any of our concerns I will defiantly be staying here again.

There were stains on the floor. Roaches and had to be moved because nothing works (sink and toilet). Also when we stayed a couple of months ago, Netty (the guest services associate), told us a guy hung himself in one of the rooms! Yikes! She said he cut his wrists and hung himself in the bathroom area. Maids are grumpy. There were also needles in the parking lot. Not a place for kids cops are there all the time. Avoid this one it's cheap for a reason! And if you do stay keep your shoes on! Nasty.

Amazing place the room was well suited for my nightly stay and the staff was very helpful and made sure I was comfortable every way possible they had answers to all of my questions. I travel alot and I will be stopping back by here…

The bed was hard as a rock. Spotted a cockroach and the front desk clerk was rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I'm actually staying here tonight because I have. No choice! We check in and the room was extremely nasty and the heater didn't work. We needed 2 beds for the 3 of us but all they had was a room with 1 bed and at 11 pm we had to make it work because all others with 2 beds needed service. I have stayed at many Motel 6 locations but this place needs to be condemned! I literally threw up for. The smell of the first room. The carpets had deep stains in both rooms, windows so dirty you can barely see out of them. I wish I could Post pictures because they are disgusting!

Worse motel ever! rooms are very small. You pay for Wi-Fi but it's awfully slow. Beds bugs. Our room had pet fur everywhere and smelled like urine. Housekeeper threw our own blankets we had brought with us on the disgusting carpet that smelled like urine and feces beside the trashcan to "clean". She was very rude, almost violent. Drunk bikers were outside banging on everyone's door ready to start a fight over a parked truck. Will NEVER stay here again.

We showed up with our bus load of 50 people (we had reservations) and the woman working behind the counter was very patient in getting everyone sorted. The rooms were not high class by any standard but were fine for an overnight stay while on the road. The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower worked well. I'll probably ever need to stay here again. But if you're looking for a cheap quick stop you'll be in decent hands.

I Loved this place the pool was great and the staff made me feel right at home.

The rooms (we had two) were both gross! The carpet in our room looked like dried throw up was on floor! The towels were hand towels not bath towels! There was a wasp nest hanging right over our doors threshold! WORST YET we got BED BUGS from here! STAY FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR, AWAY!

The place was old but the staff really seemed to care about it. They really bent over backwards to help me, I can not say enough about how the lady at the front desk went out of her way to make me feel at home. I will say that the place is old and damn if those showers aren't smaller than a coffin and next to impossible to get into, but it was clean. The other guest however were assholes. I went for coffee twice in the morning to help me wake up and both times I found someone yelling at the clerks. One guy even blamed the clerk for his girlfriend not showing up WTH, but they smiled and tried to help anyway hell if it was me I would have kicked that guys ass before putting up with that shit so to the staff of this motel keep it up your great in my book.

I stayed here about 10 years ago, was decent back then. My guy 2 years ago took his trashy hooker bobbi from Columbia SC there. Thus the nasty stains on the mattresses. Correct he and I are no longer together.

HORRIBLE! And scary, sketchy looking and acting people all around. And the room STUNK.

This motel is filthy. Our room was infested with cockroaches, the air conditioner didn't work and the shower was moldy. Avoid! Avoid.

Frist room heat didnt work service told me to move the bed over to make it work then second room hair in both beds sheets not clean shower nasty never stay here.

If it wasn't legally considered arson, I'd burn this place down. Needs to be condemned. Non-smoking room smelled like an old VFW hall, even had ash all over the counter. Room was filthy and made me envy those lucky people living on the streets of North Korea. Absolute garbage, but I guess you get what you pay for. If you're desperate because you have dogs, just camp. Don't stay here.

This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, with a possible exception to the Super 8 Motel in Albuquerque. I'm pretty easy to satisfy, but I was totally unsatisfied with my motel room. First, they didn't assign me to the room I had requested: a king with smoking. Instead I was assigned to a double with a no smoking sign on the door. The guy who checked me in was nothing short of unprofessional and rude. The hot/cold knob on the shower was broken, and the room looked unkempt and disgusting. As cheap as it was, I wouldn't pay as much as $20.00 for that piece of work. I do not recommend.
