Great place to stay, beautiful area, wonderful staff. I visited several different places during my time here and am very impressed by the friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism of all I met. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I will be back.

Valet services at the Boardwalk Inn are sub-par. The Villa valley is top notch! No further experience in the Inn. The Villa rooms are awesome. The beach front bar and grill has great entertainment. The adult pool area is great.

It is a great place vacation. The Boardwalk Inn is gorgeous, the customer service is
excellent, everyone was so polite from the valet to the waiters bringing our room service.
We were there for an author retreat for her readers. All of our events and meals were wonderful.
Our group enjoyed the experience so much we are returning for another retreat in 2020.

This is for the management, of the Ocean Front Bar and food on the pier. DJ was good Saturday night. The Food sucks! Prefrozen. Very disappointed. With this atmosphere and at this price. Really?! Embarrassing. Won't be back. Points to operations, leadership, not staff.

Lovely resort, beautiful views and awesome beach. Rooms are nice, the restaurants are good, overall relaxing place. We will definitely visit again. Price is a little high but if you catch a discounted rate it helps!

Golf course was in excellent shape. Golf pro treated us excellent and the staff were exceptionally cordial.

Rooms were clean. Service and golf was great.

Lovely house BUT we were led to believe by houseplan shown & labeled with "elevator"on all 3 floors, that there actually was one. We discovered on arrival that it was merely an elevator shaft. (A serious problem for the handicapped. ) But the worst was the unwillingness to do anything, refund anything, or even apologize. Also we were told they would call us back but never did. With 18 steps per floor this was no small problem & would have been impossible for anyone in a wheelchair.

Gorgeous resort with 5 star amenities. Beautiful board walk just steps from the beach. Great food and spirits.

Beautiful resort with a lot of sport facilities. Good rooms and restaurants. We had dinner at the Grand Pavilion and afterwards walking on the beach to enjoy the sunset and Atlantic Ocean. In another night we transited to Goat Island on boat and enjoy a dinner with oyster, low-country boil and BBQ.

Nice resort, close to beach, good local restaurants. If you are there a few days, definitely rent bikes — great place to ride with trails around the resort and to the beach!

The wild dunes resort is a beautiful place. The villa we stayed in was amazing as well. The only concern is that there were ants in the master bathroom. Other than that I give the resort a 3.5 out of 5.

Very relaxing environment, plenty of facilities. However food and drinks from the resort are not cheap. Easier to go outside with more variety.

Beautiful grounds and great pools! The beach is amazing since they invested in all the additional sand.

Great place for the beautiful people to vacation away from the riff raff. Love the tennis facility and clay courts.

This was a huge disappointment! I was led to believe it was right on the beach to find condos blocking the view. The AC unit and the fan/light in the bathroom sounded like a 747 coming in for a landing. The walls were thin allowing us to hear the party going on next doid instead of getting some much needed sleep. They came into the room to turn down the sheets. They turned the TV on and left it on in an empty room. What a waste of energy. The staff seemed aloif. I will not be returning.

I was very surprised how beautiful the area is. Well be back soon. Just because.

Clean with friendly people. No rooms so stayed in condo only to find out there were no offered food or delivery and the promised beach access was boarded off! And instead of the sound of waves, each night we fell asleep to the sound of construction. Not likely to stay in the future…

Best golf course in the entire area there are two courses the harbor and the links and they are the best in the entire area great condition and very good service.

Very nice can be pricey depending on want you get, nice beach lots places to eat, rooms well kept and clean.

We go there every year or so. Safe, clean and quiet. It feels special when we go there and look forward to it all year long. Lots to do from swimming, golfing, bikes, tennis and more. Miles of clean beaches, restaurants, shopping and a convention center too.

Great place to have a business meeting. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is delicious. Will definitely go back!

Rented a condo here for our honeymoon. Great amenities. Access to a private swimming pool and a short walk to a private beach. First class golf course — would love to come back someday.

Listened to our needs and found our group a similar property. While on the resort, we took advantage of the beach, pool, bike rental, golf, tennis, and the playground. A perfect location for our mixed-age group. We will definitely be back again soon!

After arriving to check in, well after the 4 pm time, our room was still not yet available due to a "smell" issue. We were then placed in a double queen room, though we had booked a king. Staff was not very accommodating in rectifying this situation. I understand that it is the off season but one of the restaurants had "electrical issues" one day and had no food available… staff suggested I walk to the other restaurant several minutes away. It didn't seem like any big deal to them at all. Several staff members in guest services were either rude and talked over me when I called to ask about ordering in room dining, connecting me to a closed restaurant or hanging up the phone without so much as a goodbye or to make sure that our questions… which were few… were answered. Luckily, the golf course was in pretty good shape and the weather wonderful. The bartenders and manager at the Salty Goat were the highlight of our stay. They provided the best service we had and the food was delicious (definitely recommend the Taco Tuesday treats). I do not plan to return here to stay due to the confusion and attitudes of the staff.

The location is great. The isle of palms and the respective beaches are wonderful. The resort is nice with excellent large rooms and patios (at least at the villages). The one bummer is that the place is unusually spread out and food is difficult to find other than the hotel option. Rooms can be quite pricey in the summer but a decent deal in the shoulder months. It is mixed in with a gated community. You won't want for amenities.

2nd year visiting this Resort and each year is amazing! We always have a great time bike riding, playing at the beach, and just eating really good food.

The wild dunes resort hotel is a beautiful place to stay. Very peaceful and relaxing. The adult pool is large and very quite. On top of everything the staff is very friendly!

Have been to WD many times for vacation and golf packages. Usually stay at Ocean Club (Bldg. 4). Great space and views, on the beach, and only a mile from the Pavilion. Unit we were in for Labor Day weekend needs a serious updating but overall experience met all expectations.

Horrible. Got here on August 24, poor service from the front gate and it's still continuing. Power was out for 4 hours and no back up plan such as generators to help this situation. Finally got into the room at 8 pm. No complimentary anything for the hours missed on this once a year vacay. Get to the room, terrible smell in the room. Decided since we were already late into the room and the reception area was chaos that we better stick it out. Next day after cleaning it was even worse. Left door open for couple hours still no change. Had to move to a different room. Went to spa, very poor service there and spent $450. Breakfast was nothing more than a Hampton Inn complimentary meal w added fruits which were delicious but then the bill for this was $60 for 2 people. I am totally disappointed in this stay. The only thing I can say is that this is definitely not a 4 star hotel. I would say maybe 2-3. I will not be returning ever again.

We come to wild dumes every few years and it has always been great. We are staying at a beachfront condo and it has been great so far!

Attended a Wedding. It was on the beach and then the reception was at the Tides ballroom. The resort was clean, the employees were friendly, and the experience was a pleasant one. The only things that could be improved upon were directions and parking. It is a bit of a maze … And parking was hard to come by.

Such a beautiful resort. We didn't realize how big it was and how much there is to do. We stayed in one of the houses close to the pool and beach. We would definitely come back.

The rooms and guest service will fit your needs in my opinion very nicely. Although some restaurants like Huey's and Billy G's need improvements, the resort is a viable option for when you plan to visit the city of Charleston.

I have stayed at nice places before, but they wanted a credit card deposit of a couple hundred dollars for incidentals that we have not spent yet. That sounds more like a Holiday Inn policy. Had they publicized this, I would have stayed somewhere else. They were nice enough to let us check in early. The villa was pretty clean.

A little bit more expensive than it should be, yet nice location and nice resort.

Wild Dunes is a great place for families to get away and enjoy the beach without fighting the public beach crowds. The facilities offered here make very easy to not have to leave the resort and the staff have always been top notch in service in the ten years we've been going. Since it is right outside of Charleston,. If you are looking for for something more, you're a quick jump away. Rooms have always been a home away from home with great amenities. There is enough pools around if swimming in the ocean isn't your thing.

I love wild dunes. Do I need to post more… I have been coming here for over 30 years now. Iop is home away from home.

This was my family's first stay at Wild Dunes and it could not have been any better! The suite was exquisite! I always take my own cleaning supplies along when staying away from home so I can clean the way that I like things. It was unnecessary in our suite at The Village! Everything was perfect already! There are top notch amenities and plenty to do without ever leaving the property. The staff throughout resort were kind and helpful. The property is also very secure, which is import to me. We will stay here again and again.

My family of five people is currently staying in a condo with an oceanfront view, and it has been a delightful stay so far! The rooms are spacious and well cared for, and amenities are easily accessible.

Took a last minute trip. The accommodations were excellent.

Decent rooms nothing to brag about just roomy and clean. Have to admit it has a lot of amenities to offer and the staff is abundant and on point. Valet parking was nice and complimentary. On the other side of things. Food and drinks were a little pricey. I literary payed less for steak dinners at longhorns than I did for burger baskets at the resort. Also stupid fees attached to things that are normally free at other resorts. An example of this are the towel cards for the pools. (They are needed to get a clean towel) If the cards are missing from the room at checkout they charge 15 dollars per card. So don t misplace the cards. Oh and water bottles in your room with 5 dollar price tags attached to them. Yeah right? Not for me. Lol.

Location is wonderful, staff is excellent. So many things to do (golf, tennis, beach, bikes, etc). Family of 5 had an amazing time and can't wait to come back again.

I live here! It's a beautiful place with excellent golf and tennis, but also excellent beaches and world-class dining in close by Charleston!

The Boardwalk homes are really nice and provide a great level of convenience and comfort while staying at Wild Dunes. The transportation service is a really nice touch for hotel guests. The villages are nice, but could use some updated plunking as I have had an issue with water temperature control in the shower on two separate visits. All in all, Wild Dunes Resort is a nice place to vacation.

We are staying in the condos at wild dunes resort. We have had a fantastic time. The condo is clean and right on the beach. Wild dunes had tons of great amenities. We have taken advantage of the lap pool to swim in and the trail system for a few runs. Highly recommended!

We go there every year or so. Safe, clean and quiet. It feels special when we're go there. Lots to do from swimming, golfing, bikes, tennis and more.

Enjoyed our villa and townhouse here on two separate occasions. Love how close everything is to the beach. Wonderful amenities like a gym, tons of trails, bike rentals and shops to eat and drink at on the resort.

Went there for a friend's party. Loved the look of the resort. Hoping to be able to get back soon and play the course.

I stayed there for the Rodeo competition. S. D. O. T. Conference. And had a wonderful weekend there. The rooms was so great. Will definitely return friendly staff.

Beautiful resort and accommodations, however more than one member of our party was harrased by the security guard at the gate even after providing a confirmation of our reservation and the number of the villa we were staying in. We were also asked to recite to the exact address of the villa. A bit audacious in my opinion considering there is only one place to go to check-in. Resort check-in is after 4pm, yet one of our 2 villas wasn't ready when we arrived at 5pm. While that isn't a significant issue, just don't count on it being available like we did in order to make a reception by 5:30.

My new bride and I stayed 3 nights over Christmas holiday and were delighted by the southern hospitality and clean, modern, and fresh looking accommodations. We dined at the Sea Island Grill on the property and were treated to a wonderful Christmas Dinner of southern fare. The only complaint I had was that the hot water only lasted about 3-4 min before turning luke-warm or cool no matter how far the faucet was turned. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We hope to return in the near future.

The first time around last year was great and everyone really went above and beyond service-wise. Being from a shore resort town and having worked in the hospitality industry I can definitely notice and appreciate those things. This being my second stay, I would say there were things that needed to be addressed if only to inform management of these issues. Cons — 1. Check In was a bit inconvenient as we had been given the wrong room key type — after a long day of travel this was less than thrilling. 1a. Also I'd like to mention that upon arrival to the parking gate we were greeted by a very rude individual who was not welcoming at all; which was very disheartening as guests are the reason why his job (or any resort employee for that matter) exists. 2. There was a missing item from our In Room Dining (Breakfast) order that had been clearly marked on the door card. This was just forgetful (I was not charged for this however) 3. **This was unacceptable — one of our bath towels had several spots of blood on it! This was absolutely disgusting & unsanitary. 4. We had been bridging 2 reservations because we arrived one night early prior to an engagement on resort grounds. So prior to arrival we asked to be placed in the same room for the entire stay. Well you might have thought that we were asking the staff to do the most difficult task. On the 2nd morning of our stay I received a phone call while we were out that we were to change buildings that day.

I love this place. My family visit every year and always have the best time!

Check in left a lot of opportunity for improvement. We booked two adjacent rooms in the hotel, only to get two rooms in different buildings, neither in the hotel. The receptionist "Guest Tour Guide" was almost rude, not accommodating, nor apologetic, and huffed an puffed when asked if it was possible to get adjacent rooms, being that the 2nd room was for children under the age of 10. The property is small, but nice, well cared for and the waves and beach pristine. The tall, thin, blond woman in the hotel restaurant bar was outstanding and offered the level of service one would expect at a place of this caliber. Seemed like a lot of very young people working, not a lot of faces that showed years of experience.

We live in the Charleston areaand this is one of the only resorts close in proximity. The resort is great for families and most of the staff is very friendly. The organization of staff is extremely disorganized and chaotic. Check in is always a nightmare, our luggage was misplaced for an hour, room service was a disaster, it took an hour for housekeeping to bring towels and it took three phone calls for a manager to call me back. They also charged the wrong credit card after confirming twice with them. Our stays have not always been so unpleasant, but this last one takes the cake.

Golf, beach and the views.

Its a very nice resort. Great location and great service. I recommend it. We came off season but I would imagine in peak season they would have more to do. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is that I have seen better, more impressive hotels which had more onsite activities to do and the pools are basic. Beaches were fantastic though.

Golf here was a major disappointment. I paid 150 dollars to wait eight minutes for almost every shot — there was no beverage cart, and no one to clean my clubs at the end of the round. The maintenance staff was rude, and did not move out of the way when I was playing near them. When I shared my disappointment with the staff of the pro shop, all they could say was "sorry, " and offer me a bag tag. I am a better player, and I can honestly say that I won't be back, nor will I try any other courses in the Golf Associates family.

I, too, read these reviews and expected the worse. First of all, the resort and grounds are gorgeous. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I made a reservation for a Village Studio one day before arrival on Sept. 18th and room was ready when I arrived. This is the newest part of the resort so everything was upgraded from the granite and stainless kitchenette to the travertine tiles in the bathroom. The weather was perfect so the outdoor balcony was great for relaxing and taking in the sights. There are restaurants, a little market for sandwiches, wine, etc. A beachside cafe, and other amenities that are so convenient you don't have to leave the resort. The beaches were a little rough but you expect that with Atlantic beaches. Other shopping and restaurants were a short drive away so you'll have plenty to do if you want to try something different. I can't wait to return.

Great place. Fun, exciting and beautiful atmosphere. One of the best we've been to. Mgmt understaffed the friendly help for number of bookings. The pillows on the bed in 414B were horrible and should be replaced. The restaurant, the Grille inside the hotel, was wonderful. We enjoyed some delicious food and met the chef. Hope to return.
