We are having the most relaxing time here. Our cottage is meticulously clean and it’s the best vacation we have had in a long time. We needed this getaway more than we can express in words! Can’t wait to Come back to visit champagne, waffle, and teethy again.

Gorgeous location, great wine, friendly hosts, and a cute, if mischievous, pig. What more could you ask?!

Our stay this weekend was wonderful. Christian and his staff go above and beyond to make you comfortable. Yoga on the terrace on Saturday was great with our instructor along with the wonderful scenery. Saturday nights music on the terrace was also great with the serene atmosphere, wine and fabulous music.

We had an amazing and relaxing evening listening to great music and a wonderful bottle of wine. Spectacular views and a perfect host.

A nice hidden away place with a very nice view. Stay in the B&B or rent a cottage. We didn't stay, was just trying to find it. Walked around some. Met the owner, He was very nice. He has a horse that is Secretariat's granddaughter.

The Red Horse Inn is amazing. It's a luxury inn featuring a main home with fantastic accommodations as well as cottages throughout the property. Lakes, nature trails, rolling hills and beautiful landscaping catch your eye. The amenities are great and service is well above average.

The Red Horse Inn is amazing! The views of the mountains are breath taking! The grounds are beautiful also. Christian is wonderful and very involved in making sure your stay is memorable. We stayed for 3 days in the Grainary and enjoyed the hot tub with its awesome backdrop of the blue ridge mountains. We will certainly be back soon! 5 stars aren’t enough!

The Red Horse Inn is a little place of Heaven on earth! It's my wife and I's favorite place to get away. Christian and his staff are the perfect owners and make you feel like you're the most important people while you're there. His mom and dad laid the foundation and he is taking it new heights. With the new wine bar and renovated terrace its even better than before! To give this place anything less than 5 STARS you obviously haven't been there and have some other "agenda! " Keep up the good work Christian!

Lovely place! Life seems to stop when you go here its beautiful! We did a tour a few years back and the people are amazing. Very private, and quiet. The horses there blew us away. We love the cabins. Best in the area for sure.

My husband and I have stayed at The Red Horse Inn many times! It’s is truly the best Romantic getaway you can imagine. It’s clean, bright and very calming. If you haven’t been there please treat yourself. Wonderful place for an elopement/wedding. The inn keepers/owner are wonderful people. Kind and very respectful!

We came to Red Horse Inn for our honeymoon in November 2013. They made us feel so special. It was one of the most relaxing, serene places I have ever been! So beautiful with the green hills surrounded by a white fence! We stayed in one of the rooms in the main house, which was gorgeous! I cannot wait to come back and visit again!

My husband and I have stayed here for part of our honeymoon and for two of our anniversaries. It’s a beautiful location, peaceful, and romantic. You truly feel like you are the only guests there. We have stayed in the Springhouse and Stables cottages. Each time, the innkeepers were accommodating and very knowledgeable about the area, the sights to see, and the best local restaurants. The prepared breakfasts were great and the dinners brought down to the cottage are so delicious! We love The Red Horse Inn!

My husband and I spent our one year Anniversary here. We stayed in the Spring house cottage and it was beautiful. Everything was the way the pictures look on website. The view from the cottage is breath taking. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

We absolutely love The Red Horse Inn and have been going there every year for many years. We always get the same cabin for Valentine's. It is so peaceful and such a wonderful place to relax. There is so much to do and see in the area from hiking, seeing waterfalls, covered bridges, wineries and great restaurants not far away. Christian is such a natural at being an innkeeper!

Recently stayed for three nights at this wonderful Inn — and cannot say enough nice things. The property is amazingly beautiful — rolling hills, endless miles of walking trails, perfect sunrises and sunsets, and peace. The Inn itself, and its collection of cottages are also perfect for getting away from everything. The Innkeeper is also wonderful, extremely helpful in every way and will ensure you have a wonderful time. We also loved that parts of the inn are pet friendly (as are the Innkeeper's furry friends) and our pup loved running the grounds and walking the trails. Finally — this is a beautiful part of SC — we spent two wonderful days touring the back roads, taking in the scenery, visiting local vineyards and eating well. Can't wait to go back.

This is a beautiful property and a very impressive inn. I would highly recommend this as a romantic get away for special occasions or simply to relax and celebrate your relationship. The inn at the main house is very quiet, yet there is a wine bar newly opened if you want to step out of the elegant quarters. There are individual private cabins spread across the gorgeous property and a few cabins are even pet friendly. I will be back. My wife and I loved the stay and the hosts are very friendly.

I can't really put into words just how perfect The Red Horse Inn really is. The staff is committed to ensuring your stay is everything you want it to be. I plan to return every season.

We were in the process of of moving to the Landrum area and stayed a night at the Red Horse Inn. It is a beautiful location and facility. The staff are very welcoming and the grounds beg to be walked. We had a great time.

Stayed for a weekend wedding early October. Incredible location, rooms were perfect (had 5 of the main house rooms and one of the cottages) ; next time, cottage! Absolutely loved the care and support we received from Christian and the team. Spot on, perfect. Thank you all!

If you haven't been to the red horse how much you miss very scenic cozy property. Of course they have food, but there is a restaurant nearby the dutch plate.

The manger room we are staying in is wonderful despite being the cheapest. Breakfast every day is in our fridge which is put in during the day while were out. Tons of movies to watch if you want and some maps with places to visit while you're in town. Christian is nice and was happy to recommend a few local places too.

Not sure if the inn is still managed by the same folks, but I actually hope that they have been successful in selling it and moving on. On my visit, they were clearly overwhelmed and not hesitant to complain about it. I had to wait a very long time to sign in because they were busy doing something else. A little awkward standing in the reception room for that long. I stayed in the main building in the Manger Room, which was very nice, but be careful not to stay there on a windy night! The very sweet courtyard is FILLED with wind chimes. Seriously, like 9 or 10 of them. SO… whether you are trying to sleep or not, you will have a cacophony of wind chimes ALL. Night. Long. I tossed and turned and tried to figure out how I was supposed to get them to take them down in the middle of the night. I even went out to the courtyard in my pajamas to try to figure out how to take them down myself (it was 2 am). I was staying an additional night, and so mentioned this to the owners the following morning and the response was that "if it happens again, I should let them know". (Seriously). If I were running the inn, I would take down the offending wind chimes at the first sign of a breeze that might keep my guests awake. No… they should wait for me to let them know?! When? In the middle of the night? Can't they hear the chimes right outside their own door? Clueless.

If you have never been to the Red Horse Inn, you don't know what you are missing. This is a little piece of heaven not too far from home. The grounds are beautiful and the views of the Blue Ridge Foothills are amazing. We chose this wedding venue because of the views. Christian made every item on our wish list seem effortless. The ceremony was just perfect. We stayed in the cozy Springhouse Cottage with a fabulous hot tub on the back deck. They have definitely perfected the art of gracious hospitality with a romantic flare. We are already planning many anniversaries in our favorite cottage.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was beautiful and the rooms were clean and romantic. The staff was super friendly and had a lot of resources for us to use to check out the local areas. Loved our stay!

The room was nice and cozy. Loved the view. My husband was very disappointed. He planned this trip. He wanted it to be very romantic and to surprise me. He paid for early check in (which I thought was crazy they charge for that) He is a wounded warrior that has a lot of injuries. That morning it took him a lot longer to get going. We end up getting to the inn at around 5. The first thing the Lady said at check out is I am still charging you for early check in because I had to get up at 5 this morning to make the chocolate strawberries. The look on my husbands face. I told her I think he was going to surprise me with that. We had no problem paying the extra but she should have taken him to the side. Then she shows us our room and then points out everything my Husband paid extra for. The room had food particles on the carpet. They need to make sure to vacuum. Under the couch. Just did not get the warm feeling that you get from most Inns, Beds & Breakfast I did not feel this is worth the money you pay for.

Absolutely wonderful place to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, or a couple getaway! The cottage was beautiful, I'd stay again and recommend it to my friends.

We just returned home from an amazing surprise Birthday stay at the Red Horse Inn. Mary and Roger are the most gracious hosts and have thought of everything. They are available without being intrusive and are quite helpful with restaurant (Stone Soup! ) and adventure recommendations. The Manger Room was beautiful, quiet and very private. We enjoyed the delicious private breakfast waiting for us each day in our room and the whirlpool tub was perfect for soaking our muscles after a day of hiking and touring the area. I cannot wait to visit again during another season. The views are amazing. If you are looking for a noise free get away do yourself a favor and book this location immediately. No matter if you plan to get out and enjoy the views or stay in with a book or movie you will be pleased with this beautiful property.

Lofty ceilings and windows expose picturesque views of the hills, while private greenery and flowers surround the cottage. A refrigerator stocked with muffins, egg dishes and fruit is ideal for an undisturbed breakfast at any time without the need to leave the cottage. Every nook of the space is designed for relaxing. When venturing out, head to Landrum, which is only a fifteen-minute drive away. There you will find several mouthwatering restaurants to tempt the tastebuds, as well as quaint shops with friendly shopkeepers. For more activity, a waterfall or winery tour does not disappoint. Owners Roger and Mary make it all happen, and they are full of joy as they do it. Helping guests make memories is their passion. Enjoy!
