Super nice front desk lady gave us upgrade to suite after hearing about long drive and bad weather for the 2 of us. Room was absolutely wonderful.

First they told me that the room was going to cost me $134 for the night and then charged me $150. I would of like to know how much I had to pay up front and not when I was leaving this room was not worth $150 a night and there is no hot tub. Thanks for nothing my stay just went sour.

Friendly staff and generally nice hotel but the room was filthy! We were in town for our son's Basic Training graduation so there were no hotels close to switch to or I would have. The best was comfortable in the suite's bedroom but the pull out our teen daughter slept on was awful. She's less than 100 pound and the bed sank when she sat on it. I cleaned something gross off of the office chair and hairs on the wall and tub of the shower. I had to give the room and bathroom a scrubdown but we made due.

Nice room till I got my bill the next morning. We stayed there the night before my fiancé s surgery, which was supposed to be outpatient. We paid 89.00. My fiance ended up having to stay one night in the hospital. So I went back and rented a room for that night. I thought the lady at the front desk said 89.00 so I charged the room and went to bed. The next morning the bill had been slipped under my door. She had charged me 189.00 for that night. Total was 212.00. What a dirty trick.

Can't say enough great things about our experience here. We came for our son's graduation from Fort Jackson. We had to be up early and the staff prepared the breakfast early so that we could enjoy that before we left for the graduation. All of the staff was very friendly. They always said hello and asked if there was anything they could do for us. It was very evident that the management was very caring about the guests. If you're traveling to Columbia for graduation, this is a great place to stay. It's only about 5 minutes from Hilton Field where the graduation takes place. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful suite. Wow! Thanks for a great visit.

Hotel was nice, check in was easy but this was the first hotel where I was told that they can not do a military discount price adjustment.
Not kids friendly, kids (4 and 7) where playing toss a pillow and laughing for about 25 minuets at 8pm and we where told that they are being to loud by the hotel staff.
One of the rooms smelled musky.
The room was pretty big which was nice.

Window of room was covered with film during our stay due to outdoor painting. Not a big deal but did take away from the potential natural light in our room. Room was clean, plenty of space, and quiet. Breakfast has a lot of options and you'll be able to find something to start off your day.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean, with large bathrooms and large seating areas. The rates very very reasonable too. A food place to stop on the southern drive down to Florida, as it is a bit more than the halfway point from Ontario, Canada. Very nice buffet style breakfast here as well. Would recommend this hotel for short stays.

I have never been more disgusted in my life! We spent 1 week in myrtle it was amazing hotel was great until we decide to spend 2 days in Columbia bc we have family here we booked 2 nights here, worst decision ever made, my 10 yr old son slept on the couch and woke up to being bitten from literally head to toe and I mean from the top of his scalp to the bottom of his feet, I can't even count how many bites he has, went to immediate care and now hes on e medicines from bed bugs which I had to pay for, my daughter fiance and I slept in the beds and had no bites until I woke up the next morning and now I'm covered in bites. Now we have a 13 hrs drive home, all our belongings in trash bags and were miserable, the head cleaning woman told us this hotel has 2 lawsuits already going on due to bed bugs and will be a third. The counter staff and cleaning staff were very nice and said they have continued working there bc they are trying to push the owner to fix the place and he wont hes just wants to collect the money, it's a shame to have such a dedicated staff and such a horrible manager/owner I will be getting my money back and some I can promise that.

Room wasn't bad; roomy and clean, didn't smell, Wi-Fi was decent. I'm not a huge fan of the breakfast but that's not too surprising for hotel breakfast. Overall a solid choice if you're traveling for work or on a budget.

The staff said it was an older HIE but ut was the nicest one I've stayed so far. I had a suite with a Jacuzzi and a ceiling fan over the bed. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice Room. They have the HBO suite of channels which is good. They have a small workout room but inadequate if your a gym person. Only one bench and very light dumbbells. Typical cardio equipment. Every thing is way too close together. They have washers and dryers which is nice but 1.75 each. I have stayed at places that this is free. They do have a indoor pool but nothing spectacular. All in all a nice stay.

Not the nicest holiday inn that I’ve stayed in. It was overpriced for being so outdated, and it just didn’t feel very clean. The shower floor felt a little slimy and the shower head had hard water buildup and rust Which caused it not to spray properly and sprayed the face. The girl at the front was a little rude too in my opinion. The bed and TV were nice though.

Rooms are ok at best. I’ve stayed at so many much nicer Holliday inns! Also what hotel doesn’t have pack n plays for babies or cribs with wheels on them? This is just ridiculous. I knew I should have stayed at the Hampton inn around the corner! You can never go wrong with the Hampton inn. However with the Holiday inn it’s either hit or miss!

We live in California went to Fort Jackson to see my son graduate from boot camp… this place was very professional clean and very helpful … if you're planning to stay ask for Nicole… and if you like waffles you must eat at the Waffle House right next door…

I would have given five stars but on our last night we brought our soldier back after 4 and our room was just being cleaned. He needed the bathroom so she left towels but nothing else. Her cleaning supplies we're never picked up. All in all it was a great place to stay, awesome staff and decent breakfast.

Stayed the night of 23 March 2018. Actually everything was really nice except for the supposedly in door pool. Well, it was truly under a roof and inside, but the room was cool and the pool was way to cold. It might as well been outside because it really couldn't be used.

Room was comfy but the manager’Brandon’ and his night audit clerk where rude and disrespectful. I would not stay here again at this location. Will definitely pick a different chain to support. On each phone request was told No I can not help you. Would not print out updated receipt for room charges. Very unprofessional staff.

The rooms were really nice and kept very clean. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of variety and was really good. The pool was indoors which was really nice since it was 32° F outside, but the pool room was very cold. Also the pool was smaller than expected. Overall the service was good and the hotel was more than accommodating for me and my family's needs.

I’m extremely upset at this point and I haven’t even made it in my room yet. 1st off the woman at the front desk is rude no other word for it straight rude! It started with me having a difficult time booking a room using our friend & family discount. As my niece works at the Holiday Inn in Swedesboro NJ (Dejarae Lindsey). No where online would it let us put her employee info or any info regarding friends & family discount. I then spoke to the reservation department here & 2 different employees at the front desk last night before heading down & received no help. Then I put on my reservation we would be arriving before 3:00 and we would prefer NOT to sit in our car in the parking lot for 3 hours. Well we are here and we are stuck sitting in our car in your parking lot for 3 hours to wait for our room. After driving 12 hours down here this is not what I wanted. We come down monthly and have never had an issue with any of the local hotels letting us in our room 2-3 hours early. The way she treated me at the front desk was the worse customer service I’ve ever encountered and like I said our visit hasn’t even begun yet! Sent from my iPhone.

The outside looks nice compared to other Extended stays. When first checking in I informed the staff member I would need 2 beds for my mother and I (a pullout couch would due) and that we had been displaced due to a house fire. She stated they had no double beds available and the hotel had no couches. A king bed would be $400+. I walked out unhappy, Sat in my car aggravated and decided to try using a friends travel agent sight. Lo and behold what pops up? A room with a double bed! I reserved it on line and walked back in, when she pulled me up never did she appologiz, all of a sudden she was the friendliest person around which aggravated me. The room was $372.54. The rooms were ok could be remodeled but I have seen worse! One sure negative… This is a extended stay so most customers will be staying for a week at minimum it has a kitchen area but you have to purchase a package for $39 to get pots, pans, cups etc.? why is this? And they don't tell you at check-in there is a little sign on the side wall behind the reception desk.

I stay at many Holiday Inn Express Locations, and this was the nicest studio suite I have stayed in. The space was great, the room open, with high ceilings, and a a large floor to ceiling window. The kitchenette area was a nice touch, and the separate bathroom spaces convenient as well. The location is also close to a whole foods/restaurant district, so that was a bonus. Traffic can get a bit crazy on the main street outside/leading into the hotel, but a little bit of patience waiting for a break in traffic is all you need to merge to the other side. The gym wasn't the most well equipped i've seen, but it was plenty sufficient. The service of the hotel was great as expected of the brand, and overall the experience was fantastic. It made a 4 night stay very pleasant.

It's okay, rooms where big but I question the sanitation. Overall it is remodeled not sure how long ago. There was tons of dust along the baseboards. Toilet paper and hair all over the bathroom ceiling. Scotch tape left from previous guest on crown molding. I let the front desk Brandon know of my concerns he offered me my receipt that was it. Be nice if they had hot coffee and hot water at night ready for guest arriving.

If there was a negative rating I would give it to this hotel. The Holiday Inn ON Fort Jackson is exceptional. There were so many issues with this off post staff however, as well as customer service I don’t know where to begin. I have left several messages just to have some follow up so no other families have to go through what mine did and there has been no follow up, not even a return call and I was charged for a room we never stayed in. STAY AWAY from this facility. Every other Holiday Inn we have ever stayed in has been a great stay but the night clerk should be terminated what she put my family through alone and any supervisor and management is basically ignoring by complaint. I wish I would have recorded in hindsight.

It was really clean. And they gave me early check in on the 5th floor. I enjoyed the stay. There was no real road noise.

Nice place but not a $200 a night place. They Jack the rates up for military families that come into town for graduation. Exploitation at its finest. Also the pool is not heated and there is no hot tub. Rooms are just ok.

12/20/17-Holiday Inn Express on Garners Ferry Road was the best hotel that I ever stayed at can't wait to stay again nice and clean first time ever in a hotel that I ever stayed in and didn't find any hair on my pillows or in the shower breakfast was good for the first time in a hotel that I ever stayed in customer service at the front desk was very good also every time I left and came back I wish I would've gotten the man name at the front desk he asked was everything fine with the room and enjoy my night I never had the customer service at the front desk ask me that before at any hotel's my daughter had a wonderful 14th birthday celebration pool was nice and clean only thing was wrong was no hot tub.

Horrible Horrible Horrible… I was visit g family and stayed at this hotel. When I arrived to my room it smelled of smoke, and because of this I was moved to another room. During the move I left an brand new American Eagle bomber jacket in the room… I hadn’t realized it until a couple of days later and when I did retrace my steps I talked to the front desk I was told that if it was left in room that it would be turned in and put in lost and found. They checked but no jacket… okay now I’m trying to be polite, so I was told that they would contact the housekeeping manager or whatever she is to see if it could have been placed somewhere else and they would contact me. No one DID! Then I kindly returned to the front desk to ask yet again about jacket, this ignorant front desk rep, tells me that the housekeeper on that night would not have taken it she’s been here whatever amount of years, and the she is a foreginoshe doesn’t know what designer is blah blah blah! I’m thinking to myself it’s very possible to take something if you really want it and not get caught. He then proceeds to tell me he would have is manager contact me about the matter, that was a laugh.

Good experience overall. I stayed here while visiting the Conagree National Park, and it's a good location for that and for seeing Columbia. The Pros: Rooms are spacious, clean, have good furniture and plenty of outlets. The beds are comfortable; the bathroom is large and clean; and there's even overhead lighting! Front desk staff was friendly and helpful too. Lots of restaurants nearby, so food options are good. The Cons: The walls are thin, so it's easy to hear your neighbors, especially if they're rambunctious kids. The Internet is pretty slow too. So overall, great stay and a good hotel.

Great 3 day stay with a small Hot tub in the room also microwave refrigerator coffee pot. Wonderful breakfast also.

We traveled to Columbia for a baseball tournament this weekend. We decided to head down the night before so he could get a good night sleep before playing so Before leaving home I booked a room at this hotel. The room I booked and got the confirmation for was with two queen beds, one for myself and one for my 15 year old son. We arrived at 8:30pm and after checking in we headed up to the room. Only to find out that the room had a King size bed and a pull out sofa. OH! … and a DIRTY rag on the night stand. So, we go back down with our bags and I explained to the very nice lady that I was given the wrong room, that I booked a room with queen beds and had the confirmation for it. I also told her about the dirty rag! Well, she states that they double booked the room I was given confirmation for and they "upgraded" me to the King sized room with the sofa bed (which had a extremely thin mattress)! So she also moved me to a different room without a dirty rag. Well, I'm not happy still about this! Instead of my son having a good night sleep in a comfy bed he slept on the pull out sofa, which should not have happened! I was not even told this had happened, not by email or even when I checked in! Extremely disappointed!

The rooms were clean and neat. The service was very pleasing. The staff was very helpful. We will book there if we are ever backing town.

This hotel was over booked, made reservations over phone, and got my confirmation number emailed to me. Drove over 4 hours to this holiday location plus the 9 hours driving away from Florida. Arrived exhausted ready to sleep. I was told my reservation was canceled, all rooms booked and was showed the door out. I asked the clerk Brandon, please may I speak to a manager, he answered… I am the manager. Didn't even make a phone call to another location. I called their booking hotline and they transferred me to customer service, they adviced me Brandon should have given me the WALK through, that means a free night at another location for holiday Inn overbooking. After another hour on the phone Brandon magically finds an open room and charges me anyways minus $20. Not cool. I paid, my legs were jelly by this time. Holiday Inn is an amazing hotel branch. But this independently owned hotel needs more work in the trenches. Night was Sept 9th. 11pm. Reservations made 3:30pm.

The staff was amazing. When we got here we were not sure where to go to find the Post and they had a flyer already waiting for us. Our room was perfect. The breakfast were all great. House keeping was outstanding and very sweet. I would recommend them over and over again.

I have stayed at this hotel for several nights on a few occasions due to my husband being at Fort Jackson for various schools. They have excellent customer service. The laundry facilities work well, the rooms are clean. Housekeeping attendants and breakfast attendants are fantastic and friendly. The rooms have an extra area by the desk that is perfect for the large pack and play for a toddler or baby, which is one of the big reasons I chose this place. Also, and this is a big deal to me, they have gluten free breakfast options sometimes, not always. They had Udis bagels and muffins in sealed packages. I have Celiac disease and this made my morning. Their coffee is also pretty good and available all day. I docked one star because they price gauge based on graduation rates at Fort Jackson. We stayed Monday and it was $100. Tuesday through Thursday it jumped to $160 a night. Family day and graduation at Fort Jackson is Wednesday and Thursday every week.

Nice clean rooms. Hotel is clean. The housekeeping staff is super sweet! Breakfast ladies keep everything full, they are great! The front desk is good at their job and the check out ladies were super sweet and friendly Great area to stay if you are going to Fort Jackson.

I delivered pizza to the hotel. It was very nice. The rooms were very nice, the elevators were smooth, and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing. I would stay there if I were in need of lodging.

This hotel was very clean. Everyone at the hotel was extremely nice. I informed them that I did a check on the room, hats off to the Housekeeping department they were on point with their cleanliness. Brandon at the front desk had eveything set up as he said he would to make check in very smooth and since I arrived at 5am catching that hours sleep was extremely important… thank you Brandon. Only suggestion I have would have a few more breakfast options such as gravey even thru the week and add whole milk. I know its not brand standard but it does not count off on inspection either. If my son ever has to go back to Fort Jackson I know where Im staying.

I was very unhappy. Made reservation for a room with a hot tub. When we arrived we didn't get one. So we talk to them said they would look into it. Never heard back from them.

I am a very easy going hotel guest so I never needed to deal with the staff, however all the staff was friendly and went out of their way to say hello and to ask if anything was needed. The rooms are nice and the room I stayed in had a ceiling fan! This was great to find out as I like sleeping with the fan on that was great. The only downside about the room is the light for the stepdown in the room cannot be turned off. So in the middle of the night the room has a glow to it. Not enough to wake me up but enough to aggravate me while trying to fall asleep. Location is convenient. The breakfast is better than the danish/bagel bar many hotels provide, but the breakfast is really lacking in quality food and choice. Not a deal breaker but I found myself at the waffle house located in the parking lot.

The room was nice for the price. Staff seemed professional but slow in responding to my concerns. I left my wedding band on the nightstand. The next day I called and was told housekeeping would look and get back with me within the hour to let me know if they found it. Of course no one called. I called again and requested to speak to a supervisor. They directed me again to housekeeping and after a few minutes announced that no one had found a ring! I left my ring there and it was stolen! Don't forget your valuables or lock them in the safe.

Bianca and Stacee were very gracious and made many allowances for our Friday evening event and Friday night stay. The quality of the hotel exceeded our guests' expectations. One exit away from Ft. Jackson, close to many good restaurants, and fantastic new rooms. Extremely military friendly and courteous staff. This place is just what I needed.

Hotel is on the nicer side for sure. Breakfast was good. I wish the pillows labeled firm were actually firm. Overall had a pleasant time.

Hotel was nice and very clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was really good. I would definitely stay here again. The only negative was that our smoke alarms were chirping the entire time and no one ever came to fix them after notifying the front desk three times.

The pool was too cold for an indoor environment, it was a very uncomfortable experience trying to entertain our kids. We selected this hotel not only because of the brand but because we expected a better experience in the aquatics facility. We were given a room with a broken remote control that was later replaced after we made a request to the front desk attendant. What hurt us the most was the fact that during the process of receiving a duplicate key we were made aware that our room had been billed for an additional $150.00 pet penalty. I say penalty because we were unaware of the pet policy of the hotel, and instead of giving us an opportunity to remove our puppy, we were immediately charged $150.00. As a business owner myself I understand that customers don't always read the fine print especially when you check into a hotel at 2:30am. As a courtesy we should have been given the opportunity to keep our dog in the hotel and pay the $150.00 or remove the dog immediately if possible. It was very discourtesy for the General Manager (Bianca) to not inform us of our wrong doings but to allow me to find out of this charge on my own creating an atmosphere that most people wouldn't have handled in an admirable manner. We were made aware of the new charge during the process of receiving a duplicate key, at that time we immediately removed our puppy from the hotel, and had him stay at a nearby relatives house.
