Don't be fooled by this place. We got there and there was a pair of pliers to turn on one of the light switches… who does that when they charge so much? Then after we checked out we get an email and call saying we caused damage… over a week after check out. We travel a lot and are very responsible adults and would never misuse anyone's property. We are very offended by this and I encourage you that if you choose to stay here that you document the room prior to accepting responsibility. Its not enough that they charge outrageous prices but then try to stick you with something that, after reviewing the pictures, is absolutely not something that we will accept fault for. The manager said that if they had seen this damage they would not have let anyone reserve the room… but having a pair of pliers to turn on a light switch is acceptable? Be careful and don't be fooled by the "southern charm" because its not authentic. I am disgusted to have someone accuse my wife and I of this. We travel about 6 times a year and always very respectful of being a guest in someone's place of business. Also… you get a $15 breakfast voucher that may get you a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee. The History is not worth the headaches.
