Truly an amazing boutique and experience. The owners and staff are so personable and truly went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. Each morning we started with a wonderful private breakfast on a terrace or in the garden. Every evening they serve complementary wine with a wonderful cheese board. Anything we needed was provided they truly went above and beyond. We will definitely return.

My husband and I spent our 30th Wedding Anniversary at 86 Cannon. It was spectacular! Trust me, you will love the accommodations, the owners are wonderful and you are in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC! I highly recommend staying at 86 Cannon when visiting Charleston!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and fell in love! We loved how quaint and cozy it was while also being so close to King Street! One of our favorite accommodations 86 Cannon offered was the bicycles! We traveled more on bike than car. We can’t wait to visit again for our first year anniversary!

Great experience! I love the break and coffee room! Owners are exceptionally accommodating as well. The location is also superb… off the beaten path but just a few blocks from upper King where the restaurants and nightlife is. Rooms were exceptional! I highly recommend!

We just checked out this morning, and I am already missing the place. My boyfriend and I loved it. One of the best places we have ever stayed. The place was spectacular, everything from the room, breakfast, little details were fabulous. We had the most amazing time here. We travel quite a bit and this was probably the best hotel stay ever. Ever. We stayed two nights at 86 Cannon and a night at their closest competitor Zero George. I can tell you without a shred of doubt that 86 Cannon is superior. This is why… 1. Personal attention. 2. Less rooms 3. Better at the detail 4. The honor bar alone 5. Better outside seating area. Just to name a few. We used the free bikes to roam around the city and the staff was professional and always so helpful. I am still dreaming about the amazing linens and comfy bed. We had the best customer service and I will always recommend 86 Cannon. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I hope you will continue to be very successful without getting too big. I want to come back soon!

Absolutely LOVED our stay! I've never stayed in a hotel I've liked more. It was the perfect combination of historic and modern elegance. The room was very comfortable and beautiful. Breakfast was always delicious. We met a fun couple during the wine and cheese hour and loved sitting out on the piazza and catching the breeze. We rode the complimentary bikes to get ice cream and had a blast. It was easy to walk to dinner and shopping. I wouldn't change anything about our stay! Definitely stay at 86 Cannon!

This may have been the best and most enjoyable hotel experience of my life. Everything was so perfect. I can't point to any one thing that outshone the rest, but there were a number of things that elevated this experience: the wine and cheese board every afternoon, the lovely breakfast every morning, the beauty of the house and its decor (the piazza was a favorite of ours), the loaner bicycles (which we actually never got around to using, but it was great just knowing they were available), the surprise truffles on our doorknob every evening, the fresh flowers in the salon and cafe.

Where to begin? We just checked out of this lovely property after two nights over Memorial Day weekend. When we arrived, we were greeted by name by the host and offered champagne. Our room was on the second floor, a Grand King room. Our room was elegant and comfortable. The house has been impeccably restored. We spent time in all of the common areas, which were just gorgeous. Plenty of time to socialize with other guests, if you want, at the wine and cheese hour and the delicious breakfast room. The hosts were very gracious and we had a great time. The best thing about this inn? Children under 13 are not allowed! It was so nice not to have to deal with someone else's children underfoot!

The owners and staff at 86 Cannon are truly delightful. All were so courteous and engaging, especially Sully and Gus, their sweet dogs. The house is GORGEOUS — beautifully designed with high end furnishings, while maintaining that easy, southern charm you would expect from Charleston — comfortable and inviting. This was my husband and I's first stay at an Inn, and it was perfect. We felt we had enough privacy, but at the same time, there were opportunities to hang with other guests. We hope to come back again soon!

86 Cannon was the most luxurious bed & breakfast we've ever experienced! It was more like a small boutique hotel (aka fancier and cleaner than other B&Bs we've been to) with the intimacy and personality of a B&B. We were greeted by Lori upon our arrival, who was very friendly and personable. She gave us a tour, offered us refreshments, and showed us to our stunning room. The decor style of historic luxury was on point! We stayed on the top floor, which we had to ourselves. The glass enclosed shower with the exposed brick chimney behind it was stunning and unique. 86 Cannon definitely felt true to Charleston architecture and we received five star Southern hospitality during our stay. We were able to learn from owners Marion and Lori about the design of the building and enhanced our knowledge of Charleston history. We were so thankful to have chosen 86 Cannon to stay and would recommend it to anyone! Some other perks we enjoyed included breakfast served from 7-10am with a selection of yogurt, granola, fruit, local biscuits and pastries, quiche, and beverages. Wine and cheeseboards were offered at 5pm daily, which was a fun time to get to know the owners and other guests. There was ample parking on the property, which is rare for this area. The robes and bedding were also very comfortable! Thank you, Lori & Marion!

This is such a wonderful place to stay! My husband and I stayed here for our 22nd anniversary and absolutely loved it! Marion and Lori are wonderful and extremely helpful, letting us know about restaurants and places to see. They have a very nice wine and cheese pairing in the late afternoon and a fantastic continental breakfast in the mornings in the cafe room. The house is decorated perfectly with gorgeous furnishings and attention to detail. The porches are amazing and we sat outside for coffee and cocktails! The beds were comfortable with super soft sheets and pillows. We even loved the boutique shampoo! The property is located in a convenient area, a short walk or bike ride to many places. Hominey Grill is right around the corner and had an amazing brunch. We can’t say enough about our trip here and can’t wait to come back again soon!

I just cannot say enough about this place. We recently had a staycation for our 4th anniversary and it was wonderful! Everything from the location, to the perfectly appointed design elements, to the hand-painted stenciled walls and floors (that all look original), to the wine and cheese and breakfast, to the (clean, well-behaved) pups that greet you when you come in… this place is nothing short of magical! But, the most beautiful part of 86 Cannon is the hosts/owners, Marion and Lori. These two are the cream of the crop and have put all of their love, care, and attention into making every guest feel like royalty. Well done! We'll most certainly be back!

We had an unbelievable stay at 86 Cannon for our 30th anniversary. The owners and staff are fabulous — paying attention to every detail. It is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place. The porches are a great place to relax each morning and evening. We will definitely come back.

My daughter and I had the pleasure of 'residing' at 86 Cannon on the third week it was open. However, we would never have known that had the hosts not shared it. The hospitality shown to us by Marion and Lori made us feel like we were family. It was a quiet week so we had the house mostly to ourselves, but they treated us like they would if the house was full. For example, serving wine and cheese in the afternoon when it was just us. The rooms are beautiful, and the amenities are first rate, but what sold us was Marion and Lori’s attention to detail. The rooms were designed with much thought Whether having breakfast or reading, the rooms were perfectly designed. They spent time sharing with us about Charleston, and asking us about our many adventures. Truthfully, we can’t wait to go back. My only fear will be finding a room once word gets out about this beautiful location.

This is THE best place to stay while in Charleston. The staff and owners are incredible and very helpful! From wine and cheese pairing to chocolates by your door at night, this place has become our favorite place to stay. We will miss this place when we leave!
