First, I will say that it was not my original intention to post this review publicly. However, the website gives me no information to directly contact hotel management at this property or at corporate about this matter. I only hope someone sees it and addresses the issue. We had a great experience during the reservation process and during check in on Saturday evening. The room was nice, the location is great, and the view was really pretty. The bathroom needs some maintenance and updates, but overall, the hotel is very nice. It is within walking distance of the Incline and some interesting things to see and do. We went to the brunch buffet in the hotel and had an outstanding breakfast. Our waitress was new, and she was amazing! Great food and service! I took my daughter to the pool after breakfast. We first got in the hot tub. After a few minutes, we noticed something floating which did not look good. We got out and got in the pool. In the shallow end, I saw similar items at the bottom of the pool. I contacted a staff member who said that they needed to get someone from engineering. A gentleman with gray hair came into the area, and I asked him to check it out. His comment to me was "Well, I can just drain the pool. " I simply asked him to get a net and check the items. He reluctantly went and got a net, fished a few of the items out of the pool and said, 'pool's closed. " Yes, it was feces.

1. It’s $23 to park overnight. 2. The parking garage messed up with charging my card multiple times. 3. Coffee isn’t free, and no free breakfast. They charge you $4 for orange juice PER GLASS. 4. Hot tub doesn’t have jets & isn’t very warm. 5. Rude customer service… but Anne/Anna (not sure what her name was) was VERY helpful and sweet. My stay wasn’t the best, but since we got screwed over so many times with parking, they actually took care of the $23. The rooms were clean and decent. But overall, if you don’t want to waste a fortune on a hotel, don’t stay here. way too overpriced.

Hotel is located by the river with breathtaking views. What elevated the experience were the people. Check-in with “Nate” was fantastic. After I asked for a free upgrade, he was able to accommodate! Check out was fast and easy. We enjoyed our brief stay, and will stay here again next time we are able to fully explore the city of Pittsburgh. Highly recommended!

This is a fine gem — plenty of amenities (e. G. Bar, conference rooms, catered events, swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant, etc. ) The location on the river yields a beautiful view of the city. Its location is near everything — the casino, football stadium, baseball stadium, Mt. Washington overlook, riverboat cruises, "Ducky Tours" in the streets and the river, etc. Makes this a prime location especially if you are from out of town. The entire staff I encountered was professional, courteous, and willing to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. The room was clean, the bed was soft (too soft for me), the desk and mini fridge were clean and odor free. The only problem I had was the room is dated — bathroom doors were warped at the bottom and fraying, fixtures were older and not shiny in pristine condition, bath tub had stains, closet door did not completely shut, the ironing board was old and its cover was a flimsy piece of cloth. Finally, the television channels were not very clear. Aside from these small things, this place is worth coming back!

Visited the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square for a professional work meet up and the venue was very nice! Large conference rooms, multiple rooms, clean and beautiful welcome area. The staff was also very courteous, we had lunch and the food was good and the service was also good.

A lot to see & do. Nice place to spend some time. I went on the Just Ducky Tour. A lot of fun! Learned some things about Pittsburgh I didn't know. Worth the trip for sure. Good thing to do with kids. They will love it!

My company MacDonald & Owen came here for a retreat. These are photos of the awesome view from the balcony. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool and workout areas were great. The staff was very easy to work with. The Sheraton was right on the river next to the dinner cruise. This was my first time in Pittsburgh. I'd happily return.

Great location. Rooms are below average for Sheraton hotels. Staff was welcoming except the male desk clerk. The girls offered two guest checking in late check out at 4. The male offered me 2pm even with Gold status?

The hotel is located in a central area. Steps from downtown, you just have to cross the bridge. Right next to Mt. Washington. It is in station Square that was formerly a railway station and is currently a place where you will find many restaurants which is excellent when you stay in a hotel. The hotel has a Starbucks inside and has several conference rooms on the first and second floor. The room was clean and the little contact I had with the staff was nice.

The hotel was very nice. We arrived late around midnight. It was freezing cold out that night and I had two babies with me. None of the staff members that were standing in the front lobby next to the door came out to help. Some one there phone or chatting with other fellow workers. They have like a bar a few steps away from the entry way which was very nice. Parking is offsite they have a garage across the street you can park once you are done unloading. I felt the staff was not attentive cause it was the two of us woman alone with two small babies unloading our belongings and none of the men offer to help. The beds were little on small size for the double bed room. We had a water which was nice to the only annoying issue was that on the side of the building there’s train track literally right behind the hotel. So every single time the cargo train would come buy you could hear it. So the noise was a little annoying since they pass day and night. Other that food and surround shops and restaurant was great.

From check in to check out the staff was helpful and friendly… especially Marie in the Club Lounge. Marie made sure we didn't lift a finger for anything. She made sure my three kids had the drinks, yogurts and treats they enjoyed each night of our stay. The service in the bar and the restaurant was beyond compare and the food and drinks were excellent. Our Suite with gorgeous views of Downtown Pittsburgh was amazing and very comfortable. I highly recommend the Sheraton Statuon Square for any family traveling to Pittsburgh!

Beautiful hotel, great view of the city from our room. The hotel and the room were very clean. Room service was superb. All interactions with employees were very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was very nice and the staff was helpful. We had a great view of the point. The pool area was nice. Parking was easy. Plenty of good restaurants close by, but not many breakfast option.

Awesome experience. I did not want to leave after staying 2 nights. Valet available to transfer bags, registration very helpful, amazing room view of the city priceless, breakfast buffet tasty, dining open until late, and a bar. Brenda their hostess greeted us every morning with a smile and kind words. Every person was kind and happy with their work, it showed in their interactions. With guests. There is a gift shop and a Starbucks on site, a pool and exercise room. We were there for a conference. When we return to Pittsburgh again we will stay at the Sheraton again, clean rooms, comfy bed and pillows. You can't go wrong here.

Rooms are comfortable, we had no issues with any of the basics you expect from a Sheraton. We were there in January with close to 0 degree temps and snow and they managed just fine. Our kids loved the indoor pool. It's close to downtown and some local restaurants. The service was helpful, courteous and prompt. Overall, worth the price.

This hotel is beautiful and my room was very comfy. The weather was terrible so I ordered room service. It was tasty and arrived quickly! The staff were friendly and helpful. A great experience!

At Check in after a long journey from Australia Sonya at the front desk made me feel welcome and gave me an awesome room with a great River view. Great staff and so close to good restaurants and Mt Washington. Right on the river there us a Clipper just outside the hotel. Loving it. Thank you…

Nice base of operations while in the steel city. Decent to good places to eat and drink within walking distance. The South Side shopping area is awesome and less than a 2 mile drive. Less expensive options for breakfast within walking distance or take a short ride on the incline to the food and drink spots on Mt. Washington. Ducky boat tours and riverboat tours available next to the hotel on a seasonal basis.

Unacceptable ceiling paint condition, paint chips were at all over the place. Other than that, great customer service. Pretty quick room service. Comfy nd clean beds, hygiene washrooms. River view room is pretty cool during night especially. Proximity to the locations is the best advantage, lots of parking space obviously not free.

I was at the Merton Center annual award dinner. Hundreds people attended and gave generously. Dinner was vegetarian and delicious. Good place for a large crowd! Go there!

Emily was wonderful. I asked for the romantic package the night of Light up Night 2017. The start of the holiday season and shopping for the city of Pittsburgh. She delivered great accommodations. So fun. Thanks.

There a little pricey for what you get. Standard room with riverside view. Room service is fast. Beds are comfy. Every one was nice. Attempted to use the shuttle service to go out for dinner. But they would take me a restaurant said it was too far away even though Google said it was 1.4 mi away. So there was that and the prices in the gift shop where outrageous. 30 dollars for the base to a cell phone charger. $16 For a pack of cigarettes. $5 For the smallest 8oz red bull can. Just ridiculous.

I liked the entrance room and the bathrooms were large and clean.

Great location near everything! Wonderful restaurant inside with an awesome staff. Within walking distance of several venues or a short car or boat ride. I look forward to the next visit.

She didn't even asked how my stay was nor said a simple thank you. If you don't really care about bad service, here are other examples: — stayed there for 3 nights and they never managed to clean my room properly (didn't make the bed the 1st night, didn't add toiled paper nor extra pods for the coffee machine the 2nd night) … oh, that didn't really matter because the coffee machine wasn't working properly anyway. — the walls and doors are so badly isolated, we were woken up in the middle of the night more than once. Not to mention I could ear everything my neighbour was playing on the radio. I was lucky here, they had good musical tastes. I do not usually leave bad reviews without 1st talking to the business providing the service, but the staff was so unfriendly, I choose not to waste their time… they didn't care anyway. I have been treated better at much cheaper hotels and will never return at this Sheraton and am seriously considering not going to a Sheraton ever again.

Was here for a wedding and everything was fantastic food was great, hotel was clean and very nice. Great view of the city from the lobby. Haven't stayed here, but based off the lobby and how nice everything was, I'm sure a stay here would be great.

Great hotel. Excellent for conferences with lots of amenities. The room and bathroom were clean and nice, only gripe is there are no microwaves in the rooms. However, I love their green policy of forgoing housekeeping for shopping credits or points. Highly recommend due to their proximity to great restaurants and the city ferry.

Although I enjoyed my time here because it's location is prime and the company was grand, the staff here is extremely rude. You would think that a place of hospitality would be hospitable, but it's impossible to ask the front desk a question without them replying back in an unprofessional manner as if they were trying to start an argument. We had several rooms in this hotel for an event, and almost everyone had mentioned the lack of professionalism front desk had due to a personal occurrence and/or remark. Other staff members were nice, but front desk in particular needs to at least pretend that they don't hate their jobs. I would only recommend this place to those like a side order of overly exaggerated eye rolls with every dollar you spend.

We stayed for 2 nights in adjoining rooms. Front desk staff was very friendly. In fact, all of the staff members were excellent. We used the shuttle several times and loved that service. Rooms were pretty clean. Great location and views of Pittsburgh. Will definitely stay here again.

Stopped in for a drink at the bar just this past weekend. I have also stayed here before a couple years back when visiting a friend. The hotel is very nice and the staff are always a pleasure as well. It's located right at station square next to all kinds of restaurants and shops. An overall great hotel in a great location!

Used their conference room to attend a wedding reception, and the place was great. Staff there were very attentive, and bartenders knew what they were doing. The main lobby bartender not as much. The view blog the city is great, and walking around station square at night is always fun. I would recommend this location.

Needs updating. The pool and hot tub are in sad shape. They needed replacing cement falling off, paint peeling. Our room 525 was damp and everything felt wet. The Starbucks in the lobby was good, staff was nice and helpful. The food was pretty good. The view across to Pittsburgh was spectacular.

Stayed at the Sheraton for one night. The room was HUGE! The bed was very comfortable. The only qualms I had was that the shower curtain smelled very strongly of mildew. Other than that our stay was great. Employees were very helpful and knowledgeable.

It was a beautiful wedding. The area was spacious and had a great view. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was great.

The hotel was clean and organized the staff was very friendly and helpful our room was huge and very clean and neat the food and drinks at the bar were great the food was phenomenal and the service was prompt the staff was very helpful when we were booking as well they helped us get a great deal on our room!

One night stay after the Pens game. There was a free shuttle from the hotel to the arena. The hotel was easy to reach from the arena by taking the T. Lots of bars within walking distance. Service was fine, and the hotel room was tidy and comfortably fit 6. Slept on the floor so can't comment on much else.

I have a very mixed experience at this hotel. The good: the hotel itself is very nice, it looks a bit old on the outside but inside is nice. One of the better Sheratons I have been to. They also value me as a Platinum member. The service people are friendly and helpful. Now the bad: who thought it would be a great idea to place a hotel literally 5 feet away from an active train track? And this is not one of those passenger track, it's for freight. So every train is like 100 cars and when they pass, it's like an earthquake, even though I am on the 12th floor. This gets extremely annoying at night when you try to sleep. Another bad, the in room thermostat, the huge bright blue screen that can't be turned off at night. This thing is so bright at night it's like you forgot to turn off the room lights. Ridiculous. Overall I would recommend this hotel, but not the on the train track side and fix the thermostat please.

I attended a conference at the Sheraton, and it was a very good experience! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was a great location. We were within walking distance of several restaurants, and we had a great view of the city.

Rooms are very nice, roomy, and comfortable beds. Woman at check in was so helpful with tips on parking and which elevators work faster! … bypassed a line of 50 people waiting to go up & got right on the next seperate elevator. Centrally located to restaurants, attractions & walking distance to the city. Starbucks++++

The location was definitely good. The conference room could have been set up slightly better. We were all packed in with way too many chairs around round tables trying to look at the front of the room. If they were straight tables, it would have been so much better. Other than that, the only complaint I have is that the second floor had meeting spaces, but they all had an overwhelming smell of chlorine.

Beautiful spot, close to alot of activities and bars. Just a little pricy for the food and drinks at the hotel.

The Sheraton was a very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and the staff was excellent. The location was perfect. Only complaint I have is that the parking fees are ridiculous. We had 2 vehicles and had to pay $21 per vehicle overnight.

Just stopped in to pick up some friends for a night out in town. Everyone was so friendly.

Was there for a wedding reception. Probably the best food and service we've ever had at a wedding. Very attentive staff, food was cooked well and served hot.

Great place. Parking is pricy. They gave me a $5.00 voucher to use at the restaurant on the ground floor since I opted not to have my room cleaned one day. The breakfast was great and the service in the restaurant was awesome. I would recommend. The downside is that parking at the hotel lot costs 23.00 per day. It's right on the water too.

We spent our wedding night there, and the Sheraton provided complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! The hotel staff were lovely and really helped create a magic ending to story book day. Thank you to all the staff and Eva at the front desk! P. S. The location of the hotel was perfect for our weekend in Pittsburgh. It was very easy to get to. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. A perfect place to stay for a trip to Pittsburgh.

When we stayed there, the lobby was clean, the desk clerks were very curtious and helpful. The only thing that was bothersome was yhe one elevator in the main lobby was out. For as many floors that are there to have one elevator out is horrible. They gym was very nice. A lot of options, but only a couple of treadmills. The pool was clean, and locker room was impressive with a sauna in the changing room. The room we stayed in had a king size bed. The decor was very modern with a lot of updates. Sleeping on the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. It was so comfortable, and it was one of the best night's sleep I've had at a hotel. Check out was at 12, which was perfect. Many places want you out by 11, or housekeeping is disturbing an hour before checkout. Great location, and a lot to do in the area. Within walking distance to downtown, bike and walking trails, and a mall right there too. Great veiw of the city from our room. Loved the privacy and coziness of the room. Refrigerators are available, if you need one too! I would stay there again. I highly recommend it!

The employees at the front desk and room service are very nice and welcoming. The location is fairly convenient, a few minutes walk across a bridge to downtown, but they also have a free shuttle service that will take you anywhere you want within 3 miles. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are kind of pricey and as far as I can tell there is no free breakfast.

The hotel rooms themselves were fine, though nothing special. I found the hotel restaurant very hit or miss. I came for a conference, and while they were very busy, we waited for 20 minutes for a waiter to get our payment to process it, then flagged one down. And then another 20 minutes later had to send another in search of our cards! There was also only one working elevator that went above floor 9, and the resulting wait time was very long to go up or down from my room on the 14th floor.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Pittsburgh while in town for a Pittsburgh Pirates game. I had a wonderful stay, and our room had a great view. Very nice workers, very clean rooms and fitness area and a great location. Our room had THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, allowing myself as well as my boyfriend one of the best nights of sleep we've ever had. The only downside would be the $21 for parking, but it was a secure lot and you're in the city so what can you expect. Not to mention we booked through Priceline, so we got a great deal on the room. Now I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but I was so pleased with my service here I just had to. The best part of my stay actually happened after checking out. When we were nearly home, when I realized I was missing my jewelry, (over $1000 worth). After frantically searching everywhere I realized I must have left it in the hotel room. It actually blended into the granite countertop in the bathroom. I called at about 7 pm so the head of lost and found was already out for the night, and since it was such an expensive item it wouldn't be logged, after calling the next day they had thankfully found it, and are currently mailing it back to me. I am so grateful to the staff, especially housekeeping for returning my belongings.

My room was missing pressing iron. Call front desk and discovered that staff is very polite but useless, They apologized, promised to send somebody but did absolutely nothing. After 40 minutes and 2 calls nobody came and nothing happened. Came to front desk in person — they apologized for inconvenience and did nothing again. Very polite people… I had a non-functional iron in Delta hotel couple years back, they got a replacement in 5 minutes.

This place definitely deserves more stars after the renovations it went through. It's an amazing hotel and the bartender Kevin was a great guy to be served by. The beds were amazing, the food was good, and the service was friendly. Overall a great experience!

The Sheraton is in s great location with restaurants and city tour nearby. Also, the Monongahela Incline is a five min walk. They have a shuttle bus that will take you to many of the touristy area of downtown and the driver had lots of suggestions for us during our stay. The rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. We only at at the restaurant at the hotel once and it was not great (typical hotel fare). Overall, I think that this hotel enhanced our stay in Pittsburgh.

This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Pittsburgh. I really appreciated their free shuttle service to the local restaurants and shops. The concierge was also very friendly. Our girls loved splashing around in the big indoor pool. I will stay their again when we return.

My husband and myself stayed here on 2-20-15 for our 6th anniversary, and went to see the Phantom of the Opera. We got a room with a view, and when they heard it was our anniversary, they upgraded our room to the King Parlor Suite for free, and gave us the club benefits free also. EVERYONE who works at this Sheraton was very kind, and helped make our anniversary very special! Will definitely stay here again :D thanks so much :).

We have a love-hate relationship with this place. On the plus side: we've always found people friendly and nice. The rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds and pillows, spacious bathrooms, and sparklingly clean. Occasionally you can get some good deals on Priceline. The architecture of the place is nice, with a lovely, tall lobby, nice to sit in and have a meal at the Trackside Restaurant. There's a faux-Starbucks downstairs for breakfast coffee and tea. There's a free shuttle (though you should tip the driver) that will take you to most of the not-too-distant points around the city, like Market Square or Southside or The Strip District. HVAC is relatively quiet—an important point for me. And, it's right next to the two Mount Washington incline railways, one adjacent, the other walking distance (1/2 mile). But then there are these immensely irritating details. For example, the free internet is intentionally slow, so that you'll opt to buy their deluxe package, or else you'll hardly be able to bring up Facebook without a long wait. Parking is expensive, and there is no competition: everything there is garages and lots priced by the city. The TV stations are very restricted: even though Pittsburgh has one of the state's best PBS stations (WQED), it's not available on the TV in your room—so don't count on watching Downton Abbey or Frontline. The top stories are served by two elevators, which are generally crowded when there's a big event.

Great location, newly remodeled. I grew up in the area and occasionally stay at hotels when returning for a visit. The renovations have really brought this hotel up to date. I stay at Starwood properties frequently while on travel for work, and this is the nicest Sheraton I've been to. I remember the hotel being a bit dark and drab years ago, but they have definitely improved.

Had a reasonable experience here. Hotel seemed a little bit dated, and it was right near the train tracks, but it wasn't too bad from the room. The hotel is right by the ferry to Heinz Stadium and several restaurants, so that was a plus. All in all, a relatively pleasant stay, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.

My son and daughter in law were married on 11-8-14 and had their reception at the Sheraton. I admit that I had read some less than flattering reviews of the hotel and was a little concerned but, they were committed to the venue. I can say without any hesitation that it was absolutely the right choice. From the initial business meeting, the food tasting, through to the end of the reception, Allison and the rest of the event staff were professional, personal, friendly and completely attentive to all of our needs and desires. They listened to the bride and grooms ideas and turned them into reality. They delivered everything that was agreed upon and were always flexible in making sure that all of the minor and major details were taken care of. For the reception, the room setup, the food, the dance area and the service was everything that they wanted. All of the pre-reception details were attended to as they made it easy for us to do everything we wanted from the cookie table to the decorations, to the set up of the band and the PA system for the toasts. When we encountered the inevitable minor glitches the staff immediately and directly addressed them and avoided them turning into problems. Their ability to manage things kept us from adding any stress. They even let us extend our time to enjoy an extra few spins on the dance floor. We reserved over 25 rooms for out of town guests. Everyone loved their (newly renovated) rooms.

Great location. Hotel service horrible. Morning breakfast buffet was cold. Server for breakfast ignored us and we ended up paying our tab at the front desk because she was MIA for 20 minutes. Housekeeping only made the bed and never re-stocked the room (no towels, soap, coffee, water, etc. ). Police were called two nights in a row for altercations. Transportation shuttle is $28 per person, or $45 per drop off. Absurd.

I stay at this hotel every year because it hosts a conference that I have to attend for my job, and for me, staying at a bad hotel is preferable to sitting in Pittsburgh traffic twice a day. The only reason to stay at the Sheraton Station Square is the location; no one should ever willingly stay here if there is a more conveniently located hotel. Service is poor, the hallways and rooms smell of mildew, and sometimes housekeeping forgets to clean your room. There's also nothing to eat within easy walking distance unless you enjoy frozen meals made by chain restaurants. I've stayed here for five years in a row. It's always been bad, and it's not getting any better. Avoid it if you can.

They werer undergoing some very nice renovations during our stay but we weren't affected. Our room was very nice after booking through Hotwire and was recently updated. One issue was the air conditioner was not working appropriately, the front desk sent up a technician who determined it would need chraged but preferred to do so when we were not in the room. After notifying the front desk that we were leaving and we also needed a new comforter as it was slightly dirty around the edges, we returned after approximately an hour and nothing had been done. We notified the front desk again and they stated there was a fire sprinkler emergency but would attend to the air conditioner asap. After leaving once again and returning a couple hours later, the air conditioner was fixed but we never received a new comforter. Overall the hotel was nice, not in a great location to downtown but there were some pricey dining options nearby and a nice "boardwalk" style area.
