Love it at Solvang. We are here on a four day weekend (Thursday Night until Monday morning). My son and I love to fish and we have walked to the nearby Standing Stone Creek every day and have had a blast. My wife needed some extended quiet time and Solvang is a beautified place to relax. Also! The breakfasts here are gourmet and almost worth the price by themselves. We love Stephanie and Solvang. We will be back often.

The Inn at Solvang is a lovely retreat for a wonderful getaway. Everything about it is perfection, from the fresh flowers in every room to the hospitality of the innkeeper and her delicious cooking. Every inch is immaculate and beautifully decorated.
A group of friends rented the entire inn to celebrate our vaccination and our return to a semblance of “normalcy”. We couldn’t have chosen a lovelier spot in which to gather less than an hour from home.

Everything about this place is lovely including the Innkeeper. The place itself is a hidden gem and although I only stayed one night, I felt like I was on a far away vacation. The breakfast was one of the highlights and they accommodated to my food allergy with no issues. I can't wait to go back!

We love the Inn at Solvang. We always feel welcomed by Stephanie and Co. The breakfast is always delicious and coffee awesome too. Minutes from our favorite volleyball team (Juniata). Highly recommend you stay here.

Absolutely beautiful place & surroundings. The hospitality was excellent. There were so many beautiful touches that every time you looked around you saw some other wonderful thing that you had not yet noticed. The king bed was super comfy & the sheets were superb. We will definitely be returning. Breakfast was delicious!

The decor of the home has an air of formality, but I could not have felt more relaxed. Stephanie and her crew made me feel as though this home was my own. I stayed in the Crystal Room, which was perfect for a mother-daughter weekend. Stephanie, a local daughter herself, gave some great insight into the history Raystown Lake, and had recommendations for places to eat and park in Huntingdon, which is 10 minutes away. (This is a nice alternative to stay for parents of kiddos checking into or are students at Juniata College, and even Penn State University which is only 30-40 minutes north) This Inn has a lot to offer a single traveler, a couple, and even a larger family. Even though it has a decent Cable TV system, and impressive library of books and DVDs, and an unwavering, easy access Wi-Fi, it's a great place to unplug to get off the grid. Except to go into town for lunch/dinner, I could have not left the premises, and been content. I was charmed by the entire estate, and I can't wait to go back and sit on that swing again. It will call you.

Great romantic getaway, friendly service rural setting.

The rooms are beautiful and well maintained. The grounds allow for a peaceful getaway.

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at The Inn At Solvang Jan 12th thru the 14th. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Stephanie the Innkeeper & staff. There just aren't words. We love them! They made everything so special for us. Flowers. Chocolate covered strawberries. Homemade candies. Chocolate heart shaped brownies. A card! The lovely home provides wine. A wood burning fire in the fireplace such a romantic atmosphere. Breakfast was incredible. Candlelit. Some of the most delicious food we've ever had! Oops I forgot to add beautiful white robes are provided for you. I highly recommend you stay there an experience you'll always treasure! Sincerely John & Laura Haszlauer.

Beautiful bed and breakfast, located close to town!

We had a wonderful experience at the Inn at Solvang, from the friendly and knowledgeable Innkeeper to the luxurious accommodations and the 5-star-quality breakfasts. We hope to return again soon. It was worth the hefty drive from State College.

The Inn and its setting is beautiful. It's always a treat to stay there and get away. Breakfast is nothing you would ever make or do for yourself but everything you would ever want in a decadent indulgence. That's what makes it so special!

Warm, friendly locals who have an intimate knowledge of hospitality are working there, delicious food that even caters to special diets, careful and cautious preservation of Norwegian-American antiques, a beautiful harpsichord, spaciousness, and careful sanitation and laundering after every guest and before the next guest, able to answer every question or at least find the right answer. There is Wi-Fi, television, movies, music, books. Also caters to honeymooners.

My wife and I stayed here for our 35 wedding anniversary, what a wonderful visit. Stephanie was great; she saw to our every need, even giving directions to see beautiful sunsets and some great back roads to cruise on our motorcycle. She took care of some of my dietary restrictions to the point of even modifying breakfasts when needed to accommodate my restrictions. We met the owners of the inn, they are very nice and genuinely wanted to make sure we were happy with our stay, what great hosts! While there we met other guests from as far away as England, California and Florida and some that grew up in downtown Huntingdon. The rooms are great, the grounds are wonderful, all in all it's a terrific place to stay. Thank you Stephanie, we'll definitely be back!

Great meeting place and romantic getaway and exceptional staff.

My daughter and I stayed at the Inn at Solvang in March, 2016, when we were visiting colleges in Pennsylvania, including Juniata. We just loved it! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, even though we arrived a few hours later than we expected. Our room was spacious and clean and lovely — — we stayed in the room on the lower level of the house. The following morning, we were greeted by a delicious home cooked breakfast — — pancakes, fruit, bacon, and coffee. My daughter has a number of allergies which didn't faze the staff at all. If you've traveled with a food allergic person, you know what a huge help this is, to feel like someone understands allergies and isn't inconvenienced by the extra effort to keep your child safe. I wish we could have spent more time exploring the inn and the grounds, it's a beautiful, well kept home. If my daughter ends up going to Juniata, I will be booking my reservations for the next four years here!

Yet another great stay at this beautiful property a couple days ago. The Garden Room is our favorite room at Solvang. The morning yielded another delicious, gourmet breakfast. Wonderful hospitality has always been extended to us and this stay was no exception. Be sure to take a hike on one of the trails — there's a good chance one will see a whitetail deer or 2…

Outstanding staff with great getaway suggestions.

We stayed all weekend. The staff were fantastic. The food was amazing and the rooms were beautiful!

We live close to the Inn and have never had the opportunity to visit. We spent our Anniversary/Valentine's Day at the Inn and it was amazing! So peaceful and beautiful! Stephanie, Joan and the whole staff are wonderful! The food is amazing and the rooms and beautiful! We are planning a visit in the summer at the cabin!

Lovely home with a great and attentive staff!

We love this place. This was our 1st experience staying at a B&B and it will be hard to top this experience. The breakfasts were 5 star. I am gluten free and they cater to dietary restrictions. It was the best gluten free food I have ever eaten. We plan to stay here again when in the area. Wonderful people.

An incredible place with the friendliest people ever running it. The old mansion where the B&B is, is gorgeous. Like others said, it's an incredibly comfortable place to stay. The grounds around the Solvang are impeccable. Inside, they will give you a walk-through and show you where everything is, both in the downstairs sitting and library rooms (and where you can help yourself to the homemade cookies they put out each day. Yum) … And they show you the upstairs area, where the rooms are located, and where the fridge in the office area is where they allow you to grab a cold drink or bag of chips if you happen to need a late night munchie) ~~What a place! Innkeeper Stephanie and her crew are AWESOME! I sure wish I had their recipe for those incredible pancakes! :D I really can't wait to visit again.

This Inn has it all — a lovely location just outside of town with all the beauty of manicured landscaping with access to woods and the deer sightings. The rooms are each unique and comfortable. The public areas stately. The breakfast is 3 course with local ingredients featured. Consider this Inn when you think of a "get away".

We took a trip to tour Juniata College and decided to try the Solvang based on other reviews. The reviews nor the pictures did the experience justice! It was, by far, one of the best inns/B&B's I have ever experienced. The house is gorgeous with grand white pillars and sweeping porches situated on a beautiful, tranquil parcel of land. Stephanie, the innkeeper, is a fantastic hostess who has a lot of passion for her job which translates into a very welcoming, relaxing experience for her guests. We were treated to cookies upon arrival with a quick tour of the property. Stephanie is very knowledge about the area, attractions, restaurants, and more. The price of the room also includes a three course breakfast (that is locally sourced) served on the original homeowner's china. Also, I was with my 16 year old daughter and she throughly enjoyed our time there. Even though my daughter may not attend Juniata College, I will definitely make the 8 hour drive to stay at the Solvang again when I want a respite from life with amazing scenery, pampering and food.

I've spent many a night at the Inn at Solvang and have had such wonderful breakfast there.
