The hotel itself was okay. It was fairly clean and for the price, I don't want to complain too much. The only really big problem I saw was that around the window there was a ton of mold. I didn't see it when we arrive because it was dark and we were exhausted after a long day, but the next morning when I opened up the curtains, that is what I was greeted with. The shower also wasn't cleaned from the people prior, as there was a twig or something on the shower and it clearly hadn't been washed down. Walls are thin, so you can hear the neighbors and you can also hear the people above you if you have the bottom floor. No one was being loud or crazy, it was just normal noise that people make. If that bothers you, then I don't recommend stay here. Aside from that, the people who own the hotel are very nice, check-in and out was a breeze in the location was convenient. We just needed a place to lay your head for the night and that was what we got. It's along the lines of you get what you pay for.

For all you travelers in this area and looking for a great hotel this is the place. We stayed one night and this place is the best place I have stayed ever. It is remodeled with hard wood floors, beautiful updated furniture and comfortable beds. Close to food and shopping.

Person at desk was very helpful in giving me directions to an all night store so I could get dog food — because I left mine sitting on kitchen table at home.

This is the 3rd year we have stayed there while visiting family. This is the 2nd year that we booked 2 rooms. Last year on the 2nd night our keys didn’t work and lo and behold it happened again this year. They keep saying oh don’t put it near your cell phone which we did not do! We asked for extra towels and were told they didn’t have any. Then in both rooms there were lights that were not working and when we looked the light bulbs had been removed. I need to book another room in August and it will not be there. I am done trying to give them chances. Too bad I can’t give them zero stars.

It was very modern and well kept. We couldn't figure out how to change the channel with the remote. The air conditioner worked but not well. It also leaked water onto the floor. There was a large hole in the wall in the bathroom.

Best thing: there was a refrigerator in the room, and that was really helpful to us. The bed was nice, and the room was clean. Worst thing — — the walls and especially the ceiling was not at all sound-proofed. The amount of noise from outside the room was significant.

Fantastic hotel! At first I was not sure of the Motel 6 hotel when I made my reservation as I typically stay at Holiday inn. But man, I was impressed as it was just like another holiday inn. Clean, best service and most importantly safe! If you ever want to stay here, go for it!

Comfortable overnight stay, room clean and quiet, easy access; Arby's is across parking lot, so didn't have to drive back out for supper!

Everything clean and comfortable. Renovated nicely. Pergo floor is very pet friendly too.

The room was nice and clean. Great value for the price paid. You have 2 choices at the Barkeyville Pa exit and this hotel is the better choice. My only complain is the bed is on a platform and the mattress slides very easily on it. If you try to watch TV and sit and lean against the headboard it slowly pushes the mattress forward away from the headboard. Also no kleenex or shampoo so bring some.

My room smelled like an ash tray. If I was not to tired I would have went downstairs and complained.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and did the job. I am thankful that Motel 6 will accommodate guests with good dogs for no extra charge. One thing that was a bit unsettling was the parking lot. It was not well lit and in the truck parking area was a car with the trunk open and it looked out of place. It made me uneasy and felt the lot was not secure. It was dark when I arrived and the car with the trunk open looked like it had been broken into. In the light of the morning I could see the car with the trunk open had been in a roll over accident. It seems a strange place to leave a crashed car. It looks bad on the Motel 6.

Like the concept of the hardwood floor throughout the room. Quality of towels in the bathroom was significantly lacking, but overall a pleasant stay.

Very nice, updated, clean room at an excellent price. Room had a fridge and a microwave oven. Very strong free Wi-Fi. Friendly attendant imediately got me checked in. The best part — they are pet friendly. It's a perfect spot on my way home in Ohio from Connecticut. Just when I was running out of steam on my drive, it was a welcome break. Would definitely come here again!

The location was perfect for our visit to family in Grove City. We had a great experience from the check-in, cheery and bright lobby to a clean room, comfortable bed and clean, newer bathroom. A great value too!

The clerk was very nice, and checked us in fast. Not many rooms left, so we got a hot tub room for the price of a regular. Too bad we're just here to sleep. Room is very clean and spacious, with a fridge and microwave as well.

Not good hotel for kids or to sleep. Too many loud people coming and going all hours of the night. Strong cigarette smell as well. Was out of hot water and coffee in the morning. Room was newly done and wasn't too bad and the employees are nice. Ok for adults but definitely not for kids.

We had a great experience with this hotel. The room was fresh, new everything. I love the no carpet concept. The room was spacious, super clean and the price was great. We will book here again when we are in the area.

The Barkeyville Motel 6 was clean, the room was in good shape, and there were plenty of areas to walk my dog. The front desk staff was polite and accommodating. It appeared that the motel is undergoing renovations which will likely improve the building and rooms. Overall a nice place for a quick overnight stop.

I was very impressed with the remodel that the motel6 in Barkeyville is in the process of doing. I was impressed with the hardwood flooring concept and brightly painted accent wall. The only thing that might be nice is a rug in between the beds, as the hardwood floor gets a touch chilly.

I have never been to a motel or hotel that didnt have an alarm clock. It was also very drab. The blankets were stained. The walls had yellow spalsh patterns everywhere of which I'm assuming wasnt lemonade.

Very basic rooms. Did not communicate when we called that the room type/rate we wanted was upstairs without an elevator, which is frustrating as I am a wheelchair user.

The carpet was nasty and the the flooring in the bathroom was worn out. I thought this was one of the remodeled ones with vinyl flooring which I prefer. (you know that is clean! ) I was wrong in this one be remodeled. The parking lot was muddy and torn up and the dumpster hadn't been emptied and was needing it like two days prior to our arrival!

Last minute room available. It wasn't the worst I've had but was outdated and dirty. Would only stay here again in a pinch.

I'm sleeping in the bathtub right now : (I woke up feeling itchy, looked over… and saw a bed bug scampering away behind the mattress. I won't sleep tonight. I wish I could write something more positive. UPDATE: The hotel management was very good about the situation and immediately moved us to a different room so they could deal with the bed bugs (which was great). Today I have major swelling/itching/red welts all over my body. Please check your bed as soon as you arrive!

Positives: *The front desk clerk was friendly and efficient. I was only there to sleep and, fortunately, was only in the room four 9 hours. *Room was surprisingly quiet, considering proximity to the highway. *Bed was ok. Not really nice, but OK. *Easy on and off the highway location. Negatives: *Pillows were lumpy. *Blankets on both beds had cigarette burn holes in them. *Room smelled like it had been smoked in, even though a non-smoking room, and staff did the best that the could to cover up the smell. It wasn't awful. Just mildly annoying. *Walls were generally dirty. *Hairs in bathroom around "baseboard" and on one of the towels. *Bathroom light flickering. *Had to hold down toilet handle til flush was completed. *AC unit didn't work all, not even the fan. If my wife had been with me on this trip, I would have never gotten the chance to fill out this review, as we wouldn't have stayed. But because I just wanted to sleep, and had to rush out in the morning, I didn't take the time to mention any of the issues to the staff. So hopefully Motel 6 reads this review and the survey that I took for them. The motel has potential, it just needs a good bit of TLC.

Stay away from this one! Shabby, smelly room… Cigarette holes in the spread, scary old microwave, painfully rough towels & washcloths, no complimentary shampoo or conditioner provided, yellowed pillowcases, and there was a HUGE wet spot by the door (from a leak in the bathroom, maybe? ) that I didn't discover until I took my shoes off at bedtime. I couldn't get out of there fast enough in the morning!

Roach on the wall. First thing we saw when we opened the door to our room. We immediately got a refund and backtracked 30 min drive to a hotel in Grove City. Should have known after the place stank of moldiness and cigarette smoke that it wouldn't be good. There was a trailer full of goats or sheep in the parking lot too (I think? We could only hear their braying).

Wonderful! The people were really nice. The Wi-Fi was free and it worked exceptionally well. No real breakfast, but I was told that when I called. The room was spacious and clean. I spend a lot of time in cheap motels and this one was a treat.

This was the first time that I have stayed at a Motel 6, was surprised at how well maintained the room was for the price. I have stayed in other places where I have paid more for the rooms and was not as nice.

Best Motel 6 I've ever been in. Clean spacious room. Very good for the price. Staff were courteous and friendly. Will definitely return if the occasion arises.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Motel 6. Previous stays in Motel 6 in other cities have only been "meh. " The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, clean carpeting, bathtub, spacious vanity, friendly, helpful staff, refrigerator and microwave in room. Minor issue with the key not working, but would not lower the rating for that. It was WONDERFUL that the window opened (but had a stop for safety). So great — and rare — to get fresh air in a motel room. Best of all, my dog seemed to really like this room (vs at another Motel 6). It was also fairly quiet.
