The buffet was decent but not exceptional. The restaurant was noticeably understaffed, with only one waitress covering most of the dining room on a busy evening. The kitchen also had a hard time keeping the buffet stocked.

Had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was totally empty but the service and food were great. They were out of a lot of things (steaks, crab legs, seafood), but there was plenty on the menu to choose from. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

I stayed here May 2015, and liked the room, and the pub. However in the morning when I went looking for the included breakfast there was no one around. After waiting 40 minutes, I packed and left, and as I was leaving someone came who was apparently the backup for the missing owner. Fast forward to 2016, and I thought I'd try again, but it is impossible to call and speak to anyone. The front desk voice mail was full, so I couldn't even leave a message! What a pity.

It was quite nice. The floors and bathroom are very well fashioned.

Just stayed there for 3 nights. The room is lovely with a comfortable bed and the bathroom was gorgeous and roomy. The staff, when available, was friendly. The problem we had was with the food. The breakfast is the same each day and consists of 1 scrambled egg, 1 piece of bacon and lots of fried potatoes. All were served cold — including a cup of "hot" tea. We ate dinner there and the food then was also cold, including very stiff mashed potatoes which could not be eaten. We had chocolate cake for dessert and it had a piece of waxed paper between the two layers. They did not charge us for the cake. We gave it one more try the next night and had a "pannini". It was the size of a deck of cards, cold and not grilled pannini style. My biggest concern, however, was that there was no front desk to speak of and I don't believe any of the staff stay on the premises over night. The room info says to call the police if you are locked out when the doors are locked at 9 PM each night. So, if you have a need in the middle of the night (towels, toilet paper, safety or health issue) you are on your own! I will never stay there again or recommend it to my friends.

Great venue I'll try it again sometime Hopefully they keep improving.

I loved everything about this place. Will certainly return, and have told others to do so.

Features: Cozily furnished room with large bathroom, friendly staff, excellent pasta and salad, all at a reasonable price! Can't wait to take the family there again next fall.

Just had the worst meal and poor service. Took forever to get seated and there were many empty seats. They are out of 1/2 of the menu. From the time we got there till we got out food was over an hour. The noodles are undercooked. Brought us food we didn't order. I could go on. This place sure isn't what is used to be. We will not be returning.

We had a horrible experience at this "hotel" — from the disgusting overpriced food to the spider-filled, loud room, we are thankful we only stayed there one night.

Although the location is beautiful as a historical monument it needs to stay in the past. My reservation did not work well as the hotel did not have the amenities I saw on their website (I. E. The restaurant menu online although limited for my needs was workable). I was told the menu had been recently changed but when I asked for local establishments that I may go to the staff had no knowledge of their hours of operation ir menu and was unhelpful.

Wonderful independent local hotel! We are so happy we ended up there. It's a great hybrid of hotel and B&B — private rooms with lots of space, charming restored decor, great history, good food, and welcoming hosts! Great deal too! It's an easy exit on/off the turnpike. We'll try to stop back every time we get a chance! Thank you Union Hotel.

Service was ok, but food was absolutely terrible… There were 13 of us and every last person was disgusted with their meal.

John and I had a group of 10 that needed a nice place to eat in Everett on Good Friday at 6:00. We had all came from a viewing and just wanted to sit together, have a good dinner and drinks. We were shocked when we walked in to find the upstairs was all but empty and the server or hostess said that they couldn't seat us! Not just that, but when we said "Well, I guess we can go to Bob Evans. " She seemed relieved and said "are you alright with that? That would be great. " Is it really any wonder that Everett has a tough time keeping a restaurant open? Sad to say, we won't be going back.
And by the way — Bob Evans was more than happy to have a party of 10.

Very nice renovations in a gorgeous historic building. It feels like being in your home bedroom rather than a hotel. All for an incredible price.

Love both the Union and the Bullshead. Great food, good service and great bartender! Always enjoyable going there, and close home too!

Everything about the place was superb, and the breakfast in the morning was the best I can remember, darling little town and a great price…

Room was great, nice wood floors beautiful intimate shower/bath combo. However when I booked I was under the impression that there would be Jacuzzi in the room. No check in clerk. Waited several minutes before we were helped. When we got to the room at 5 PM several hours after the posted 2 PM check in our room wasn't ready. We had to wait over 15 minutes before the maid made our room ready. With this being a bed and breakfast I would think the breakfast would be excellent especially with a restaurant and bar in the hotel. However when we got down for breakfast at the posted 9 am nobody was there and we had to wait several minutes before we were seated. When the food arrived it obviously had been cooked hours in advance and mass produced. The tea and coffee were cold, the orange juice was sour and the eggs, pancakes and bacon was ice cold. I would not recommend coming to this hotel if you want that intimate feel of a b&b. On check out there again was no check in/out clerk and finally after 15 minutes (we were on our way to church) the waitress said to just leave the keys.

The room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous — nice marble and plenty of space to get ready. The included breakfast was 2 pancakes, eggs, and a cup of fruit, with OJ and coffee. Hard to beat for under $100 for two people. We really enjoyed our stay. It's an interesting setup. The hotel check-in process is done by one of the waitresses, which just happened to be the only waitress working when we checked in, so it was a bit slow while she attended to dining/bar customers. The only real issue we had was the hotel has a "curfew" where they lock the front doors. The only way to get in is through the bar downstairs and take the elevator up to your room. It ended up being fine, as we were only out until midnight and the bar was still open. The hotel should state this on their website, and it should be stated on booking sites as well. Overall, it was a really nice room and we would come back if ever in the area again, and keeping in mind the curfew.

The salad was the best salad I have ever eaten. The New York Strip was cooked perfect and the sides were also great! Way better food now than the other times they were open!

Had dinner last night with my husband and his Uncle Carl from Texas. The food was great and after dinner we went down stairs for a drink. The Union is a beautiful place and if you are looking for good food it is nice that you don't have to go far to find it. Hope to make it back out that way a lot more for dinner!

We had excellent food, and service on Sat. Eve. Highly recommend the chicken/bacon ranch on flat bread! The seafood bisque was great, and the "blue moon' draft went down real smooth!

Dinner was excellent! Amazing food at affordable prices. Service was awesome. The king suite is gorgeous and very relaxing.

This place just reopened. I showed up with a party of 5 for their all you can eat breakfast buffet. I have never had such a terrible breakfast. They didn't have anything out to eat. You had to order what you wanted and then they made it. The eggs weren't cooked, the french toast was cold, the pancakes weren't cooked and were as thin as paper, the bacon was burnt to a crisp and the suasage biscuits were cold. They offered juice and coffee on the buffet, but the coffee was empty and half of the juices were empty too. I really wish I was making this all up but this place was terrible. No manager was on site to talk to, but the waitress did give us our "meals" for free. Do not go here for breakfast.
