I honestly wish I could give this place more than a 5 ⭐️ rating because this venue takes the cake. The hosts were accommodating, prompt, kind, and resourceful. When I had a last minute change to the plans — they stepped in and made the event even better than I could have imagined. The Inn at Ragged Edge is the perfect location for any event — meeting or vacation or wedding. The helpfulness and prompt service offered by the hosts is beyond anything I could ever have dreamed of. Absolutely perfect venue. I can’t say kinder words about the staff and hosts. 100% perfect location.

The hospitality of the owners during an event they double booked was absolutely astonishing to say the least. Respect for your guests that pay you goes a long way.

Fantastic historic Inn. Run by Barb and Ken, the most gracious hosts you could ever meet. Very highly recommend this B&B for a great experience.

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our second anniversary. Barb and Ken were amazing hosts and we really enjoyed our time. Breakfast was delicious and the room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

I had such an amazing time here! This place is absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship of this old historic home and the the property is maintained to a level of excellence. I felt very comfortable staying there especially in times like these. Mrs. Barb’s hospitality is like no other accommodating every need we had. I will be back and I can’t wait! 11/10 (P. S. Have you ever heard of someone booking a bed and breakfast in the same town as where they live? That is how good the Inn at Ragged edge is. It is my home away from home (15 minutes away) and I love every second of my stays. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Spacious room and closet space. Whirlpool jet tub and hot water perfect for bubblebaths, comfortable chairs and sofas both in room and around the common areas of the inn for reading, relaxing, board games, business, etc. Delicious breakfast every time. Warm and friendly service. In the summer months one can enjoy a huge wrap around porch, creek and trails on property. In the winter months you can curl up by a fire with a cup of tea or glass of wine. It's a relaxation and rejuvenating stay every time and I can not wait to return!

Awesome owners and full of history! Home is incredibly preserved with all the old woods and decor. It was really a great experience for our first B&B.

This is our 2nd stay at the Inn. We celebrated my bday here a few years back. And our Anniversary this coming Friday. The inn keepers are beyond wonderful and kind. Breakfast amazing! The Christmas decorations are beautiful. The town is sweet and we’re looking forward to the rest and Christmas shopping. A simply wonderful place to come. We can’t say enough about it!

This was our first B&B experience and we were pleasantly surprised. Barb and Ken were perfect hosts and we loved the place. Breakfast was fit for a king every day and the bed was heavenly. We will definitely be back!

The owners are wonderful! The inn itself is magical, there is such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and every room is beautiful. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there is nothing like sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee in the morning. This place is not to be missed!

This B& B was beautiful inside and out… the staff there were extremely nice and I can not wait for the chance to come back again and enjoy the absolute solitude and beauty this place has! Breakfast was great although I had the light breakfast due to early check out but it was delicious. Let's also not forget about the special blend coffee! yum.

My love treated me to a getaway weekend to one of the most charming bed and breakfasts in PA. The moment you enter this place, you feel a comfortable elegance and are welcomed by innkeepers Barb and Ken. The wood work, the decor and the gorgeous piano should all be taken in. And the room… a room that was clearly taken out of the pages of history but had been tastefully decorated with. Modern accents. Breakfast was served promptly and deliciously with quiche and pasties and some of the best coffee we have had. All brought to your table by the innkeepers with a genuine desire to please. Looking from the large picture window overseeing the creek below, you behold a scene that beckons exploration. We look forward to doing so when we return. A definite place to come to…

Beautiful historic inn, great rooms, wonderful owners and staff — a hidden gem!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The owners had the perfect balance of being attentive to our needs & comfort yet allowing us privacy to explore & enjoy quiet on our own even though they were also attending to a wedding party. Breakfast was beyond what I had imagined, a nice variety of delicious food beautifully presented. The mansion is truly a stunning piece of artwork as is all the decor. We also enjoyed a walk around the grounds which includes a stream running through a small forested area and a nice bench to just take it all in. I’m really looking forward to our upcoming visit.

Such a lovely Inn! The room was large and beautifully furnished with a comfortable bed. Great common area room with coffee maker, snacks, games. Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy it all more. Would absolutely return!

We held my daughter’s bridal shower here. Ken could not have been any more gracious. The beauty of the Inn made the shower even more wonderful and special! Thank you!

The inn keepers, Barb and Ken, do a wonderful job of making you feel at home. Our stay was short though we very much enjoyed it. Our room was excellent, with a very comfortable bed and large bath with whirlpool. We had a great time meeting the owners, and the other visitors over breakfast. I realized that the owners love what they do, and work very hard to make sure you're time there is peaceful.

Amazing bed and breakfast! Nice bubble bath and a fancy white robe! Wonderful people run this place and they went out of their way to pick us up from dinner to bring us to the B&B! The house is large and has a lot of character, very cool! Also close to Gettysburg and route 81 which is super convenient! Really happy with my stay here and would definitely come back and stay again.

This B&B was lovely inside and out. We stayed two wonderful days in the Kennedy room which had a delightful view of the grounds. Also, we enjoyed the staff and the delicious breakfasts. Should we require accommodations the next time in Gettysburg we will surely stay here again.

Beautiful old Inn close to or over 100 years old. Decor is very tasteful. Scenery is great for something special… Like my Besties upcoming News Year Eve nuptials.

This place is gorgeous both inside and out. There's a lot of character. My wife's friend had her bridal shower here. I don't know how much anything cost, but it looks really nice inside. I'm not positive, but I think the owner was working, which makes it seem like he's really invested in making things run smoothly. The view out back is glorious: you walk out on to a 30' cliff overlooking a creek and some woods. Just nature. It's very calming.

A beautiful inn with original woodwork and pretty stream running behind it. The back patio overlooking the stream is a great place to relax or get together.

I attended a wedding at the Inn. The house and grounds we're gorgeous and a beautiful place to have a wedding. All of the rooms are large and have their own bathrooms. Everything we could have needed was supplied for us which was fantastic as we didn't have to bring all of our necessities. I had an all around fantastic visit except for the Inn Keeper. They we're ALWAYS around just staring and we constantly felt like we were being rushed to finish up or clean up. Then I finally needed the Inn Keeper for sheets on a pull out bed which they should have supplied in one of the various closets, and they were no where to be found. The venue itself is wonderful but keep the In Keepers in mind when booking a visit.

We attended an event at The Inn at Ragged Edge and were extremely pleased with all aspects of the Inn. The In was clean and beautifully decorated for the Christmas Season!.

Nice place… beautiful old woodwork and tons of character. We were here for a wedding and while it was beautiful, the owners hovered awkwardly the entire time, and didn't even provide basic assistance with cleaning up, etc. While doing so. They were very worried about closing doors quickly to keep heat in, not scratching the floors, etc. Women weren't even allowed to wear heels due to the wood floors. All in all I see the appeal, but I heard a few of the family comment about the staff's behavior so it wasn't just me. Maybe they're better when it's not a large-group function, but they certainly had an uptight vibe about them.

A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts! The breakfasts served in the mornings were amazing! We were close to Gettysburg as well as the Caledonia State Park. Had a very enjoyable stay!

This house and grounds are beautiful! The owners are a great host and hostess. They make you feel at home in their home and are knowledgeable about the rich history of the home. Breakfast is homemade and great with a special blend coffee that the owner came up with.

Unfortunately I was injured due to my stay. The ceilings are very low in some places and I hit my brow on one of the beams (that sticks out over the bed in a couple of the cheap rooms) in the old servants quarters. I had a painful welt and developed a black eye for 2 weeks. Those rooms should not be used for guests 5ft. 8in. And taller and they should have padding on the hazards. In addition in the shower there was a dangerous situation with sharp screws pointing toward the tub. Someone who fell on them or grazed them would sustain potentially serious injuries. It is too bad because this is a nice inn with pleasant guests and hosts but this had to be reported. See pictures.

I very much enjoyed my stay. I wish I could've stayed two nights. The room was lovely and breakfast was simply superb. I'm so glad I found this place!

Traveling entertainer Jenn Snyder is a client of ours who recently stayed here at this great Bed and Breakfast and loved it! The quaint rooms and scenic location were great as was the breakfast in the morning!

The Inn at Ragged Edge is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed! It's a beautiful country inn bed and breakfast. It's like heaven on earth. I can't recommend it enough!

The Inn hosted our large wedding (~125 guests) the weekend of July 15, 2017. About a year ago, we found this property via Airbnb, as we wanted an all-in-one location for our family to stay and the reception to be held. It was the very first property we booked to view and we instantly fell in love. Over the past year Ken and Barb have welcomed us onto the property many weekends to take out family members and our photographer to view the property and were always amazing at helping us plan our dream reception. We rented the entire property for two nights, and three days, and when our ceremony site plans fell through; the Inn was the perfect secondary location to host our entire wedding event. From the rehearsal dinner in the dining room, to the wedding ceremony on the main outdoor stairs, and finally to the reception that spanned the front of the property, Ken and Barb were extremely helpful and allowed us the freedom to create an amazing outdoor event. Every guest that stayed at the Inn fell in love with their rooms and the guests to our wedding fell in love with the property. Ken and Barb even allowed us to host two RVs and a pop up trailer for our travelling guests in the parking area. Each morning our guests were greeted with an amazing home-made breakfast, which even the kids loved! You can tell they really love what they are doing and want each guest to have a great experience. The property itself is beyond amazing.

Beautiful building and grounds; lovely spacious 3rd floor room (the Kennedy Room) — clean, nicely appointed. Looking forward to breakfast and to exploring the grounds. So far, more than just "so good". Will add a final note, tomorrow.

Honeymoon suite was incredible. Can't beat that bathtub. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained, breakfast was perfect and I couldn't think of a better way to start the day. And lastly, the owners Ken and Barb were very nice. Thinking of having my wedding there.

The Inn at Ragged Edge is a fabulous bed-and-breakfast! It's a beautiful home with a rich history. Most of the home is exactly as it was when it was built in 1900. The owners Ken and Barb are wonderful people. They are very friendly and down-to-earth and take good care of their guests. My room was huge, as well as my bathroom, and I had all the privacy I needed. It had a large comfortable front porch with lots of chairs for relaxing. Large trees surround the house and there actually is a river in the back. Looking out the back window the view is just stunning! I slept well and enjoyed my breakfast the next morning talking with Ken and Barb. I was just traveling through but I can't wait to bring my wife here on vacation!

I love this place! Such kind and thoughtful owners set the tone of this beautiful b & b. I slept so well and the breakfast was superb! They went out of their way for my food restrictions. I definitely recommend this place!

The building and honeymoon suite were absolutely beautiful. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcomed.

The owners are doing an amazing job, considering they have been here for about four months. This a restored mansion built by a nineteenth century railroad tycoon. Just as he used to entertain up to 200 guests at a time, the current owners are dedicated to returning the house to its former cultural glory. To this end they have scheduled a world-renowned concert pianist to perform in the house this October. The house is lovely, as are the grounds. Our room (The Kennedy Room) was large, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Our breakfast, French toast (a delightful change from the usual, as it is made from the owner/chef's special recipe) and eggs, was delicious. The Inn is convenient to both Gettysburg and Antietam. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to a return visit.

We love the newly remodeled Inn at Ragged Edge! The owners are so sweet and they have done a fabulous job with the updates and running the Inn. This place should be considered 5 star.
