We had a nice stay. Although it was just over night it was a very accommodating hotel.

Slow to respond to any issues.

I stayed in this hotel two separate nights one week not long ago. The room was very nice along with the price, but the best thing about my choosing this hotel was the young man at the front desk both days. His name was Marcus and he was very courteous and efficient in helping me with a few small problems. It's nice to have someone there who will do their best to help you. My wife and I travel between SC and NYC often, separately and together, and stay in Chambersburg on the way. We will both be staying at Candlewood Suites from now on.

I stay here fairly often. I love the separate bedroom setup and having my own kitchen. This time things weren't quite up to snuff in the cleanliness department, there was a spiderweb on the high ceiling and a black stain in the shower. For some reason I was given the handicap accessible room with the roll in shower which I did not need and the room is located right outside the gazebo where people gather to smoke and chat. It could have been cleaner considering that the price has increased. Also, the hot tub was out of order.

Very clean room. Staff was friendly and very helpful when I asked for directions and activities to do with my son while in town. Within walking distance to several restaurants and even get a 10% off card to use at a couple of the nearby restaurants. They had different items you could borrow to cook with or use in your room. Dishwasher, full fridge, stove, and microwave/oven in the room. My only complaint from the entire trip was maid service never came in and cleaned our room or gave us new towels. I like having new towels and a clean room everyday I feel like that is the upside to traveling and staying to Hotels.

It's a nice hotel. My parents stayed there recently, and the rooms seemed neat and clean. I would suggest it in the future to others.

Nice, quiet and roomy. I loved the small kitchenette. However I think there should be more countertop. I was rested and would come back to this hotel again.

I was attending a conference for the weekend in Shippensburg and opted to stay nearby in Chambersburg at the Candlewood Suites and I’m glad I did. I spent most of my first day at the conference and as a result had to check in late. The customer service I received was awesome…even at the late hour, the clerk was friendly and energetic. The hotel was quiet and my room was a nice size and I slept great. I’ve stayed at one other hotel in the area before and if I had to pick, I’d go with Candlewood if I find myself back there.

Nice place to stay. No free breakfast but then there is a full mini kitchen. After all the name has suite in it.

I Will stay here again. Ben was so nice and warm. (at the front desk) Hot tub was wonderful!

Beautiful room the bed was very comfortable I slept great to bad the pool was down due to the weather busting the pipes.

Understaffed housekeeping and confused front desk staff. Room was only clean where they didn't expect you to look. Key card problems were a nightmare. Very slow Wi-Fi.

Great customer service. Very clean room. We got there at 10:30 pm and walked in to find out they upgraded our room to a very nice suite. We will most definitely be back to Candlewood suites from now on. Perfect in every way.

Comfortable Clean rooms, and wonderful staff members. They even have grills outside with lawn chairs and tables so you can BBQ if you're feeling up to it. This place definitely feels like home. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We are always impressed with Candlewood and often check in very late night/early morning. When we arrived at 2:00 a. M. To find IHG had not reserved our room, the night reception took charge. She gave us a room and sent us off to get some sleep while promising to handle the issue. We woke to find that she was true to her word! Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet and we left feeling like family. We travel the extra miles to reach Candlewood and its worth it.

Great little hotel! Really comfy bed and rooms updated. Not all the amenities but this hotel wasn't my destination. Just where I needed some Zzzzzz.

That bad cleaning service, I have to make the bed daily and take the trash out, it is not wise to rent for more than a day, very bad experience.

The rooms were very clean and completely outfitted for an extended stay. There were small appliances available for loan, a small but well-outfitted fitness center, and a decent pool area. My main complaint about the stay is that the staff did not put our family's rooms near each other, nor on the first floor as requested (and promised) months in advance. This posed some difficulties as my grandfather is mobility impaired and often needs to call for assistance. Other than that, nice area with ample restaurants.

Good service, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a good location. Plenty of food options just next door. Gym was actually pretty impressive. Overall, a good place to spend the night.

We shave stayed here every time we went to NC and the rooms were great and the staff outstanding. I would highly recommend them.

We stayed here for three weeks in December on a business trip. Staff is great, rooms are clean and functionable. Every Wednesday night the hotel gives you dinner and it's very nice. Good washer and dryers as well. It is now January and we are back for a month this time. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Chambersburg. Also many good restaurants right here in the parking lot.

I Had a horrible experience about three hours before booking with CandleWood at another local hotel. After driving all night long and no sleep I was unhappy and decided not to stay the night there due to a very dirty room upon arrival and poor management staff all together. Upon arriving at the Candle Wood Suites the front desk women were MORE than helpful with getting us into a room quickly and making sure we felt right at home! Super friendly and lots of smiling faces! I will never book with another hotel besides this one ever again! Five stars in my book :-) awesome job!

I don't usually comment on reviews but I was pleasantly surprised and felt it warranted the effort. The room has a full kitchen with cook top, full size microwave, sink, and frig, cupboards with dishes, large closet. There were subtle extras such as popcorn in the microwave and twizzlers on the pillow. So far so good. It is walking distance to some restaurants. Very clean. I would recommend.

Room is small considering the cost related. Also their cancellation policy is horrible.

The staff was very helpful in answering all our questions on the area. They made you feel at home. They were very professional, yet down to earth. The room was wonderful. I loved the kitchenette. I would definitely recommend it.

Stayed here one night on points and it's a perfectly nice hotel. On the plus side: very helpful desk staff, reasonably close to the downtown area and to the college, above average bed for this class of hotel, nice linens/towels. On the minus side: not much that I can think of.

First night was GREAT Rony the Desk Clerk was Super Nice Helpful… stayed one night then headed on to TN Came back after our trek to TN, stayed one night, it was awful! The room wasn't really clean, the blankets towels and linens were MOLDY smell and there was broken glass in the eating area. Food crumbs all in the sitting area, I never took out the sofa bed in fear of bugs. The pool room was housed by screaming unattended children (smallest was a 2.5 yr old being watched by his 5 yr old brother) the Jacuzzi was BROWN… with all this horror — I bought bug spray as well as a cleaner so I could sleep — knowing that I was and my child at least somewhat protected from any bugs. I couldnt wait to leave… I am so sorry Rony this had nothing to do with you as you were not on the night I came back, it is housekeeping and how RUDE they are stayed July 2 2015, July 5 2015

The staff here was WONDERFUL! They made me feel right at home! There's nothing quite feeling at home and cozy after a long day on the road. Not to mention a good soak in the hot tub.

I agree, I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. A nice looking new hotel with completely inexperienced staff from housekeeping to management. Staff were rude, unprofessional, and unable to troubleshoot their own mistakes.

From the wonderful reception, to the ultra-easy checkout, my stays (2 nights a week apart) my experience was great. Stunning room, great workout room, fantastic pool, hot tub and a really great staff. I'll stay there whenever I'm in the area.
