Spent our anniversary weekend at the Mansion. Such a beautiful place and atmosphere! All the staff was very attentive and courteous and the breakfast and cocktails were delicious! Highly recommend staying here. Very welcoming and efficiently ran.

Although we did not participate in the murder mystery, we had a phenomenal stay. The Harry Suite is beautiful! The breakfast delicious and the entire staff are passionate about the history of the mansion and the town. I can’t forget Gus, the resident pup is the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. Fantastic time for Murder Mystery Weekend! Not only did we have fun, but we felt like everything was tailored to the guests. The staff became family, including my boy Gus, and we shared so many laughs, that left me shook. I honestly didn't expect to have so much fun!

First Friday at the Harry Packer Mansion was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend the wine tasting education class.

The beautiful individual, absolutely no two are alike, pieces of carved wood around the doorways are amazing. The house is like stepping back in time.

Wow, this place was great. My wife booked us a room here for my birthday and signed us up for their murder mystery weekend. It was so much fun. The food was great and the laughs during the murder mystery rounds were non stop. Also, if you sign up for the murder mystery weekend, you still do have time to explore the town of Jim Thorpe which has lots of shops and restaurants and is within walking distance from the Harry Packer Mansion. Really a great time and highly recommend both the Harry Packer Mansion and the murder mystery experience.

Just came home from a weekend here for our anniversary. The staff, the food, the rooms, the murder game was beyond perfect. Besides myself and husband, there were 7 other couples. “Inspector bob” was beyond funny, accommodating, into the game and generally happy. I’d recommend anyone to stay here! Over dinner, myself and the other couples talked about how awesome the place was and how we all plan to come back again! Thank you for a great weekend!

Great place for a romantic weekend! murder mystery weekend is great. Food is great for guests. The bar is great for a sunset night to watch the sun go down on the front porch.

Not if you don’t enjoy a lot of cursing because the owner did a lot of cursing other than that the murder mystery we was wonderful except him he curses a lot and I really don’t enjoy that.

We had an amazing stay! We can’t express how welcoming everyone was! We loved the town and our total experience will always be remembered. The mansion was beautiful and the owners were so down to earth!

We celebrated our anniversary, the room was very clean and comfortable. The linens we're fresh and pressed. I loved the history and architecture. The home cooked breakfast was tasty and filling. Service was very friendly. Couldn't have asked for more. We enjoyed the small town atmosphere and all of the little shops. Nice place if your looking for a quiet relaxing time.

Must see when in the area. While on vacation we always make it a point to stop in for drinks. Beautiful, historic building, like no other.

We are having a wedding in Jim Thorpe and called the mansion to see what rooms would be available for our guests staying in or near town as Jim Thorpe is small. It was made clear that our guests were not welcome and on the phone, we were treated rudely. Every other hotel or guest house has been extremely helpful. No reason was given.

Usually I'm found at Libations lounge at the mansion on friday night's. Great selection of drinks, really quiet and private. Love this place.

I was dropping a few things off for a bride after her reception. The desk staff was super sweet and escorted me to their room. It was beautiful — like walking back in time — a sitting room, large bedroom, beautiful bathroom. The other guests at the house that night were at a murder mystery night and that sounds like fun. I'm planning on booking a night in the near future.

Beautiful and charming location. My stay lasted a week and was affordable for the level of service and amenities offered. Definitely worth a repeat visit when I return to the area. Pat, Bob, Taylor, and Kristen went above and beyond to make sure that my family was well taken care of. I offered a large gratuity due to their great service upon departure from this great establishment. They politely refused it saying that my happy experience was all the thanks that they needed!

Stumbled upon this great place yesterday while doing a short poconos day trip. What a great little place:) The staff was fun and more than happy to entertain me with "ghost" stories and history of the building. We just stopped and had a drink on the patio that looks out over Jim Thorpe. Great place to take a break and enjoy the scenery and history.

Libations Lounge is an excellent spot off the beaten path. Great service and even better when there's music playing in town and you can hear it as though you were in an ampitheater (a friend said this while we were enjoying mimosa's on the porch). I love the hidden bathroom! :) This is a definite must visit spot if you're from out of town or a local!

This incredible place has so much character, style and class! Lounging on the porch with cocktails or hanging with friends, HP Mansion won't disappoint. The owners are lovely people and make it an experience to remember.

Was really looking forward to our stay after checking out the pictures and reviews… sadly our stay was a real disappointment. Food was poor/had passed it sell by date, our room was extremely uncomfortable, there was no Wi-Fi and the staff were very rude. I think we might have settled for one or two drawbacks, but not this many given the cost of a room. Would avoid!

My two family members, my boyfriend, and I all had a really great time this weekend! The food was outstanding and the rooms were very nice. The house itself is gorgeous. The family that owns the house did a wonderful job with the restoration and upkeep. The murder mystery is fun as well and serves more as a wonderful interactive history lesson about the Packer family. I would definitely recommend this to friends and hope to return in the future.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great (even if you show up late). We didn't do the murder mystery, but still had a wonderful time. It feels like you have stepped into history. Can't wait to go back!

The home is beautifully adorned in period decor and touches. The staff treat you like family, better than family actually. This is a treasure and if you visit the Lehigh Valley tour the mansion and stay! You will be impressed!

Best bed and breakfast, we were for meeting, excellent food, choice of drinks, outside perfect seating for summer, gorgeous view. Love the place will visit again.

We spent our 20th anniversary weekend in Jim Thorpe, and decided to stay at "The Harry"! Pat and Bob were warm and welcoming! The mansion itself is breathtaking (with access to all of the main rooms for guests) and the breakfasts were delicious! What a labor of love to bring back such a gem of a property and bring it back for the delight of the public! The first night, we were the only ones there, so Pat thoughtfully set us up on the porch for breakfast, and brought our food to us. She was also very informative about restaurants and things to do in the area, and my husband and I had an enjoyable chat with Bob our first night there. We also participated in the First Friday Wine Tasting, which was led by a very informative gentlemen — it was a fun and lively affair, complete with sublime "light bites" — perfectly paired with the vintages — being prepared by their talented son Taylor and his friendly and accommodating wife, Kristen. A "murder mystery" weekend was happening at the same time for the other guests, and it sounded like a blast! (definitely a future "to do"). LOVED the Libations Lounge, just wish it was open a bit more because the wine and beer list were amazing. Also, it would be great to provide the wireless password in the rooms. There were a ton of "thoughtful touches" throughout the house. We would absolutely return — and had an amazing time. THANK YOU to Pat, Bob, Taylor and Kristen!

Amazing; Fantastic; Beautiful; Historic; Mesmerizing! These are just a few of the adjectives to describe our stay at the Harry Packer Mansion Inn. The building, furnishings, décor and view are magnificent. It’s like taking a trip back in time to the Victorian age. The interior is stunning and you can feel the history all around you; it’s palpable. The accommodations are top shelf; rooms are clean and linens fresh. The breakfast was most varied and plentiful, and we enjoyed partaking of it on the Italianate veranda with its beautiful view the mountains. The owners took care of our every need and we really felt welcomed and as if we were in our own home. I can’t say enough praises about the place and highly recommend it to anyone. Can wait to go back again!

I was looking for something different to celebrate my Birthday. I wanted a place rich in history, not too far from NYC and somewhere I hadn't been before. A friend suggested Jim Thorpe, PA and as I started my research, I quickly found the Harry Packer Mansion. I was sold instantly. Pat was really great with email, so it was cake to book our rooms. It ended up being a group of 5 of us so we had Gussie's Room on the 2nd floor, Emily's Room & Linderman's Room which are both on the 3rd floor. The rooms were very pretty, spacious and welcoming. Each has an en suite bathroom, with super comfy robes and the beds were very comfortable. I always have issues falling asleep in hotels, especially on the 1st night, but not here! It felt like home, I kinda didn't want to leave at the end of our stay! The Mansion is beautiful and having free range to look at everything was right up our alley. Pat's a great cook so both breakfast's and Dinner Saturday night were fantastic. We didn't spend too much time @ Libations Lounge but it was a beautiful space and Taylor and Kristen were very nice. Inspector Bob runs the Murder Mystery, and really makes it so much fun! We had a great time getting into our characters, he makes it quite easy. I'm not the most extroverted person but I was able to let go and really embrace it. Lots of laughs and a great time over all, with my group and with the other couples.

Fantastic place! What a great experience. I'd never been to Jim Thorpe before and had no idea what a cool little town it is. Great restaurants… the inn keepers at the Harry Packer Mansion recommended the local restaurant Wheel for dinner. Our expectations were blown away! We went white water rafting one day, biking the next. In the afternoon we relaxed and took in the unique shops. The Harry Packer Mansion is a great place to stay. Close to everything but quiet. Offering a great view of the valley, amazing architecture and inviting hospitality I can't say enough good things about the Murder Mystery Mansion! We look forward to visiting again!

We have not had so much fun in years! This mansion covers so many things for people: Bed and Breakfast (the best we've ever stayed at! ) ; Libations Lounge — the best locale for being with friends and sampling some of the best drinks around… or make new friends here! ; don't bother hitting the Asa mansion, come here as the history isn't biased or flavored by packer-groupies! While you're at it, come for the Murder Mystery and experience the best murder mystery (mixed with some fascination local history) on the eastern coast!

This was a phenominal weekend getaway. The family owned and operated B&B consists of 4 people who will go all out for your comfort during your stay. The beds are very comfortable, the food was extremely tasty and the murder mystery kept us guessing the entire time. By the end of the weekend, we felt truly close to the other family's that were involved in the Mystery weekend. I highly recommend a weekend at the Harry Packer Mansion as well as their Bloody Mary and Harry Packer Martini's.

What can be said of the Harry Packer mansion? Simply this: Go there, ASAP! If you're into kick a$$ accommodations; beautiful surroundings from an era gone by; and an incredible staff… go now! Quite possibly my favorite weekend getaway to date.
