We came for our 10yr anniversary.
The view from the room was perfect.
We loved having the sliding door open and just listening to the waves.
Funny, the weather SUCKED, it cleared up in time for us to get ready to leave. Not your fault, just thought it was funny.
The only issue was the extremely hard bed, that may be a deal breaker in coming back (trouble sleeping), But that’s not something you could really fix if we said anything, not like you have nicer beds just laying around. It is something to think about when you replace beds next time.
We were out there for 2 nights and we had a great time. It was a trip with no agenda beyond time together.

The best resort I ever stay. Everything is perfect. Big room with full kitchen, pool and hot tub, shutter services and concierge to help with anything just a text message away.

Beautiful 3 bedroom condos RIGHT on the beach. We stayed on the remodeled side. The beds were comfy but had no comforters. Room service took a long time to bring us toilet paper and towels (2hrs. It also took a really long time to check in. We were told check in was at 3pm. We requested an early check in but our room wasn’t ready until 6pm! We enjoyed the room, so it was worth the wait. The Kids loved the pool area. But they kept it SO hot in there! The heater was on full blast! The restaurant’s food was “okay”. Every entree was very sweet. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We’d like to go back some day.

The only good thing about our stay was the view and location! For what you pay for a room, I would expect better beds and pillows! Not even a pen and paper in the room as well as no comforter on the bed or any extra blankets.

It is an absolutely beautiful resort. What I love about it is all the rooms have balconies and they face the ocean. So you have amazing sunsets every night.

Love the Condo. Hate being on the bottom floor. All day long sounded like the ceiling was going to come down. Kids jumping and running. We went to complain and Desk clerk said nothing they could do during the day. REALLY? They said if it continued in the evening let them know!
For the price you would think they would care!

Everything you need all right on the property… Resturant, food, service was top quality and wonderful… beach views were priceless… pool and kid pool/play area can not be beat… (fabulous place for young ones) friendly staff and clean rooms! Great price for beach front rooms!

This place was absolutely wonderful! the view was gorgeous, they accommodated us on a few hours notice on a Friday night, then when we arrived, upgraded us for free! Everyone was very friendly, the rooms were spacious with all the kitchen amenities including a dishwasher and coffee! The restroom amenities were eco friendly as well which was great.

Had a wonderful stay here for my daughters 4th birthday! Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The room was amazing with a great view! The pool area was great for the kids and adults! We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come again!

The most amazing place to stay with family and friends perfect views and amazing staff.

Gorgeous view and friendly staff! The hotel has easy access to the beach and a cool kids aquatic area for even our littlest adventurers. We opted for a slight upgrade on the top (4th) floor and a quiet room on the end, as we went without our children for a quick get away. The rooms have the minimum necessities-no fluff. It’s a “mature” hotel that begs for updating, but that takes time and money. The beds were ok. If you plan a trip to be out and about, playing at the beach, the rooms aren’t very important anyway. You definitely visit for the view and the beach!

Excellent view of the ocean, suggest a higher floor if you want the best view. First floor gets beach access from your porch. Second floor would be hard to see over the dunes. Third and fourth floor get ocean views. Only downside is no A/C in the rooms. No free breakfast and no room service, but a good bar/lounge.

Excellent room layout, very clean, great kitchen, very helpful staff. The view was AMAZING! Great view of the beach. So gorgeous! Unfortunately, the sound proofing was awful. We had people walking above us until midnight and then people started walking past the front door and the beach glass door at 6am. We could hear conversations outside our doors as if they were in our room. Less than 6 hours of sleep was not what I planned for my vacation. The staff was sorry and didn't charge us when we checked out a day early.

Extravagant view of the ocean, good restaurant. Prices more pricey but the experience is worth every penny. The rooms have a balcony and recommend the bottom floors of you want instant beach access. The beach itself is very wide with lots of shells and room to explore. All the scenery in the area including buildings are fun to look at. The location is good for finding things to do. Overall I hope to return twice a year as a getaway.

Enjoying our stay at driftwood shores with family. There's something for everyone between the ocean-facing balcony, indoor pool and play area, and of course the beach! This trip is our new favourite as a family The 5th star is missing due to later housekeeping than I'm used to in other places and the kitchen could benefit from more dishes so that we're not cleaning/running the dishwasher after every meal. However, they are in the midst of renovating (some of which is very evident and looks awesome! ), so I'm sure these are factors that will soon be remedied.

I started in a king room with a full kitchen. The kitchen was fully stocked. Had I not been attending an event where all my meals were provided, I probably would have used the kitchen. My room had a full view of the beach and a nice private balcony to hang out on. The food provided by the onsite restaurant was very good. The conference center is a little small. There is only one large and one small meeting room. If you are looking for a nice place to stay on the Oregon coast, or a place to host a smallish conference or business event, this could be a good option.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the king size beds w/fully equipped kitchen. After the morning fog lifted around 5:30, the view from our room was spectacular. The timing on the early low tide made it possible to get in a beautiful long walk on the beach. We treated ourselves to a quiet Saturday evening meal at the Surfside restaurant. Even though reservations are required, our wait was short. All the staff at the resort, from the front check-in desk, room service to waiter in the dining room were professional and attentive to any and all of our needs. Considering the 90°'s + temperature in the valley, 63° was heaven.

Customer service is as low as I’ve ever seen. Over charged by $70.00 and was told sorry for the inconvenience. No refund of the over charged amount has or will be given back. Not to mention the three construction guys it took to install new curtains and rods in my room! Drilling holes in a he walls while we are trying to rest? You are on such a budget you can’t take care of guests? Not to mention doing interior upgrades while guest trying to relax? Who the hell would book a room knowing that was going to happen. Absolute joke. Stay down the street and walk to the beach!

Very nice resort along the beach. Beach is about a 200ft walk. Pool, hot tub, and kids play place. Restaurant has good breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean. Not the best soundproofing as you can hear other guests sometimes. Wifi cuts in and out. Verizon service works best on North end of hotel near restaurant and barely at all on South end. Polite housekeeping. Nice view/balcony.

With a view like this hotel offers, what negative things could you say? The standard rooms are quite small. For families I'd recommend a larger room though the standard room was fine for just my husband and I. Ground floor rooms open directly to the back garden, for more privacy select an upper floor balcony room.

Terrible customer service at front desk. Are not helpful at all. Rooms are very ran down. Prices to high for rooms. Restaurant is way to expensive for terrible food. And to top it off the pool is small and there splash pad for kids never works. Will never come back again. I will make to sure get the word out. Do not waste your money here. You would be better off going to the Best Western they are amazing. And also great views.

I haven't been here since 2011 but every time my family and I stayed here it was absolutely awesome. It's definitely one of the best ocean front hotels in Oregon.

I'm a repeat customer and this last time was during their renovation. The room was clean and nice looking, the beach access is nice and maintained, and the service personnel we're kind. My only issue was a safety hazard near the pool that was construction related and quickly resolved after I noted it.

Went to the Driftwood Shores restaurant for lunch. My husband and I were unable to finish a pricey meal. Extremely overcooked bacon, greasy, the bread on the club sandwich fell apart when biting into it, my husbands ranch dressing was chunky and it took a long time to get served. Also, the waitress who been asked to clean a table off for us, sighed as if it was an inconvenience to do so. Ate half the meal, paid and left. Won't be returning. Nice ocean view and the waitress who brought us our food and took our order was pleasant.

Great location. Beach is right there. Easy access for people going to ride to get to good areas. Rooms and pool are amazing. And never had an issue with any of the services.

It was so much fun for my daughter. We were lucky to be on the second floor and loved the pool and hot tub. The sprinkler park was hard for me to turn on and wouldn't stay on for very long… but it looked like they may be working on It with the kid pool? The indoor play area was great but it was hard for my daughter to keep her socks on because they kept getting wet. Tips if you have kids that may "venture" out back to the beach ask to be on an upper level +2. That way they cant just run to the ocean. Bring food, nice kitchen set up, beach toys a must, and enjoy having something to do!

Location, location, lovetion. Great view and pretty balcony, right on the beach. But the rooms were not great, carpet squares for carpet, the deadbolt did not work, and it is incredibly noisy. The sounds of people above and in the hallways are incessant and extremely loud. I would not recommend this place if you like peace and quiet. The location is good though.

I really like this hotel. Excellent views of the ocean and surrounding area. Excellent access to the beach and fantastic restaurant next door. If you have children then this place is a must because there's lots for kids to do.

This place has beautiful views from the balcony. The single queen rooms are really small and don't have much. But the double queen and king rooms are beautiful! The food in the lounge is wonderful. Nice hot moist halibut, creamy coleslaw, soft bread, the clam chowder is homemade and good!

Oh my, room freezing cold. No weatherizing on exit door. Small wall heater. Informed comforters removed because of cost of cleaning. Serious rug stains. Cable connection plug falling from wall. Asked for room change/upgrade denied "you booked through online site not us. " Complained about barking dog right outside room at 4 a. M. Still barking 7 a. M. Went to office and told… oh yes that belongs to someone in a trailer next to us and it keeps happening. They declined to call humane society. Do not order the avocado sandwich … no fresh avocado just a paste. Overall place is run down! What a terrible experience.

Every room has an ocean view! Decor is certainly not modern and some of the construction is shoddy but rooms are clean. Walls are thin and you can easily hear conversations from next door. I'd definitely go again as these don't bother me too much but I can see them bothering others.

Valentine's Day night, empty hotel, and had security (who clearly smokes more than weed) harassing us for smoking in our room. Funny thing is, it was the people above us. I managed a hotel for 4 years, Security should have made SURE it was us before disturbing the room. Pissed me off, pretty much ruined my "romantic" night. We WONT be back and My Bf wouldn't let me rip him a new ass either, so he should consider his self lucky. :) rooms are small and outdated and bed sheets pull off bed. I'll be picking the resort next time.

I love that they have an indoor kids play area. And the pool is very kid friendly. It's RIGHT on the beach. We didn't even have to leave the room and were able to have a view of the sunset! Gorgeous! I get that they have a restaurant, but continental breakfast for at least an hour or two would be nice. We enjoyed our stay and hope to bring the kids next time!

Beautiful setting. Loved the pool and hot tub. All staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely plan to go again soon. Would be perfect place for event or family reunion.

Can't beat the value! Driftwood shores is tucked back away from 101. So what you get is a beautiful view, with clean quiet rooms. The staff is super attentive. And the kids LOVE the pool/play area. Will definitely be back!

It is a hotel near the seaside. The room can see the Pacific Ocean, the front of the window seagulls gathered, and not afraid of people. The house is clean and comfortable.

Very clean and well prepared room! They had everything we needed! The view was amazing! Check in was very easy too. The woman that helped us was very nice. I forgot my lunchbox in the refrigerator after I checked out. I asked the house keeper if she could let me in to get it and she was very quick to help me out! Will be back for sure! Great place to take your family for a week! Beds were subpar, pillows were great though!

Initially we were very happy with our room. The front desk staff were very nice. The views are beautiful! The first floor rooms open onto the beach. We had a kitchen suite. Everything appeared to be clean and in good condition. The conference spaces were okay, but not ideal. A different group was in the other room and the sounds were audible and distracting. There is also intermittent/ no cell service, which seems unusual for a conference center. In the morning, soapy water bubbled out of our kitchen sink (we didn't have any water running). I called the front desk who said they would send maintenance after they arrived. I said it was fine, since we were checking out that day and it stopped while I was calling (and started draining without overfilling onto the floor). She said they had us down for another night, which was weird, but she fixed their records. It was also not possible to own the stove because of the refrigerator door. We figured out that the stove opened if the fridge was also open and both appliances were pushed back as far as possible. It seems like they need to invest in correctly sized appliances or modify the space to fit them… Still, not a bad place to stay. The room was comfortable and the location couldn't be beat.

Somewhat dated rooms, all with amazing views of the oceans. Great pool and play center if you have kids or are into that sort of thing. Good restaurant and bar. Two electric car charging stations is a bonus! They had their hay day some number of years ago but still a nice place to visit the coast.

Rooms were quaint & clean. Single level so easy access & parking in front of your room. Fenved in pet play area. Very nice staff & great rates! I will return to this motel on my future visits.

Low key but GREAT spot for a stay with kids. It has the best spot right on the beach. The view is beautiful! It has good amenities for kids : a playroom and a fun swimming pool (our kid caught a virus there though)

Outstanding 1st floor rooms! Great views right on the pool is great and escpically the hot tub very powerful. Separate pool and impressive play area for kids by there pool. The restaurant we felt was awesome great dining area and fantastic ocean view. Price on rooms very affordable and nice. We always go back.

Every single person I came into contact with, who worked here, was super kind and helpful and always had something cheerful to say and bright smiles. The views here are amazing and I was pleasantly happy to find out that it was relatively quiet even though every single room was booked in the place. My room had a kitchenette and I made a great meal there without feeling grossed out by the kitchen and all the kitchenware within. The walk to the beach is short. The swimming pool and hot tub were super refreshing and I swear I swam in there like 4 times in a matter of 2 days LOL The beach was pristine and most of the people that I talk to that we're heading through the area staying there we're awesome as well but that's just part of the fun at staying at a hotel.

Perfect coast wedding. Wedding planners, catering, decorative services; best we could have ever hoped for. And at the greatest venue! I mean, we blew off 10 confetti cannons, and Elvis officiated. These folks are not only accommodating, but joyous and happy to help you work out your needs. Amazing people! I sincerely recommend this venue! Also, their kitchen slash restaurant quality has drastically improved over the last couple years. It's high quality food.

Full kitchen is nice views are very nice, security acts weird as heck, front staff in the evening is nice but morning staff needs to be more pleasant with a better attitude. Restaurant host is more interested in other wait staff then the customers and is very rude no soft people skills at all. The pool is over chlorinated by a bucket load. Full size washer and dryer are available For $216.00 for the 3rd floor 2 bed room my experience was great up until I went to get breakfast at the restaurant that host has me in a extremely upset mood I left the same review on the restaurant since they are the same owner although different departments.

I am sitting here on my balcony looking out over the most pristine Beach and The incredable Pacific ocean. My room is clean and comfortable, there is an very nice restaurant nearby. This place is darn near perfect. Well if you like being by the ocean it is " perfect". Oh, and did I mention, reasonably priced.

The room was very small, more like a motel 6 and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The view from our room was awesome as was the hot tub and pool.

Over the years we have stayed here numerous times. This weekend my wife and I came up there for a romantic weekend getaway. I made reservations online, and when we arrived Friday night, Gabriel got us checked in very quickly and was very professional. The room was very clean, a little noisy, you can hear everything that happens in the rooms next to you. The next morning we went to breakfast at the restaurant, very nice view and our waitress was very nice, but we had to ask each time we wanted coffee refills and no follow up once we got our meal until she brought our bill. Then we went to pay and we had a $20gift card and put the rest on our credit card, but later realized that our bill was $28 and after using our $20 gift card, we still got charged $18 on our card. We made reservations for dinner for 7pm and got seated right away next to the window, which we had requested, and we ordered drinks and shortly after ordered dinner. My wife ordered a prime cut steak, medium well. We then had to flag down our waiter to get another drink. When we got our dinners my wife's steak was raw in the middle, not even warm, so we had to send it back (first time I have ever seen my wife send anything back in our 31years) so by the time she got her steak back I had already finished my dinner. The waiter (night manager) never once came back to check with my wife to see if her steak was cooked correctly.

Each room has a beautiful view of the ocean and quick walk out to the coast. The swimming pool was really nice, my kids loved it. The actual furnishings and finish in our room felt a little old and worn out which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Nice place to stay.

Great location, but hotel room was not as nice as I'd hoped. Floors creaked, room door was light weight like a passage way door. There was a Wi-Fi access point in our room on the ceiling (which I was happy for because our cell signal was terrible there) which have off a terrible blow glow that lit the entire room. After the sun went down, had no need to turn on any lights, the led on the access point was that bright. Beach access was great so one could overlook the hotel. I attended a wedding reception which was interesting. Staff did a good job working with a small space. The price of the room was about right for a Saturday night at $99. Any more and I'd find other accommodations.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite and loved most everything. We had our daughters wedding in town and we used the suit to allow the bride and her girls time get reading. Plenty of space for 15 plus people. And the house keeping was amazing at helping us prepare for their arrival. Couldn't say how happy we are with them… the views are amazing. A bit updating could be done but it's still a great deal for the price. If I had anything negtive to say it is that I wish we had stayed on the top floor. The cieling is paper then. We didn't sleep to well.

Beautiful 3rd floor view of ocean and sunset. Walk out to beach. Restaurant food was good. Staff very friendly. Large open room for family with two queens and full kitchen. Try to get top floor. If you have walkers above you, you will wake up in the morning like the walking dad. Can hear and feel every footstep going on above you.

When you advertise your restaurant as a fine dining experience, and charge accordingly, I expect much better than I received. The lunch menu was extremely limited with options that included burgers, fries, sandwiches and soup. I came to this restaurant looking for something with a slightly higher standard. I ended up getting a breakfast meal that was sub-par. I ordered a side of bacon as well. For the first time in my life, I returned a dish. The bacon was burnt and not edible. My companion ordered breakfast as well, with her eggs cooked incorrectly. Service was slow and not what I had experienced here on prior visits. I have also never in my life had to hand a stack of dirty dishes to a wait person. They literally stood there waiting until I handed them the stack. I had to ask for a refill on my drink, which should also rarely happen. At one point I heard the manager on duty complaining that the restaurant manager was on vacation. About 10 minutes later the MOD got on a personal call at the hostess station and stayed on for at least 15 minutes. That's okay though, because I know she loves the person she was talking to and that she will see them when she gets off work. I have visited this establishment before and I know that they strive for a higher standard.

We stayed at the Driftwood in September, 2015. Had wonderful stay! Brittany and Whitney were at the front desk and are amazing. The food at the restaurant was excellent. We loved the ocean-view patio and easy access to the beach. Perhaps the room/bathroom could use some updating, but I didn't come to spend my time in the room. The beach was for me! If we are ever in the area again, we will be sure to stay here.

I love it here. My room opens up onto the beach. There is a full kitchen in room and an indoor pool for guests. The only thing I wish it had is a washer and dryer in the room.

I visited family that was staying at Driftwood. The full kitchen was nice. Seeing the ocean was nice. Everything was nice.

It's right on the ocean. The rooms overlooked the beach. Clean and we'll kept rooms. The restraunt is very nice and good food. Staff was helpful and very friendly.

Do not stay at this hotel in a standard room! I booked a night with the romantic package and looked forward to the overnight get away for me and my husband. Upon arrival, we were pleased with the room and the staff was courteous. The private patio and ocean view were perfect. Later that evening, the people in the next room arrived. It sounded like they were in our room with us. All standard rooms have an adjoining door, and the amount of noise from people just having a conversation was unbelievable. We could hear them word for word, not muffled. After a couple of hours, we tried (in vain) to mask the sounds with first the wall-mounted heater/fan blowing for white noise (this drowned out the TV in our room), then we turned our TV volume up and had the fan blowing in our room, — we called the front desk to let them know how intrusive the level of sound was in our room, I was told that all standard rooms are adjoining (I didn't know this at the time I booked the room). The front desk attendant said she would contact the neighbors to let them know they needed to be quieter. At 11:00pm we called the front desk again asking for quiet, or please give us another room. The walls and adjoining door (room 209) must not have any noise reducing properties. The attendant said he would again have security contact the room to ask them to be quiet.

Favorite places to go! My husband is a paralyzed veteran and it is the best place ever for him! The beach is acessiable and the rooms are GREAT for him to get around in! We just wish we could afford to go more often!

Driftwood Shores is a must go if you're staying in the town of Florence. Great beach with easy access, and rooms with an amazing sunset view! The style and amenities are pretty hotelmotel standard and the restaurant definitely is a bit overpriced, but for what Florence has to offer this is the best.

One of my favorite places to visit on our road trip up to Oregon definitely worth Every penny love Driftwood Shores.

The people here were super friendly. The 3 bedroom 2 bath suite was clean, freshly redecorated, and very functional. Great views, great access to the beach, and a wonderful pool/play area. Good bang for the buck.

The only reason they get away with their rates is due to the beach view/access. We were not able to check in until 7. Sure they were understaffed by 1/2 the staff that usually cleans rooms. The lady was actually really nice. However had the same excuse every 1/ 2 hour we checked in. " they are still vacuuming ladies, so sorry". Just tell us the truth. She did give us a $36 discount. That was very nice and made it more tolerable. The room just felt dirty. The tub had pink scum in the built in bathmat. The second day I was there I got athletes foot. Not sure if its from the hotel room, or the beach!? But I have been on the beach in florence a MILLION times and never contracted athletes foot. Also the fire alarm went off every morning at the same time. Unsure if we were supposed to ignore, we would call the front desk. Each time we got the same answer, someone is just burning food again! I think they had a glich in their system. Why would our fire alarm go off from another room. And its a very startling alarm. A voice sounds after a few beeps and goes on about "attention" and such. We never got to listen to the whole thing. So anyways. WOULDNT recommend it. Stay at Silver Surf in Yachats. Cleaner, bigger rooms, smaller complex w/ kitchenettes. Wont be going back here.

Had a nice view of the Pacific from our room. Room was clean. Had a 2 for $13 breakfast the next morning at the restaurant but that turned into $16 when they added a slice of toast we thought was complimentary but cost $3 (not worth it). The restaurant was also understaffed and took a long time to get anything done. Parking lot was fairly full and had to park well away from room (150 yards; not a problem for us but older and less mobile travelers beware). We may return, but will not go out of our way for it.

Our room (top floor) was small, but clean and sufficient, however the next morning when the family next door got up they may as well have been in the same room with us! You could hear their conversation and all the other noise they were making! Not the hotel's fault on this part, but this family was super noisy and even if they had been talking at normal levels we would have heard it! The walls must be super thin. Would not stay there again.

This place was a great find. Stay on the top floor, as the rooms have been completely renovated, and are nicer. We rented 2 adjoining rooms (a single and a double bed room) and the larger room had a full kitchen complete with pots and pans, full size coffee pot, and a dishwasher. Wonderful to drink coffee from a real mug instead of a Styrofoam cup. The smaller room also had a smaller tv, but they were both flat screens. The Wi-Fi was slow, but the business center made up for it a little. The real gem of this spot is the aquatic play area for the kids, which has a wading pool for the kids next to the heated indoor pool, along with other water toys. The pool/spa is open until 10 pm for kids, and midnight for adults, but stay away from the arcade games, as they will take your money, and have calibration issues. The elevators were very slow, but there are several available for use, and the wood floors were fun. All of the rooms have panoramic ocean views, and private balconies to enjoy it from. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Stayed in 418 and 420 on April 23rd, 2014.

The hotel was great. The kitchen was roomy and complete. Nice to have an elevator for upper floors. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The ocean view and access was wonderful and I would not hesitate to stay here again. While Florence is a lovely town, there is not much to do for entertainment in the winter or early spring. No cinema. No shopping. Most of the activities are summer outdoor activities.

My fiance and I booked this room very last minute (had canellation &all other florence hotels were booked) on 7-27-13 it was $199 for 2 queens in room 404 with a beachfront view (whole property has this). Small kitchenette area, large space, awesome beachfront, clean room, really good food at resturant had salmon dinner (cocktails, appetizer and dinners $100 with 25% tip), scampi and shrimp cocktail, friendly lounge bartender waited on us, no reservations 10 min wait. Why I'm giving facility a good? Second night we booked another room after deciding to stay another night (after checkout) and it failed in comparison. Some of this hotel has been updated but not all rooms. 223 had a funky smell, older furnishings, and an add on room to adjoining suite, payed same price so ask for newer rooms. Ended up cancelling, however sierra and bill at the front desk were very helpful and patient. Also great bar called jerry's open till 1 about 2 streets over.
