For a family of four… JUST AMAZING! So much to say about this small motel, wonderful and helpful staff! Heather has been awesome, we called and booked with her, then met her in person while we enjoyed our stay. I’m not sure what people was complaining about in the other reviews, my husband and I are usually very “big” review readers and believers so we took a chance on this place, man are we just blown away how wonderful this place is. Price is great, our view is amazing, everything you could ever want to do is walking distance, hot showers, clean small cozy rooms. We are already planning on coming back to this little piece of heaven! While the other motels around outshine Ocean Front, this little motel has what it counts where it counts!

It's the lowest priced ocean front hotel in Seaside. It's a no-frills place, but the view is incredible, and that's what I come here for. As an added bonus, some of the rooms have partial kitchen, allowing you to cook (mini fridge, stovetop, and microwave). If you want luxury, or say a pool, spa, exercise room, room service, etc, look elsewhere (and open your pocketbook).

Very friendly staff, and right along the beach. But the bed was terrible, the whole room seemed like it needed to be updated for the price paid. Nothing like what was said in reviews I had read or pictures I had seen.

This vould be a really nice hotel with some work… I didnt mind room but really… this could easily be a 5 star hotel with some remodeling.

For a cheap on the beach hotel it works. The staff is friendly. The rooms do need significant renovations but if they did the rates would be much higher. I would recommend to anyone on a budget.

Great location. Good rooms with double beds. Had microwave and fridge as well. We liked it.

Great location (right in front of the beach) and friendly staff but hotel needs to renovate. Parking was disorganized, some one parked in front of our door and almost had us blocked into the room. Bed was not comfortable.

For the price (half what the Shilo charges for an epic view) it's an excellent place! Beds are comfy, it's no frills, but I'm here for the view, not the frills. It's all dated, looks like 1960's retro… but it was worth the money, manager was extremely nice and helpful with things like where to eat, it's right next door to the aquarium. Can't beat it for comfort and price! Can't wait to come back!

Very nice staff. Our room had everything we needed and was comfortable and quiet. Good view from our ocean side second floor room.

Dirty, musty, old uncomfortable bed, no A/C, broken fridge, small towels, paper thin walls! This place has not been maintained or upgraded since the 1970's. Worst motel experience.

Easy access to beach and shops you cant go wrong here really wed have went theree couple times now and will continue to stay with those folks. Was able to have our service dog even though no pets so that was nice. It was no hassle.

I booked a room with 2 beds, a partial ocean view, and non-smoking. I got none of those things. There was no view of the ocean, there was only 1 bed, and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. When I asked for a room with 2 beds, I was told there were no other rooms available. They brought us a roll-away cot, that was so uncomfortable and sagged so badly we moved the thin mattress to the floor. The room not only smelled like cigarettes, there were cigarette butts floating in the toilet bowl and ash on the bathroom sink. There was also pubic hair on the toilet seat and bathroom floor. The heat wasn't on in the room when we arrived, so it was ~40 degrees in there when we arrived. The room warmed up, but we had to blast the heat all night since there were gaps around the door frame and windows that resulted in a stiff, icy breeze inside the hotel room. We were not offered any compensation or discounts when I complained about all of these things. In fact, the woman at the front desk said that it was a non-smoking room, and that it must have been an employee smoking in there! I didn't expect a 5 star hotel, but this beyond awful.

The view was top notch. Unfortunately the room was disgusting. Alcohol bottles hidden in a night stand. Dirty linens. Garbage that was empty but bag needed to be changed. No wash cloths. Might have been a one time thing but that was unacceptable.

We have been coming here for approx 10 years (Valentines & anniversary weekend). It is old but you have a room right on the prom for an affordable price… the only time we stay anywhere else is if all the rooms are booked. This adds to our love of being at Seaside!

After our spontaneous trip to Seaside, Oregon we knew it would be a little difficult to find a great hotel last minute, we also were on a budget. After calling around this place seemed to be okay based on the fact it was just under $100 and it's right on the beach next to the Aquarium. I wish we had paid a little bit more to stay elsewhere and here's why: The first impression wasn't to great, walking into the small lobby there was an awful smell, it smelled like wet dog and it was overpowering. There was a big sign that said "No Pets" so not quite sure what the deal was. The room we were in was on the lower level, again we walked in and the smell of stale cigarettes and some other unknown smell was overpowering. I had a plug in air freshener with me so I ended up plugging that in when we went out to eat which helped a little. All of the furniture and beds are from the 70's it seems and it felt unclean. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and I didn't sleep well at all. I would not recommended this place to anyone unless you literally just don't care about comfort or cleanliness. Based on asking around I think a safer bet would be to just pay an extra $25 to stay elsewhere, again unless you are young and going to be out drinking and spend very little time in the room or trying to get a restful night of sleep. Only positives: on the beach, very nice and accommodating staff and within walking distance to "The hub of Seaside"

Rooms are a little dated but not bad for the overall price.

Great location… wonderful view… just on the ocean… can see ocean directly from the bed… but get an ocean view room!

Very nice room on second floor. Large window overlooking beach and ocean. Convenient to many activities and restaurants. Next door to the Seaside Aquarium. Rooms are older but very clean and well maintained.

The location and view were great! But I've stayed in cleaner places. And someone used my car as an ashtray. But overall it was a very nice place to stay!

Comfortable sea facing condo with a heater, TV s, games, movie CDs and VCRs. Great place to relax.

We found a room here through AirBB. It's easy to get to and right on the walkway/ bike lane next to the ocean and beach. The room was above our expectation for the price. I would rank my experience higher but take a star off for security. My mountain bike was stolen off the locked car rack over night.

Absolutely amazing, I don't even want to leave a review because this place is such a hidden gem, amongst all the corporate hotels in the area. Our window faced the ocean. Breathtaking!

Super friendly management that told us all about the area. They gave us great recommendations. Our room was perfect and allowed us to save a bit of money on food with the kitchenette.

The decor is old. But it's right on the beach with beautiful views right out window. In the morning the shore is the first thing you see. It's got way more character than uniform corporate motels. The staff are friendly and real. If you want luxury, it's not here, but then it's not likely you'll ever really be happy anywhere.

Kind of a run down place. Smelled musky. Couldn't have a better view though!

Pleasant front desk. Lots of rust on the steel structure. Electrical sockets that didn't work. Stiff beds with a great view of the Pacific Ocean.

After a long night looking for a place to stay starting in Eureka Ca. We drove all night and the whole coast was booked the way to Wa. We stopped at over 40 place and call 40 more on the road. We came here and was met with caring staff who helped us as fast as they could. After 24 hours of driving and dealing with rude people for all night it was awesome to find people who really care. Within 30 minutes we had a room and were sleeping. Thank you for all your kindness we are very grateful we stopped.

I stayed at Ocean Front Motel for a week last Christmas. It's not a "fancy" motel but I found it remarkably comfortable and warm. The large wide windows give you a fantastic view of Seaside beach and Tillamook Head and the location of the motel is perfect… close to downtown Seaside but not too close. The woman at the desk was very helpful, not to mention incredibly kind and sweet. On Christmas day when I came back from a long walk on the beach I found a Christmas card from the motel on my table. An hour or so later the woman came to my door and gave me a delicious slice of cake and wished me a Merry Christmas. I thought that was very nice and it made what could have been a rather depressing Christmas a nice one. The girl who cleaned the rooms was beautiful too and had a smile that could brighten anyone's day. Great view, cozy room, ideal location and kind staff… I would give this place 100 stars if it were possible but I guess I'll have to settle with 5. I hope to be back next Christmas!

Awesome view, so relaxing.

We had an amazing stay at the end of Thanksgiving 2014. The room was very clean and comfortable. The management, absolutely excellent! We had an amazing view of the ocean from the HUGE picture window in our ground floor room. There was a little window that opened just above the picture window and I may have fed a beautiful seagull once or twice (and my Husband too). The Motel is just steps away from the beach! If you are looking for an outstanding bargain, excellent customer service, than this is the place for you. If you have any concerns, ask to view the rooms first. Be advised it is not the Ritz! It is simply a sweet little Motel with a killer view of the ocean. We liked it so much and just loved Judy the Manager, that we have scheduled to be there over Christmas for approximately 4 days. The best part of this room as the view of the ocean from the window. Worst parts was the musty old smell. The old 1960 fridge that kept me up all night and the outrageous price for misery. Don't recommend staying there.

Good. The ladies in the office were very friendly. Pretty view at a good price. The bad. The first room we looked at smelled so bad as if someone had peed all over the floor. The sink was dirty and it looked like they hadn't vaccumed. Other. The room has a nice view for the price just bring your own bedding and hand sanitizer.

Great little hotel, cheap and really close to everything.

We rented 4 rooms for us and our family. We always talked to friendly people in the office when we were getting our reservations. Each family loved their room. 2 had single rooms and 2 had 2 bedroom and kitchen. The showers are large and had good water pressure. We got clean towels if we wanted them. it is right on the beach and the view was fantastic. The grandkids had a blast. we will probably do this every few years.

I say "true" because it's not a fancy brand-new hotel, but the whole reason you're there is to enjoy the BEACH and the OCEAN, NOT the HOTEL, right?! So, really, who cares? The view is breathtaking and you can fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The place was MORE than we needed. 2 separate rooms with beds, clean bathroom and a kitchenette to boot! Plus, it was VERY clean. And for the price, I've stayed at worse places not even remotely close to the beach. They give special deals if you reserve a room for at least 3 nights, Sun-Wed, so ASK.
