Great quiet place to relax comfortable rooms an first class service. One of oldest golf course in Oregon I believe? A hop skip an a jump to the beautiful ocean beach. Balcony with a great view of the sunset from dining room table.

We stopped for a couple beers at the restaurant/pub and to get our passport stamps when we were in town. Dawson was very helpful in his beer suggestions when my boyfriend's first choice was out. The pretzel and cheese dip is a fantastic snack.

Can drive onto the beach awesome. Indoor pool fun highest temp in the middle of summer was 68. Very nice. The elk were every where.

Rooms are old and antiquated. But that's part of the charm. The downside is no AC and the rooms get hot as can be on summer days. The staff was great at this place. A surprise for mcmenamins properties. Wish the menu was more diverse. The beach was packed and it was a sunny day. Perfect beach getaway. There are lots of dogs so keep them leashed.

Rustic atmosphere with amazing history that was shared along with our family. The course is stunning, although I didn't get a chance to play. I'll be back soon to play the course and take in some more of what they have to offer. 10/10 would reccomend.

Service was good, atmosphere and food were great. There were two separate events happening while we were there, and I'm sure the staff and experience were great for both. I do think the service in the main area suffered a bit though. The thing I liked the least though was some of the other clientele. I was dressed well enough and can fit in with folks that have money, but I feel like this place is something of a destination golf resort. (Maybe I should've known beforehand.

We would like to update the below review after speaking with the manager Scott. He became aware of what we had been subjected to, apologized and offered to make things right. We very much appreciate the service, understanding, and apologetic approach. Thank you Scott, we'd be happy to join you again because of your personal interaction and betterment of a difficult situation. We checked in to a room that did not have a functioning HVAC. The lights in the fan could not be turned off. We have a toddler, and it was after 11:00 when we had to suggest an alternate room. It was never offered. We are also experiencing car trouble. I notified the front desk of this and requested a late check out. While our toddler was asleep they called multiple times asking us to leave. We requested a place for our belongings since we have no vehicle. We were told there is no such option. We are now literally on the curb with all of our belongings and our small child. Look for compassionate service elsewhere, and avoid this place at all cost.

Fabulous place. Mediocre menu. Great beer. If the food was excellent this place would be awesome. But apparently their business model doesn't support that. I guess they do well enough. That said I'm sure I'll be back anyway.

What a gem of a place to visit. Great beach, easy access, golf if you choose and wonderful food and drink. We have been wanting to stay here but it is always booked. They are adding a new building so maybe can finally book a room. The employees are super nice, they have outside seating with a great view of the golf course. If you want a peaceful retreat this is the place to go.

A mistake was made. I got a free pint out of the deal! Tasty beer. Brimsleys Best is surprisingly good.

Fantastic stay. Only reason im not giving 5 stars was the 8am construction happening next door both mornings. Otherwise amazing stay and place.

What can you really say, it's a McMenamins. Hotel/bar with a rustic/ritzy feel. Damn good food, wide drink choice, great people. Good for a group or as one and yes kid friendly.

My visit was just for a pit stop on a road trip. My friend and I grabbed lunch at the main restaurant, and a couple of drinks. The food was surprisingly great (McMenamins can be known for mediocre food). The property itself is beautiful. The one area they need to improve on is service quality. They seemed understaffed and/or stressed out.

Never a bad meal. Always different beers to try. Just a nice place, both inside and out on the patio.

Stopped by here on the way through. Didn't eat or sleep here but did a tour of the whole place. Looks cleaner than any other mcmenamins I've been to. Beautiful overlooking the golf course. Cool fire pits… Would be nice if it wasn't raining, but this is Oregon. Derp. Will definitely come back when we're hungry next time. Very cool bars downstairs, quaint and a real wood fireplace.

My wife and I were married here and it was truly amazing. From the helpful and courteous staff to the restaurant and beautiful beach golf course. We will definitely be back again. Thank you.

Great Mcmenamins location! It's very cozy inside and all of the drinks and food are delicious! Looks like playing golf there will be super fun!

Dinner and drinks were great. The coast locations seem to have slightly better food for some reason. We love to go to the different locations to fill out or passports, it's definitely worth trying at least once.

Friendly people, as usual for a McMenamins. Warm and inviting, great history with this specific one and staff was knowledgeable. Bar on the bottom floor was fantastic! Drinks are mixed well, service was friendly and engaging. The bar on the main floor was good, except for the lady was a hitting and miss on services but, the food was good. We had the Cajun tots and the Truffle fries. Truffle fries are overrated in my opinion but the dipping sauce that comes with them is the star of that specific side. Cajun tots are awesome. It's a little bit spendy for average prices. The passport activities are fun.

Great space, great atmosphere, great employees. I loved coming here. Everything was above my expectation. Will definitely come again!

This was a fun place to eat. The decor was great, they were able to accommodate our large party with young children and the food was as good as the other McMenamin restaurants. My only complaint was the service as the waiter who served us snapped at us and rolled their eyes a few times. I am assuming it was due to the fact she got stuck with a large party with 6 children.

Fantastic service with a great view of the course! Our server seated and waited on a table of 8 for lunch with great speed and politeness, even venturing so far as to get a sample of soup from the kitchen before one in my party ordered it for sure. Next time I'm visiting the coast I'll be sure to bring more friends back!

Cool hotel in a great location. The room was good sized, the bed was comfy. There are no options for ocean view as a giant condo stands between the hotel and the ocean. It's an old building oozing with charm, but this means it's not very well insulated and can get loud.

I've been here 45 minutes sitting at a tiny table right next to the bar. It took 20 minutes to receive my drink. Finally, I was asked if I wanted food. I've had 2 servers taking my order. Still waiting for my 2nd drink. Next time I'll come at Happy Hour. Paying full price is not recommended.

Beautiful experience! Great history documented with photos throughout, breakfast via room service and it was seriously incredible. If you're a light water the yogurt parfait is a must, if you're a big eater try the breakfast burrito AND the yogurt parfait lol.

I stopped on to the pub for dinner and a drink. The ambiance was nice, had the place too myself for the most part. Food was good, cooked to order, and fast. Drinks were also good. Service was excellent.

We have visited McMenamins twice on two of our most recent vacations. We love the atmosphere: dark and comfortable and sort of reminiscent of an old Irish pub. The food and beer (TRY the stout or the porter) are wonderful — don't let the small menu fool you. The salads are awesome, and do NOT miss out on the pretzel sticks with beer cheese sauce. The pizzas are good, as are the burgers and the cocktail menu is extremely impressive. We will always come back at least once every vacation, it's one of my favorites!

We stopped for dinner while staying on the coast. Lovely place over a golf course. The parking is minimal especially for larger vehicles. The food is standard mcmenamins menu favorites. The service was good but don't go in a hurry.

The staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful with everything. The room was great, cozy and rustic, comfy bed. Overall, we had a wonderful experience there…

We arrived early for check in and our room wasn't ready yet so the concierge suggested we grab a growler from the bar and walk to the beach. The bartender was extremely helpful and actually suggested the Ruby in a can. We got 4 and headed down to the beach to kill an hour. When we came back we got a corner room overlooking the golf course and hills. The staff was exceedingly kind and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this Mcmenamins on the coast!

Awesome experience! After a hotel in Seaside lost our reservation McMenamins saved the day! Great rooms, large and clean. Friendly staff, easy walking distance to the beach. They even went above and beyond to create a great experience for us with a complimentary bottle of wine when they heard about our awful experience at the other hotel in Seaside. We will be back!

Really cool place with a lot of history. The beer was excellent and I loved the Pot Bunker bar downstairs, as well as exploring the property. Plus, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd love to come back sometime for a round of golf or to stay the night.

The dining experience was great. Good food. Excellent waitress. The building itself was very clean. We went to all the floors while searching for the passport stamp clue. I love the design. We will likely visit again and stay the night next time.

Mothers Day Breakfast. Seven people. Very few customers. 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee. It appeared the servers first day. Reached across table. Food was cold, didn't look good. Could have been the cooks first day. Such potential at this location. Very consistent, bad service and food.

Good food like all McMenamins but a little higher priced, perhaps because it is on a golf course. Great view of the golf course from the dining area. Casual but a little more of a formal feel then many McMenamins, again maybe the golf course thing. … Also consider about ten miles up the road is Fort Stevens State Park with weekly bird tours, daily kayak tours, junior ranger sessions in the summer, bike rentals, clamming, beaching, hiking… Connected to Fort Stevens State Park is Historic Fort Stevens museum and gift shop. Although moderate sized, both are very nice. The museum also hosts ticketed truck (army personnel carrier) tours of the military installations.

The atmosphere and settings were perfect. The location was easy to find. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food and beverages excellent. If you get the chance I would highly recommend a visit… you will not be disappointed.

The service was very good. The waitress was very friendly.
