My husband recently stayed at this hotel. His experience was fine, upon arrival he was asked to put a card down for accidentals (we expected this) but later we noticed some charges to his account. I contacted the hotel manager and they explained they made a mistake but due to that mistake we aren't able to be refunded the money for a week. I am very disappointed in this hotel and the bank. The hotel stated there was nothing they could do and the bank stated the hotel set the date for the refund to be deposited. So we were getting two different stories and I'm not saying the hotel is at more fault than the bank I just think it's insane that it takes 10 seconds to take money out but forever to get refunded. I was disappointed with the service I got when I called. The lady I spoke to ended up being the manager when I asked to speak to one. She said it's cleared out of their system and nothing they can do. WRONG… you are in the customer service industry and back in my day you would do whatever you could to please said customer within reason. I was spoke to like it didn't matter. It sure matters when it's your money! The charges didn't come from my husband there were no charges for incidentals… the card never should have been charged by accident. She continued to state "accidents happen" and I am usually understanding to that but when I have to pay over draft fees due to THEIR mistake. It should be their problem. I've never had a bad experience at La Quinta but will NEVER go back as I'm too afraid of this happening again. Just a notice to people to pay attention to their accounts after staying here. Obviously mistakes happen but they don't care to have the business and keep customers returning then I don't care to give them business. The lady was very short and not understanding at all. Very disappointed and they should invest in some staff that will treat their paying customers with respect.
