We drove in from the Houston Texas area and stayed here. Friendly and great place to stay.

This is our 4th visit. 3 years to exchange gifts. The rooms are very clean & comfortable. The handicapped room is spacious with a very large shower. Zero entry. The staff are very kind. We also saw the resident dog Bella again.

Nice nostalgic theme. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

A unique interior with themed rooms, a friendly staff and a quiet environment makes this a great place to stay without the plastic corporate atmoshere of the big hotels and inns make this a good place to stay.

My parents stayed at Happy Days while my mother JoAnn was undergoing radiation treatment for breast cancer. The amazing owners and staff welcomed them with open arms and went over and beyond in supporting her through this difficult time. They were given a discounted rate due to their many stays being for medical reasons. Mom had her last treatment today and was surprised by the staff with flowers, a card and other gifts to congratulate her milestone and she was very moved by such a kind and unexpected gesture. I can’t express the gratitude I have for Happy Days for all they’ve done to support her through such stressful and scary time. Thank you all so much!

Our favorite place to stay when in McAlester. Angel's Diner is in front and Great Balls of Fire Family center in back. Perfect location, friendly staff & fun themed rooms.

Best place to stay in Oklahoma or Texas! If you want an American owned and American ran, this is the place for you. Clean rooms, clean swimming pool for the kids and decent breakfast.

If you are a fan of 50's nostalgia, stay at this little gem. Pics all up and down the hall of Elvis, Lucy, James Dean, Marilyn, Happy Days gang, etc. The room I stayed in was Route 66 themed. The only negative was it had an odd smell, but I have a very sensitive sense of smell so others may not notice. I carry a can of Oust in my car and that helped alleviate the odor. The room was somewhat small, but I was alone and only there for one night and wasn't looking for a suite anyway! It was clean, the staff was friendly and I enjoyed my stay. The lobby is decorated in 50s and 60s motif, chrome stools and tables and there are 45s on every wall. There is a diner (Angel's) with two old cars in front of the hotel and a bowling alley with laser tag, a game room and other activities behind it. I didn't get the opportunity to visit the bowling alley but did grab some biscuits and gravy and a couple of sausage patties at the diner and it was delicious. I wasn't aware at the time I placed my order, but hotel guests get a discount at the diner! MAJOR WIN! For the gamblers, Choctaw casino is right down the street! If I ever find myself in McAlester again and need a place to stay, this will be my go to place!

The staff members treated us very well. I would recommend the hotel to everyone. The rooms are comfortable and have different themes. Our room was the James Dean room. Great place to stay!

Very cool and interesting hotel. Love all the wall decor. A must see place to visit. The bed linens are very soft and the bed super comfy.

I went for an event with a group I belong to. The staff was awesome. The rooms were clean. The waffles in the morning were great too. The only set back is that it doesn't have an elevator.

It was a good hotel. Everything is clean. The pillows were old and not comfortable though. They come and clean and make your bed if you stay more than one night. It was kinda hard to get to the location. I would have a better entrance. The theme of the hotel was Elvis. Those who love him will love this hotel. Your surrounded by him.

Hotel is themed for the 50s and 60s. Rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is right next to a 50s style diner and a bowling/arcade center. Will stay there again if in the area.

Nice theme type rooms and clean place to lay your head. Outdoor pool, reasonable prices and they rent to local people.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Sausage and eggs for the free breakfast would have been nice. Rooms are a little small, but not a deal breaker. Love the atmosphere, just like the name says, everything is 50's and 60's themed. Beatles, happy days, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean are throughout the hotel, the diner next door (which had great prices) and the bowling alley on the other side (Great Balls Of Fire). We had a great time and would stay here again.

This is our regular hotel stop on our twice a year road trip to Chicago. The first time we stopped it was the only port in the storm. Now we know we are going to get a good clean room at a nice price. We've been back a dozen times or so without any issues. You may also enjoy the decor if you are a fan of the 50s.

The room was small and cramped. While the hotel lobby and exterior were clean, the room was not as much found old food in the mini fridge, the sheets looked to be discolored. The shower was nice however they need to get a decent plastic shower curtains. The decor was only saving grace all the fifties inspired photos and pictures were pretty cool.

Great Hotel to stay at when in Mcalester. I stayed in the Queen suite. The rooms were great, the price was great and there was laser tag on the property. What more could you ask for? The diner was good and the bar served good drinks as well. I'll stay here again if I am in the area.

I was excited about the price and all the five star reviews. The room was decent and the decor is cute. You can tell they've really tried, but when we came for breakfast, the only thing to drink is coffee. There was no milk for the cereal and no water to be found anywhere. The vending machine didn't even have water. The ice machine was down. The front desk guy was on the phone (to a potential customer) and would not even look up to his actual customers. You put a phone call on HOLD to answer a simple question, not leave your guests standing at your counter for 10 min. Very disappointing. Although they put us in a new room right away, the first room they gave us was part of the hot water heater flooding. The carpet was soaked and they knew it because the edges of the bedspreads were hiked up to keep from getting wet.

Charming hotel with dinner, lounge, bowling alley & laser tag all on site. They have semi truck parking & are pet friendly. Beds were so comfy! Rooms and hotel was very clean. The staff, however, needs improvement. I wasn't "greeted" when I came to check in, in fact during check in I was 'passed off' to another employee who had just arrived, to finish checking me in. The first person said she was busy trying to figure out her Quick Books. Next, the ice machine would not work, staff said they would get some from the bowling alley and call my room. They never did. Also, I asked if they had Wi-Fi. The employee said they 'thought' the password was **** but when I tried that password it wasn't correct. The hotel is so unique, I suppose I expected the staff to be equally unique. My fault for expecting too much. Overall, this is a very nice hotel for a very affordable rate.

50's themed hotel with Bar / Bowling Alley out back and Diner / Restaurant out front. All places lend itself to an enjoyable stay. No criticisms here, price / value makes the stay that much more enjoyable.

This place was cool. It was super clean! It's outdated feeling but obviously because it's a 50's themed hotel. Didn't FEEL old though and that's important. The price was awesome. When prices are that cheap I usually am skeptical but we are driving through to KC and it was a perfect pitstop and we felt comfortable staying there. Would recommend and stay again if we ever are passing through the area again.

This place is absolutely adorable! The interior is older but it has amazing charm! Older doesn't always mean "trashy" and this is absolutely the case with this place. The price was awesome and the beds were comfortable! The staff were very friendly! Everything is covered in the old classics and it offers a comforting nostalgia. Our room was covered in James Dean memorabilia. The halls are decorated with Elvis, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, and many of the other classics. They offer a modest complimentary breakfast consisting of homemade waffles, bagels, cereal, coffee and juice. If we are ever coming through McAlester again we will be stopping here! We were very pleased with our stay!

As a truck driver my husband and I, we always look forward to coming to this hotel the staff is friendly, pet friendly, and lots of fun at great balls of fire, the food at angels is great, really a cute place.

Staff was super helpful. They provided a pack and play for our baby to sleep in. The room was nice and the AC worked great. The only complaint I had was that the water for the showers wasn't as hot as I like it but it was warm enough. The Continental breakfast was good. We went to the diner nearby and it had good hamburgers and chicken fried steak. All in all I thought it was a good hotel and was a good price.

This place is clean and great, and the style just fantastic. The people are super friendly, the atmosphere is so relaxing, I really love this place. It created a excellence chance to past along history to kids. You have to stay here at least once. If you do, you will want to come back. I know we will. And most of all, cost is so affordable.

Happy Days Hotel is very clean and affordable. Kids stay free with adults. They have a fun atmosphere, great 1950's music themed decor, comfortable beds, a clean, well taken care of pool, and friendly staff. The diner inside the hotel has a continental breakfast with waffles and cereal, but if you chose, the diner next door called Angel's Diner (also 50's themed) has fantastic food. They also do breakfast all day. Their pancakes are huge and taste fantastic! And the best part is that they are both easy to get to and are right off the highway.

Great place the beds were so perfect, rooms are nice and clean and a cold a/c only two problems 1. They should have 4. Pillows per bed. 2. The small toilet, for a child or a very skinny person it's ok, but for a fat person like me, this small toilet just don't work. Beside these two problems very nice place to stay, there is a resturant next door with good food as well.

This is one great place to be very clean customer service is out of this world I would recommend anybody to this hotel a great manager and staff it's a 10 from WOTGRADIO.

We stayed last night, just thankful for a room after traveling. We got the last room. So surprised! Clean, comfortable, friendly folks, breakfast. ADFORDABLE! I have stayed in hotels double what this cost and nowhere as enjoyable! Cute decorations all 50's themed. Yes, I was exhausted, but if I head back this way I'll be sure to stay here again.

Nice, clean place. Not pricey, but comfortable. 50s themed decor throughout. My room was in the adjacent building, but no issues with location. Staff super friendly and very helpful. Ritz-Carlton? No. However, it doesn't have the same cost. But I'd stay here again when I'm in the area!

Love the place! Takes you back to the 50's and 60's. Very clean rooms and decorated in the past just love the place and good price.

The location is great it's not far from everything you need but still far enough out to have silence. The rooms are awesome, they are themed in 50's/60's themed as is the whole hotel. Service was also nice, they helped with everything needed.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. They are fraudulently trying to charge an extra amount of money for something that did not occur. The housekeeping is the person who has made a false statement and housekeeping isn't even what it is supposed to be. Found a big spider on my pillow and I didn't even complain about it to them, the only things done to our room were clean towels were left and the trash was emptied beds were never made and vacuuming was not done either. Bathroom was not cleaned up either. I will make sure that everyone knows what is occurring here with extra charges being made under false pretenses. I am now pursuing with the support of my bank behind me. This isn't the first time I have stayed here and so if I am a smoker why is this the first time I am being charged additional fee? Why did I call twice today and when I asked for names the information was refused to be given apart from a first name? Why is it that the housekeeping reaked of smoke and was consistently outside smoking? Fradulent charges and I did mention to the housekeeping girl on the second phone call was she upset that I didn't tip her? why would I. I had to call and request for her to come and give me fresh towels and take the trash out and she was even barefooted when she showed up at my room for this type of service?

I'm in motels 100 nights per year. Music theme decor (fun), clean, affordable, and attentive. When I asked about the breakfast for the next morning the desk lady guessed I would be leaving before it was scheduled to be set out (6am). She assured me she would have the morning people set up at 5:30 just for me. I ended up checking out at 4:30. As I was getting my receipt, the desk girl asked if I was the guest that they were to set out early breakfast. She quickly ran to the back and brought me some bagels to go… ATTENTIVE! Thanks.

I very much enjoyed the Decour in the setting of the hotel is definitely not your typical hotel that you stay at had a few glitches but the manager was very helpful and took very good care of me and my family thank you so much for your understanding and for make turning it into a positive experience I would definitely recommend this hotel for someone to stay until enjoy also the amenities of the restaurant at front and the arcade in the back which my kids loved.

Our first time to stay here and it was perfect. The people were all so friendly the place is just so amazing and cozy and very welcoming… Complimentary breakfast was the best. Will be our place to stay when visiting. Thank you for the great hospitality…

This hotel is great! I travel for a living and get very tired of the same old "cookie cutter" hotel. Best thing is its not Indian owned! Smells great and the staff is very friendly. Best thing is that you can go to Snap Fitness 24/7 days a week at this hotel. Fitness is a big part of my life so having a REAL GYM is amazing! Stay here and save a buck and be satisfied.

It would you be in your best benefit to find another hotel besides this one. I stayed there for a week and they changed my room 3 times. The staff moved my stuff for me but items of food were missing. Then being a Non-smoker they charged me for smoking in my room because the Maid said it smelled like smoke. Learn from my experience.
