Service was poor. The lady at the front desk was extremely disrespectful, burping loudly and playing on her phone while guests were in the lobby. They offer continental breakfast in the mornings and they didn't serve that because apparently "no one comes to it anyway. " They lock you out of the lobby (which is the only way back to the parking lot from your room) after 10pm leaving the only way for you to get to your car is to exit through a back door into a dark alleyway to walk around the building and then you have to ring a bell to be let back in. 1 star is still too high of a rating.

Worst experience ever! Dirty hotel. Where our room was it looked like a dungeon. We asked before we checked in about the rooms I had my 2 step daughters with me an wanted them to feel safe. They lied to me told me they had flat screens an clean sheets. Sheets where yellow Looking. Trash an dirt everywhere. Sink had holes in it. Tub was disgusting an dirty. I found 2 cockroaches in bathroom. Only reason we stayed is because my step daughters were so sleepy an half asleep. Needless to say the lobby was completely different than how the rest of the hotel looked. I paid 130 with my AAA DISCOUNT but I could’ve went down to the motel an paid less for better. Not to mention they had a 4th floor suite just like one we got which was updated an empty. (the person at the front desk the next morning told us that) I’m so frustrated an want a refund of some sorts.

It's ok here. My sister and I met up here in Fayetteville for the Super Bowl and she chose this hotel. Being here kinda reminded us of the movie Vacancy and Identitybut other than that it's ok.

Run, as fast as you can! Booked a room with Gateway online, had a cheer competition in Fayetteville next day. We show up to the Bates Motel, literally! Not one car in parking lot. Go to check in, lobby seemed updated and well cared for. However we needed to see our room prior to a check in. The hall way to our room was dark and dirty, we then had to go outside around a corner to the room. Room was very outdated and worn. I inspected the beds for any signs of bed bugs, glad to report I saw none. However the room just wasn't up to par. Mind u we were just one group of over 30 kids and parents checking in for a competition the next day. I instantly canceled our reservations and booked with holiday inn. The area of this hotel is creepy, the upkeep is beyond disrepair, the only bright side was an indoor pool which they said was broken. We got out of there as fast as possible. The young man working the front desk was a charm, very pleasant. I hope he finds a better place to work becasue he was truly trying his best… We just couldn't stay there. If you're a drug dealer or a prostitute this is a dream place for you. If you have children or anyone that you care about, steer clear.

Do not waste your money. Really, anyone claiming that this place is nice or even tolerable is blatantly lying, or using this place to entertain hookers. I am not a person with unreasonably high expectations, but this place should probably be considered a health hazard. Booked a (non-smoking) suite online. Only needed the room for an overnight stay before an event. Upon arrival, we were told our room had been given to someone else. We were given another suite. Bugs come complementary, as does pubic hair on the sheets. Mattresses are stained, carpets are ripped. Floors thoroughly unvaccuumed, nice dusting of gravel included throughout. Reeked of what I assumed to be long term smoke. I shouldn't have been so surprised, as the hallway leading to the room was filthy, with bags of old garbage and empty 2 liter bottles strewn about. I complained to the company we booked through, who spoke with the management. They offered us the keys to another suite and apologies for the "mix up. " We declined the second suite, as it smelled like an ashtray and included actual ashtrays on multiple tables. The used Q tips around the beds were a total bonus. Sink was moldy, lights in one bedroom also didn't work at all. I should've known when we checked in that something was wrong, as our paperwork had the wrong price and credit card listed for our room. Again, I am not an unreasonable person.

Not worth the money… rooms smelled like old soap, pool heater broken, bathroom wow nasty. 1 star for staff they were nice.

Staff was awesome, super friendly and helpful. Lobby and corridors wreaked of smoke. The whole place is old and run down, in desperate need of a remodel. Stains everywhere. Bed was rock hard, pillows were paper thin. Bathroom looked like it was thorough a war. The room stank of musty old cigarette smoke.

Lobby was ok just smelled old. The rooms however were disgusting and smelled of cigarettes and mold.

The hotel is old, and out dated, the rooms are very dirty. The room that we are in, the toilet runs, and the bathroom stinks. The towels and wash cloths are dirty, it is a terrible experience, and I would never stay here again. They don't care about the customer all they want is to sell rooms. DON'T SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT THIS HOTEL… Foot note, at about 9:30 pm EST, my wife and I was attacked, by some type of nasty flying bug. That was the last straw, we just packed our things and left. I'm from Baltimore city and I've seem Projects better looking then this hotel, and they seem to put more security on the employees than the guests. They lock the lobby doors way to early and you are forced to use one of the side or back doors to a very dark park and lot. Wear you could be mugged or proportioned by a prostitute. Please seek other lodging means…

The hotel was fairly clean, though the view isn't all that great. Rooms were a great size, and the pool was fantastic.

The room was nice but dated. The website was misleading with it's pictures of the grounds. The staff was polite but persistent in the morning about getting into your room while you're packing.

It's a great place. Wonderful location and room services are splendid.

Decent hotel to expensive for what you get. Needs to be remodeled and upgraded. But the room I stayed in was fairly clean.

Spring lake, rooms are nice, and idk about the service because I've never stayed there.

Super nasty. Lipstick kiss marks all over bathroom wall which was so dirty I don't know how anyone could put their mouth on that wall. Beds were super uncomfortable and pillows seemed non-existent they were so flat. Very outdated. If my card hadn't already been charged I'd have walked out and gone elsewhere. Will never be staying here again!

We checked in we went to the room and we checked out right away. They gave us a list of the channels and none of them were working. Very bad experience.

The lobby was welcoming. The staff is always there with smiles and being helpful. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. They even have a pool that is open year round. With Wi-Fi available I am able to get some extra work done with ease.
