Review of Sheraton Raleigh Hotel 3*

Very nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable, firm but not too firm. The pillows were down type, a little too thin unless you like thin pillows. Very clean rooms, the hallways smell absolutely wonderful. Very pretty hotel, stylish and upscale. Price was very reasonable, service was outstanding. Paid the extra price for the club level upgrade ($35), the lounge and upgraded internet are well worth it. They have dinner and breakfast in the lounge if you upgrade. The food was very good, much better than what would be expected. They keep the lounge stocked with sodas, milk, juices, bottled water, coffee, tea and some light snacks, this alone is more than worth the upgrade price, especially if your stomach is sensitive to local water (and Raleigh water is… yuck). Had an interesting experience as the floor I was staying on was apparently having a party, and my wife, 3yr old and I were not officially invited, but we had to hear it anyways. They have highly visibly posted quiet hours, which the front desk and security did their best to respond to, when the people partying on the floor and in the hallways did not agree with the concept of highly visibly posted quiet hours. In the end, the loud people just went back about their business of being loud (they were essentially, professionally loud), but security responded each time in a very timely manner. As I was checking out, the manager addressed my concerns very well and compensated us for the loss of a little sleep, that was out of their control. The way they responded to my concerns was amazing, I felt valued and respected, and made me feel like I wasn't complaining, which was great. Will definitely stay here again.
