Went to get a room with my family was turned away because apparently they don’t rent to locals when I don’t live in mount airy we will never be back. Shitest place I’ve been to.!

This place is terrible
As soon as we checked in the faucet broke I was able to make it work as the manager was scrambling around trying to find the right tools (he had no idea what he needed and I told him what was needed before he even started looking). He still had the wrong tools. This was 11pm and I’m trying to get my family some rest on a long trip. Traveling with 3 children 1 year old 5 year old and 8 year old.
We finally get showered by manually manipulating the broken faucet. At about midnight the air condition stops working and I have to mess with it l to get it functioning.
I forgot to mention the stagnate stale smell of the room when we checked in
I would not recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in.

We have used this hotel a couple of times and are never disappointed as with any of our Comfort Inn stays, always relaxing and hospitality is great.

Staff are not nice at all they make you feel like your a bother the one lady was on her phone in the back when we came in and it pissed her off that she had to check us in WE WONT BE BACK plus we live in nc and these people don't represent our state very well.

Not very clean not nice to customers from out of town.

We arrived later in the evening and was too tired to use the pool or exercise equipment, but they both looked inviting. The check-in went well. Coffee available 24 hrs. The room looked like it should have been in a 4 Star hotel. It was really nice! Breakfast the next morning was very good. Overall it was the best hotel we stayed in on our trip.

Epic chain hotel right off the hwy in mt airy. Plenty to do near by and beautiful mountains to see. Nice comfy beds and an indoor pool to boot. Well worth the trip if you want to get away for the weekend.

The fro t desk clerk was so nice and very friendly. She rates a five star. Unfortunately the hotel itself was just so so. While you would think clean would be a good thing, in this case the entire hotel spelled like very strong disinfectant. To the point where it bothered us. I seriously think if my oldest daughter would have been with us, it would have triggered an asthma attack. That room it self was tidy. I stayed at three different hotels on this particular trip and this one was the most disappointing. The pool was small and very cold. Even my 11 year old who lives to swim didn't stay in long. It was too cold Ford me too even try it. Not worth the money I paid.

Hotel staff was friendly, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding. This visit, the interior humidity level seemed high—is it possible they just shampooed the carpets? Nevertheless, I will stay there again the next time I'm passing through town.

Booked a family trip two months ago. Drove nine hours with four kids to check in at comfort Inn mount airy, only to be told upon arrival that there were too many people for the room and we could not check in. I wonder if they realize that I called directly to their reception desk and spoke directly to a reservationist in detail about four children and two adults. I wonder if they realize that people depend on their word and their confirmation of a room. Don't tell your prospective customers that they have a room for a week for their four children and then deny check in. Are you just trying to sell more rooms? If six people are too many then state that upfront. Don't lie about it. Disrespectful. And a poor business practice.

Excellent staff and very clean rooms. We had plenty of towels for our 2 day stay. The breakfast was good and well stocked.

The motel was nice, enjoyed the breakfast, clean plenty of towels did not have to go back and ask for more. The receptionist Pam was patient, kind really patient when there was mix up concerning our rooms. Would recomend this motel.

A pretty standard hotel. The rooms were nice and clean with TVs. A breakfast was included with the stay. Nothing really stood out but nothing was too bad either. It was just a minute off a road with a bunch of different restaurants.

This hotel is not clean at all. We stayed here on our way to Myrtle Beach and our bed sheets had hair and eye lashes all over them along with lint. The sheets clearly hasnt been cleaned properly. We asked to switch rooms and were given a new room which was better. It is our fault for making the same mistake twice. We stayed here on our way back because and the same thing happened again. I will not be giving this hotel another chance.

Comfortable bed, cold eggs, cold sausage, cold hours and gravy, hot coffee. The coffee and bed are about the only things this place has going for it. I've stayed in Mt Airy many times and decided to try somewhere different this time. There are much better places to stay in Mayberry.

Hotel and rooms were clean and tidy. The walls, floors, and ceilings here are paper thin. Footsteps above are clear as day and we were able to hear the gentlemen next to us yawn several times. If you're a light sleeper, this probably isn't the best place. The staff was very friendly, though, and likely would have relocated our room if we requested.

We booked a room for 3 nights, got there from Michigan after driving 10 hrs, said we were happy to be close to the pool, our 3 yr old granddaughter would be coming to see us & would love going swimming with us, the manager informed us she couldn't come there to swim because she wasn't a guest, we canceled our room & left, the Manager was so RUDE,, will never stay at Comfort Inn in Mount Airy. The first time we stayed here was the Summer of 2016 to visit my mom who lived in Dobson. Then she had a stroke in February 2017. So, My husband and I came back to this hotel and stayed in March this year and the staff was great! The staff actually asked if mom was OK! The place is clean and neat and if you need anything they get it right away. That’s why we’re back to stay for 6 days until December 4th, to see mom again. Thank you Comfort Inn for living up to your name!

Rooms were really nice and updated but the breakfast sucked. Also had another comfort inn that was booked call this comfort inn and was told the price was 75 dollars for the night and it was the last room so we reserved it. When we got there they said it was 96 dollars plus tax even though we were told it was 76 and they didn't seem to care.

Hotel's busiest weekend all year and they had 1 person checking people in. I had issues last time I stayed at a Choice Hotel but was asked to give them another chance which I did. This experience was not much better. Entire hotel had a scent pumped in that was overwhelming and irritating. Elevator shook and shuttered every time I got on it. The breakfast did not look good and I did not eat but the coffee was terrible. There were guests revving their muscle cars outside in the middle of the night. Just like the last Choice hotel; the beds were the worst thing I have ever tried to sleep on. I will not be back at any Choice Hotel property in the future. At $180 for the night; it was completely unacceptable. I will stick to Hilton properties where I don't pay for a night that is sub-par.

Friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast. Quiet hotel and groundhogs are a treat to watch on the back lawn.

This hotel is beautifully decorated out side. The rooms need some updating and to be cleaned thoroughly. How do you take the linen off of a sofa sleeper and leave candy paper on it?

Stayed on 8/23/17. Nice rooms. Clean and quiet. Staff was also very nice and helpful. Didn't try breakfast but many residents were indulging. A very nice stay for the price.

Nice big room with 2 queen beds, a desk & a comfortable chair. Beds were wonderful & extra pillows. Nice hot breakfast.

Reserved the room prior to our visit to Pilot Mountain State Park and Mt Airy. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Clean hotel and rooms. Pool and small fitness center. Guest laundry also available. Nice breakfast selection.

My family and I had a fire at our house and needed a place to stay while repairs were being made. We showed up at the Comfort Inn in Mt. Airy. They said they had rooms available, but when we gave our address they said they do not rent rooms to locals. We offered the insurance claim number, but they refused. They turned away a family with 2 children who needed a place to stay. The very next day our insurance company said they would book a place for us and Comfort Inn was one of the options. We will NOT be choosing Comfort Inn for our 2 week stay while repairs are made.

The friendliness of staff and their accommodating nature help give this hotel value. Increased cleanliness of the rooms are needed, especially as our initial room smelled of smoke.

The room and the air conditioning system was very nice.
Your breakfast however, was unattended and was very low on food. There was no sausage left, gravy was almost gone and apple juice had no concentrate in it and only water came out. When we left the front desk was still unattended. This was from 7:45 to 8:15. You need a bell at the front desk.

An exceptionally comfortable stay. Extremely clean. You smell it as soon as you walk through the doors. The staff was very nice and polite. I definitely come back.

A good place to stay. The staff is friendly, most of the time. The rooms are spacious an d clean. The bathrooms are clean an d you have enough room to turn around in them. The location is pretty good. It's not right in town but close enough that it's only about a 6 minute drive to visit the attractions in town.

The room was great. Everything smelled great, room was spotlessspotless, breakfast was fantastic. My only thing to note, they break down breakfast right at 9:30a. Just beware of that.

The reason for the three stars was the rude staff person who vociferously argued with me over whether or not I had booked online (which I had not done) and refused to honor a coupon for no valid reason. We did end up staying here, owing to excessive tiredness. The room itself was fine — comfortable, clean beds and a standard bathroom. The breakfast was decent for a free hotel breakfast (some hot items, but not very good).

Great place to stay a night. Room was very clean and decently sized. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location was convenient and safe with stores, food and gas nearby. Breakfast was typical Comfort Inn, which is to say it was excellent for a hotel breakfast. Price was competitive. Would recommend.

We had a great experience at Mt Airy and part of that was the accomodations from the Comfort Inn. The staff was hard working and professional at all times. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. We will be back. Thank you Mr. Patel and staff!

The room was clean but the managing accused my wife and I of smoking and over charged us 200.00 and said there was nothing we could do to get my money back. That's what he thinks.

Wonderful hotel, beautifully redecorated. Very clean. Very polite and helpful staff. Quiet rooms, clean pool. Great breakfast. Only stayed one night while passing through town on our way home from Florida, but it was worth every penny.

We sent our employee here for an overnight stay. Good thing my employee call prior to arrival. This hotel has some sort of scam going on that they will charge you double if you arrive past 2/3AM, a "purge" time in their system, which the night staff in inadequate to overcome and they MUST charge you twice, if they even have the room for which you have already paid. I have spent 2 hours dealing with the drama this hotel and bad management created. Stay away.
