Stayed there for two nights recently and it was truly an unpleasant experience. There was a lot of mold in the shower the caulking was failing the floor carpet was literally filthy and there was almost no place to plug a phone charger in next to the bed. Stay away from this place. Have photos to prove it all.

The room was horrible the volume on the TV didnt even work and it was an old tv.

This is the best bang for your buck. And cleanliness. Thank you for keeping the voyage look and telephone in the lobby it keeps the character of the place unique. And attentive service.

The workers here are so friendly with open arms n make u feel like ur at home.

Stayed overnight due to family member in hospital across the street, good accommodations, satisfied with the service.

The bed lining had rust. Toilet paper holding coming out the wall. The floors was nasty. No upgraded television. No ash trays in the room. The best think in the room was the water pressure in the shower and when I got out the shower curtain at the bottom had mildew on it. Will never stay again. Was not worth th 80 my husband and I payed.

It's a nice not frills hotel.

Easy Carolina Inn is perfect for us. We can leave our car and take a very short walk to Vidant Medical Center. The inn is well cared for and comfortable. A great find.

The staff was incredibly friendly when we checked in. There were a couple of problems with the doorknob to the bathroom, but everything was pretty okay.

Provided excellent service on short notice for guest I had to host in town.

Convient to ECU. Room are outdated, stained carpets, and hole in wall. The bed was okay but did check for signs of bed bugs due to lack of cleanliness. Female staff member that checked me in was rude and unfriendly. She was on her cell phone and acted as if I was interrupting her by wanting to check in. Would probably not stay again unless there are no other vacancies. $80 a night is too much for this place.

Good location. Older motel. Needs updating badly. Old style tv, microwave/fridge? Cleanliness of room is subjective if you like dead bugs hanging in light fixtures, something that can only be described as splattered dried blood on one side wall beside sink area and something that looked like syrup that had run and dried on the opposite wall? Wet towels from previous tenants were still left hanging in the bathroom. Beds definitely need new mattresses, they sag horribly. Carpets were clean enough. Front staff was nice. Came for family weekend at college and this was only place available. Over priced for what you get. Probably will not stay again.

Pros — Guy at the desk when I arrived was very nice. The AC was already on when I got into my room. The bed slept decent. Free Wifi and cable TV. Working refrigerator in the room, and a coffee pot. (idk if the coffee pot worked) Cons — Apparently it was "ECU parents weekend" and a football game the weekend of the night I stayed. This was one of the only hotels with vacancy when I booked a couple weeks prior for an all day exam I was taking at the hospital. I expected it to be overpriced, but not to this extent; I paid $130 for one night (was told $115 when I called) when the average rate here is $40. That's more than 3x the normal rate. This is a $35/night hotel at best. How they get away with that is beyond me. The room had dead bugs all over the floor and in the bathroom, and one live one that I saw. It looked like it hadn't been stayed in or cleaned since last football season. There was a spot under the AC unit where an apparent leak had ruined the carpet and the wall. I'm sure the owners would find a serious mold situation if they actually had someone inspect it. I went to call the desk for a wake up call, phone didn't work. There were burn holes on one of the blankets on the bed. The over head light had been removed (I say removed because I could see the hole and wires and the switch didn't operate anything else) so I was unable to turn a light on to see to enter the room. The furniture and TV was from the 1990's, not a big deal to me, might be to you.

Not the best room but man in charge is nice and worked with us after a mix up on number of beds.

Room was horrible! Despite of the rudeness and lack of hospitality we still stayed. The shower leaked, hair from previous ppl was left behind, the toilet leaked as well just 2 name a few things that were wrong. Oh, and I got ate up by bed bugs! Don't recommend this place to NO ONE.

Great place and service. Met my needs for being right by the Heart Institite.

OK for a night stay when you have a Dr appointment early and live a distance away.

Despite a minor snag with our reservation due to Expedia's system issue when booking, (which was solved by the owner the following day) I found the accommodation good overall: very clean room, comfortable mattress, good water pressure in the shower. Cons: somewhat outdated furnishings and bedding, breakfast was very limited. In general, the quality-price ratio was good.

I get the prices are raised due to graduation and games; to help make a living for the owners. However, the condition these rooms are in for the price is tacky and down right wrong. I wish the owners well because they were friendly to my family while in town. But these rooms need serious updating and cleaning. I am not saying it has to be the Ritz Carlton but a little pride in cleanliness matters. The owners could make a lot more money due to location and convenience to hospital and ECU. From experience with having to find lodging from out of state, I was highly disappointed in how dirty the rooms are. It's not just one room, they are all in same condition.

I didn't go there I just went bye it this stupid app picks up everything.

It was am awesome experience, second time staying here. Rooms are a little Meh, but for the price and the friendliness it's hard to beat.

Clean, and comfy, would stay again.

Room smelled moldy — mold on AC vent — spider in bed! Did not complete stay due to these issues.

Delivered a pizza to a guest there. It seemed to be a pretty nice place.

Seems like they dont need any business… I'll never call again.

1/2 drank coke in refrigerator from last guest. Dirt smudges on walls, smallest shower I've seen however. Staff was awesome at check in. Price was appropriate and location was conveniant for our needs.

My experience was HORRIBLE — — We chose this motel for the location since it is conveniently located across the street from the hospital. However, the horror began as soon as we keyed into the room. It was disgusting and nothing like the pictures displayed online. -The sink and tub wouldn't drain -The carpets were old, stained, and felt disgustingly damp -The beds were lopsided and picture frame decor broken -The bed linens were old and stained -The shampoo they provide wouldn't even lather, so cheap. -The dehumidifier (since the fan in the bathroom no longer worked) was beyond noisy -The refrigerator was in terrible condition and barely kept anything cold -The bath towels were paper thin and when I asked the front desk lady for some extras, she rudely replied with "don't you already have towels in your room? ". -The so called Continental Breakfast is a JOKE. The packages on the pastry items were EXPIRED! There is hardly anything else to choose from besides outdated pastries and cereal which had watered down milk and juice. -The Staff was mostly rude and grumpy Overall, the entire place is a dump and in major need of updating and remodeling. Yes, it may be $70 a night but I expected better than this. I for one, will never be staying here ever again. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Customer service, front desk, continental breakfast and room were terrible. Made reservations asked for first floor room, they could not find it. Room had toilet problem, told them, no one fixed it. Continental breakfast was absolutely terrible, old doughnuts old cereal. As a hospitality professional, I would recommend never staying at this property again. When asked for receipt they would not even give it. Hotel property owners need to know that customer service, respectable rates, a nice room go a long way to bringing return customers. This property has a long way to go to learn that. Do not stay at east carolina inn.
