Sadly, the manager was extremely rude. It is very noisy even at night. They are not serving breakfast like is advised and are still charging their normal rates. We understand COVID but other hotels are still serving something decent not a double chocolate muffin for an extra $50 a night. We also ended up stuck in the elevator and the emergency phone wasn’t working. Really bad experience overall. Please stay away.

It's our second year staying here… we love it. It's an older building that's been updated. Clean inside & out. Far enough out of the main drag to be quiet… close enough to walk into town. Tolley stop super close of ya wanna ride and still taste lots of shine.

Very nice hotel we always stay here! The rooms are clean and the breakfast is really good… believe it or not! Biscuits and gravey are the best! Fabulous rate for all the amenities.

I will never be back! The man in the front was completely rude. He was smoking in front of customers and had the worst customer service skills I have ever witnessed. Our room wasn’t cleaned before we checked in and the man threatened to put us in a dirty room. This was for my husband and I’s honeymoon and we booked several months in advance online, and we purchased the additional insurance to protect our reservation. When we got there and the man at the front desk treated us poorly, we called Comfort Inn corporate and they said there was nothing they could do and refused to refund us our money, even though we never even checked in AND bought the insurance so this wouldn’t happen. After 47 minutes on the phone with corporate, he told me they would charge us one night and refund us for the other 4 days. The next day I checked my bank account to see the charged me an additional 150$. So I paid over $600 for a hotel we never even stayed in, and was treated very poorly. My honeymoon was completely ruined. Save your money and time and go elsewhere!

Average grade property, needs lot of updating, corridors not clean, lot of cigarette smell in corridors and common areas, squeaky beds, limited breakfast options, vegans don't have much of a choice, really bad coffee… and limited parking spots. When I spoke with the front desk manager, my feedback was dismissed as incidental, I do not think my observations were incidental. Too high priced for the standards offered. Won't be returning! Hotel does deserve a 2-star rating.

Just spent two nights in room 508. Really restful stay. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. We loved the faux wood vinyl tile in the room. Carpets tend to be filthy in hotels so we loved the cleanliness of the vinyl. Yes, the hotel is further away from the main drag of Gatlinburg than some other hotels, but parking is available at a reasonable cost downtown and nights are quiet here without the sound of traffic and rude, loud humans! The rates are wonderful as well. Pool time was fun and as far as we could tell the pool was quite clean. Continental breakfast was my only disappointment. The biscuits and gravy were horrible. But, oh well, I will just have cereal next time! Will definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay! We were traveling with our dog and this was the best pet friendly hotel in town. Room was extra clean with lots of room. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. We will be back.

I gave them 5 stars because they still deserve it. Our room was clean and it doesn't have any bad odor. They also provide complementary essential toiletry replacement. Employees we're friendly, approachable and helpful. I wanna be honest though yes, the walls are thin that you can here people talking. But I don't really care about it is because I'm on vacation and I don't spend my entire time sitting in the hotel. I go back to the hotel to get something or change and then out again and come back at night (9pm or later) and it was really quiet. This hotel is really affordable and very close to main street. If you spend most of your time outside and don't care about thin walls then I definitely recommend this place.

Good place to stay. Beds could have been a little softer but not bad. Had a frig. Microwave, fireplace and we Loved the flooring, no stinky carpet. And breakfast was decent too. And trolley stop was close by.

Nice hotel for the money. Close to everything downtown, possibly walking distance for healthier individuals. Besides, parking downtown is $10. Breakfast was good… Eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal etc. The rooms are nice and the beds were comfy. The grounds and the pool were clean and well kept. Very nice staff, would stay again.

Decent rooms, a little dated but clean and quiet. Not right downtown which I liked about a 10 minute walk to all the stores and attractions of downtown without all the noise and traffic. Staff was great, breakfast was ok.

This Quality Inn is A Cut Above any other Quality Inn I've ever stayed at. As you well know equality in is not at the top of the list or a five star hotel. We stayed and a king suite with a wrap-around balcony and the price was very reasonable. The room was clean, the bed was clean, plenty of towels and a awesome fireplace that made the atmosphere in the room just right. We stayed on the 4th floor so the balcony view was pretty good. On the downside the clerk at the front desk was a jerk. The internet failed to work during our entire stay. Did I mention the guy working the front desk acted like someone had peed in his Cheerios that morning? He was civil but only just barely.

Great location; walking distance from Gatlinburg downtown. Courteous staff, clean room and breakfast included. Bummer is just until 9:30 am.

The rooms are spacious. If you need to, bring the airbed. Definitely not the best property in the area, as minor renovations were made. The property does this beautiful tourist town no justice.

Wasn't sure when I pulled in about the place. It looked old on the outside. Room though was recently redone. It was clean, spacious and the fireplace was great. Decent view off of the balcony too. Breakfast was good with sausage patties and egg patties along with waffles, donuts, cereal, muffins, etc. Only real negative was that the walls were a little thin. A little bit of a hike to downtown but that made it a little quieter. Everyone that worked there that I encountered was friendly and helpful.

Pet friendly! clean! clean pool and hot tub! also perfect location. Old school Gatlinburg feel with updated amenities. The breakfast was pretty good to. I didn't take pics because I enjoyed myself so much and it was an "unplugged" weekend. WE didn't have any issues. I wanted to take the pillows home they were so comfy! Stay here and don't regret! I paid 60 bucks a night for 2 Queen room as king sells out quickly! 2 ppl and our Shepherd puppy. WE checked in at midnight with no problem.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. This hotel has tons of potential. Unfortunately, the rooms are filthy. My socks were black immediately after taking off My shoes. Beautiful woods floors, just need mopped between guests. The heat is unbearable in this room, you can't adjust the temperature. My bedding I'm pretty sure had poop stains on it from a previous guest. You can hear everything people were doing in the rooms surrounding you. I called the front desk to complain, and the gentleman that answered was extremely rude. Pretty sure I interfered with his smoke break with my call. Hire someone to pick up all the trash around the property, and hire friendly front desk workers and you will have happier guests.

Honestly, we thought this was going to be our "go to place" in Gatlinburg. We loved our room and the location. However, we were charged for damage to an item that was not made while we were there. Manager sent a picture of the damaged item, but when I asked for a dated picture/additional evidence, I got nothing but crickets. Two phone calls and two emails later, and the manager has not contacted me. I'm sad because we really enjoyed our stay there, but this dishonesty is not acceptable.

This is my third stay at this hotel, and I would strongly recommend it. The rooms are huge, and the fireplaces are wonderful. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, housekeeping was a little behind. She knocked on my door at about 5:45, asking if I needed housekeeping. Poor lady looked tired and frazzled. Fortunately I didn't need any services. Breakfast, though is good but mediocre. Wifi was fairly slow in my room. Still, it was a great relaxing stay in a nice hotel, and I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL! Super clean and well appointed rooms. Our suite had 2 separate French doors leading onto our privcate balcony, even a fireplace. We really loved the convenience here, within walking distance of Gatlinburg's main drag. Highly recommended.

Great prices for nice rooms. The fire places are on timers like the bathroom heat lamps and I was very surprised to see hardwood like floors instead of cheap dingy carpet. Room had a nice balcony overlooking the pool area. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be staying here again. I would have to agree with other reviewers that the beds are not comfortable but I haven’t really stayed anywhere that has beds that are comfortable other than all inclusive expensive vacations.

Great location and the staff were super friendly. I forgot my earrings in the room and called to ask if they were found. They called me back within an hour to let me know they found them and I got them in the mail today.

This is a solid four from me. Fantastic for the price, the rooms were recently renovated with "wood" flooring and marble countertops. Our room had a gas fireplace and a small balcony that faced the hillside with the roller coaster, meaning I woke up every morning to gorgeous trees. This was a last minute trip to see the fall colors, and at first I was disappointed that we couldn't get downtown, and that the first impression isn't the greatest, but the amazing service at check in/out, the views are beautiful, and the comfy bed means we will definitely return to this spot.

First off, GREAT PRICE on a room during the fall colors season. Rooms were big and roomy, plus ours had a gas-powered fireplace for some extra ambience. You enter every room from the back of the building, and the balconies are on the front so every room gets a roomy outdoor space to enjoy (except 108-110… avoid those rooms unless you get an extra cheap rate! ). Breakfast is on par with the standard at mid-range hotels: eggs/sausage/waffle maker/cereal/etc; no complaints. The start of the downtown Gatlinburg strip is about a 5 minute walk away, well lit at night. Staff were accommodating and courteous, the only real "complaint" is that everything requires going outdoors from your room and using either the stairwells or the one elevator. Breakfast is on floor 2, laundry on 3. Not bad in decent weather, but beware in winter. The building has been updated and kept very clean, but the architecture reminds me of a concrete bunker. A few bucks to hide unsightly wires in the stairwells or have local artists paint murals in the outdoor hallways would help a lot.

Rooms were clean, balconies were a plus, breakfast ended a little sooner then I wished at 9:30am. Other then that very nice!

We stayed here for Fourth of July and loved it! We could see the fireworks from our balcony, the staff was super friendly, the room was spacious and had vinyl floors. The pool was also nice. We had a great experience here and can't wait to return!

It was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable… the air didn't work in either room, the TV didn't work in our room. We were given a receipt for the night stay and the next morning our card was charged for 30.00 more than our receipt showed. We called them and the gentleman said that wasn't a receipt he had given us? I wouldn't stay there again. He wouldn't tell us what the 30.00 was for and no chance of being refunded. Check your bank statements or pay cash!

Don't expect the best and you will not be disappointed. This is an oddly configured layout, older, average, outside door motel with flaws in the ambiance and the food quality. The somewhat recent upgrading was pretty well done but on the cheap side. Given all the above, what you get is a large room that has been upgraded but is showing it's age. For our hiking group, it represents a good value for the money. They did allow us to play games in the breakfast space before bedtime.

Rooms are of a high quality, and nicer than most. Breakfast every morning was also very good. Large hotel — tiny pool: not a great mixture, but it wasn't a big deal with the Gatlinburg strip right down the road!

The rooms are "new" but new means new laminated hardwood floors and maybe new sheets. The room feels like a dorm room. Although the floors look nice, looks can be deceiving. It echoes every sound. Forget walking on it when wet. Our room was non smoking but obviously there are smoking rooms nearby. Sitting in the balcony (which is a nice touch) you get constant smells of smoke coming from the smoking rooms. The pool was decent. Led lights that changed color at night was a nice touch. The pool area was clean and even though pool hours were till 10 pm. We and many others were regularly in there till 11:30. In all it wasn't a bad hotel. I've stayed in much worse. It was generally overall clean. But it just lacked the coziness of a hotel that you would expect.

We stayed 9 days. It was so comfortable and nice. Our room was huge and had plenty of space to live comfortably. I liked that they didn't have carpets in the room. My only complaint was that they turned the fireplace off for the season after only getting to use it for one day. It was nice to sit by after swimming in the pool.

This is really a great hotel for the price! The views from most rooms are great! It is conveniently located just outside of Gatlinburg and you can get to the main strip with a reasonable walk. It is also across the road from the Mountain Coaster! There is a pool and nice facilities. A great place to enjoy staying in the Gatlinburg tourist area!

My husband and I stayed here for a wedding. We booked a room based off the good reviews from multiple sources, but our experience was barely pleasant. It was a place to sleep. The pros: the room was clean (when we entered the room), had a nice balcony, mini fridge, microwave, and make up vanity. The breakfast was your basic continental breakfast: eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, etc… The cons: No maid service… On our first day they replaced some of the towels, but didn't make the beds or take the trash out. On the second day they took the dirty towels, but didn't replace them with any new towels leaving my husband and I to share the one clean towel that was left. Again the beds were not made and our trash was not taken out. Another con was we had two connecting doors to both rooms on either side of us, which meant we could hear EVERYTHING going on in both rooms. Needless to say we will not be staying here again and I would not recommend it to anyone who prefers a clean room.

For the price, we were satisfied. The laminate floors were quite clean, but other areas of the room were lacking (e. G. Some bathroom surfaces). The hotel is quite literally built into the side of a mountain, which is interesting architecturally, but presents parking difficulties and shortage, and isn't very accessible for that reason (see pictures). Hotel staff washed out AC filters in the passageways, and couldn't be bothered to contact the owner of a vehicle taking two spaces in the very limited parking areas.

Nothing fancy, but adequate for a dog-friendly hotel. A couple places (baseboards, etc) in room could benefit from some cleaning, but bed is clean. Good location, near park entrance and other Gatlinburg attractions.

I travel alot for my job and this was the first time I have stayed in a hotel that had wood floors. This is the most logical situation for any hotel and all others should follow. From a hygiene point alone this is so smart. This hotel is pet friendly and the wood flooring makes super sense for this accommodation. Every staff member I spoke with was super friendly and went out of their way to help accommodate my family and I. We will stay here again for sure.

Rented 2 rooms for our families. Beautiful setting. Sufficient room. The rooms feel second rate for the money though. Recent remodel was done cheaply. First thing that I noticed was that the floor was filthy in our room. The shower had pubic hairs and what seemed to be partially rinsed blood. The other room had the TV on Latino soccer so apparently our cleaning guy wasn't cleaning (Mr Gonzales-according to his tip envelope). I never complain about anything but this time I had to. After 8 1/2 hours driving from SC we arrived at 8:30 and cleaned our own rooms until 10pm. We had 3 little kids to keep germ free. Luckily we had cleaning supplies from the beginning of our trip. Pool closed at 10. Kids pissed beyond comprehension. Spend $30 more and stay at a care free hotel. Get your cleaning act together Quality Inn and you'll have a heck of a motel. I'm a 20 year veteran of the cleaning industry and you'd receive a failing cleanliness report if I was your inspector.

Nice room, clean sheets. The walls are paper thin and there were several children next door and a couple fighting. Three of four of the towels were stained, but while we were there the hotel received a huge order of new towels. This is the second time I've booked a hotel on priceline and gotten a room on the first floor. Never had a room on the first floor anywhere else before. I paid the regular price for a room with a "balcony" view of the Smokey Mountains and what I got was a patio with a view of the parking lot.

Just spent 2 great nights and had room 401, the room was huge, extremely clean and the beds and pillows were awesome! Plus being pet friendly my service animals had a great place to relax they loved the balcony! Would highly recommend! They are remodeling but that was neither a problem or hassle! Can't wait to see how great it is when they finish! Their continental breakfast was the best I have ever had. Loved the one cup coffee makers in the room, perfect coffee every time! Also the room was sound proofed so well didn't even know we were in town!

This hotel has been changed to Quality Inn & Suites and has been renovated. Rooms are VERY clean and spacious! Loved the fact the rooms do not have carpet, instead faux hardwood floors. Because there was no carpet, there was no funny hotel odor. Beds were extremely comfortable! I stayed from October 11-13th and brought my 2 large dogs with me. They were very accomodating to pets which is also a HUGE plus! The free breakfast was amazing! I was expecting just fruit and cerel. But they had waffles, biscuits with sausage gravy, eggs, donuts, muffins, cereal, coffee, juices, oatmeal, grits and fruit. Very impressed and the cost was very very resonable. Staff was super nice!

The updated pet friendly rooms are AMAZING! They have wood flooring and a fireplace and balcony and are HUGE. For $50 a night and no pet fee, we could hardly believe our good luck in finding this place. It's as large inside as my first apartment! Super clean room, big TV, spacious, front desk people incredibly friendly, and outdoor pet area with cleanup station is nice. The pool is also well maintained with cool lights in it at night. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

For $100 a night it's a great deal. The owners are trying to update an older motel and I think in a year or so this will be a great place to stay. Pros: Price Free breakfast (equivalent to Hampton or HI Express) Big rooms Hard woking staff Pool Cons: Other than being in the middle of a resto I didn't see any. This isn't Embassy Suites, not for ~$100/night.

I was quoted a rate and when I called back to book it they said they never quoted that rate. The very rude "foreign" manager used profanity and a racial slur toward me and hung up on me. I would NEVER consider staying in this dump. The BBB will be notified of this. Do not consider staying with them.

This hotel is a SORRY excuse for a business! I made reservations for a night there, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER got confirmation on the reservation. They said I made it for 12/26/14 when I KNOW FOR A FACT I made it for 12/27. But since I NEVER received confirmation, I cannot dispute it. They called me at 11:43 PM (PM as in the middle of the night! ) asking where I was. I told them I was still in my cabin that I had rented for 12/23-12/27 and would be there when I made the reservations. They were completely booked because of a youth conference in town. They probably even sold my room and made twice the money. I disputed the charge on my CC but since they DID have fabricated documentation. They won. Would have been nice to have received confirmation. IF I had MADE the ERROR (which I didn't) I would have saw the reservation confirmation and called and corrected it. RIDICULOUS BUSINESS PRACTICE! Not only will I never stay there again I will NEVER stay at ANY Red Roof in fear of that happening again. I travel A TON and make A TON of reservations, NEVER have I made that mistake with a hotel. BEWARE! Get confirmation or get a call at 11:43pm.

The hotel itself isn't bad, great location and the rooms are pretty spacious with a nice 40 inch flat screen TV. The problem I had with it was the price, all the other hotels were booked solid so I knew it would be a bit higher. Red Roof had one room left, which was just a normal room. After taxes it ended up costing 157 dollars. It was not worth 157, walls were thin, pillows were terrible, and the room was old in general. If it was not as expensive it would have been a good experience, but a rip off for 157.

Please Read ALL: Summer 2013 The place was dirty outside and inside. We booked a suite and it fell very, very short of luxury. Every aspect of the hotel needed serious renovations. Everything that could go wrong with a hotel was happening here, expect bugs. We did not find bugs. Tiny fridge with frozen up freezer, moldy bathrooms, fixtures that were falling apart or not working, fire place didn't work, carpet and fixtures not properly cleaned. The kitchen and all its components crawled out of the 80's. One room had two giant beds that literally took up all the walking space. I could not stand in there and get dressed. The other room was spacious, but empty and boring. There was one picture hanging in the whole suite, in the living room. Bad breakfast area. We stayed 3 days and my daughter and I never got to use the pool in the evening due to two individuals skinny dipping every night. The cleaning staff was rude. The "private" balcony overlooked the back parking area and was actually shared with every room down the back. I was glad to see a carbon monoxide detector, but it was close to the ceiling rather near the floor. The owners seemed so nice and I really hope they turn this hotel around. It is in one of the best spots. We walked everywhere and never had to take the car out. They had replaced the mattresses and added new TVs. I wish they had done a better job putting in the TVs though. Our experience was bad, but please do go and ask to see the facilities before paying.

I stayed in the Suite 700. And to be honest I read all negatives reviews before our trip and my experience was not near that. I and my family had an amazing time at this hotel, the rooms were clean and I didn’t expected to be in an apartment (kind of). Rooms were clean, bed and pillows were comfortable and the hotel area was close to local businesses. Yes it is old and the floor outside the rooms is concrete but you can’t beat the price, staff were very nice and breakfast also.

All the negative reviews that this place has accumulated is because of one reason: The rooms are OLD. I read all those reviews before making the reservation, and I am fine with old rooms, because that is what you get for this price. I paid $52 (including taxes) for a 4-occupancy room per night. Luckily, I got a new room and apparently it seems they are renovating all the old rooms because of the negative reviews. The place is very close to the downtown area where the restaurants are, and that saves you a lot of time and money (for parking as well). They serve free breakfast, which is absolutely amazing for the price you pay. Next time you make a reservation, let them know that you want to stay in one of those renovated rooms, and they will honor that.

My husband and I with 3 kids and a pet stayed at this hotel to save some money and also it was pet friendly and close to downtown Gatlinburg. The rooms looks 1970s and definitely need update, but I heard they are in the process of renovating all the rooms. Beds and pillows were comfortable and rooms were clean, that's important to us. All the hallways are exterior and made of concrete floor, so the minute you outside of your room, you are litterally outside, one side is mountain view and the other is city view with balcony. Free breakfast but it was the worst breakfast I have eaten at any hotel I have been to and I have been to alot of hotels. It is walking distance (1/2 mile) to downtown, but not recommended if you have high heel or with small kids (I made my kids ages 8, 11, 12 walk just to give them some exercise). You can also take the trolly bus to Dowtown or Pigeon Fort for 50 cents/person/ride. And lastly it is a pet friendly hotel, and surprisingly clean and didn't have a bad smell like other people said. It is one of the two hotel that takes pet which are close to downtown, all the other hotels downtown doesn't take pets or will charge you $100 fee, so that's why we go with this one. Next time I keep the pet at home and stay at a downtown hotel for convenience and comfort.
