This place is a secret paradise. Beautiful resort in the blue ridge mountains. With so much to do on site you can spend a whole day exploring or a week relaxing and having fun. It has a high end restaurant, game room, pool, gazebo, walking trail, horseback riding, boat rentals and more. The staff are amazing. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We will definitely be back next time we are in the blue ridge mountains. We highly recommend this place. Whether it’s a romantic getaway or vacation with the family. You won’t be disappointed.

We went on December 9 for one night and it cost $277. The advertised fireplace was not gas and they had no wood to start a fire. We went to the mountains in the winter and had expected a usable as advertised fireplace. I called to the front desk and she told me she would check with the Manager and maintenance and would call me back. She never called me back. Also advertised is an on-site bar/lounge and restaurant called Tommy's Paradise. No where did it say that it was seasonal. It had closed the week before. Very disappointing for $277 for one night. Very disappointed they didn't call me back to address my legitimate concern after paying that rate.

We felt the need to share our experience because we saw all the great reviews here but had a pretty bad experience. We stayed in the main lodge and our room was disgusting. The carpet had stains everywhere, there was hair streaked on the sink and shower and there was some kind of plastic literally stapled on the wall behind the toilet. The fan had a thick layer of dust on it. The air conditioner smelled musty. We went to the pool and it appeared to be fine but when we got in the water was extremely cloudy. The outside tables around the pool were literally broken, and there were sharp pieces of stone sticking up around the pool where it wasn’t finished yet. The gate was broken to the pool which seems dangerous with kids. There was an outside water feature like a waterfall that wasn’t running and was green and full of moss. When we walked back from the pool my toddler had bare feet and while we were climbing the stairs to our room we noticed multiple carpet staples sticking up all over the stairs! For the price we paid this is not up to standards.

We found this great little gem after coming off the blue ridge parkway south in cherokee, NC. So glad we found it. The entire staff is incredibly nice… only concern was making us happy. Very nice room. Kinda reminded me of a bed and breakfast, very quaint and cozy. Lodge has a great wrap around covered porch with nice rockers and a porch swing etc. The grounds around are very nice as well. We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant but it looked really nice and smelled amazing!

Cool place! Went rafting then ate lunch. Pretty good food, served by smiling happy people. Raft trip went off without a hitch. Informative staff gave plenty of heads up info on the river and pointers for the 1st timers there. Had a fantastic trip and will visit again when possible.

I love staying here with my family. I just returned from a weekend stay, and the staff always goes above and beyond, despite limited personnel. Beautiful place!

The facility should make it known up front that the restaurant is closed. Check in was perfunctory. Ice machine broken 3 days. Room service had to be requested initially. A bit of a ghost town as if the place is in the midst of some transition. Slow Wi-Fi was free. Nice scenery from window to distant mountains. The front desk Services are de minimis and on our last day we asked what happened to the horses and so forth and we were then told that they are still available but no one ever provided any information about that or any other activities at the place. A missed opportunity if they did in fact offer that activity. It was as if management is remote somewhere.

I sent my parents there as a gift, and they LOVED it. The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate them and their wishes. They highly recommend the resort for anyone looking to have a relaxing time or a fun family vacation!

I came here to go horse back riding for my birthday. It was an amazing experience. I highly suggest coming to ride with David and his guides. They will definitely take care of you.

We loved the place, owner and facilities. Our kids have really enjoyed the stay, closer to many attractions, strongly recommend place — 5-STAR.

This hotel was great, breakfast in the morning was very good. The pool is nice and there are many other ways to relax. This location is quiet and private. The rooms were great and very quiet. We will come back.

We loved this hotel and the location was great. Everything was perfect and so many nice amenities. The complimentary breakfast was nicer than most with tablecloths and great views of the mountains. Our room was quiet, clean and luxurious. There’s a pool, tennis courts, and stables nearby and a nice little waterfall and large upper deck as it’s a wedding venue.

Great place! Peaceful and quiet. Needs some upkeep and our hotubs weren't working. But the views and staff were great! Recommend for a nice mountain get away.

So fun! I highly recommend looking on their website for events. They have cute festivals and vendors and its fun to walk around and check out the little shops and meet fellow adventurers. They have good food and drinks and you are right by the water. Its beautiful and simple and the staff was nice. The parking is a bit scarce but I went during a busy weekend.

Extraordinary location, staff and experience! The natural beauty of the area is not disturbed by the resort. You feel more a part of the environment, with great accommodations ranging from historic log cottages to a lodge. It's a delightful place for a romantic getaway or a family stay. We loved it.

We stay there every year. We love it. Wouldn't dream of staying elsewhere. Clean and beautiful mountain top cabins.

Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice location. Just wish dining available. I believe the dining room was closed for the winter.

My husband and I stayed for two nights. The staff is very friendly. The room however had stains on the comforter, carpet on the floor and also stains on their wash cloths. Our TV kept going in and out with a loud noise. You have to drive into Bryson City or Cherokee to find things to do. Although, if you are the outdoorsy type they have some things on their properties to do. They are only about 30min from the Casino which is a lot of fun! I hope this helps someone.

Had to make late night accommodations because the cabin we reserved had bed bugs. Nantahala Village helped us out at 2:00 AM and have us a discount because they knew we didn't have the opportunity to research other options. Nantahala village saved out weekend getaway!

Great staff, wonderful views and the room was nice. My wife a, d I enjoyed the hot tub and fireplaces both inside the room and on our private deck.

Deb was extremely friendly and nice like previous people said. The setting was great and very close to multiple rafting and adventure companies which was a plus. The pool was great. Large with a lot of space. The kids loved it. Maybe we missed the tourist season but the Restaurants were sparse and closed very early. The bistro restaurant on site was closed when we were there. We had a tree top cabin. Flat screen tv, cable, kitchen,, two bedroom. It was pretty clean but needed maintenance. Broken blinds, broken stove panel, some broken trim, the fridge front door had some surface rust, and also reeked of mildew/mold. I had to leave my suit case in the car so my clothes wouldn't smell like it. Overall it felt dingy in need of renovations. A big issue for me was that it was a tree top cabin and did not have a deck that face outward over the ravine. Very disappointing (although to be fair the double cabin did have an outward facing deck). It's also VERY difficult to turn your car around on the narrow road where the cabins were located. Breakfast was acceptable but don't expect major hotel chain breakfast. Some cereal, oat meal, bagels, fruit and some sweet stuff, coffee and juice. The work out room is outdated and the game room needed attention. The table hockey was broken and the ping pong table had either broken or dented balls. Overall a good location if your the outdoors type, but cabins need some serious attention.

Deb Morris and her staff were professional and so very friendly. Our son's wedding was perfect. Deb made sure that absoluetly every detail was attended to. Our guests were very happy with their rooms both in the lodge and in the cabins. We highly recommend having your wedding in this beautiful location.

Do not stay here! shady af. Rented a historic cabin for a wedding. Beautiful place for a wedding but the staff has no clue how to run a wedding. The cabin was very dirty — cobwebs everywhere, dirt on the floor, etc. Multiple different problems upon check in for different groups — rooms not ready, lost deposits. I was double charged for my room — they claimed they didn't have my card on file (or my deposit), gave them a new card to pay. Check my cards today and they charged both cards. Friends room wasn't ready for check in until 7pm! They told multiple people when we called to book that they had no rooms left and they only had one (more expensive) cabin left — told this to at least 3 different people, who all booked cabins. Avoid this place.

Even though I'm giving this establishment 3 stars (the hotel lodge and staff were wonderful), I can't recommend it due to the low quality of of the in-house bar and restaurant — which we were told — are leased to separate gentleman. We arrived at 5 PM, and our stay included 2 complimentary beers. When we came down to the bar an hour later, we discovered that out of the 5 or so brands they offered only 1 was cold because no one had thought to put them in the refrigerator. The bar's owner was relaxing in a chair doing nothing when we arrived. We later had dinner at the restaurant and I made the mistake of ordering a Margarita which came with virtually no Tequila. Today after spending the day in Bryson, we thought we'd give them another try only to discover he had closed both the bar and restaurant for the day and night without notifying any of the guests. He claimed they were closed for "cleaning" but this is odd considering the restaurant is only open from 5 PM to 9 PM so one wonders what he did all day. Other people were checking in, only to discover their "free beer offer" would not be honored. After a day in town, we were looking forward to returning to our room, having a swim, a couple of drinks, and dinner without having to drive back into town. His unprofessional behavior, lack of concern for the guests, and overall lazy attitude is unacceptable.

The cabin we stayed in was great. The actual unit was a little loud but not enough to bother us. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast, staff was curtieous and helpful. Beds were high quality. All around our was a great stay.

Ok! So this is a pretty late review as we stayed here in December last year. I want to say first off that the Manager Deb was amazing throughout the whole process. We hadn't planned on staying at Nantahala Village, but we went online after driving all night from Florida and sight seeing all day we booked a room in the lodge for the night. While arriving there, it seemed to be closed but there was a number for deb on the door so we called her and she came right down and helped us. Our booking hadn't appeared in her computer so she ended up giving us a full cabin for a discounted rate and the next night for free as the staff was off for the holidays and there was no kitchen open. She also helped us out with food for us to eat for breakfast and coffee. The next day we woke up, and wow! the view was simply amazing. The mountains are to die for. We went on a hike and just sat outside and relaxed as it wasn't too cold at the time. We enjoyed every part of out stay and next time we want to come in the Summer time so that we can also experience the activities they have to offer. Deb, keep being amazing!

Overall, very nice overnight stay. Staff was very courteous, even calling us to warm off impending slow and the need to make arrangements for food ahead of time (due to it being off season). Do not be thrown aback by the blue tinged tubs (due to copper pipes), it is clean! We were offered a mountain view room, upon our inquiry of the tubs. We had a modest offering of fruits, donuts, coffee and orange juice for our continental breakfast, despite it being off season. Wi-Fi worked just fine in the lodge (other reviews noted otherwise). General manager Deb was very nice and avoided due to snow is we needed more time to checkout, we needed not hurry. Grounds looked very nice for peak season activities!

I was traveling through late, I called late to make a a reservation and the staff was more than helpful. I enjoyed my stay, the views were spectacular. Highly recommend.

In September 2016 I paid in full for a cabin in April 2017. I found out the first of January 2017 I would be unable to make the trip. I requested they cancel my reservation and refund all or (pro rated) amount. They graciously replied to my first inquiry and stated due to the amount of time in advance, they could offer a full refund. However since that initial contact they have not refunded the money and refuse to reply to any form of contact. Very disappointed with this experience. It was not a trip I wanted to cancel but my employer will not allow me the time off. Be cautious dealing with them, you have to book months in advance but if life happens it appears you will be ignored and not be refunded.

High priced for low quality. Poor management and it shows.

Very friendly staff and you have activities right on the property. Rooms aren't the best but for the rate it's well worth it. Our kids were too young to ride the horses but they let them pet them. They let my 5 year old saddle and ride around the stable area twice. Recommended for a group of friends to get a cabin for privacy.

The resort is lost in the wood. The Nantahala village has a very nice history about Cherokee and hippies. Didn't know anything about both before we went rafting. Our guide was lost of fun. Raging Rivers was the business that gave us the tour. The location of the resort is preferential. I didn't have to drive long in those narrow and curvy mountain road and that was priceless. The inside of the resort is actually well taken care of. The amenities, not as much. I assume they clean it for the weekend guess, but since we arrive the first day of the week, there wasn't much we could do beside rafting, zip lining, playing tennis, basketball and swimming. Rooms are decent. The room service is once a day, and we were offered continental breakfast. The service was good and welcoming. The locals as well.
