This hotel is ok. There are better hotels in the area at the same price. The a/c in the room did little to keep the room comfortable. The room was very humid and had a musty smell to it. Breakfast was standard and nothing exciting but was free. Check in and out seemed really difficult.

Nice people but the need to have minimum characters makes the site suck way more than my experience.

Normally, I love this place with their comfortable beds and great breakfast. This last visit I was shocked to find that my window was wide open all night behind the closed curtains. When I mentioned this to the front desk they told me that they would put a note in the housekeeping log to check all the windows on 1st and 2nd floors. I would have thought this was standard practice when cleaning the rooms.

Comfortable and convenient location, but it is a little worn down for a Wingate hotel. The doors and carpeting have seen better days, so a refresher is due. But the facilities are functional, the water runs hot, and I'm looking forward to a nice hot breakfast in the lobby tomorrow morning.

The staff were friendly and I was left to my own devices which I appreciated. The reason for 3 stars is the building has a moisture problem past the first floor. My sheets felt almost wet from the high humidity in the building and my room smelled of rancid feet.

Beware. I used to stay here every time I went to visit fayetteville but NEVER again. I was in my hotel room for about 9 hours, including sleeping time. I didn't use any of the appliances. I checked out thinking everything was fine but then had a charge for $285. I inquired and was told I made their $20 microwave explode. I was told there is no fighting it and I would be charged. The house keepers even reported a burnt smell but how!?! I never touched the microwave. I should have though and now will check everything at every hotel I stay at from now. I couldn't believe this. Stay away!

Very nice and clean. Would gladly recommend to stay there and would happily stay again. Breakfast was very nice!

The hotel is in a pretty good location, quick access to just about everything (~15 min). The hotel itself is alright. The carpets show signs of old age and the bathrooms look like they need new caulking. The Internet is quite slow. The breakfast was standard, but make extra time to eat as there is only a small amount of food brought out at a time. Staff is friendly and helpful.

If I could give zero stars I would. I made a reservation days ago, because I was coming home for a funeral. I get there to check-in and the representative at the front desk wouldn't allow me to check in because my last name on my ID card didn't match my credit card. I explained to her that just a few months ago I checked in with no problem using a card with the same name and ID. She then asked for my marriage license. Then she found me in the computer but she still told me I had to wait for a manager. Why do I need a manager to check-in if you can clearly see that I've used these credentials before at your business, and not only that I am an active duty service member with a valid ID that I showed you. I will never stay at another Wingate establishment. So disappointed in the treatment. ****Update**** So they claimed they couldn't check me in with an ID card and credit card that didn't have matching last names. However they had no problem charging that same credit card for a room that I wasn't even given. Wyndham resorts and hotels will never get my business again.

This hotel is clean and nice, but what makes it the best is employees, Nancy and Emily! They helped me find places to eat, gave directions, made me feel at home, showed me how to use the business center, and were super personal. They made my two week stay very comfortable!

The staff at the hotel was great, very friendly & helpful. The only complaint that I had was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The tile floor was in poor shape, there was a hair in the sink when I arrived, I went to take a bath & the overflow drain had gunk that when the water level reached it the gunk came off in the tub. I drained the tub & just took a shower and the nozzle had gunk all over it the commode had not been cleaned properly as there was black gunk all around the rim. Upon checkout I brought my concerns to Jason Seneca who was very apologetic & he was going to bring the concerns to the housekeeping staff to be resolved.

This is a very nice hotel. Modern, clean, and comfortable. Free breakfast in the morning. I particularly liked the coffee machine in the room and how the coffee packet was the brand that was designed to fit in this specific machine. Too many times I've stayed in a hotel where a round coffee packet was supposed to fit in a rectangular slot in the machine. Then you end up getting weak coffee because not all of the water filters through the packet. The coffee machines here were nice.

Couldn't ask for a more accommodating hotel… quiet, comfortable and the employees greet you genuinely. Great breakfast and close to shopping centers and restaurants!

I’m extremely disappointed to be billed $107.80 for a room that was canceled well in advance through the governments DTS program, the staff was rude when I called to try and have the charge removed, then I called Sato travel and they had all the documentation of the cancellation and emailed it to the staff at the Wingate in Fayetteville, they still decline saying it’s not a valid cancellation, thanks for making me pay out of my own pocket to be an Army Reserve Soldier!

Front staff was helpful and the breakfast and lobby was nice. The only problem I had was in my room the toilet wouldn't turn off.

We think we have become pretty avid travelers as seniors but we need at address issues at the brand hotels. We stayed at the Wingate Fayetteville, NC and have encountered several concerns. The cable changes channels without notice, the safe will not work, the microwave sticks so badly you cannot open, there is visible wear and tear to the bathtub caulking that requires a simple fix. The staff, I must say are very friendly and will ask whenever asked. Jasmine was a true joy to speak with and a great help. She also kept us informed of the hotels resources and outcomes of concerns. Overall I am giving the hotel a 3 as I don’t believe I would stay at this location again.

Clean, friendly staff, spacious rooms, plenty of parking, free breakfast. Within walking distance to many restaurants.

Terrible customer service. Manager was rude. I will not stay here again nor will I recommend to DoD and fellow travelers.

Bit dated and can use some maintenance, but the beds were very comfortable and staff friendly.

Nice, clean and safe place. Have restaurants and food available nearby. We could get Marcos Pizza delivered late night around 11pm when we reached hotel. Stayed only for a night but slept well, even after stressful all day journey (white running away from hurricane Irma, came from Florida). Beds and pillows are comfortable, bathroom could be little clearer. Good place to stay with family.

They have everything but the air conditioner almost doesn't work. Everything Q need is mediocre but is located in a good area. They have breakfast, gym, fridge, microwave and a safe. Terrible Internet.

The hotel was very nice, clean and the front desk clerk was very hospitable even at 2 am. :-) The bed was the best I have slept in, in a longtime. We didn't get to try the breakfast bar since we slept in. At 10:30 in the morning the coffee was still fresh. If ever in the area again, definitely worth staying.

The hotel was conveniently located in town with easy access to everything. The hotel staff were very pleasant and the room very comfortable. I was not ready to leave. I would definitely stay there again.

The lamp in my room on the left side didn't work. The iron didn't work and the ironing board was very unstable. The phone I tried to use next to the bed it didn't work and when I realized that there was a phone on the desk I was already packed and ready to go. When I went to the front desk to tell the lady she responded by saying "I'm sorry that it didn't work, I'll let maintenance know. If you would have told us we could have brought you one. " I'm already behind schedule for work and I couldn't iron my clothes and now I'm in jogging pants and a t-shirt and feel like they really don't give a damn because of what I'm wearing. I didn't have time to even get what I needed and neither of the people at the desk seemed concerned and I'm quite sure the manager was behind the desk with the woman I initially spoke with. Hopefully you stay will be better.

Staff was very helpful, courteous, on point and great southern hospitality! I will definitely continue to use Wingate by Wyndham whenever I can when traveling. The young lady, Glori was wonderful attending to our room, and unfortunately first night our toliet had an incident that was handled very promptly by the front desk. Great location and plenty of nearby restaurants, shopping stores.

For $120 you get a squeaky bed and a bad tasting breakfast buffet that is in disarray. It was a mediocre stay. Edit: the staff is dressed unprofessionally: desk personnel are allowed to have 6 inch long fingernails. Talk about a first impression…

Large and very clean rooms with very comfortable beds, a very nice staff to assist. For anyone who's planning a stay in Fayetteville, NC, I recommend the Wingate.

This was a beautiful, and clean room with a friendly staff. The location was easy to access and near many places to eat. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Love this hotel and the staff. My daughter and I had to stay for a week last year because of snow and ice and the room were very clean and the staff was excellent! I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

I was there on an emergency visit to see my mother in the hospital. I usually stay at Wingate with no problems. My visit, on 12-18-15 to 12-21-15, was less than desirable. Apparently, they forgot to empty my trash on the next day, which wasn't much of a problem. The issue came on the second day. We left early to visit my mom again and upon return, my wife found the room has not been cleaned at all. She spoke to the desk clerk (who was very courteous) and informed her of the issue. The desk clerk said that housekeeping left for the day. My wife left and when we returned she met the desk clerk who provided clean towels. I didn't understand until I got to the room. I went back to the clerk and told her that it was unacceptable and that I paid for an extra night with the expectation that the room would be clean and presentable. I told her that since no one can clean it tonight, that I expected not to pay for the additional night. She said that I should leave a note for the manager in the morning. The next morning I spoke to the manager who apparently read my note and he immediately begin to tell me how I mistakenly left the do not disturb sign on the door. I informed him that we did not leave the sign on the door, in fact we left it on the floor in the room as we had difficulty putting it on the latch in side the room. He said that his staff didn't make it up and that the two staff members could not have been mistaken.

Despite the somewhat odd and negative reviews below, I found my four day stay to be excellent. Breakfast is what you would expect from the typical free hotel waffle breakfasts. There is no pool and no laundry, but you should know that before you stay at a place. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. I do agree with the comments below regarding room service in that the cleaning people seemed overly anxious to get in and clean the rooms. Otherwise, it is like staying in a Holiday Inn Express. There is a nice restaurant/bar next to the hotel to visit.

Do not stay here. A few years ago we booked this hotel through a third party agency for my father, a disabled Vietnam Vet. When we arrived, they told us that the room was not wheelchair accessible and they could not accommodate him even though it was specifically requested in the reservation. The staff at the front desk were limited in their ability to help and when the manager was contacted at home, they couldn't be bothered to get out of bed. Ended up having to go to another hotel. Unfortunately, we had to give them another chance and it was like a deja vu. The staff was more helpful this time — they have one wheelchair accessible room and they gave it away 10 minutes before we got there. They contacted the occupant and he was willing to change rooms. However, after being here for only 1 day, we've had to endure a fire drill and a water outage. If you have another option, take it.
