Chad, the general manager was beyond accommodating. We had a large event and we took up the entire Inn and room foe my sister’s wedding. Not one complaint. It was perfection!

Dorrys was just wonderful. The interior and exterior are beautifully maintained! Our soon to be daughter-in-love’s bridal shower was perfect! Highly recommend the Morehead Inn!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with The Morehead Inn. I remember first walking in when I was looking for wedding venues and thinking this was a dream come true. Dorrys did everything to make the day perfect. We were in constant contact over my few months of planning and the day was absolutely perfect. We rented the entire inn for the evening of the wedding and it was like having a party in your own home. It was cozy, comfortable and beautiful. I keep thinking of all the other life events I want to celebrate while I'm there like baby showers, birthday parties, anniversary parties… I just loved it! We stayed in the Mt. Vernon room and the bed was so extremely comfortable. We plan on coming back each year for our anniversary and will always recommend it to our family and friends. Thank you Dorrys and your amazing team for making my dream wedding happen. I will remember that day forever and always.

We chose the Morehead Inn for our wedding and reception venue on September 26th, 2020. Our wedding was an absolute dream! Dorrys is the Inn's event coordinator, and she was very easy to work with. Our original wedding venue in Charleston, SC closed unexpectedly, and we had to recreate our entire wedding in two short months. Needless to say, we needed flexibility, and Dorrys went above and beyond to work with us and our budget. Everything about our wedding and reception went off without a hitch. Dorrys and our day-of wedding coordinator stayed in constant contact with each other and with us to make sure everyone stayed on the same page. The food was catered by Charlotte favorite Something Classic. It's been a month and our guests are still raving about the appetizers and the dinner they provided. The bar and wait staff were professional and attentive, also. As for the Inn itself, we loved it so much that we reserved all 12 rooms for guests. There were beautiful and unique rooms for pictures and for the bride and groom parties to get ready on the wedding day. If you are planning a wedding in Charlotte, NC, do not overlook this gem!

I cannot rave enough about the Morehead Inn! During these seemingly inflexible times, the inn was incredibly flexible from the start. They were gracious in allowing us to split up our ceremony and reception while giving us the utmost care and kindness of making sure everyone was safe. They were great partners through the whole experience and were always in communication with us and our needs. If you are looking for an intimate backyard wedding vibe, I would highly recommend the inn and their staff!

Every stay is better than the last. It is always above and beyond. Jessica is wonderful, she took care of us start to finish and always with kind words and big smile. The chef prepared an excellent breakfast. Just the best place to stay.

We were looking forward to our stay at the inn we love B&Bs and stay at others often. We found this one to be in a great location with grounds and buildings with great potential but we were disappointed by the condition of the room we stayed in, the furniture was antique as expected but at least should have been functional. The dresser drawers were imposable to slide in and out, the bed posts were wobbly and screwed in with dry wall screws, the hair dryer was broken with exposed conductors and overall the furniture was overly worn. Our last night in the carage house the ac was shut off (I think the forgot we were still there) the outside temp was 90 and very humid. After a few attempts to get the phone to work I reached someone and they immediately said they could take care of that. A few minutes later the ac came back on
and as others mentioned there is no thermostat in the room. Too bad what could have been a lovely stay at a fine old inn wasn't.
there was a wedding the first night that was noisy until 1am at least, in the morning beer cans and bottles were on the ground and were not picked up for two days.

We have fond memories of the Morehead Inn (we stayed here 11years ago just before we got married). This time we stayed one night, and brought our 5yr old daughter and 12lb dog. They put in the Hawthorn room in the carriage house. It certainly is quaint and charming! I realize that it is suppose to feel vintage, but it could use a little TLC, i. E. Newer pillows. The ones we slept on we're horribly flat like a pancake! The couch cushions have seen better days, it is completely flat and lumpy. I don't suggest to change the couch, but at least put new cushions in, so it is functional for your guests! Attention to details will pay off in the long run.
