For the price this hotel served our purposes. It was clean, the beds were not the most comfortable, but not the worst I've ever slept on either. It's a bit dated, but for the price what do you expect? The location of this hotel is great, minutes to the beach, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and all around great to work with. Kim who was just filling in was great to deal with! It's a solid 3 star, and will likely stay here again next time I come to visit!

I would of given this experience a 1 star but the front desk had great customer service earning an additional star. Overall this hotel room was an awful experience, if you like a clean room, don’t stay here. I felt gross even sleeping in this room. I laid towels on the floor in the bathroom just so my feet didn’t have to touch the tile. I found dead bugs in the room, the TV and lamp didn’t work, and the road noise is LOUD. I had saw someone review this location as quiet and it’s not. Lastly, there is no breakfast or snack machines and it didn’t seem like a safe area. The only pro is that it’s close to the beach.

Pros: Great location — close to the beach (20min). Cons: Non-smoking room smells like an ashtray.

Old School off the isle of Emetald Isle, NC. Well Kept. Reasonable. Pet & Smoker Friendly though all the "Smoking" rooms were taken on our visit.

Not a bad place to stay for a night or two but I wouldn't stay longer than that. Everything was clean and well kept. Could use more than 1 pillow per person on the full beds however, they were comfortable but I would've slept better if my head wasn't so sunk into the pillow.

I made a reservation at this hotel through Priceline and got a decent rate and final cost was to be $ — —. — — and I understood they charged extra for pets. Upon arrival I was shocked to find out my bill had increased by $120.00. Asking why, was told that was the charge for my two small dogs. I could not believe I was going to have to pay that much for 4 nights. Not to mention how unhappy I was to find out the Pet designated rooms are on the second floor. Now anyone with pets knows this is not a good situation, especially if your dogs are older. They are use to staying in hotels when on vacation, but have never had to stay on a second floor. The room is very sparse, we checked in on Monday, today is Wednesday and we just got our coffee maker. One ice machine on the ground floorand it is always empty. Today we we left the room by 10:00 am and did not get back to the hotel until after 9:00pm only to find the door to our room standing wide open. Needless to say I will never stay here again, by the way, no food of any kind here at this hotel, nothing within walking distance. You are pretty much stuck driving anywhere for anything. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Jerry Kidd.

Super basic older hotel. Room was passably clean. Definitely not some place I would have normally stayed because it looks run down. Pretty thoroughly mediocre.

Very clean. Nice pool. Uncrowded. The staff was great.

Clean and very affordable prices for the area, especially since we were out of town working.

Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. The door is not a tight seal so a cockroach came in during the night. The shower drained out slowly so it was like a pool in the tub. The Indian owners are not maintaining it very well. We will never come back.

When we arrived at Hotel the air conditioning was not on. It had a very musty smell. The sink was stop up when advised the desk they said will fix that did not happen. When I opened the dresser to put some belongings in there a roach was crawling. I killed and took to desk. She said I had to wait for manager to arrive around 11. When to to manager to show him his comment was that's what happens when people leaves doors open. There was no apology from the manager. There were hair on the bed and pillow cases and no apology there either. It was suppose to be a weekend stay but ended up being only one night stay. Not to mention the price over the phone was 109 when arrived I had to pay 145. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again. I have to give a one star to post but no star from me.

Reasonably priced and great place to stay. It was very clean and I had no issues whatsoever. Right across the street from a sports bar, so food and entertainment are accessible. Very close to the beach! I would stay there again.

We ended up staying here because it's the only hotel that accepts pets and I don't like that it's outside, but the rooms were decent. It smelled a bit musty and the shower was just o. K. Overall not a bad room but definitely overpriced for what we got. Great customer service though.

Parkerton was very a convenient hotel for a beach trip to Emerald Isle. The staff was very friendly and room clean.

No racetrack, no roaches, cleanest non chain hotel. New carpet, paint, tubs, tvs. Great price. Pet freindly. Helpfull.

Our room was very clean. It was affordable and the beaches were only a short drive away. I would most certainly stay there again.

As others have said, quaint, nothing special, but CLEAN. Staff/owner friendly enough; different culture so don't expect dripping Southern hospitality… they ain't from the South. I'd stay again and would recommend others, but only if you just need a reasonably priced place to shower and lay your head. Bring your own pillows…

Rooms are dated but rates are reasonable and a 10 minute drive from the beach. Pet friendly which is a plus. Across the street from Rookie's sports bar and next to a car wash you'll need for your car after smashing so many bugs on the back roads of NC!

Stayed overnight during a week following national tragedy of 5 of our Marines being murdered in Chatanooga, TN. Flags across the country and especially in the area of Cape Carteret NC were all at half mast. Parkerton Inn's flag was not at half mast. I inquired and was told that the maintenance man must have neglected. Flag remained at full mast. Room was comfortable enough and clean. Air conditioner turned off and on loudly throughout the night which disrupted sleep.

Great small hotel with clean rooms and nice pool. Coming from Atlantic city, it's quite nice. The employee's are nice as well.

Stayed there a last summer and it was quit a pleasant experience. It was quiet, neat and clean, and the staff that we encountered were very nice and friendly. Prices were fine — comparable to other places. We didn't have animals, but would definitely plan to stay there again when we go to that area again.

This hotel is NOT dog friendly. Your dog can only stay in the room as long as you are there too and you are charged $15.00 extra per night. We were not told this when we made our reservation so we had to eat fast food and take-out for 3 days. I went into the lobby just to ask a quick question, holding my dog, and the lady said I could not bring the dog in the lobby. They are not allowed around the pool area either so we could not go swimming. Would never stay here again. Staff not friendly and very over priced as well.
