Complete renovation, yet kept the original mid-century design! Warm, inviting and brought back childhood memories of family travel. Room was spotless, including a great mattress and thick towels. Still use the old school “key” with triangle plastic tag with room number. Best nights rest after riding 1500+ miles on a Harley.

Absolutely the best place to stay! We wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. So quiet and clean and makes you feel like you’re home.

Nice and quiet pool was great clean rooms staff very friendly and huge playground for the kiddos Would definitely stay again.

I have stayed there a couple of time and love it. Clean rooms and comfortable bed! Friendly staff also. Our group loved the fire pit for relaxing after a day of riding.
We will be back.

This is the cleanest and most well maintained motel we have ever stayed at and the employees are the most friendly. They also love motorcycles.

Beautiful 1950s motor court that has been immaculately restored. Very comfortable. Desk clerk very nice giving us info on area restaurants and waterfalls.

It's very clean and well kept. However they have documents to be signed that are very specific and weird. No pets, no guest in the pool, super pinky promise, along with the fire pit smoking only policy. Their rules are a bit bizarre, but the place is nice.

The OWNER of this hotel is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. I paid extra for this hotel because it had a pool. I called to ask if my daughter could swim in the pool (we still had an hour before checkout) and was told that even though the pool was supposed to be open, it wasn't yet. The owner was out at the pool sitting in a chair, but could not unlock the gate for the customers. I did not see a problem in using the pool that I paid for. She talked to me like a dog and proceeded to tell me that I needed to pay extra for a 3 year old kid to sleep in a KING bed with my husband. I have her on video admitting to cussing me out and calling me a LUNATIC. She hung up on me more than once and told me she was busy, when I could see her out the window sitting at the pool. I checked in with my 3 year daughter, and not a word was said to me. The paper that I signed says maximum 4 guests. They wait until I go to check out to say that kids are not allowed to sleep in a king size bed. I was then told that there are plenty of other hotels in Franklin and if I had a problem with it, go to the Hampton Inn. I am a very easy person to please, but when a owner of a business treats their customers like this, something is wrong.

My family booked a room and when I let them know my sons seizure dog would be accompanying him we were told they would have to count the dog as a person. Then because we are a family of 4 and the dog would make 5 we would have to have 2 rooms. Not only did they violate my sons rights but they also broke the ADA guidelines. I will be notifying the proper channels regarding this and the violation of the American Disability Act.

We stayed in the Carolina Motel for an event at the performing arts center on April 13th-14th. David, Brianna and the other staff was courteous and friendly. They treated you like family while you there. The rooms were clean daily during your stay. I recommend the Carolina Motel anytime of the year.

Live here in north Carolina, my water heater blew out on us, tried to get a room at your establishment and was informed you don't rent to locals! This is ridiculous! I will never recommend or attend your establishment ever again. I'm at the colonial inn in Franklin! It's great!

Carolina Motel is where we stay twice a year for our motorcycle trips. They take extra care of me and my friends. The rooms are neat and clean. The manager is terrific. They have free breakfast too. Located near to the great Carolina twisted roads we love.

This hotel is super cute, clean, and has the friendliest staff I have ever encountered! I had a rough day leaving my youngest son at college, and the gentleman working the counter was compassionate and patient with my overly dramatic crying. I appreciate the southern hospitality. The location is perfectly set in the mountains, the hotel has an old 50’s feel, the rooms are modernized but still manage to preserve the historical aspects, and I cannot tell you how clean this place is. My son is an hour away at college and I am gonna recommend that he stay here if he e we heads this way to enjoy a weekend in the Smokey Mountains. I will also be back next time I visit my son. And if you are in the market for the CUTEST wedding venue/place to stay… this is it. If I lived here, I would rent the entire hotel and have my children get married here, and make it a weekend affair. This place is a rare gem that you cannot find anywhere else in America.

Be careful when you book a room here. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. We were given an extra $40 for an extra child charge in a room that has occupancy for 4 people. This extra charge was never mentioned when we booked the reservation.

Not a looker from the highway. This place was recommended by a local and their description of this place was spot on. Large rooms compared to that of a regular hotel room. The cleanliness of this place is something to be desired. The restrooms are spotless, clean linens, and friendly staff. Will stay here again… Don't judge this book by its cover.

Doesn't allow locals within 60 miles to book a room. Entire motel was empty and my family needed to get an emergency room for the night while we have urgent work done to our home. But no. Turned away. No such issues at the corporate hotels up the road. Another backward self-defeating local business in the fading town of Franklin. Smh.

We had a lovely stay at this cute little place! There is a pool and a fire pit. They also have cabins available, but we stayed in one of their very nice CLEAN rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable, and had plenty of good suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing.

I love the Carolina motel in Franklin. It's a great old-fashioned roadside motel. Motorcycle friendly with parking in front of each room. Rates are reasonable. Immaculate rooms and grounds.

Perfect example of a retro mid-century Motor Hotel, but with with modernized, updated appliances and amenities — It took me an hour and a half to find it on — line, but I knew a hidden gem was there somewhere and I'm so glad I put in the time to find it. Our stay was perfect in every way! We found it affordable (we were able to stay 2 nights for less than what one night in an ordinary chain hotel in the area would have cost), neat as a pin, and were surprised by the unexpected amenities (such as a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs and a very nice playground and pool area), and knowledgeable employees willing to take time to make recommendations for visiting the surrounding area. Overall, a perfect stay and we can't wait to return!

Very nice budget motel with friendly staff. The room was basic but immaculate. The beds were comfortable and free Wi-Fi was a plus. I definitely recommend this motel.

Dave, the manager on duty, was extremely friendly and helpful while checking us in and our room was very clean and comfortable. The whole place is very well cared for. We loved relaxing at the bonfire they build every evening as well. We will most certainly recommend this motel to everyone.

This is an older motel that had a very good remodeling job done to it. I was pleasantly surprised with the accomodations. They are even having a campfire out front tonight. For a 2 star rated hotel — I highly recommend this place.

I stayed here the last week of April 2017. The staff was terrific. The room was very clean. The location in relation to other things to do in the area is good. I would recommend to anyone & I would stay there again.

I really like this hotel, been there twice. Clean and friendly. Close to Sheffield Mines, where I go mining. Good continental breakfast with yogurt and fruit.

I stopped in here and the selection E&OF has is superior to surrounding furniture stores. They have a wide variety of styles and several lodge themed pieces (bedding, sofas, area rugs, lamps, etc). I found the staff to be extremely hepful.

I've been dealing with this company, specifically the Murphy & Franklin stores, for many years and have been completely satisfied with every purchase, whether furniture, bedding, rugs or accessories. They have been most generous with their time and attention in making sure I find exactly what I'm looking for and at the best price. Honestly, I've looked at most of the other stores and end up at Eller & Owens to make my purchase.

The motel is nice and in a lovely area. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. It's an older motel, so the decor is a bit dated as you would expect. My only real complaint was that the mattresses were too firm for me, and it aggravated my lower back pain. I liked that it had two pokestops on the premises.

The furniture that I purchased is good quality furniture. The staff was accomodating, even when I came back a week later to add to my purchase. The only issue I had was the time frame for delivery (many weeks) due to having to order an item. I purchased living room set bedroom dressers and a dining room table, the table had to be ordered, but they didn't deliver the other items until the table arrived.

Over priced big time! Moved from Texas and I've seen some big furniture shops that aren't this crazy, even over heard other customers talking about how over price things were. Some things weren't even soild wood. The staff kept following us around wouldn't give us a minute away.
