I truly hope to see this hotel do well as last year we had a fabulous experience when it just opened. Maybe it was because we stayed in the governors suite, so it was extra clean last summer. Well this year was a totally different experience. We had to change to three different rooms after driving for 7 hours to get there. There was mold in the showers, hair in the shower, floors, and in the bed. I was cleaning the hair in the second room change because I didn't want to change rooms again, and then found hair in the bed and got very upset. The staff was upset with me for asking to change rooms and told me when I saw the third room that they will refund us if we want to go somewhere else. I was very disappointed with the attitude. Where were we suppose to go? It's a small town. We just traveled 7 hours with two young children and a dog. Also, we paid extra money to have the dog and we had to ask for the bed, bowls, toy and special treat. We have been traveling to saranac and lake placid for over 10 years, never had we had to deal with this. They weren't nice about us commenting about the cleanliness of the hotel. Also while we were transferring rooms other couples were doing the same exact thing! I truly hope they find staff that care about the hotel succeeding. They also changed the menu on our third day and we couldn't get yogurt anymore and the pancakes went from being big and delicious to small and not good.

A big truck backed in right below our room at 4:15 in the morning woke us up. Every hour the air conditioner turned on and sounded like a helicopter landing. We did get moved to a different room, but the manager was not very professional. I would have rather had my money back but was told it was non refundable. The views were beautiful. The rooms were very clean. I give kutos to the girls who clean. The cleaning girls were the only people who said hi when I spoke to them.

Our reservations were made via Expedia — never again! The front desk professional was helpful and kind. She was able to find a nice room for us with an upgrade due to Expedia’s mess. The room is very clean and new.

My reservation was cancelled by Saranac Lodge because they took on a group they couldn't accommodate so people who were smaller groups were tossed aside and cancelled. The manager names Tom Kammerer was very rude, disrespectful and yelled at me because I refused to give up a reservation I already paid for. Very unprofessional.

A new chef with a wonderful menu. A great bartender — Crystal. Best meal ever. Rooms are clean, comfortable and stylish.

Clean and nice taste in decorating! Good activities to entertain your self at the lodge. Nice atmosphere! We enjoy our staying a lot.

Beautiful lobby (newer) and same with rooms however no room safe (very disappointed) and no outdoor pool as we knew… but room n bathroom spacious and lovely and close to Lake Placid,,, check weather before you come as weather very different from home,,, 10-20 degrees lower here and we live in Dutchess county.

The Hotel was amazing, super clean, accommodating, and hotel staff was super friendly. Rooms were spacious, pool area was clean and well maintained, and lobby was beautiful. The views were also nice to wake up to for those overlooking the lake.
The boathouse pub had great food, and the orange challah French toast was a favorite. In addition, we were traveling with two younger kids and the hotel staff made their trip enjoyable and ensured they were taken care of.

New and so clean and fresh! Beautifully and tastefully decorated, food was delicious, atmosphere friendly and the scenery was amazing! Also, staff wore masks!

Had lunch at the Boathouse Pub. Our server Sarah was excellent and the food was delicious. What we saw of the hotel looked beautiful. Looking forward to coming back soon!
