Every time we go to Daryls House for a show, we won’t stay anywhere else! It’s a 4 hour drive for us so we love that we have a place so close to the venue that we can stay at! It’s beautiful, the rooms are cozy, the staff is wonderful and the price is reasonable! Love it!

The staff at Heidi’s Inn are so friendly and very customer service oriented! We had a great stay and will be back! We had a shuttle service to a show nearby and our driver Kristine was extremely personable and friendly. She made our experience even better! Love this place!

Very nice place to stay. I would highly recommend it. Big clean rooms (super clean) beautiful grounds and made accommodations to park our big trailer. Very well kept, felt very homey! Nice courteous staff. Dog friendly was a huge plus for us! Will definitely come stay again!

A charming, quaint little Inn. BEAUTIFUL fireplace and wonderful staff!

I went here a few years ago and ever since I left I’ve wanted to go back. When you’re there you really feel like you’re home. Charlie the dog coming up and begging for my breakfast will always be in my heart. I miss it here! I can’t wait to come back.

Our home away from home. We are like boomerangs. We keep returning whenever possible including our Honeymoon. Charlie, a yellow lab greets us. The pool is wonderful. The breakfast buffet food is good and many foods and drinks to choose from. The staff are friendly. We think of them as family. There are beautiful dahlias and flowers to enjoy.

Staff were friendly and personable; room was spacious and clean. There is a very "homey" feel to this place and there really wasn't a ton of noise even during a fully booked week. Something I really like about Heidi's that you don't always get with big chain hotels is a much bigger selection of TV channels, particularly for the kids. The pool is a wonderful spot on sunny and hot days, and greetings from Charlie set the day up nicely — he is an awesome dog and great with the kids. The bathroom wasn't super exciting but it served it's purpose just fine. Not being on top of or below rooms is a huge plus, especially with children so we didn't need to spend a week shushing our children and they had so much fun. Having a full kitchen also helped save money and allowed us to choose healthier meals. Beds were small, but overall we really enjoyed our experience and look forward to returning!

I have been staying here for two months they are very nice. Love this place. I would highly recommend it. I have two dogs and it’s very dog friendly.

The location is great and the pool I really enjoyed. However the rooms and furniture are really old. The wood furniture is pretty busted. In our room was a chair covered in stains that I had to make sure to tell no one else to touch it. And the cleaning staff was so rude. We had a bad experience with them in the pool. I thought they were another family staying at the inn and the next day I found out it was the cleaning ladies and her family. Their child was such a brat and cried for like 45 minutes over a floaty that wasn’t even his but belong to the hotel for customers. And I mean screaming and stomping. The cleaning ladies and her family then proceeded to talk about us in Spanish thinking we did not understand them. They behaved disgustingly. I told the lady and the front desk and she didn’t really seem to care, she said “oh so what really happened was the kid threw a tantrum” and we were like no the family also starting talking about us trashing us in Spanish, she then gave us a fake apology. I just said thank her and left. I don’t ever plan to return here. Put your money in a regular chain hotel and have less of a hassle.

This a great Inn tucked away in the Hudson Valley. Great grounds and ridiculously dog-friendly. My only complaint is that the A/C didn't work very well, then didn't work at all our final night. Upon checkout we mentioned this and not only was this anticipated but not meant with any apology. I guess their A/C systems aren't very reliable.

Nice, quaint motel-format location. Rooms were quiet, spacious, & well-lit. The shuttle service to the venue for the event I was staying for was fantastic. Everyone seems very friendly & genuinely interested in being helpful. And then there's Charlie (the lobby dog)!

I loved this place. Very old fashioned and quirky. The one and only thing is the air conditioner. Definitely need new ones as the air that comes out smells musty and damp. And they are loud and shake the room.

In the area due to a family funeral. Power outage due to powerful storm hit. They stayed in contact with us even tried to book us elsewhere. Fortunately power returned and we were able stay at Heidi's a hospitable place with friendly management and staff. Would definitely return here if given the chance.

Very nice people there. The room was great and the breakfast always fresh. You can use a barbecue and a pool. We were very satisfied and would recommend it with a clear conscience.

Great retreat for anyone without a car in NYC! Easy to pop off the Brewster stop on the Harlem line & take a quick $8 cab over. You can also bike straight here from the Van Cortland trail, which I want to do next time. I had a fantastic visit, the owners were super hospitable, it rained so they went to get firewood to have a fire. I was able to get a lot of writing done, and went for a beautiful walk along Old Milltown Rd along the reservoir.

The best place to stay for miles! Great staff and everyone loves Charlie the dog at the front desk (including my dog). Rooms are not state of the art but adequate, comfy and clean — some with full kitchens, stay is reasonably priced, great breakfast in AM — try their oatmeal! Pool is also clean and refreshing. Very well kept grounds with a sprawling layout. I wouldn't even consider staying elsewhere.

Great inn with quaint rooms, beautiful grounds, super friendly/attentive staff, tasty breakfast in the cozy main lodge with a large fireplace and sweet Heidi Inn hound Charlie! Definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Cute little inn with clean rooms and a cute, friendly old dog. Only thing is the walls are paper thin. Other than that, it's a great place to stay! Just don't plan to have any arguments or… anything else you don't think people would want to hear~

Only had the chance to stay for one night but service was wonderfully dog friendly with the area was quiet despite being within walking distance of a restaurant with entertainment I believe. We'll certainly be glad to return any season.

What a lovely little family owned inn. Pleasant environment. Very cozy in the lobby. Just look at the fire place! Breakfast is nice. Owners are friendly and nice. The ONLY reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the filter in the A. C. /heat was very dirty and needed to be cleaned. Other than that the rooms are clean and neat. I absolutely recommend giving them a try.

Me and my kids had a comfortable stay. Not enough wash cloths and soap though. Hospitality was very good.

It met all the requirements of a nice place to stay. Clean, courteous help, decent breakfast and clean room.

We love staying at Heidi's. This is our second stay and we're booking ahead for the same time next year. Here's what we love: This place is not pretentious. The staff warm & friendly. The rooms are CLEAN but they aren't fancy. Both rooms we've stayed in have had updated bathrooms and kitchens (not updated, but spotless). The grounds are gorgeous, w/beautiful flowering plants everywhere. Continental breakfast is served each morning in the lobby which has a beautiful stone fireplace and many lush plants. There is a great area for grilling out with all the necessary equipment, including charcoal. Daryl's House Club is just down the road in Pawling for great musical entertainment. Since we're from NY we love coming to Heidi's because to get away from the madness of the city, relax and unwind. We'll be counting down the days until our next visit.

Stayed here for 2 nights for my brothers funeral. Really nice and quiet and the staff was very friendly. Lots to do if you stay with children… pool, ping pong table and a grill for cooking out and picnic tables. Breakfast was good and the coffee was great! Would stay again if in the area.

A 21st century incarnation of the traditional motor-inn that has the atmosphere of a resort. While only staying here one night, I could easily see myself staying several nights. My room had a simple beauty and elegance that still had all the amenities one would hope for. In the morning, breakfast was satisfying. I hope to visit again.

I am a fan of Heidi's Inn. I find the order in the room so peaceful. The location is splendid. The air is fresh. The water is good quality which also makes for a good shower. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The pool is a lot of fun in the summer. They gave beautiful dahlias in the late summer. Fresh air is a great reliever of stress and this Inn has a lot of it.

What a wonderful place to stay! Staff was super friendly, room was clean and newly updated. Just an overall great place to stay. My wife and I will definitely be back. Hugs to Charlie! :)

This hotel was fine only stayed one night.

Nice large rooms with friendly staff.

There are beds and the breakfast was just OK. Not many hotels in the area, but this place was fine.

Multiple Wi-Fi hotspots and directv are a surprise. The rooms are clean and pleasant, but with "dated" decor. It's an old fashioned motel spread over a pretty property. I have nothing negative to say. The service is good.

The staff is extremely nice!
The room was very large but the beds a bit small (we have the habit of queens beds and it was double).
The proximity to great restaurants.
Less:
The breakfast lacked a few things: chocolate hot, white bread but very good rest!

Charged my credit card $35 two days later saying a towel was missing from the room without contacting my wife or I. They also told us a rate for are room and then upon checking in bumped price up $20. CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT days after you leave!

This is a lovely hotel in a charming location. Staff is very friendly. We had a great time.

First off the place was kinda dumpish, in the 3 weeks I spent there I got threatened by a crack user 3 rooms away and had to watch another tennant have prostitutes delivered on a nightly basis ill give credit that sean (the owner) did deal with whatever situation I brought up. Second he's a scam artist, I was originally quoted a weekly rate of 325 for a tiny room with a full size bed and a little mini fridge, paid a one time deposit for my dog which was 30. The next week I go to pay and he changed the policy around so I had to pay the pet security on a weekly basis, ok fine grin and bear it I suppose. About 2 and a half weeks in he calls to tell me he needs me to leave because my dogs barking, and that the carpet was torn up from him. Never saw any torn carpet but fine ill leave. He refused to give me any refund saying that the weekly rate is really me paying for five nights and getting two free, even though I only stayed three. He then charged my girlfriend an additional hundred dollars for the carpet over a month after we left when I returned to confront him he refused to show me any invoice from any company that fixed the carpet, refused to tell me a company name or anything. And all of the reviews written are by the motel also.

I stayed at Heidi's last weekend. The room was clean, the service was very friendly and they have large lcd televisions in the room. It is located on a large wooded piece of property and the scenery is beautiful. I will definitely return.
