I stayed here based on the reviews but I was sadly disappointed. The rooms on the 3rd floor were filthy. I know this because I had to change rooms several times. Most of the staff couldn't care less that I was unhappy. I will never stay here again.

In summary: rude and unwilling to help staff, room was absolutely disgusting and didn’t match my reservation whatsoever. Receptionist was rude and woefully ignorant about service dogs. I had attempted to note on my reservation my seizure alert dog would be accompanying us, and he was perfectly behaved and very obviously labeled as a service dog upon arrival. She insisted she was charging us a pet fee, and interrupted me when I tried to explain that federal law says service animals are exempt from such fees. We were then placed in a dirty room that didn’t match my reservation whatsoever. And by dirty I mean DISGUSTING. Upon opening the door the stench of dirty dog and dog urine was overwhelming. The couch was visibly grimey and covered in dog hair before my service animal even entered the room. The mirrors in the bathroom were still splattered with toothpaste. Unacceptable, especially during a pandemic. When we went back downstairs to request additional cleaning or another room, the receptionist offered no help whatsoever and didn’t even check the system before insisting they were booked solid. Not to mention my reservation was tentatively priced at $140, my account is now charged $170 even though we weren’t even on the premises for a full hour. You could get a cleaner room at a Motel 6.

This is a relatively new Residence Inn that is modern, clean, well equipped, spacious and very well maintained. The COVID precautions this property took were extraordinary, with shields between the front desk and guests, masking throughout the public places, disinfected pens per transaction, and spotlessly cleaned rooms and public facilities.
Despite this the staff was able to go extraordinarily above and beyond in serving their customers. We are a well-traveled family, and normally consider ourselves well prepared, but this trip had a couple of trip-ups for us and the hotel staff just made it seamless. We arrived in the evening after an 8 hour drive from Maine with no milk for our daughter; there wasn't any in the convenience area by the front desk, but when I asked the front desk staffer where the closest place I could go to buy milk for our one year old was, she simply walked back to the kitchen, grabbed me two quart containers, gave them to me and asked if that was enough!
The next day, on check out, in dealing with the chaos of packing up two young children, I left my laptop in our room and didn't realize it. As we were enroute home, Camille from the front desk called me and let me know, and Camille and Mina at the hotel were phenomenally helpful in getting it back to me.

Great staff, great building, very clean and comfortable. Like having my own apartment.

The Staff is welcoming and so polite. The layout of the suites are beautifully furnished. Decor is current and is tasteful.

Just had a sleepover birthday party for my son & 4 friends at your hotel. The 1 bedroom suite was perfect! And the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, with a gift bag for my son & a birthday card! The kids really loved the pool!

Big shout out to the staff of this location for taking such great care of a group of firefighters staying at the hotel last night. Several of those guys were first responders who reported to ground zero on that fateful day 17 years ago. Thank you for showing them the respect they deserve.

I wanted to say that my family and I could not have asked for better customer service if we tried! Everyone was genuinely helpful and caring. Everyone interacted on a true personal level where it never felt forced or dictated. Employees even stopped what they were doing to discuss daily adventures with my boys! Restaurant staffer even remembered that we were trying to find childrens museum in Troy and asked at breakfast how we did. Custodian spent his lunch break talking to my boys about places they saw that day. I really appreciate things like that!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, and it's affordable too! Great, clean facilities, amazing suites. And the staff are awesome. Becca is outstanding and so nice. Kathy is also a great manager. They made our honeymoon feel so special! Thank you guys! :)

The location is good, they include breakfast and a small after lunch break with food, beer, soda and it is also free. The room I got was big enough, comfy beds and pillows. You get a small apt for room so if you are staying for a long period of time then you are all good.

Great staff, the evening mixers are really a nice touch. The pool and fitness center sure also excellent. The best part is the out door spent work grill and and fireplace!

This is by far one of my favorite hotels I've ever gone to. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The free breakfast is delicious and it provides many different options. The pool is splendid, they have a hot tub and a normal pool, both of which are very clean. The room that I stayed in was wonderful, the beds were comfortable unlike most holtes and and was very clean. This is a pet friendly hotel and my cats seemed thuroghly happy and relaxed. Thank you!

Extremely friendly and caring staff! I'm 21 and they all would strike up conversations with me to know how my stay is and how i'm doing. Clean pool area with pool/hot tub lifts for the handicap. And the rooms are nice. Easy access to the highway and next to the mall. Also a good selection of food in the morning and they let me take it up to my room. My grandma, mother and I were very pleased.

This hotel is amazing, its like a home away from home. There is a kitchen with 2 burner stove top, full size fridge, huge microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, sink, island with chairs. Lets not talk about all cooking and eating utensils provided. The bathroom is large with everything u could want & more. Bedroom area cozy and lush. I am most definitely returning especially since I can cook my own food if I chose to.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, pet friendly. A great place for weary travelers to stop! I have been coming here for years and it has always been a great experience for me and my pets.

Good place cannot complain about the rooms. They were clean and everything was looking new and fresh. One star dropped for the food. You are better off going somewhere else for the food. The gym was really small and dumbells only went to 40lbs. One machine wasn't working and the other was occupied. Didn't use the pool but it was decent size. I would recommend this place.

This is a comfortable business hotel. Free light dinner Mon-Wed,. And a full hot breakfast every morning. The staff is friendly and helpful. And it is located right next to a mall and stores for your Staples. These are the reason I have been a member of the Marriott rewards program for 15 yrs.

Let me just start off by saying that for a 3 star hotel, it felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel. Staff was friendly, the breakfast was great, awesome pool that my kids enjoyed, amazing hot tub, cool gym and I like that they have a guest laundry. There is nothing negative to say about the hotel. I highly recommend it if you are in the area and need a place to stay. ❤

Staff is EXTREMELY friendly, feel very comfortable in the rooms. I've stayed almost 3 weeks and have not had an issue. Small things like housekeeping staff maybe not leaving enough supplies. There's a market to grab something on the go if you need it. Some guests are loud at times. Other than that I really have no complaints! One suggestion though? Need to have the Investigation Discovery channel! ;)

Great place to stay. The room is large and complete with everything anyone could need. Great breakfast, has dinner time food and mingle events during the week that are great as well. Highly recommend!

Clean. Quiet. Friendly. The room has a huge shower a desk for work. A nicely made bed. And a sofa with a kitchenette with all appliances provided. Almost reminds me of a studio apartment. It's comfortable. The hot tub was great so was the pool, did some laundry in the on site laundry room. This place gets 5 stars because it makes me feel at home. The breakfast in the morning I have not tried but I plan to. I don't have any complaints about this place whatsoever. Highly recommend it.

Staff was pleasant and accommodating. The rate was great! One of the issues I had is there is no recycling. Most hotels recycle now and with the issue of landfills overflowing with garbage one would think to help by recycling! Another issue was we got a full kitchen and I cooked a lot and there were no scrubbing pads to clean pots and pan; no wonder some of the pots and pans had burned food on them. I would recommend that rooms with an oven that they equip the kitchen with cleaning scrubbing pads to clean pots and frying pans. Also the ovens were not cleaned. The cleaning staff could do a better job if they cleaned under things one time a week depending on how busy they are and at least clean the ovens one time per month. Carpets and sofas should be cleaned more often. Also, check beds etc for stains. I highly recommend having the couch pillows cleaned because I could smell head odors from them as I hate the smell of someones body odors! The more people using the pillows to lounge on the more cleaning should be done to get rid of head odors!

Nice, quiet and roomy room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were impressed with how quiet the room was for being in a metro area. The only complaint, the room wasn't that clean. Dust on furniture and hair in shower. Overall, good place stay when diving through Albany.

Cannot beat this hotel for the price! The staff all are extremely friendly great breakfast and happy hours very accommodating! Clean good sized suites.

Very nice rooms. I like the split suites offered by Residence Inn where the sleeping area can be closed off from a living area. All decorations, furniture, and fixtures were clean and modern. The shower was slightly annoying with an unclosable back half, but was very spacious. Finding a parking space wasn't a problem. Getting to the hotel was a bit confusing having to use a side street that can only be turned on to in certain directions, but Google Maps knew the right way. Breakfast was warm and had options. Front desk staff were friendly.

I stayed for 2 days and Absolutely loved my stay. Upon check in I met Rodney who was so professional and made us feel so welcome. The next morning we had a small hump finding out our room had pet hair which I'm allergic to and Holly quickly apologized for the mistake and changed our room to another floor. I met Barbra from housekeeping and she was so helpful and really such a fun person. These 3 people are all very professional yet full of great energy for the hotel. Having employees like them will definitely have me revisiting.

Great location near the mall (one of the best malls I have ever been to). The rooms are very nice. I was upgraded but I'm not sure to what since the room looks like a standard Residence size.

Great experience staying @ Residence Inn. The staff was outstanding, Steven, Kathy @ the front desk always smiling & making sure we were enjoying our stay. The kitchen staff did a wonderful job. Very enjoyable.

Clean room everything you would have in your kitchen except an oven. Breakfast included. Nice lounge area and outdoor patio with table chairs fire pit and grill. Friendly and efficient staff.

Large, clean room, easy check in. Accommodating and friendly staff. Very difficult to find the entrance to this hotel, as the address isn't quite where the parking lot is. Nonetheless, had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Just refreshed a few years ago, this is one of the most modern Residences Inns we've stayed at. Bar-style counter seating in the suites kitchenette (instead of the little table that's more common), large spacious bathrooms, TVs mounted on the wall instead of on stands… It's very modern, but still comfortable. The only catch is the super modern looking shower instead of the family-friendly bathtub. If you need a bath, ask early, some rooms still have them.

Fantastic suites and very friendly staff. I was a guest for nine days and shared a suite with my college. Usually when I am working I have a hotel room to myself and in this week it was more or less the same experience. We shared the entrance and a living room but both had our own bedroom and bathroom. The perfect match when you work together and still need your own privacy. Breakfast was good and on early hours and the location for me is perfect with my work nearby. I can definitely recommend this hotel to everybody and I will absolutely come back the next time I'm working in Albany.

Our usual hotel when visiting family in Albany. It's clean, relatively new and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. Sometimes can be noisy when families with kids alow their off spring to run up and down the corridors late at night. Thankfully that doesn't happen often.

I have been incredibly lucky to have been able to stay at this hotel 2 weeks in a row for work. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, great breakfast, clean everything. Peaceful and relaxing stay for sure! Special thanks to Katrina who has been an amazing front desk attendant and just a great person to deal with!

This place was amazing! They truly make you feel welcome and are extremely accommodating. Clean, great food (they have mixers during the week) and great people. The customer service was wonderful and the general manager really makes sure you are taken care of. We will be making sure to stay at future residence inns based on this hotel alone!

We arrived on new years eve they had rented our room and there was no rooms available there or any were else I had explained I would be staying for a month or two so here we go new eve and no house no room so o and the rate was 139.99 after taxes so we come back we get a room and bam 159.99 plus tax I told the girl that the manager gave me that price so we agree to fix problem when we check in we arrive had to pay the 159.99 plus tax and what ever else so we get our room we get to the door hear lots of noise and so we just keep on going in room about 8 oclock running and hanging out in hallways smoke drugs in hallway and run back and worth I tell megan front desk person she I got it 2 hours later same thing. She says I got it bit if they dont stop I can move you im like move me I have to many things and why should I be punished for some else behaviors I have 3 kids paying full price also our room had poop in one toilet no towles in on bathroom there was tons of nasty hairs on kitchen table chairs it amazing how this place is.

Stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom suite — — it was very very nice! Even staying in the smaller room, I never felt cramped. Checking in was very fast and easy after doing most of the process online. The only small issue was getting to the place — — it was easy to spot from a distance, but finding the road to get there was a little challenge. Still, a very nice place overall.

Love this place. The staff are all really nice and helpful. That suites are modern and spacious and very clean.

This was our second stay at The Residence Inn on Washington Avenue and I have nothing but praise for this Hotel. Staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and very clean and the location was perfect for a restful night and close enough to all types of shopping. We would definitely recommend this Hotel to our Family and Friends!

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. I stayed for one night in a two bedroom suite with my wife and two children. The room was awesome, clean, fully remodeled, modern with a full kitchen. My kids each had their own beds (one in the bedroom and one on the fold out couch in the living room) which avoided all arguments! :) The staff their were incredible. The hotel offers a complimentary happy hour with beer, wine, cheese and crackers. They didn't have much beyond soda for the kids but when I asked if they had any juice or seltzer, the staff on hand went and found bottles of seltzer. I was willing to pay for them but the staff member waived me off. Everyone working their from the front desk reception to the manager were incredibly nice and helpful. I can't recommend this hotel enough!

We stayed overnight with our two cats for one night on our trip from Detroit to Boston. Everything was fantastic and more than we were hoping for. The room was large, modern, and clean with working stove, dishwasher, two tvs, and a pullout couch. The king bed was very soft and just what we needed. The breakfast the next morning had a great selection and tasted wonderful. The staff couldn't have been nicer and polite. This hotel itself made it worth it to be a Marriott rewards member. I will be staying at Residence Inns from now on.

Staff was so welcoming and friendly. Beautiful hotel tucked away in the corner of this highway. Easy to get to from the interstate, but there was construction. They do allow pets and there was a yappy dog across the hall, but luckily only heard it when they opened their door. The floor above us was quite noisy, dancing, exercising, or doing something way past midnight. Not the hotel's fault, and I didn't complain, but I thought with the high ceilings and fancy decor there might be more noise control. The room was big, with a kitchen, couch, desk, closet, dressing area, comfy bed, and a large beautiful bathroom. Had sufficient amount of plugs. I liked that the TV could turn from the lounge area to the bed. The a. C. Worked great and I stayed comfortable. There's amenities to keep you comfortable if you need to stay long term. I did see dust and hair in the kitchen and bathroom. I was surprised as everything else was clean, even the hallway. I highly recommend this hotel if you're in the area.

Great rooms, very helpful staff, good evening mixers Residence-Inn-style and overall a great place to stay for business. It's also right behind the Crossgates Mall, making for quick shopping or food/movies access.

This place was surprisingly updated and rather fancy. The furnishings were great. The doorless shower stall was unique.

From the moment we arrived we felt like we were at the Ritz Carlton! The staff is friendly and courteous, the lobby is absolutely stunning, our rooms were decorated mid century chic and everything was impeccably spotless. They even have a firepit! Whether you're staying in Albany for a night or a month, this is your place. It's a home away from home. I'm so impressed! This is a five star hotel with 2 star pricing! Hubby and I went here for a "staycation, " on a cold winter night, and we were impressed. The room was a small suite with a very nice living room and kitchenette, a gorgeous, large bathroom, and a bedroom with a very soft king-sized bed. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The only thing they lack is a bar or restaurant, but there are places to go nearby.

Stayed at this property on many occasions when doing business in Albany. Clean and tastefully furnished rooms, welcoming and accommodating staff, fast internet, great outdoor space (grill, lounge seating, fire pit), and short walking distant to restaurants. Cant go wrong with this choice.

I used my boss' hotel points to stay at the Residence Inn for 1 night. The front desk employee swiped my card for incidentals instead of typing in my boss' credit card info. She proceeded to tell me that I wouldn't be billed. (I was told later by another front desk employee she wasn't supposed to do that. ) Cut to 7 days later and I see a $260 pending charge on my debit card! I called twice and was told to call back 2 days later if the money wasn't back on my card. I called again 2 days later and was told the manager would call me right back. NEVER CALLED! It has been 10 days now, the $260 is still pending and I'm getting blown off by staff! I'm NEVER staying at this hotel again and will make sure friends and family know about this situation as well!

The rooms were great. Getting to the actual hotel was a bit confusing though, it was on an access road with a small sign, could be improved here.
