Our kids got us a couple nights at Magnolia Place as a birthday gift. We were a little hesitant to travel during the pandemic, but we were assured this would be a very socially distant adventure. It felt very safe and was a much needed getaway before we all hunker down for the winter and await a vaccine. Ron and Katy took every precaution to keep their 10 or so guests safe, from self check-in to the gourmet breakfasts which were served at 7 separate, beautifully decorated tables in their GIANT dining area. The breakfasts were absolutely phenomenal (see pics! ) Magnolia Place was in the perfect location to check out some local wineries, that are also practicing extreme social distancing procedures. It is clear they all want to stay open so have many safety procedures in place. Most are outdoors with heaters so you never have to be inside. I think Ron and Katy told us there are 24 wineries over a 8 mile stretch with Magnolia Place nestled right in the middle! Lexi, the house dog, was the best behaved black lab who welcomed us to breakfast each morning. (She would be even cuter without the OSU collar but we didn’t hold it against her! ). Probably our favorite part of this house were the multiple porches to relax and enjoy a bottle of wine while you watched the sunset. It does sit fairly close to a busy road so if you are a light sleeper maybe request a room in the back of the house. It didn’t bother us at all though! We plan on returning with friends once the pandemic ends.
Ron and Katy are perfect hosts! Their home is quiet, tastefully decorated and extremely well kept. Ron’s breakfasts are amazing… perfect portions and something for everyone. We will definitely be returning and a lot of our friends have requested information on staying here. We are dog lovers so we also enjoyed Lexi greeting us before breakfast each morning ❤️

Words can’t express how very friendly and accommodating Ron and Katy were! Everything was super clean and the breakfast was amazing! It was the perfect location around all the wineries in the area and we loved the view of the lake. We wish we stayed for more than 1 night and highly recommend it for anyone looking to visit the area. We took advantage of the short hike on the property and it was well worth it! The view was awesome and you could see for miles around the lake!
