Review of Hyatt Regency Rochester 3*

Where do I begin? Booked a 3 night stay for a conference with a company credit card. 1. They asked for a card for incidentals so I gave them my personal card. Right away a pending charge appeared for the hotel stay. I inquired and they said it's just because it's linked to the room with the company card and it will go away. 2. Room was clean and modern. However, there was a chair missing and the safe was closed and locked. I asked for the safe to be reset and they said they would send engineering. I also asked for a couple of extra towels and wash cloths. 3. The next day, the safe was still not reset. I left a note and a tip for housekeeping to please leave the items I asked for yesterday along with resetting the safe so I could use it. When I returned for the day at 3:30 pm, Housekeeping had not even been to my room. I stopped at the front desk on my way out for dinner and asked for housekeeping to go to my room. I was told they were really busy even though I hardly saw that cart move in the hallway. I returned that night and the safe was still not reset. 4. The following day, the room was serviced by housekeeping by the time I had returned at 12:00. Safe still not reset. I ordered a pot of coffee, cream and 2 cups later in the night. They delivered everything but the cups and then asked if I needed them. She returned with the cups and said I had to pay cash because there was no credit on my room. I told her there is a card on file and she can go back and figure it out. I then called the front desk and they confirmed there was a card on file. Room service called back to say it worked when they ran it again. 5. The next day I checked out. I confirmed the room charge was on the company card and the incidentals were on my personal card. They confirmed that. The day after I returned, the hotel was contacted and they said my personal card was used for the room and incidental charges. We were transferred to a supervisor and had to leave a message. So waiting to hear back tomorrow. 6. They also overbooked the hotel and tried turning away company members who were all booked with us. They bought the adjoining hotel earlier in the week and tried to move people over to there. what an awful experience.
