The absolute best vacation spot that we have been to! The owners are the most thoughtful people that we have had the pleasure to deal with. Step out of your room and right on the boat. So much to do in the village that we only scraped the surface of what’s available to do. Very clean and spacious rooms, the staff are top notch! Can’t say enough good things about Otter Creek Inn. Definitely not are last visit, can’t wait till next year. Thank you for everything.

Otter Creek Inn is a great place to stay, the owners treat you like family and are available at all times, the new boat docking is really nice with electric hookup, the new patio is extremely nice, I have been there twice and will be back next year!

Very nice and clean rooms. Walking distance to everything in the village. Located on the Otter Creek very close to the River. Docking available for your boats. Owners live on premises and are very helpful and accommodating. They are constantly doing improvements on the property. We have been coming here for over 10 years.

What a great place to stay! Quiet and peaceful enough to sleep; close enough to walk to the downtown restaurants and bars! Debbie and Dennis do a great job keeping the place clean and comfortable — absolutely the perfect place to stay in A-Bay.

Amazing! So quiet and peaceful. Close to the main gift shops and amazing restaurants. Also close by to the boat tours. Room was so comfortable, plenty of space and the ac is amazing for those hot days. Shower head is better than what I have at home. The water view is gorgeous, even with the unfortunate flooding in the areas lately. Can’t wait to go back!

The lake here in upstate New York has suffered from flooding and businesses and homes have struggled. That said, my husband and I visited Otter Creek Inn and it has arose above the water. For a affordable, simplified experience that provides the necessary accommodations to getaway from the hustle and bustle this is a great place. Everything is in walking distance including Uncle Sam boat tours to Boldt Castle and more, the amazing Alexandria Bay boardwalk and all the gems by the river. A 5-10 minute walk from Otter Creek Inn to the daily and nightly adventures in store around the Bay without parking or meters to feed.
The owners are on premise but greet you with a smile and respect as equally given. It’s a quiet and peaceful place to lay your head, fish, park your boat and keep this gem flourishing.

Quite area, a short walk or drive to downtown, on the water, well kept grounds and more. Owners very friendly, helpful and always there. Rooms are clean, updated and reasonably priced. We already returned again for another fun week. There is a boat launch there, fishing off the dock and a nice picnic area on the water front.

He brought the boat over from Kingston area. They have docking facilities for a very good rate overnight. The hotel is right on the river. Short walk to downtown. The hotel was clean but it's dated.

Just arrived home from Alexandria Bay New York. My girlfriends and I stayed at the Otter Creek Inn. Very nice rooms for a very reasonable price. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The owners Dennis and Debra Butterfield are wonderful people, very friendly and make you feel welcome at their establishment. Highly recommend the Inn as it is walking distance to downtown. Very quiet and peaceful at night, no riff raff whatsoever. Other guests were friendly as well and many stated that they are regular visitors to The Inn. Thank you Dennis and Debra for your fine hospitality. See you again next weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Otter Creek it is located near downtown and all the shops and other stores. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds sleep comfortably. Outstanding staff but they have strict rules so when the clerk at the front desk ask you to read the rules that's placed in your room read them they have strict check out times, strict times to purchase certain things and when their office hours are open and closed. It's kinda hidden away so you do not hear all the noise from the touristy areas. Overall my experience with Otter Creek was AMAZING I would definitely recommend this hotel to all.

We had a great time at The Otter Creek Inn. The rooms were clean and bright, the outdoor area was comfortable and relaxing and the staff was friendly and efficient. We WILL be going back!

I stayed at the Otter Creek Inn during the annual TI river run (bike week). The proximity to the downtown area was great. We were able to walk to events. We had a king room on the lower level. The room was very clean. Not as modern as some of the chain places but it fits the locale. The owners were extremely cordial.

Very clean and maintained well. Owners are on sight every day and are genuinly concerned about there guests. The location is set away from all the business of Main St but a short walk. Very quiet at bed time and we feel very safe at this location.

Clean, cozy and decent priced. They were able to accommodate me last minute. Very friendly. Will definitely be back!

I am not sure what the hell some of these people are complaining about! First of all, this is not a $250 a night hotel. It is in the $100 per night range and in this case, you get more than you pay for. The room was probably the cleanest hotel room I ever stayed in (and the Wi-Fi worked just fine for us). 2nd, Dennis and Deb bent over backwards to accommodate my wife and I. They are very friendly and very gracious people. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat, shop and visit (and they were right on all of them). Whenever we ran into them, they always asked how we were doing and if we needed anything. The hotel is in perfect location to walk into town but not stuck in the hustle and bustle of the action of James St. Itself. When we visit Alex Bay again, this will most certainly be the place we stay. Thanks again Dennis and Deb! Harold and Kim W.

The location was convenient and there was air conditioning. Yeah that's about it. The room was hideous and it hasn't been updated since the 1960's or 1970's. The TV was very old. The bed wasn't very comfortable. I don't recommend it.

I certify that this review is based on my own experience and is my genuine opinion of this hotel. This motel could be a great place to stay. Unfortunately they is a very mean, inconsiderate, sour old lady that patrols the place like a Jr high school hallway. She even takes her attitude and complete disrespect for others onto town property. I have witnessed her even policing the town boat launch located next to the property, yelling/screaming at people as if it was her responsibility to do so. The problem is well known by the "locals" and when brought up around people usually ends up in a social event laughing and comparing stories about her childish behavior. If you would like to be policed and bullied this is a great place to stay, however most people like privacy and not some a miserable lady yelling at you because you decided to walk diagonally across parking lot instead of straight. As for the inn… Left lots to be desired.

I'm here for the second time. Very clean and the staff very attentive. The motel is in a very quiet location and one is in 10 minutes downtown. I'm probably gefuehlt here.
