This hotel is a hidden jewel. Our room was absolutely perfect. Gorgeous hotel. The Prairie Hill restaurant was beyond delicious including yummy Margaritas. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful historic hotel, we stayed in room 205 and we had a great view of the plaza. The inside looks like a museum.

Haunted room on 3rd floor, rooms over looking the plaza, bar, restaurant and gift shop. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed our brief yet lovely stay at The Plaza on New Years Eve. The staff was welcoming and helpful, explaining the hotel and local restaurants. Our Plaza view room was beautiful… loved the high ceilings, the bed linens, Sicilian blood orange lotion (the best) and a wonderful view outside. Thank you for a pleasant experience!

Beautifully furnished room (I got a large Plaza facing room with 4 poster COMFY bed), lots of historical information around the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful but bar and restaurant closed due to pandemic so no comments on them. Spotlessly clean bathroom with LARGE shower AND jacuzzi too!

Cool spot! Slightly modernized rooms to make them palatable to the next generation, but rustic enough to jump back in history and realize the ways of the past. It's just as much a museum as it is to lay your head. Highly recommend!

Beautiful furniture throughout, antique. No bar or restaurant due to COVID. Only thing they sell is water. No phones in room, if you need the front desk you have to call them from your cell phone or go downstairs. Very historic hotel, lots of history. 2 resident ghosts, Byron Mills former owner who is said to roam the halls and a little girl along for her grandmother in the basement. Nobody is allowed in the basement anymore due to they are making offices. Byron's old office is room 310, but he roams the halls to look after his hotel.

Very special building and great staff.

If you havent ha a chance to eat here… its delicious. Breakfast menu has a blue corn pancake, with pinion (pine nuts). So so good. It's a flavor of New Mexico.

Beautiful refurbished antiques, furniture. Large gift shop. Restaurant and bar at hotel for meals all day. Large center park across the street.

I simply recommend everything about this wonderful historic hotel. But in the service industry it's not the age, it's not simply the food and it's not simply the ambiance. It's the people who are there to greet you when you arrive, who you pass in the hallways or on the stairs and greet you by name and are seriously concerned as to your satisfaction. It's the quality of food and the people who serve you. The Plaza is a wonderful building. The staff inside of this hotel are top notch in every category. I hope you enjoy it as much as I.

We have stayed here a few times over the past year. Always a great experience from all the staff. You really do feel like family here. Some very interesting stories about the hotel to be had if you just ask. The food at the Range cafe here in the hotel is excellent from breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel and the bar have a wonderful rich history. You won’t be disappointed.

A great hotel from the past brought into the future without losing the charm of the past. Staff are all impeccable, it was a pleasure staying at this well-run Historic Hotel. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone who's visiting Las Vegas New Mexico please stay at this hotel you will not be disappointed.

I stopped by the Historic Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, NM for a drink and dinner. The seating outside is limited but is a nice place to hang out and watch the people passing by. I sat in the bar and enjoyed a draft beer and the steak and enchiladas dinner. The food was great, and the bartender did an awesome job trying to keep up with a large crowd of customers. The property is old, historic, and beautifully maintained and shouldn't be missed if in Las Vegas.

We went for dinner and the food was excellent. Presentation was as good as flavor. Speaking of flavor, the green chili certainly has a kick to it. So for those who have a sensitive pallet I would not advise ordering the chili, although it's great. I would say the service is a bit on the slow side, the food is worth the wait. I stopped in the lobby note way out and bought a piece of orange creamSICKle cake. It was heaven.

I stay at tons of hotels throughout the year but I can't say enough great things about this beautiful hotel! The hotel is perfectly located in the quaint little center of town. The hallways are filled with amazing antiques. I especially loved the pictures of all of the famous people that have stayed at the hotel. My room was gorgeous! It felt more home like than staying at a typical "hotel. " Sean, that works at the front desk, was super helpful! He made the stay there even more enjoyable. It's so nice to meet someone who genuinely enjoys their job. And the restaurant located at the hotel is filled with some of the most delicious food I've eaten in a while. I recommend the elote appetizer. This is now my go-to hotel when I'm in town visiting my daughter at school.

Amazing hotel! Friendly staff! The room was clean. Definitely pet friendly! The staff was always extra helpful anytime we needed anything. The food is also great!

Traveling from Tucson while heading to cooler temperatures we stopped over for a one night stay at the historic Plaza Hotel. ALAN, our check in agent, made sure we were informed about parking, places to dine and even gave us complimentary vouchers for our morning coffee. And the complimentary coffee was Divine! What a delightful historical place to spend the night!

Absolutely wonderful! We had the most amazing time at the Plaza Hotel. The rooms are fabulous, the entire place is enchanting. The staff is amazing, the food was amazing. They are very dog friendly which is in my opinion the best thing ever! We were able to sit an a little outdoor dining area, get full food/bar service and have the dogs right there with us. I highly recommend spending time at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas New Mexico!

We loved visiting this hotel for lunch today! Then we were able to walk around all 3 floors to see the photos, and room descriptions of Hollywood's who's who that stayed there! We want to go back and stay overnight in a room! It's beautiful and maintained. The rooms are updated and really nice from peaking in them as they were being cleaned.

Beautiful Victorian hotel with many original furnishings. Filled with historic photographs and artifacts. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The Range Cafe, out of Bernalillo, has a branch in the lobby area, so you can count on good food and coffee. Highly recommend.

Great service. I enjoyed the hotel. Stayed in the "haunted" room. No ghosts. I was a little annoyed with some teen age boy knocking and asking if I was having any strange going ons. I would have liked a little more security because of the room being shown on a TV show before.

The hotel clerk pointed out there are no phones in the rooms so guests can have a more authentic 1880’s experience. It was my own fault if I sullied that experience by watching Ratatouille on the enormous flat screen TV.

Nice place to stay. Great service. Alot of history. Make sure to look at all the pictures in the hallways. It was beautifully decorated at Christmas. I wasn't too excited about the restaurant though. Would stay here again.

Beautiful historic hotel in Las Vegas NM. The front desk personnel are warm and friendly. Loved the bar area with large windows along the front to allow viewing of the plaza. Food and service is wonderful. Must take time to wonder the halls. I stayed on the older side due to my love of antiques. The furnishings are fitting to a historic hotel and some of the rooms have plaques telling of famous actors/actresses that were guests of the hotels. Really cool! Loved the hotel and the area with a diverse architectural plaza. Must walk the plaza and downtown. Lovely area and people. Will visit again.

This hotel is really well kept, especially by New Mexico standards. The night porter was very kind and courteous. The highlight of our visit was the breakfast in the restaurant. Blue Corn blueberry pancakes and oatmeal are really excellent!

Super friendly and helpful staff, great historic hotel. Enjoyed our comfortable room overlooking the square. Range Cafe was a treat, not just convenient but excellent fare.

The Plaza Hotel was such a wonderful place to stay. Our room was spacious & very comfortable. Dinner was delicious & the wait staff were very friendly & helpful. The next morning we had blue corn pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee & toast. Everything was so good! We had a great time & would definitely stay again!

Beautiful old hotel! Lots of information about the hotel and the people who have stayed in it. Gorgeous rooms with plenty of space. If you get a Plaza room you get a lovely view too.

The staff was AMAZING. Sean is a wonderful historian and had amazing customer service. He loved telling us about the history of the hotel and was incredible during every interaction.

We just stopped in for a night during a roadtrip, but I could have stayed for days. The hotel was gorgeous, service exemplary, the room comfortable, clean, and inviting. I ended up reading through about 3 of the books on the bookshelf. I really loved all the books everywhere. And they gave us a beyond reasonable rate. I'm inclined to make it a point to go back next time I'm in the area. Would be a great venue for an intimate wedding. It's beautiful.

Wonderful historic hotel on the plaza! Super nice and helpful staff and comfortable and beautiful rooms. Rates are more than fair. Complimentary tea, coffee, cocoa offered until 11 am each day for guests. There is an attached bar and restaurant. The restaurant serves breakfast standards with a regional twist and uses as many local suppliers as possible for ingredients which is neat! The hotel is also within walking distance of many other restaurants and shops. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a great hotel! The staff was so friendly, the accommodations great, the gift shop wonderful and the dining room offered a delicious breakfast! We travel with our little rescue dog, Andy, and the hotel was very pet friendly. If you like interesting, sometimes creeky, unique places to stay, the Plaza is a hotel you must try! If you only like Hampton type places then move on… but you'll be missing a fine experience!

Great place, good location. Very professional staff at front desk and in the restaurant. Right on the plaza within walking distance of coffee shops and other various shops. It's worth a little walk around.

Hands down my favorite hotel stay anywhere. There is nothing I can say negative from start to finish. The hotel, the ambiance the staff and the restaurant keep me coming back time after time. I work in northern NM regularly and used to stay in the chain hotels to get my points. The Plaza is my one exception, it's worth not getting my points for such a cool experience. I will also add that Sean who runs the front end, Danielle who works in the restaurant and Patrick in the bar are a huge part of the experience, they actually make you feel like a local and from someone as anti-social as me that is quite a feat. I LOVE this place!

Loved this quaint historical hotel! The staff was wonderful, fun and professional. Very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The food and drink was excellent. We will definitely stay there again and again!

Overall great experience. When I made the reservation I wasn't aware that scenes from No Country for Old Men were filmed here. Turns out lots of famous people have stayed here and they have plaques on the doors of some of the rooms where they've stayed. This hotel is steeped in history and sits on the town plaza. Really just delightful.

This place is a true gem!. Locals hang out here. Fun fact, it's been the filming location for many great movies. There are pictures of movie stars on the rooms where they stayed during filming. Watch "No Country for Old Men", then visit the Plaza… stay in Woody Harrelson's room. You may have trouble sleeping. Also, there is a haunted room. Too much fun.

We happened along the Plaza Hotel quite by accident. Our plans were to stay in Raton for the night, but we decided to move on to Las Vegas, NM. In reviewing places to stay, we thought the Plaza looked to good to be true. Historical setting, beautifully appointed and very reasonably priced. When we arrived, it was an excellent experience through and through… the staff is friendly and courteous and the building is perfect. Such history with elegance and charm. The bed was really comfortable and the dining room serves an excellent breakfast. As a bonus, I was looking around and poked my head in a darkened room that turned out to be a ballroom… the owner of the hotel walked up behind me and turned on the lights and continued to give me a history of the hotel and the area. He was very down to earth and could not have been nicer and he had a passion for the area that was very easy to see. This was one of our favorite stops during our Western trip and we cannot wait to return, with the Plaza Hotel being one of our future stays.

Wow, what an amazing find! We live finding historic hotels and this place makes our Top 10 list easily. Restored to its original Victorian charm, the owners used local artisans for the furnishings and restoration. Take a step back in time and enjoy the gorgeous stairways, parlor, dining, plaster, mouldings and woodwork. There was something new to explore around every corner. A multitude of places to sit and read any of the hundreds of books that grace every room and floor. Bed and pillows were comfy but they use those half-pillows that are becoming so popular, but you only get 4 to a king bed and that was fine for sleeping, but not for lounging in bed. The headboard hits the back of your head, so you need enough pillows to prop you up and buffer your head and neck. Obviously this was not a huge deal as we didn't bother calling and asking for more pillows. They are pet friendly, and the beautiful little park in town square style right across the street was wonderful for puppy strolls. The restaurant in hotel was phenomenal and really convenient!

The service was very helpful and friendly. They had delicious desserts! It was a beautiful hotel. Very appealing to the eye. Within walking distance of the downtown Plaza. Lots of wonderful awesome unique shops… :)

The hotel has been beautifully restored. The staff is friendly and amazing! The food and bar are also phenomenal! A stay at this historic hotel/city is a must for history buffs, nature enthusiasts, or for those wanting to get away from the bustle of the big city. Skip Albuquerque and enjoy the charming city of Las Vegas, New Mexico instead. Also, did I mention the gorgeous art and furniture adorning the passageways as well?

We didn't stay at the motel (maybe next trip) but we had a delightful time stopping in to tour the building and have lunch in the restaurant. Lots have big name stars have stayed at this motel and some scenes from famous TV shows and movies were filmed either on premises or nearby. The food and service for lunch was great as was the atmosphere. The entire hotel is charming and they welcome folks to have a look around. (I think they even give guided tours. ) Make sure to stop in the gift shop in the back, lots of neat things there.

It was charming, well-maintained, clean and the service was excellent. The price was reasonable and location was very quaint. I wish we were staying more than one night!

Great hotel — clean, comfortable room. So much nicer than any of the chain hotels. High ceilings, nice furniture, very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone. The price was very fair.

I have to give this place 5 stars. It is super charming and authentic and the staff couldn't possibly be more friendly and helpful. It is perfectly maintained and nicely quiet. Great atmosphere, sense of history, and just a general "feel" of staying in something genuinely historic. And the restaurant! Wow! I don't know when I've ever eaten food that yummy! If this hotel is a travelling option for you, don't miss it.

I had a wonderful stay. I spender my Christmas eve there with my family. The food was delishous and the room's were amazing. Every thing was high quality. The people were super nice and the place were the hotel was was beautiful. I lived it.

Very courteous and helpful staff in both the hotel and restaurant. We stayed in one of the octagonal Premium Victorian rooms and it was all that we expected — nicely maintained and clean. The only shortcoming of note was the showerhead was ~5' high, not ideal for folks of average+ height. The restaurant had a nice selection of traditional and local fares and a robust drink menu to accompany the food. Both dinner and breakfast were very enjoyable and reasonably priced. As for Las Vegas itself, we were only passing through so I can't adequately comment on local attractions; we did however make a quick stop by the Montezuma hot springs just down the road and those were nice.
