Cigarette burns in the sheets. Front desk asked me to hand people there towls out that were with me instead of politely doing it them selfs ive seen better definitely just a place to sleep real quick and leave.

The good stuff: friendly and helpful staff who offered to upgrade our room to two queen beds for no extra charge. The bad stuff: Like other folks, I found mystery hairs in the bed. At first I thought it could have possibly been a fault of the dryer, but then I found similar hairs all over the walls of the shower. The blankets had burns in them, the lampshades had water damage, the cleanliness of the bathroom could be debated, and the room had a mysterious smell. Fortunately no sign of bed bugs. Your breakfast is a choice of two cereals, some bread, and a pastry. If you're in an emergency and need a place to stay for the night, this place is passable. I've been staying here, for about a week now begoinning on the 3rd with no problems. On the 10th of July 2018 Brandy attends the front desk called and said I had an hour to go and pay the remaining balance on both of the rooms I have booked here, or else I'd be asked to leave the premises the total charges resulted in about 340 dollar charge to my account, with about 4 charges that were done doubled draining my account and has left me waiting for them to be refunded… on the 11th I tried to book both of my rooms for another 4 days but the front desk told me I'd have to pay a room depisit for both rooms even though I was charged the day before and checked out and back in by another employee who gave me the impression that both of my rooms were paid for and the deposits taken care of.

Places Rundown smells like smoke people didn't know what to do to get me into a room and when I got into my room there was s*** on my toilet seat.

The room smelled awful. It smelled like old mildew. The beds were hard as rocks. The bedding was itchy and scratchy. When we went to shower there was someone else's hair still in there. Although, the lady who checked us in was very helpful and nice.

Love it. Nice quite. And privacy well kept. And only $10.00 for a pet!

Location is pretty nice in Espanola. Rooms are fairly nice they don't have a fridge though but nice showers. The parking lot is video surveillance so if you're a worker like me with lots of tools and money in your vehicle you can sleep well knowing it's safe.

What a sweet surprise! With no other vacancies in town, we stayed at this very inexpensive motel despite the reviews. The building itself was rundown. However, the desk clerk was friendly, patient, and helpful. Although the bedding looked old, it was clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. Everything worked, there were sufficient towels, and the room temperature was just right. The hallways were quiet, and I could not hear the conversations in the rooms next door. The continental breakfast was adequate for the room price, and the coffee was good! I would stay here again.

Worst place ever roof rains and people r eude and I want my cash back and will never stay here again and dont if u want a good night sleep.

Horrible. Horrible. And property manager Helen is a beast of a human. Horrible to her employees. Refused to help… If only I could post pictures. I am reporting them to the healthy district and filing complaints as far up the chain of command as possible… Sink covered in cigarette burns, paint, stains… and cockroaches running in bowl. Lamps busted with a hand written sign that says "turn knob" but there is no knob. Had to move table and unplug to shut it off. Lamp shade covered in water stains. Walls have filth and food on them. Tub is stained and blood on wall by toilet just left to try. No trash bag in rubbish can. I slept on a picnic blanket I had in the car out of fear of what could be in the bed. All sheets had random black stains … I hardly slept. My skin is crawling. … P. S. Wi-Fi sucks.

1/5 stars. The gal at the front desk helped us find the location. There are now lights in the parking lot. We were charged for two nights after staying one. Don’t plan on receiving a refund. There was no staff at the desk when we needed to check out. Dirty room. The website at the time advertised hot waffles with breakfast. There were no waffles and very little breakfast. The main picture online of the lobby is not from this location. We slept in our clothes because the sheets were not clean. We didn’t use the shower because there’s mold in the bathroom. The trash wasn't emptied upon arriving. This was the filthiest hotel I have stayed in.

When I made the reservation I requested a room downstairs because I have a broken ankle and I am on crutches and I am not supposed to put ANY pressure on my foot. When we got there I was told there were only upstairs room, I asked if they would cancel my reservation so I could find a room elsewhere that was downstairs and I was told I would still be charged they would not cancel. I had to force myself through the pain and walk upstairs. When we for to the room there was only 1 set of hand towels and no big towels. None of the trashcans had liners and the comforters had big holes in them fromcigarettes and they looked filthy! The hallways smelled of smoke and we were in a NO SMOKING room. I stay at many choice hotels and this one definitely does not belong in the choice category. The toilet ran ALL night and shower was broken with minimal pressure but we were told no other rooms available.

The hotel was decent at best. They were stingy with amenities, including not even leaving trash bags in the rooms. They also promised coffee 24/7 in the lobby, and when I woke up yhere was none, and no staff in sight.

Clean basic room. Good value.

The room was dirty, the bathroom smelled, plus there was stains on the carpet and the ceiling. It said that it was a no smoking room, yet the bedsheet had cigarette burns. The curtains were torn and the fridge wasn't really working along with the TV. The place was hidden behind a restaurant and it wasn't exactly the safest place. We tried to switch hotels, but it took almost an hour or two on the phone and it didn't even work. They told us to contact the general manager, but they were not there. Not to mention that a man who was at the inn was hitchhiking while holding a (what looked like one of the inn's) TV. I don't know for sure though, so I hope it wasn't. Thankfully, the woman at the desk was very helpful and gave us a refund. Overall, the only good thing about this place was the desk clerk and the refund.

When I go to a hotel I expect: Clean, fresh smell, clean rooms and fresh CLEAN sheets in good repair. The cover for bed had stains on it which made me wonder if it had been washed. The entire hotel smells stale and there appears to be black mold in the bathroom.

Espanola is one of the oldest cities in the US. It was here before the declaration of independence was signed. That being said this place is a hole. This hotel represents the hole perfectly. The swimming pool was broken but we had already checked in before the lady at the desk mentioned it and it looks like they have no intention of ever fixing it. The breakfast is sad. NO WAFFLES, they promised a waffle breakfast in all the ads. Don't come or stay in Espanola. The people are small and crazy and don't want you hear.

5 stars for the polite staff. Hotel 0 stars. Wish I took pictures to explain… Extremely dim lit parking lot, they said they were working on fixing the lights… I don't care, SWF here I almost didn't go to my reservation when I arrived because I was scared to walk through the lot, but I couldn't find another hotel. Make fun of me but if your a girl alone at 2am and want to walk through a dark quiet alley then go for it. I promise you a single mom with kids would have felt the same as me. Only one single light in the front of the door… the rest of the entire lot was not lit! Secondly, I should have taken a picture of the mold growing all over the curtains in my room from a past leak in the ceiling where you could see the mark. The room was dusty. My sheets had stains on them. I don't think they were cleaned, only made the bed. The tub had dust in it and pieces of dirt, it was presentable yes, older hotel, but I went to fill the tub and changed my mind when I saw this dirt. I used to be a hotel housekeeper and this is unacceptable I'm sorry. The staff was very nice and helpfull. Front desk and housekeepers, very polite and helpfull. The girl on the phone was very nice, I called twice and she was more than helpful. The housekeepers let me sleep as late as possible, and were friendly when I had almost exceeded my check out time. The girl actually gave me 20 more minutes to get myself together but I was ready to go at that time and just thanked her.

The hotel is being renovated. I have never seen nicer and more helpful staff.

From beggining to end this experience was terrible. Issues with their credit card system causing a "decline" issue but charges applied to card. I received a receipt showing paid with 0.00 balance. Bank confirmed charges. I later come back to room to find I am locked out. Staff here is terrible and rooms suck. Staff still had the audacity to make me pay cash and start process again. STAY AWAY from this hotel. Wouldn't suggest to my worst enemy.

The "manager", Kim, is probably one of the worst people I have met in my entire life. I almost believe that she's actually the janitor and happens to take calls on her free time. She learned her people skills from the wolves that she was raised by. Kim the "manager" needs to be fired and given an application to be a lunch server at the prison.

This is by far the worst room I have ever rented. It is dirty, carpet torn, lights dim, comforter has more cigarette burn holes than can be counted. Room smells of cigarettes and urine and thats just the inside. The outside looks like the production of a bad horror flick. Am I being punked right now? I will never stay here again.

Rodeway Inn in Espanola is great clean friendly affordable and the staff was on top of ther game I would stay again anytime and with China Kitchen next door what more could I have asked 4

The good: This hotel is inexpensive, centrally located, has a friendly staff and is pet friendly. The bad is that it's poorly maintained, the continental breakfast was the worst I've ever had, and it's very, very, very noisy. What I mean by maintenance are things like a broken shower-head in my room, a broken towel shelf, broken AC controls — — and that was just MY room. I had to stay for two nights and found it to be impressive that they were able to somehow provide a screaming baby twenty-four-hours-a-day. That's impressive. If the crying baby wasn't thoughtfully provided by the guests in the room next to mine, as it was in my case, it was provided by the staff who brought their crying babies from home to continue the great continuous crying tradition. As I'm typing this there is a baby crying in the hallway. I envy his ability to wail constantly. I wonder if the hotel puts these babies through special training so they can cry for hours without passing out. It's impressive, in a terrible sort of way.

No pool or hot tub — its been closed for months/years? No coffee or coffee maker in the room. No clock of any sort. No remote for the TV. Room was supposed to have a king bed. It was king headboard anchored to the wall with queen mattress. Two of the three pillows were disintegrated in lumps. Huge water stain and wet ceiling. Room smelled like mold. No bar soap. Everywhere a corner can be cut, it has been. I could go on, but you get the idea. This entire property is suffering from serious neglect.
