Beautiful hotel lobby and ambience, the room was spacious, however the Food Sucked! Breakfast and Dinner was very over-price and not good!

I want to give a big shout to Shelton Thompson for his unbelievable customer service. Shelton helped me make my proposal go perfectly. He videoed the entire event, something that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Feel free to use it as advertising future proposals. Such a great space for it.

The service was generally underwhelming. Took one hour to get a decaf coffee! After they told me they did not have any. Staff is tired.
Rooms dated. Our room smelled of old cigarettes. Not worth the money.

Amazing as expected. The hotel is beautiful with a fabulous lobby. The bed and pillows are comfortable. My room was on the 21st floor with the view of the city hall. Ritz Carlton is known for superb customer service coming from their employees and they did not disappoint. I'll be back and I highly recommend this fabulous hotel.

Had a wonderful intimate 20th wedding anniversary celebration w/fam and friends. Could not be more grateful enough for the warm accomodation from your gracious staff and we all enjoyed the food at Aqimero.

Had a wonderful stay at the Ritz. We are not fancy people, but we were treated as if we were. Valet staff is awesome!

Why aren't there 10-stars! my family needed a getaway and we went chose the ritz-carlton. From beginning to end, the experience was totally beautiful. The food was oh-so good.

You always get a good feeling when you enter the ritz carlton. The staff was nice. They have a nice restaurant downstairs with a great bar. I had a colleague staying there. The hotel rooms are nice especially the bath I felt was much better than other hotels. Its very spacious. Being located right across from the city hall, it has great views.

Our third time staying at the Ritz and this time was the best! From the front desk staff, to the Club Suite Staff and concierge it was a top notch experience! Thank you!

I was picking up a package at the front desk. The lobby of the hotel was beautiful, though the concierge desk was a little hidden off to the side. The hotel was incredibly busy due to an international soccer tournament, but the employee assisting me was very kind and patient. She provided me with excellent service.

What a disappointment. My husband took me here for our wedding anniversary and it was mediocre at best. The restaurant inside the hotel had terrible service. We waited 20+ minutes to have our order taken and almost an hour for our breakfast (and it came out wrong). There was an erroneous $130 room service charge on our departure bill that we didn’t make. And finally-they tried to place me with a male masseuse-when I specifically requested a female upon booking. It certainly didn’t meet my standards. The Ritz is like the Rolls Royce of hotels. As I noted-our stay was mediocre at best.

I loved our stay here. Beautiful, elegant, the bar had great drinks, and breakfast was lovely. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, courteous, and pleasant! I highly recommend The Ritz-Carlton.

Nice hotel. The rooms were renovated. The lobby is impressive and a nice place to have drinks. Great location. Very nice staff. If you get a room that overlooks city hall, enjoy it, as it’s awesome!

Beautiful architecture and ambience. Rooms are ample and lovely, lives up to RC brand expectations. Lobby bar is pricey (as you would expect) but wine and liquor selection is top-shelf and you go to have Steve serve up the drinks.

I have never stayed at the Ritz but I always make it my business to drop by for a visit in its luxurious lobby as I take care of business in Center City. Even sitting for a cup of coffee there can brighten my day. In true Ritz-Carlton fashion, the staff is always very nice and accommodating. The couches are very comfortable. The bathrooms are always clean. It is a great oasis of luxury in the midst of an otherwise chaotic location.

We stayed here for one night. The room was nice, with an amazing view of City Hall. The lobby is gorgeous, though we did not get the chance to have a drink in the bar. There's small but well-equipped fitness center. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and very accommodating with both an early check-in and a late check-out. We will be back the next time we're in town.

This is a phenomenal hotel in many ways. It is located in the city center, it has many restaurants and shopping stores nearby, and has plenty of accessible transportation (public bus, subway, and taxi). The food here is decent, a bit overpriced for what it is, but good none the less. The drinks are top notch. I recommend visiting here for happy hour. The accommodations are excellent, they have room service twice a day if needed. The rooms have bottled water. There isn't a refrigerator but ice machines on every floor. Valet is free if you stay here. It takes fifteen minutes to retrieve your vehicle however. Overall, I highly recommend.

Nice hotel in a central location. Surprised that they did not have a staff elevator. Half-eaten food would sit outside the elevator banks and staff would be carrying food in and out of the same elevators as guests. This was appalling to menfor a five star hotel. Elevators were also horrendously slow. But staff was friendly and rooms were very nice and clean. If they can fix the staff/guest elevator situation, this hotel would get my five stars.

Just went for a drink in the lobby. Beautiful architecture and lighting made for a nice atmosphere. Our bartender was very good. I don't drink, but when I asked about a non-alcoholic offering, she was quick to accommodate. She asked my flavor preferences and when I told her "fruity", she did not disappoint. It was beautiful, tasty, and very reasonably priced. I so appreciated the thoughtfulness. They also had complimentary popcorn which was top notch.

Very beautiful historical building with huge marble pillars. Stayed for 3 nights. Everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The room was very clean and attended to often. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Not every room has a great view but : what can you do? The only critique I have is the room lacked a few special touches for a five star hotel. For instance, there were no bags in the bathroom trash can or little bags to put in used feminine products. There wasn't a washcloth designed to take off make up. However, the staff was very nice when addressing this concerns and was helpful.

I was disappointed; The details were not taken care of as you would expect in a hotel of that category. The deal in the restaurant (repeatedly) inappropriate: "Hi guys, how're you doing today? ".
Billing errors for those who did not apologize if they corrected right away.

Fine hotel, but not 'outstanding". Bar feel like an airport terminal. No special treatment for platinum members, refrigerator for example. Poor chair for relaxing in the room, and this was supposed to be an upgraded room. Better than the options in Philly downtown. Stay at the study in University City if location isn't critical.

Day staff was very helpful, nice views, rooms always clean and temporary space livable through my stay. Staff always gave on point directions to tourist attractions. Evening staff was concerning. One evening after returning to my room I felt my personal items in the bedroom area had been ransacked including my suitcase in the closet. The following evening that proved to be true. A hairband was found on the floor near the bed and a yogurt I intended to eat that evening was removed from the cooler! The cable reception was often not working. In spite of the negative review I would stay there again. Just display the PRIVATE sign.

I had No problems. I was only poor an event and the hotel was elegant.

The event staff, the bell staff and valet are all world-case. The front desk is well below average insofar as knowing what is going on in their own hotel. Communication and caring are in short supply at this location. After being promised that the Christmas decorations would stay up on the day of our wedding, they were not. After being assured that our 6 rooms would be ready for a 12 noon check-in, they were not. Our "Executive Suite" was nice but right next to the elevators and we were greeted by the loud hum of a dehumidifier in the bathroom upon arrival. The gift bags we prepared for our guests that were checking in for the night were not staged per plan and when they tried to recover, ended up delivering several to the wrong rooms. There was no signage or assistance with guests trying to find the room for the ceremony and we had people texting us to find the room. The wedding and reception were a huge hit and we will have great memories forever. Sadly, we will also have memories what it could and should have been. Any recommendations we ever make concerning the Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia will always have and asterisk.

First of all, the rooms, hotel lobby, concierge, and valet are all amazing, of course. But I came for new year’s, and the price seemed really steep at the time. I was totally wrong. Meredith, the chief of operations, brought us up a bottle of champagne after our friends had realized the liquor stores were all closed. She, along with the rest of the staff, was super helpful. Great time all around, highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. Was told it used to be a bank back in the day. Very fancy, nice beds and pillows. Nice roomy bathrooms as well. I see why people like the place now!

My dinner companion and I had a reservation at Aqimero but were stuck in traffic. We called and the staff were so kind and understanding about the delay. When we arrived we were seated and the evening continued to be full of excellent choices. Our server was knowledgeable and helped with recommendations when trying to choose between the chef's specialties. The cheese board was plain, but the bread service with tomato jam and ricotta was delicious! The sweet and spice of the jam was perfect on the flatbread. The braised short rib was tender and incredibly flavorful. It comes with a very fine puree of sweet potatoes that had just the right amount of sweetness. We also ordered the Brook trout and the salty crisped skin was perfect! Service was attentive and the manager Eddie stopped by a few times to ensure our meal met our expectations. Overall it was a beautiful dinner.

The Ritz Philadelphia is consistently an amazing hotel. The weekend I stayed the hotel was sold out, but the staff still went above and beyond to accommodate my reqeusts. Even though the hotel was very busy, they always took the time to answer all of my questions completely and make sure I was taken care of before moving to the next customer. The hotel itself is also very beautiful, the building is historic and the rooms are very comfortable.

Service is very nice, and people proactively approach and ask if you need any help when you look lost. Very nice ambiance in a cool architectural style building. The restaurant and bar has a very nice decor.

Had a breakfast meeting here. Very accommodating and the food was excellent. People were absolutely amazing as well. The main lobby/bar/restaurant area is really cool. It was an old bank that was converted into their lobby and dinning area.

Fabulous hotel well situated across from City Hall, convenient to all the things to do and see downtown. Super comfortable rooms, excellent customer service, really cool lobby. Small complaint was the tiny fitness room — you gotta be kiddin. Otherwise, highly recommended!

The lobby is incredible. The staff are all extremely friendly and happy to help. The rooms are amazing, extra soft beds, beautiful bathrooms and nice new TVs.

We celebrated our anniversary at the Ritz. Everyone was friendly and the room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. They sent up a cookie tray for us and let us have a late check-out. It was a very nice experience.

The hotel was very elegant. The staff was super nice and also accommodated all of my requests. I had planned a night for proposing to my girlfriend and their guest relations team executed the plan I had laid out flawlessly. All members that I interacted with were notified of my situation either by mouth or through their computers. The beds were also super comfy, and the view of City Hall on the 26th floor was amazing. Overall, my fiance had an amazing time and could not have imagined anything better.

I took my boyfriend to Philly for his birthday and stayed at the Ritz. At check-in they were able to upgrade us to a city view room on a high floor with a fantastic view of city hall. They then offered to comp our breakfast as we had arrived very early in the morning and were super hungry. Then, even more amazing, we received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco that evening! Overall, the staff at the Ritz was the nicest, most welcoming bunch and made our mini-vacation as special as possible. I don't want to go home! I'll be recommending this hotel to everyone and any time I'm in Philly I'll make a point to stay here. Thank you, Ritz-Carlton!

The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Philadelphia is a nice hotel, with out of this world generous people, but we had a lot of issues there. First we got upgraded to a presidential suite which was amazing, but there were three or four things broken, and in the morning the plates had something weird on them. It is a nice hotel, but not the best Ritz I've ever been to.

Wonderful hotel. Everything you would expect; really lives up to it's name. Food was fantastic, beds divinely comfortable and concierge was very helpful. Fantastic views. Right in the heart of the city.

The room, the service, and the bar drinks were top notch. Enjoyed my stay tremendously and will definitely be back. You can't go wrong when offered water or champagne at check in! Love the views from my corner room.

Extremely luxurious hotel with great rooms at a price that's not as high as you'd expect. I stayed here for one night and as a platinum rewards member I was upgraded to a suite. The room was enormous, quiet, comfortable, and had the best bathroom I've ever used. The bathtub and shower alone are worth the price of admission, highly recommend!

Love the location and the remodel of this hotel. The staff is always amazing and accommodating. Byron at the front desk is what makes the Ritz such a special place. Always smiling and looking for ways to make your stay just a little better.

I love this place. We had breakfast in the hotel and the food was great and so was the service. I had breakfast waitress and her name is Mayra and she is the best.

Didn't stay in a room. Stopped to have breakfast. Place was very nice and very clean. All staff was friendly and approachable.

Not what I expected for a 5-star hotel. The worst thing was the dangerously slippery tile on the shower floor. Seriously — 4" highly polished marble tile is NOT a good idea for a shower floor. The shower in my room was designed such that I had to stand inside while turning on the water. The valve wasn't the kind where you could easily set the temperature, and when icy-cold water started spraying out of the showerhead, I involuntarily jumped backwards and almost fell. The hotel didn't provide any grab bars or anything to hold onto in the event of slipping in the shower. I had to be very careful each time I took a shower for fear of serious injury. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Otherwise, the newly-renovated room was nice enough, but there wasn't a comfy chair to sit in. The desk chair was just OK, and the beds were too high to sit on casually. The lighting left a lot to be desired — there was a very dark area in the logical place to set up my suitcase on the wobbly suitcase stand. The toilet paper was atrocious — it seemed to be the cheapest type the hotel could find. It disintegrated upon contact with human skin.

Amazing customer service. The views from some of the rooms on the top floors overlook city hall. Incredibly comfortable bed. Beautiful old building.

Very good service, very friendly staff. Room was pretty standard; nothing much to write about. I'm not quite sure it is worth the price, even discounted via Priceline's bidding system. The location is not the most optimal, as the financial district is a ghost town during weekends, but it's only a short walk away from what Philadelphia has to offer.

I've attended a few conferences and stayed at this particular Ritz Carlton. It's what you would expect form a top tier hotel; Staff is great, lots of amenities and luxury comforts etc… But it's most appealing draw besides location is the breathtaking historic building itself. Walking in (now under construction) there is a vast rotund open-air ballroom. The room is lined with blocks of marble perfectly detailed supported and surrounding by massive granite columns. The neoclassical architecture is modeled off Rome's Pantheon; and it doesn't disappoint. Be sure to order the tiramisu during your stay.

My fiance and I have gone here a few times to get drinks. Staff and service is always wonderful. Last time we were there we also had the creme brulee and it was fabulous.

Excellent hotel. Great views from my room of Philadelphia's City Hall. Wonderful lobby, courteous staff, clean, well appointed and LARGE rooms (at least compared to New York). Terrific on all accounts. Just a great way to experience Philadelphia.
