Great location! I have had several stays and keep returning when I find myself in Philadelphia. It is beautiful and comfortable and most hotels simply cannot offer this experience.

What a lovely place to stay. The staff were incredible, breakfasts were amazing, the area was beautiful, location convenient, and the facility was immaculate. Absolutely loved staying there and slept like a dream. Easy access to public transportation, restaurants, shopping, and attractions.

Really nice bed and breakfast. Spacious suite with kitchen and great service from everyone. Convenient to Philadelphia city center while being in a quiet residential area.

Extremely pleasant B&B. I was in the "La Chateaux" room and it was perfect. The bathroom is shared with another room but I never met them. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast delicious. The staff helpful and professional. Definitely worth much more than the money I spent :)

Price-wise, this is probably the best value in center city. Stayed in the Hunt Suite. The room was huge. Lots of space to move around. Not cramped. Staff was friendly and breakfast was fairly standard. I would probably say 4.5 stars overall.

La Reserve was absolutely beautiful. The room (Lafayette) was very spacious with a nice size kitchen and very comfortable bedroom. The breakfast the next morning was very tasty as well. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in Philadelphia.

Great value for the money. Great conversation with educated, worldly people around the single large breakfast table. Big room, nice antiques, great location. Wi-Fi worked most of the time.

It was cool for what it was. I expected more especially when it came to breakfast for all the money I pay for the room. But everything was cool. The manager and staff was good. Wish I had a fridge, ice machine or TV tho. Lol. I probably wouldn't come back.

Great gem close to Rittenhouse square. The innkeeper and the rest of the staff are all very nice and welcoming. As with any b&b, the best part is meeting fellow travelers over breakfast or in the living room with a glass of wine or cup of tea. It is truly one of the best ways to travel. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Philly.

Just wanted to thank the staff for our lovely stay. Katrina welcomed us warmly on our first day there. Great location and a fantastic breakfast! If we are ever in Philly again we would definitely come back to this place.

Was very cozy no t. V in room I guess thats whats the bed & breakfest experience is about. Had to walk up 3 flights of steps so got my exercise for the week lol like I need it! But the breakfast was wonderful. GOD BLESS the cook! But the lady that was hosting us! Was slight rude cause we did not come down at 8 p. M. So now I ask for a take out box. My momma tells her" That's a compliment if she askes for take put box". She says nothing walks away. We say "wow" and comes back 2 mins later and say "thank you". She needs to let things go and smile cause the customer experience is suppose to be friendly homely and cozy" besides that I had a great time with my mom in philly!

Great place to stay in Philly. Very quite and the people here are very kind. The breakfast was amazing, there's free Wi-Fi, and there was no problems checking in. My minor complaint was that the floors creaked a lot.

Such an agréable, elegantly cosy & welcoming guesthouse. Friendly, professional staff, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, clean spaces throughout and, my clincher, bathrobes in the rooms. I’d definitely choose this independent hotel next time in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse neighbourhood or anywhere in the vicinity. It made my business trip all the better.

We had a wonderful stay in the Penn Franklin room. The room was large, bed comfortable. The location is wonderful. Easy walk to Rittenhouse area, south street byobs for dinner, center city. Staff was nice and the weekend sit down breakfast was delicious. We will definitely come back.

Large room located on a third floor with no elevator. With a double bed, two armchairs and a desk of a very early-century style
Very friendly staff (reception until 8pm-they provide you with the code of the entrance door via mail and will make it easy to check in if you arrive after 8pm to the hotel).
Correct breakfast (with the basics + pastries made in the day)
I don't know if by bad luck or if there are more rooms like ours (we discussed it with another couple at breakfast and they commented that it was not their case) the bed was quite uncomfortable with the old mattress "of these sinking in the middle part and make you have to sleep Very together "
Summary: Very good location, room, shared bathroom and breakfast right but the bed very better.

Very clean shared rest rooms no TV no phone for thr price I could have stayed at a hotel. Street parking the city understandable I wasn't driving. Continental breakfast, could have been set up differently. I'm just picky.

We come here once a year and we love it. We live over the bridge and feel most comfortable being just a "be rite there", phone call away from our children. Its a peaceful and exquisite getaway for us. Everyone is pleasant, its very neat, clean and we love the "just us" feeling in the establishment. I call it "City quiet" atmosphere,. Lol… Those that were raised in city like areas understand what I mean… :-)

Sub par hotel. No master light switch. One had to manually go around and turn on/off each lamp. No AC/Heater temp control unit. I went during the spring so slept in sweat all night. I expected shared bathrooms to be adjoined to the rooms. Instead it was more like a hostel where you had to walk to the end of the hallway. Breakfast was alright though you could really tell how the eggs were powered and not from a cracked egg.

What a gem! Such a good find. Affordable and beautiful accommodations. The building is gorgeous on a quiet street, the breakfast is plentiful and made on-site, and there is coffee and tea on all day. My only complaint is that the door is very hard to open (old house problems). We had to share a bathroom, but that was okay since they are up-front about it when you come, and there are plenty of rooms that have their own bathrooms. A must-stay in Philly.

Charming, friendly, affordable! This is not a deluxe hotel but it's just perfect if you want to be downtown on a budget. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely decor, great space, and totally worth the night there for a getaway in the city! Just wish the water was hotter in the freezing weather.

The management and the cleaning staff at La Reserve are incredibly helpful, accommodating, friendly and professional. They went out of their way to serve my needs with my unpredictable and chaotic travel schedule. Additionally, the room was very clean and comfortable, as were the bathroom and living spaces. The location was convenient as well.

Wonderful location! Meticulously clean! Old world, almost stately public spaces. Charming suites, Wonderful breakfast. My husband and I were thrilled and delighted to discover this place and can't wait to return.
