The first night was a little rough but they accomadated us accordingly. Staff was great. We stayed from Friday to Monday. We would definitely stay again. It's no 5 star. You get what you pay for. Some people come here expecting to pay $60 a night and get the red carpet rolled out for them.

This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I had no housekeeping for the 3 days I was there. The breakfast was awful. Stale bread, toaster waffles that looked like they were moldy, margarine for toast that had crumbs from who knows how long in the container, only 1 jar of grape jelly, OJ that tasted awful. The only thing that was halfway decent was the coffee. The room was old and very dated. All the outlets by the desk were switched and the same switch controlled the overhead light, so I could either charge my devices overnight and have a light on all the time OR have a dark room and get some sleep. I eventually took the light bulb out of the ceiling fixture. The ceiling was falling down in one section. There was no fridge or microwave in my room. I wish I could give this a 0 star rating.

Pretty dire motel but only hotel located within convenient walking distance to downtown.

Do not stay here. I am sleeping in the chair because when I pulled back the covers, the sheets very obviously had not been changed, and there wad human hair on them. It was NOT mine.

Poor facilities. Rooms dirty, no smoke detector, linings had smoke holes in a non smoking room. Door didn't even shut securely for our room.

Non smoking room smelled bad, coffee maker was not cleaned but the price was very low and the location was superb. Also the room itself was fairly spacious. Couldnt log onto Wi-Fi though. Also the front desk workers from the pm and the am were extremely friendly.

A bit on the tired side, really needs a complete refurbish. But it it is in the heart of town and very close to the college.

Clean inside but dirty outside. Would hesitate staying there again.

It is located in a very nice area in Newark Delaware near almost everything such as different restaurant, Banks & ATMs, Food stores, Buses, Phone cells and very close to UD university and ELI English Language Institute Hotel rooms are fine actually it is a motel rather than a hotel the overall evolution is Ok except the restaurant Very poor and limited breakfast repeated everyday.

Good service from the desk. Decent food for breakfast.

Its ok for a quick rest it doesnt have the most fabulous amenities but im a low maintnence renter. It was cheaper than an airbnb.

The service is great depending on their mood but as far as the room goes they really put their back into cleaning them they are bug free and worth their prices for the most part. You get what you pay for.

Great location on main Street in newark. Rooms are decent value.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. Used it for a little girls sleep over. Room was ok (need to shampoo rugs tho) bathroom was fine. NO bed bugs. Service was cool. No complaints. Would recommend "in a pinch" place.

If I could give zero, I would. Waited over 20 min in office to check in and eventually called to see where they were. Got to room, lamp shades disgustingly stained, dust and filth everywhere, and our sheets were dirty. The man brought up new sheets, didn't say sorry, gave us two top sheets instead of a fitted one for mattress, and those sheets were dirty too. The last straw was when I went to look at the pillows, BLOOD STAINS on the pillow case. Luckily we were able to get a room at a better, more well known hotel. If we couldn't get one, we were going to sleep in the car. Which would've been like a 5 star motel compared to this place. Ps. I'm still itching just thinking about being in that motel room.

Dated rooms. Extremely hot when we checked in as the A/C was broken. No bed bugs. The biggest thing going for this hotel is its excellent location. It's the only hotel walkable from downtown. Very inexpensive as well.

Liars, cheaters, and drug addicts. They only accept cash, then try to come to your room and demand you paid them a wrong amount. It was way overcharged in the first place. They feign not knowing English. The room had holes in the walls. Smelled bad. And clearly had bug issues. I was serenaded by heroin addicts and their constant fights. A disgusting pit of trash. If I had been more awake and didn't need a room I would've left. I highly suggest steering clear if you cherish your safety, bodily health, and money.

It was great. The service was urgent and the staff was kind. The rooms were nice. The location gives me motivation. Great place.

Decent prices, especially if staying for a long period of time. Not the worst rooms, but could be cleaner. Biggest issue is the back portion of the parking lot is prone to a lot of suspicious activity to were the cops are there quite often (when called, and when just posting up there). A lot of drug activity, cars constantly coming in and out. On weekends loud parties are prominent, but you can't help that being so close to the college. Worse though are the reports of people being jumped in the parking lot, and having their rooms broken into during the day when not there. However all of which happens in the back lot of the building, and never had a problem when staying in the front rooms.

Three long black hairs on sheets tonight! Burn hole in sheets and horrible cover up smell. Ask for room change — non available. Had to change our own sheets! Reviews when I booked were decent now reading these horrible reviews! Whyndam you should be ashamed of yourselves. No more super 8 on east coast. Did great when heading to Colorado two years ago!

It's 5:07 am at approximately 4:49am I was woken up out of my sleep to the feeling of something crawling on me… I peel back the covers and it's a BED BUG. I recorded it running across the bumble bee printed blanket & then took the video to the front desk he stood there with a confused and said that this was the first time this had ever happened he than gave me my money back. But on top of that I was next door to a room with about 6 people to it early that night they were fighting and arguing and slamming the door and when I got up to leave because of the BED BUGS they were still loud and acting wild like ZOO animals! If I could give it less than a star I would! The only good part was that he gave me my money back easily but I was stuck with having to sleep in my car till 6:15 am until I could check into a new hotel! April 7, 2016

Good Wi-Fi. Decent rooms.

This non-smoking room smelled of tobacco smoke and so did the bedding. The room heater had a thermostat, but it didn't work. The carpet strip to the bathroom was missing, so there were exposed nails on the floor3 The clothes rack was hanging from the wall. What can say? Definitely won't be staying there again.

It was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed there where holes in the walls and it smelled like mildew.

It was really dirty, the towels were dirty and the linens were gross. Was way to expensive for such bad service.

Light bulbs missing in room, obvious cigarette stains in a nonsmoking room.

I don't know if the guy I see all the time is the owner or not. But he's a creepy mofo. He has attempted to come into my room several times. On one occasion, I was sitting in the car in the parking lot on a rainy day texting on my phone. I look up and see a couple checking out of room 106. The owner or whoever his position is… went into the room, got up the mess, clean the bathroom sink and made the bed and then check the room to some old guy. I told him that the room was never properly Clean. I also know that this so-called owner randomly go into rooms throughout the day as soon as a guest leaves to go out for a bit. He waits until they leave and then go into the rooms. He's a freaking creep/perverted guy! I am staying here for a short while because our apartment is being renovated. If you decide to get a room at the super 8, do a thorough check of the room and inspect the bed and the bed sheets. Make sure used towels and washcloths are not folded back on the rack as if they were never used, and always check for bed bugs no matter what hotel you go to.

Don't go to this hotel they are dishonest I book for a five nights for 50 and when I came they changed the price to 65.

Horrible place sex offenders in residence, crackheads knocking on your door, filthy, ceiling falling down, toilet over flowing, rooms stink so bad you will too. And the state places poor homeless people here its a sad place and should not have paying guests at all board of health should shut them down.

DO NOT STAY HERE! These people kept our credit card number and then used it to purchase things for family overseas. Unethical, shady and corrupt. If you stay here, you are just asking to be ripped off eventually.

I am a remarkably tolerant person for hotels — all I ask is for a bed and a clean shower. I'll even put up with the stink of smoke in non-smoking rooms, but sheesh. Even I have limits. This room had the apparance of having been cleaned — blankets were thrown over the beds, new soap and towels in the bathroom. And a lovely puddle of pee on the top of the toilet seat. Find another hotel, this one ain't worth it.
