We stayed at this hotel May 25th — June 1st. The total for our stay was $1191.75. When we checked in, I gave them my card and expected to be billed $1191.75 and perhaps an additional $200-$300 placed on hold for incidentals. To my HORROR, this hotel not only charged me $1, 191.75 for the hotel stay but they continued to place $851.25/PER DAY for 5 days on hold for a total of $5448.00 of our money tied up that we could not use during our vacation! I tried NUMEROUS times to get this hotel to stop placing these $851.25 holds on my account each day to no avail. They were dismissive and claimed that the manager would contact me to assist in this matter. We have been back home for 2 days and I still have not heard from this manager and still have not gotten these ridiculous holds removed from my account. They totally ruined our vacation and caused us tremendous distress by placing these astronomical holds on OUR MONEY! We had bills that were coming due at the first of June and we had to scramble to find money to cover these bills, otherwise we would have been overdrawn. We were unable to enjoy our vacation because we did not have the funds available to us to do the things that we came to New Jersey and New York to do! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

I need to share my most miserable hotel experience since long. Nothing was okay during my stay (and I hope it was only for me). 1/ the first night I went to buy some stuff and ly door keys were not working. I came back the the person in place explain me that I was not handling the card properly. I tried to explain that I was familiar with hotels but I had the impression to be dumb. After that 2 clients tried to help me he finally acknowledge that I was right… and I needed to wait the second day to get my card key right 2/ I realized when going into my bed that sheets were stained (pictures upon request) I was so tired that I did not have the courage to complain and I just went into bed like that 3/my nightmare began. My room was énarque the ice machine and it was super noisy all night long. No break. I did not sleep. I went to complain ont je morning. The only proposal was maybe the maintenance guy will wee what he can do. Box gagne of room. And they were supposed to call me back during the day. I came back at night. No news. No apology. No room change. And the second night was the same nightmare. On the check in not a single word form the person in place 4/ nobody is at the breakfast. People there are so busy that client is their last priority. I come very often for business in this area. I will obviously never come back but come on best western. I was there to spend money and to give business. Train your people. Be a bit consumer centric. Learn how to manage complain.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Let me start out by saying our entire family from all over the US came into this small town to celebrate a family wedding. 2 days before my arrival, I was charged for a weeks stay for someone else. Over 600.00 dollars that pulled from my personal checking and savings accounts. They could not help me fix this with the bank and it was their incompetence that did it to me. Then we check in and half the parking lot is covered in construction materials, because the hotel is under construction and we were never told. Starting at 6 am all we heard was banging and noises that sounded as if they were coming through the wall. On Thursday and Friday, the day of the rehearsal dinner and wedding, we had no hot water. Again no one told us. For 2 days no hot water and it is because the, "plumber lives an hour and a half away"! They had water at the front desk with fruit in it. The fruit was not changed for 4 days, do not drink it. They also thought it was genius to remove all carpet and put in hardware floors, so God Bless you if you are on the 1st or 2nd floor. For the rest of your stay you will hear every movement above you. STAY AWAY from this hotel if you know what is good for you.

Great location however can hear the trains, which didn't bother me. Everything was in walking distance, loved the whole area. Plus I had a room with a fridge and stove helped since I was there a week.

Small but more than adequate hotel in adorable town. Great central location, many resto choices within walking distance. No gym but guests can work out at nearby YMCA. Friendly and very helpful front desk staff.

This is fine reflection of human kindness. The Manager, Mike can't do enough for his guests. This Hotel is in a great location, As someone who spent 64 yrs. living in town Mike and the entire staff Really make you feel at home again. The Hotel is immaculate, comfortable and the food is very good. You can walk about town, or to the train to NYC or catch a local cab or bus in town, whatever you want to do, you can do it from here, without moving your car. D. J. D.

The location, the reception staff and check in check out was great! A shout out to Amanda and Jen! Awesome front desk staff! My suite was very spacious. As for the housekeeping and “free breakfast“ for a vegetarian was sub par! When requested for meatless egg I was told there aren’t any more eggs. Spoons were generously shared between meats and potatoes and eggs. Bagels got over and I asked if they could be replaced. I was told they need to be thawed because they’re frozen?! The room smelled bad. For a stay longer than a week I had to cook since I was already paying enough to stay. No dishwasher in the suites and no space to prep food. The fridge was tiny. Couldn’t fit the Trader Joe’s type milk carton. May be good for a short stay but definitely not for my situation.

Delightful little neighborhood hotel of top-notch caliber. Convenient walking-distance access to train station (with service to New York's Penn Station) and a myriad of wonderful restaurants. Kind and professional staff, quality bedding.

This was the most expensive Motel with the least amount of amenities that I have ever stayed in. The hotel was built in the 70s and feels like it comes from the 70s. Their free breakfast is the worst that I have ever experienced. Nothing seemed fresh. The bananas were black, the bagels and pastries were hard and dry, and the second day they were out of breakfast potatoes because, they simply ran out! Although, there were very few people having breakfast!

Love little boutique hotel in center of great town. Walking distance to lots. Keep cost down and it is a gem.

Warm, welcoming, clean, quite (in spite of near train station) close to all the fun in Westfield!

I have stayed many times over the years. You have made a couple of changes that will prevent me from returning. The first the minimum air conditioning setting was changed to 70 degrees. It's too hot! Your previous minimum was 62 degrees. 70 degrees makes us uncomfortable and affected our sleep. The second is that you are now understaffed. Three you are skimping on breakfast.

Just what I needed while on business. The staff was great, the room was better. It'll be my 1st choice whenever inthe area.

BW — Westfield was great! Very friendly staff, clean & comfortable rooms. The building is a little older, but added to the charm of the Westfield Village. Free breakfast quality was also surprisingly good. Steps from many great shops & restaurants.

Room was beautiful, and the bed was much more comfortable than the one at home. Sadly I missed the breakfast service but I have heard good things.

The hotel was a small town quaint atmosphere which we enjoyed. The guest room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel and visit again.

Absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in the door the front desk associate George was so friendly! The room had more than we could ask for with a kitchen and robes in the closet. Breakfast was amazing as Lorraine was extremely accommodating with GLUTEN and DAIRY FREE items! Offering to make me gluten free pancakes and waffles! Talk about over the top! They even offer passes to the local YMC. This place is perfectly located in downtown Westfield. So It's a 2 second walk to great restaurants and shopping. I can't wait to come back here!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. They were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The location, right in town, was perfect for us. We would stay here again.

The amenities, room features, and location of this hotel are fantastic! We had a mini-suite complete with kitchenette, dishes and cookware, spacious renovated bathrooms, and the continental breakfast was great and well-stocked! Good service from the few hotel staff we saw. We will certainly stay here again if we are in the area!

The location of the hotel is great — near shops, restaurants and the train to NYC. The rooms are on the small side and beds too hard. The staff is friendly and the complimentary breakfast was very good.

We liked our stay at this hotel. The location is great with many restaurants and stores within walking distance. It's also close to the train station. The room is spacious, and the bed super comfortable. The staff is welcoming at the front desk. The bathroom decor has been updated and is attractive. We were very pleased with our stay here, and look forward to staying here again.

Great staff and great facility. Loved the historic aspect. And the evening cookies. The breakfast was excellent. A little noisy with the trains running by, but very convenient to the commuter train if you are going to the city.

Nice clean rooms with a small kitchen and spacious bathroom. The Continental breakfast was more robust than expected and offered a good selection of meal options. The staff was attentive and informative.

I stayed at the Westfield Inn while interviewing for a job nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cookies at the front desk were a nice touch and a welcome snack after a long day. The room itself was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful and clean. I was not familiar with the area and the front desk staff was more than happy to provide suggestions for local spots to eat dinner that were close enough to walk to. I would definitely recommend the Westfield Inn to anyone visiting the area.

Room was nice and spacious. Bed was comfy. Had what I needed. The room walls/floors seemed not sound proofed enough (Heavy walking was heard from above, as if you would hear in an older house). Breakfast was plentiful when I was able to be present. The second night I had to leave very early in the morning, so I asked for the "breakfast go bag", which was offered to me. The breakfast "GO bag" idea was a good one, but maybe they could have put a bit more in there (there was just a bottle of water and a small three count breakfast biscuit cookies).
